Welcome to the City of Lithium! 2020 AD

The TEST building
science-building-artists-rendering.jpg

The weather was nice outside at around 75 degrees Fahrenheit with some white clouds that were made wonderful sun shafts to shine across the prospering city of Lithium. A small town turned growing city after TEST reopened it's doors. TEST is the leading force in science that has been closed for the last 25 years and only recently reopened a year ago. Though with a shady past TEST plans to remedy that to the public with a open house and more open policies overall. Allowing family members to visit low risk patients and allows citizens to test out the new gene mods and prosthetics in the testing stations in the lobby.
A large crowd has started to gather outside the large TEST facilities front, the doors have been locked and there are stanchions around the front entrance with a big podium.

"Attention people of Lithium! For the first time since our reopening we are opening our doors to the general populous in a large open house. We plan to come back from our roots and help Lithium become apart of life once again. We have opened up genetic clinics within TEST lobbies for sampling and prosthetic on show in the lobby. With that- Our doors are open"
2 stanchions had their holdings undone and people started flooding in, completely ignoring the announcers comment and filtered into the huge lobby of the TEST building. The building was well designed, with a sleek, futuristic appeal. There was even a Starbucks in the center in a small food stand similar to what you might find in a mall. To the east side of the lobby there was the gene clinic mentioned earlier was buzzing with people trying the newest technological innovations. Changing their hair color, sharpened teeth, and all of the newest innovations of gene changing technology. The prosthetic lab to the west had people showing off the newest enhanced prosthetics in shows in-front of the actual lab inside the lobby. One man broke a cinder block in half by striking it with 2 fingers with ease. It was all very cramped but well managed within the lobby with the large crowds but there were clearly sectioned off areas that went deeper into the facility in the far end from the entrance inside of the lobby. One of which areas was to the west next to the prosthetic lab and had a massive elevator next to a stairwell protected by 2 security guards who looked like your standard rent a cop; the door was key-card locked and required the proper clearance. The next area was next to the Gene lab was a smaller stairwell that lead deeper to the facility.

Inside TEST

Meanwhile inside of the internals of the TEST facility there was a much different kind of prep going on. The Risk I's were being shown to the mess hall where they could call their family members and visit them. The Risk II's were just now getting recreational time to talk to each other and go to the rec areas. The Then the Risk III's were just starting their real day with the bells going off for them to get up and prepare for their daily appointments however they should. Security was on it's highest, ever post was manned, ever ID was double checked, there was no stone left unturned by the security today in every risk level. This day had been talked about throughout the facility by everyone, everyone knew that today was open house day. Everyone for breakfast even got a special little cookie in the shape of a star, even the risk III's; whom had their breakfast delivered to them via a slit in the door.

Gregory stepped through the open doors, and it felt wrong. Any one looking around the lobby would see a world of wonder and scientific advancement. But they couldn't hear what was happening below. The lower the noise went the more depraved it got. Gregory couldn't stay long. He needed to stick to the plan. He pulled the collars up on his brown bomber jacket and pulled his cap a little lower. He lifted his camera, briefly stopping to untangle the strap from the bright red lanyard holding the fake press badge he had obtained from and associate, and started snapping photos of the crowded exhibits. He had let his beard grow out and dyed his hair black removing all traces of grey. It had been twenty five years since he had been here last and he wasn't sure if any of the original staff remained but he would take no chances. He took a few photos of the gene clinic, making sure to get as many CCTV cameras as he could in the shots without appearing to suspicious. He then approached the clinic and stood in one of the clumps of people while a staff member briefly explained the process. The people stood and gawked. They disgusted him. The chance to change their appearance or physical qualities played on their vanity so well that they forgot all about what TEST stood for. Gregory then turned and walked back into the center of the lobby turning and taking photos of the people around him.

He knew he wouldn't get much information from the lobby but he wasn't ready to go head to head with TEST yet, so for now the lobby would have to do. But he could at least do a small test of the security guards at the door. He reached out with his mind, focusing on a camera in the far corner near the prosthetic exhibits. He focused on the components his telekinesis wrapping around one of the many small wires. Gregory pulled the wire until he felt it give. As he did the small red light showing the camera to be recording flicked off. The camera could be fixed easily enough and would look like the wiring had failed, but it would allow Gregory to test the guards reaction. He simply sat at one of the Starbucks tables and watched the guards and waited.

Aubrey Harrison

Aubrey didn't believe the headlines she read. She remembered sitting with Carnival with their ripped up couches and crooked coffee tables. She remembered dropping her drink when it was announced. TEST was back.

Presently, her body simmered with heat as she stared at the prestige building. She just wanted to reach out and crush the whole thing with her palm. Like they had to her. Destruction. Her heart beated with that melody as she entered the building with all the other guests. She had no intention to meet her heart desires. She only wanted to look and maybe plan.

"Look, we can destroy this whole thing before it starts again." She had said to the mix-matched group. "We can..." Her voice drifted off desperately as she wanted them to finish. But all of them had the same look. One of disagreement.
"Resonance." A single voice spoke up. Everyone turning their eyes to his powerful bass tone. "No. We cannot go after TEST. I understand your incentive, but... We can die from such a thing."

Aubrey gritted her teeth as she found herself slamming her hand on the table. "YOU GO ON SO DAMN MUCH ABOUT JUSTICE! And when an injustice has been committed and you know it has..." Her voice went quiet as she realized her intense outburst. "You do nothing." Then she stormed out of the room. One of the members called out to her saying that TEST had changed, but she found herself flipping her off before slamming the door behind her.

Aubrey let out a slow and agonized sigh as she paused her thoughts. She needs to focus on the building. This open house is pivotal. She turned to the glass and stared at the interactive displays for people. She saw her reflection at first. Her blue eyes and dark from the bags hanging under them. Her silver hair tied up and bangs hiding her forehead in an attempt to look prompt and ready. Then, her eyes focused in at the display. The scientists showing their progress with joyful smiles. Her eyes could only stay trained on it for so long before she wanted to turn down the sound purposely. But the simple task would do her no favors. So she moved deeper into this hell.

The bell rang off. Paris blinked his eyes open, and for a moment, his vision was clouded with fluttering particles. Every morning, it was a familiar sight. Clutters of one cell organisms, exhaled from his lungs every time he fell asleep, floated over his head. He sighed. Yet again, more specks got blown into the air. He stood up, waving the specks away from his sight. He couldn't do much about them. Inhaling them would allow him to force them back inside his respiratory system, but with their numbers, a number large enough for him to be able to see them with his naked eyes, it would be a futile effort. Instead, he jumped off his bed and headed to the shower.

The shower, as he called it, was a human sized glass tube, with an air mask attached to it. Paris stripped and put his clothes into a small glass box. After he wore the air mask and entered the glass tube, water started to fill in. It felt cold. Some of the water was drained, replaced with gel-like substance. The gel was colder. He could feel the parasites on his skins peeled away. Paris shut his eye as the whole 'bathing' process went on by itself. As he felt the last of the liquid drained away, replaced by a stream of warm air, he took off the air mask and dressed up. His clothes went through a process similar to what he had gone through.

Fully clothed, he walked to the door and fetched his breakfast. The disposable tray was there. Bread, beef bacon, salad, juice on a disposable plastic plate with a disposable plastic spoon and fork. He took it up and went to sit on his bed. Only when he started to bite into his bread he noticed something unusual.

A star shaped cookie.

Paris held it between his thumb and index finger. Did something special happen today? They only gave cookies out on special occasion. He shook his head at this thought. Even if something special occured, it had nothing to do with him. He was a Risk III inmate. Special TEST 'subject' that wouldn't be able to get out of TEST even if he wanted to.

"Happy special day, TEST," he said to no one in particular. He popped the cookie into his mouth.

The sugary flavour of the cookie invade his tongue.

It left a bitter taste in Paris' mouth.

The lobby was frankly more then she needed, honestly at this rate they might as well just invite her in. Well they were. To be fair it was a good open house. The refreshments were nice she quite enjoyed an non-alcoholic punch and the tiny little sandwiches were delicious. It almost made up for her outfit. A blouse was just... drab. She had to look business casual, it wouldn't do to walk up to a science organizations reopening in a designer suit. She could rock it but she wasn't trying to make an impression. As it was she was in a thrift store blouse, slacks and a bow tie because she needed a little flair. She was just acting like a blogger, taking selfies with everything. Selfies that looked innocent enough but just so happened to contain key security points and cameras. It was one of her favorite MOs. The rise of social media was a godsend fr people who needed to take an obscene number of pictures. The building didn't look too challenging on its own, the only thing that worried her were the probable defenses against superpowers. She had, ideas about it though. But what interested her is one of her more obnoxiously framed pictures saw one of the cameras turn off. She was a professional thief. She knew test shots when she saw them. Carefully, betraying nothing, she began to look around, trying to find the saboteur, figuring they would be watching the camera.

Charlie Rose Madden
Charlie sat relatively far from the others in the rec area, sitting at one of the tables that lined the room. Massaging her neck with one hand, leaning back on the table as she watched the others in the room. She never considered herself an athletic person, more so she was blessed with a high metabolism which in terms meant exercising was not the main priority in her life. So she sat there watching others display their dominance, while some sat or stood in clusters consisting of two or three people making painful attempts of a normal conversation. She stretched, stifling a yawn before returning to her original position at the table.

Its been two years since, what she likes to call, the "incident". One mistake and you're labeled a mistake and a criminal for the rest of your life. Not that Charlie had much of a life before being brought her, seeing she barely have been alive long enough to have a life.

Looking around the room Charlie groaned. It was the same things day in and day out. Honestly, it's a true mystery how she hasn't gone mad. Charlie picked at the hem of her skirt, finding a loose string her mind was now focused on this one task. Not that she was focused on much else before then. Determined to cut the string away from her skirt Charlie went on her way, twisting the strand as she attempted to break it off. "Come on..." Charlie mumbled, biting her lip as she struggled with the string. It shouldn't be this hard, as it was simply a piece of string, but here she was struggling.

A few minuted passed until she heard the satisfying snap of the string. A small smirk appeared on her lips, holding the string between her fingers. Flicking it away from her as she returned to leaning on the table, her task for the day done.

Mark Shawn Creek
Test Building

With the number of people at this event, watching everyone became in a game in tedium. Still, Lithiums finest were deployed at this event for a reason. TEST could do a lot for this city being as big a company as it is. So the mayor thought it only good to send down some of the police as a nice gesture. Mark didn't mind too much. As a meta himself, he didn't mind being able to listen to people who were experts in that field. TEST has a fair few past transgressions, twenty-five years might not be enough time to heal those old wounds. So Mark was keeping his sunglass-covered eyes out for anything that might point to something suspicious.

At first, he didn't much of a chance to look around with the scientist wanting to talk to him about his skills. After giving some fluff answers he turned his attention to security. Looking around he found one of the cameras seemingly disabled. Looking around he didn't see anyone, then again with the number of people that would be finding a needle in a haystack. Pulling off the glove on his right hand, he placed said hand on the camera, he accessed his skill of looking through the history of an object. Turning back just a few minutes, he saw a man who looked around his age turning it off. The way he did though, it caused almost a feedback like effect Mark when he accessed that point in the camera's memory. Meta powered in some way, must have been how he did it without getting caught, it seemed the most likely answer. Either way, he still managed to get the mans face.

Taking off his hand and putting the glove back on. Mark decided to try and find the saboteur, first giving his fellow officers the rundown on what he saw.

8:43:53 AM Meanwhile in RISK III. . .
To the doctors and scientist inside of TEST it was all normal, slip everyone their schedules through their door, let them do what they are allowed to. Put those who need therapy through therapy. Everything that would be done in a normal day. Everyone were given their bulletin boards. Each one was tailored to the test subjects abilities, like and dislikes. The schedules are attached to clip boards.

Lillian Paris

The girl was going through her motions, She felt trapped in this cell at all times. . . mostly because she was. But that didn't stop her from trying to teleport at all times. Trying to get out whenever she could. Then the slit in her door opened and her schedule was slid through. The young redhead sighed and picked it up, then threw it across the room. When the clipboard hit a panel in the wall it hit with a loud thunk but nothing else. After about 5 minutes of waiting she had her assigned doctor walk in. A older middle aged indian man. With a very well shaven beard. He was a psychologist, and proceeded to question her about how she felt, she replied with a sour tone to all the questions.

She was tired of having to answer these questions every day. She was ready to get out of here. Luckily, she had a plan.

TEST lobby Inside the TEST lobby, after the camera went offline it took about 5 minutes for a security guard to get a message on his walkie talky and he left his post at the main door. Not far behind it was the security room that held most of the CCTV's for the lobby & the first 5 basement floors. He saw the police officer fiddling with it and waited till hew as done with it before going up to the camera to take a look at it. He went into the security room and pulled out a stool. Then started fiddling with the security camera to fix it. Apparently this happens often, and he wasn't told that it was fiddled with. So the door deeper into TEST to the East was unguarded. Behind the East door is a big open room that has a large elevator in the back wall. To the left of the room is the security room with all the CCTV's in it.

Risk II In the rec center there seemed to be a crowd gathering in the far corner that had yet to be broken up. There was a fight between to inmates, a mean looking thin Chinese man fighting a ripped black man. It seems that niether is winning or losing, but instead just exchanging blows; neither using Charged powers. They started exchanging blows barely a minute ago and people in the crowd were already setting bets. However, across the rec room one man was crouching next to a panel that had multiple 'DO NOT TOUCH' stickers on it. A bright light that looked somewhat like a welding arc was coming off his, but almost everyone attention was on the fight. He seemed to be melting the locks off the panel. He was not paying attention and had his back turned to everyone. He was taking advantage of this fight to use it as a distraction it seemed, as it usually takes a few minutes for guards to pass by to see something like this in a sectioned off corner that the panel was in.

Gregory watched as the officer walked over to the camera, removed his glove and touched it. He seemed to flinch a little when he came in contact with it. This was concerning. Gregory focused all his energy and reached out telepathically. The noise of all the people in the lobby dimmed to a murmur then came flooding back like a crowd shouting. Gregory gripped the edge of the table as his mind like a radio switching channels finally found the right spot. He got very little from the man. The psychic buzz coming off him indicated he was a charged, though Gregory was unable to determine his ability. He did hear the mans voice as he gave an almost perfect description of Gregory through the radio. He severed the link. He couldn't focus on it and his work. And because of this new charged he now had to work fast.

The Security guard leaned in to listen to his radio, then an annoyed expression came over his face. Gregory reached into his jacket pocket and prepared for the small window of opportunity. The guard opened the door behind him to grab a stool from the office. The door was open for just a few moments but the small object Gregory controlled skittered across the floor and slid into the office just as the door shut. Gregory moved it gently towards the air vent he had caught a glimpse of and when he felt the marble sized object reach it he opened one of the slats and slipped the object in. And his bug was in place. Now he had to move.
Gregory stood and walked towards the entrance. He felt a pair of eyes on him and turned to see one of the officers looking at him. Gregory tried to keep his pace steady but when the officer started walking towards him he couldn't keep himself from walking a little faster. He reached out towards the officer. He didn't want to hurt him and he couldn't reveal himself just yet, this had to be done well. Just a little push sent a child's toy falling out of the stroller, it rolled before coming to a stop right in front of the officer. When the officer stepped on the small toy car it slipped out from under him sending him down in a heap. As soon as the officer fell he changed direction and slipped into one of the restrooms locking a cubicle door behind him. Hopefully the officer would assume he kept heading to the door. If not. then this as going o be a very short mission.

Charlie Rose Madden

Charlie leaned forward as a fight broke out, her heart beating fast as adrenaline coursed through her veins. A fight always got Charlie excited and this fight was no exception. She decided to stand up to get a better look but a glint of light caught her attention. Turning around she saw a man crouched down near one of the panels. Raising an eyebrow Charlie smirked, "Pft. Amature." Charlie spoke as she went towards the door that leads out to the hallway. Pressing her hand against the door she started banging on it until she saw a familiar face. She smiled as he unlocked the door, "What is it Madden?" The older looking man asked pursing his lips as it was obvious he had better things to do. "Oh nothing but there is a fight going on and a possible break out going on in here." It was liked he couldn't open the door fast enough, although Charlie had placed herself so that he was forced to push past her.

It was only a slight of hand and a foot in the door and Charlie's plan was in motion. Clipping the officer's key card to the band of her bottoms as she slipped out the door. She pushed a door open that lead to the officers break room, grabbing a leftover uniform that lay near the lockers she quickly changed. Walking up to the nearby mirror Charlie touched her newly grown beard before chuckling, having morphed into the naive guard. Walking out she watched as guards rushed to the rec center, possibly still breaking up the fight. It was only a matter of time till they would realize she was missing. So she quickly walked to where she believed the exit would be, going through various doors before she finally found the exit. Shooting a small wave at the guard who stood watch at the door. "You have a good day." The guard said to Charlie, forcing her to suppress a chuckle before heading out, finding herself on the side of the TEST building.

Charlie could jump for joy but she knew she was not in the clear just yet. She needed to get as far away from the TEST building before they start searching for her. She could already feel herself growing tired of morphing for so long. Charlie realized she needed to find clothes to change into as she couldn't be walking around in an oversized officer uniform for too long.

Aubrey Harrison
Aubrey felt stiff as her eyes went directly to the off motions in the room. Mostly, when security guards started to shift from their pattern like positions. She felt her hands run stiffly through her hair as she watched kids play with tablets on the screen. She couldn't focus anymore. Staring and walking around didn't sooth her fast heart. This was the first time in a while that she truly had to make decisions by herself.

Which started to present itself when she saw the door unguarded. Her eyes didn't leave the door as she wanted desperately to pretend. She wanted to pretend that Carnival is for this idea. That she wasn't alone in this endeavor for reclaiming a long lost part of her life. She wasn't alone. That's all she wanted to believe.

She glanced around and found her body moving forward going through the motions by herself. She used her ability to silence the door knob as it turned and the door itself as it closed. Then, when she was away from everyone, she focused her ability on her feet as she made her way deeper in while others were distracted. This was like sabotaging, but it was a million times more risky. The idea though, gave her courage as she ducked close to the elevator. She silently stared at the contraption and felt the wheels in her mind start turning. Okay, this is a large elevator. I see several generators. Generators make the same frequency and amplitude if they work together. I can cancel those out, but the wheels have slight rust on them—The geers in her mind turned until she found herself with a solid plan to use her ability to make the elevator absolutely silent.

Her eyes were still trained on the door as she hid in the dark. She pressed a button and immediately closed her eyes. Focusing while hidden. Hoping the elevator will move down and take her up soundlessly. If she didn't screw up somehow.

Mark Shawn Creek
Test Lobby

With his fellow officers looking around for the suspect of the sabotage, Mark went about his usual locating methods. Finding a quiet part of the room, Mark looked around. He saw the security officer messing with the camera. He assumed that he was fixing or maybe checking it for himself, either way, no need to tell him just yet. The suspect was the main priority after all. Besides, apparently, the officer was not the brightest tool in the shed with him leaving the door unguarded. Going to two of is officers Mark told to keep an eye on the door for now, just in case. However, as he was talking to them, they missed someone going through said doors. As the officers took their positions, Mark went back to his investigation. TEST still had a lot of mysteries hidden within its complex and a lot of people with the inclination, or the grudge, for motivation in finding them out. Even Mark wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about them.

Going back to his locating, he started to use his powers. Looking at different locations he took 'pictures' of them, looking for the man who fit the description of the one who broke the camera. For a while it was how all investigations went, slow and dull. Then, in between the beverage consuming attendees and the waffling scientists, came just the person. He was good, he moved fast but didn't make it seem like was. He also perfectly matched the description to a T. A small smirk caught Mark's face. Quickly radioing two officers to get to the lobby exit, then signalling the officer who tripped to cover the male restroom door and to let no one in, Mark moved over to said restroom.

Entering, he closed the door behind himself. There was Mark, a man at a urinal, and someone in a cubical. Perfect. After the man at the urinal finished his business, Mark pulled his pistol from its holster.

Raising his voice he said, "This is Mark Creek of the LPD I have the exit covered, I know what you did to the camera." making sure the assailant knew exactly what position he was in.

"Come out quietly and this will go easy for you" Mark proclaimed in a harsh but explanatory voice. Keeping his weapon trained on the cubicle door, Mark waited by the bathroom exit for the assailant to give himself up.

Iride tapped the guard's response time into her notes, though it seemed that the one who responded was a police officer, not any private security, whose uniforms she'd learned to recognize. Interesting. What was more interesting was that the officer was not subtle about his power. One touch of the camera and several weird noises later and he was instantly aware of who did it. It was unlikely to be a problem for her, as if she did her job right the police wouldn't be involved, but it was interesting to see. Plus following the chaos subtly, it became pretty clear that the police and private security were not on the same page. Which was even better. But what interested her more was something one of her old mentors told her.
Biagio was an aging, balding Italian man with a creepy smile and a love of sewing. When she was 14 he taught her to sew at the demands of her mother. Apparently casing banks was not feminine enough a hobby. So every day she sat down with Biagio, the only person her uncle knew who could use a needle."Listen arcobaleno, " He said as he hemmed a onesie, "do you know why you need to learn to sew well?"
"So I can stab a bitch with a needle?" Iride said as she punched a needle through her junior sewing set with enough force to rip the cloth.
"No," Biagio laughed holding up the pristine uniform, "It's because big rich people love playing dress up with their employees, and looking good in a uniform will make anyone buy that you belong."
Iride's mind was blown then, but now, watching the suspicious figure in an ill fitting uniform, she was reminded of the importance of having a good tailor. The figure was acting odd, not blending in well at all and after they ducked around the corner. Iride followed and as the figure began to look around the thief cleared her throat. "So, where'd you get that uniform, because excuse me if I'm assuming, you don't work here."

Mariana sat on one of the soft, plush couches in the rec area. She would sometimes talk to people, depending on her mood, but today she didn’t feel like it. She merely recalled the events of the day, which weren’t many considering that it was still early morning.

Breakfast was served in the average way, but today there was a special little gift of a sugar cookie. Mariana could remember biting into it, feeling the crunch and the little sugar quartzes melting in her mouth, leaving an overbearingly sweet aftertaste long after she swallowed. She did not like it, but she ate it compliantly.

In the rec room, Mariana looked around to see a few familiar faces. She saw the platinum-haired girl, Charlie, and some others she recognized. She looked up at a faraway clock. 8:43AM and ticking. A sigh escaped her lips. Time passed by both quickly and slowly in that place. She felt a rush of anxiety as she remembered her appointments would follow after the recreational time was over. She hated being tested on in the Power Research Center. The name itself was too politically correct. It was more than just a research center. It was a recurring nightmare of testing and examination meant to hurt as the doctors and scientists wear a large, patronizing smile.

Her attention turned quickly as she saw and heard a fistfight break out between two men. “Ay yai yai,” she sighed, wondering why the two were fighting anyway. Her eyes caught a glimpse of sudden light, a different young man literally melting the locks on a panel with large ‘DO NOT TOUCH’ labels on it. “Hm.” She smiled to herself. If he succeeded, she would bolt out of there.

And he did. Charlie passed by quicker than Mariana could even blink, and her smile grew. She quickly look to both her left and right and saw that many were still focusing on the fight which would not draw attention to the escape route. She ran right behind Charlie as fast as her legs could carry her. She went for the one unguarded room in her sight, the East, which happened to have an elevator to the back. Pressing the elevator button to descend, she watched it open at an insufferably slow pace. Once it opened just enough, she entered and the machine began to descend.

The elevator led to an exit, and she found herself outside the TEST building. She looked up and around, feeling far too many emotions. She knew she had to compose herself even though she felt panicky for about what she’d do next and extremely happy for how far she got at the same time. She saw a person around her own height in a baggy uniform. Another girl cbecame in her sight, clearly suspicious of the figure as well. But Mariana didn’t inquire. Or at least not yet. She looked around attentively to get a hold of her surroundings.

The doctor had left his case open. Moreover, Paris could see the glint of the metallic scalpel inside. If he was to grab it and nab the doctor, he could escape. His eyes darted erratically between the scalpel and the syringe held by the doctor. He winced as the needle punctured the skin of his upper right arm, drawing his blood. The cylindrical tube of the syringe was slowly turning red. As the doctor back was turned, Paris slowly reach for the scalpel. He had it in his hand. All he need was to lunge at the doctor.

But he hesitated.

Even if he successfully jumped the doctor, what come next? He was deep underground and the hallway was surely to be guarded. If he managed to go outside, what would follow? His power made him a threat to society, whether he liked it or not. They could order a manhunt on him. Was living on the run his only choice? They could order him to be shot at sight. Him, roaming around freely was the equivalent of letting a biological weapon all alone to its own device after all. Would he be strong enough to endure through it?

"What are you doing?"

The doctor had seen him with the scalpel.

It was a moment of impulse. An unpremediated act. Paris lunged at the doctor, aiming the scalpel at his neck. At the same time, he exerted all pathogens he could think of through the pore of his right hand. Coxsackie B, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus. He pour everything he could think of at the spur of the moment from his right hand.

The scalpel cut through the plastic part that made up the facial part of the suit. The doctor had tried to evade, but the scalpel cut open a part of his skin. Blood was trickling.

It was more than enough.

Paris fazed out for a moment. When he came to, the doctor was laying cold on the floor. He was silent for a moment.

As if in a trance, he stripped the doctor from his hazmat suit and stashed him into the glass tube in the bathroom. The doctor wore a lab apron under the suit. Paris searched him for anything that might help him get out of there. He wore the hazmat suit over his own clothes. He was going.

Charlie Rose Madden

Charlie was growing tired of keeping her form of a middle-aged man. Attempting to walk out of the building without drawing attention, which was hard as her heart beat fast and all she could think of was running. Smoothing the uniform over the bulging stomach that had come with this form Charlie took a deep breath and started walking. One foot in front of the other. Almost there. Charlie thought to herself, her freedom only a few steps away.

Although her freedom came short when a girl stepped in front of her, which caused Charlie to scowl. Looking down at the girl her eyes grew a bit wide as the girl spoke. Charlie's hand going up to her face, wondering if she had already started to morph back to herself. Her fingers touching the coarse hairs above her lip, signaling to her she had indeed not morphed back, at least not yet anyway. She could feel her body growing tired from holding her form for so long but knew she couldn't give up now. Glancing over at one of the guards that stopped to look at her and the girl, probably wondering why Charlie wasn't following behind him, she sent a shrug his way to show the girl was just being another nosey tourist. So hey what could she do about it.

"I had to borrow this from a coworker little girl. Now if you excuse me I have some business to attend to." Charlie knew that calling the person in front of her a little girl would probably get under her skin, not that she cared. All she could think about was getting out before she morphed back. Pushing the girl in front of her aside Charlie caught a glimpse of Marina and groaned. It's like everyone decided to escape today. Charlie thought as she walked over to her, grabbing her arm as she leaned down and whispered in her ear. "You seriously had to escape today? Just play along and we'll be home free." Straightening out Charlie started to guide Marina to the back entrance hoping the officers would take it as Charlie escorting someone out, but the way things were playing out today she knew it probably wasn't going to be that easy.

"Pft, " Iride giggled, "You're full of shit old man and I think we both know it."She said as the escapee pushed by her and met another, a girl this time who looked even more lost. Seriously was the art of proper preparation lost on these people? She even alerted another guard which was, deescalation. Well whatever if she was going to be the terrible tourist, terrible tourist it would be. Strutting like Beyonce she threw her arms over the two and smiled, sticking her phone out for a selfie, "Alright on three everyone smile and say I'm trying to help an escapee and have an easy exit route for you!" She said with a shit eating grin that was only half fake, snapping the shot so she could immortalize the reaction as she followed their footsteps. It helped that htis new girl was... kinda cute but still neither here nor there.

This was not going well. In a matter of minutes Gregory's plan had crumbled due to this apparently omniscient charged. Fine. Plan B. Gregory pressed the flush button sending his fake press pass down the toilet. He took his phone out and quickly set it to record before placing it in his pocket with the camera facing outward. He then opened the cubicle door and put his hands out first showing he had no weapons. The last thing he needed was to get shot by a trigger happy cop. He left his hands there for a second before stepping out of the cubicle. There were at least twenty way Gregory could disarm the officer without him firing a shot. Only five were non-lethal. And while it would be quick and easy it would also tear any chance of finishing his plan. So Gregory played it smart. "What seems to be the problem officer?"

This wasn't going to go well.
