(Pronounced the same as the city of Cairo, Egypt)
main_red_eyes_by_kumoriryuu_deot1sv-fullview.jpg

Age: ~24
DOB: Unknown
Height: 6’ 2” (~188 cm)
Weight: 200 lbs (~90 kg)
Voice: Voice (Levi)

Specialization: Close Quarters Combat, Dual Orichalcum Daggers

Secondary Weapon(s): Throwing Knives/Shuriken, Smoke Bombs

Personality: Appearing on the surface as the incarnate of “apathy,” Kyero displays no external emotion regardless of the situation. The only exceptions to this are very rare, and they only occur when specific mental and emotional barriers are breached. As expected of the Red-Eyed Demon, Kyero is driven by logic and efficiency over emotion and will not hesitate to violate any aspect of “morality” if it means getting what he needs out of his target. And yet, for all the coldness and brutality, small unseen acts of kindness seem to precede his more brutal appearances. Lost children being guided home. Vagrants suddenly finding small pouches of coin next to them. And women fleeing would-be aggressors suddenly finding themselves alone with no pursuer in sight.

Bio: Little is known about the history of this mysterious individual save that he first appeared in the year 738. Still but a child, he slew Senator Csargil Virmonte of Triveila while he was making a public speech on a balcony overlooking a large crowd in the Central Square of the Capital city Auxeras. His glowing red eyes instantly sparked a panic and 6 people lost their lives in the chaos while another 39 were injured. Never before had a single assassination caused such a stir. And thus the legends surrounding the Red-Eyed Demon began.

For those seeking a modicum of truth amidst the rumors, myths, and legends, allow me to tell you a tale… Kyero was taken to Roda Valley by his father, a cultist, who attempted to sacrifice the boy to a demonic spirit by tying him to a pole and stabbing him below the heart to allow the spirit an easier time of taking over his body. The ritual was interrupted, and thus the main body of the spirit was banished back to the world from whence it had come. But it left a fragment of itself behind which manifested in the glowing crimson irises Kyero is now known for. How he went from the ritual to becoming part of Te’i Sai remains a mystery. But once Te’i Sai found him, there was no turning back.

As the face of the most powerful assassin organization on the continent, Kyero became a living nightmare known for his brutality and his lack of fear of being seen. One of the many legends surrounding him claims that he split a man from clavicle to groin while he was still alive and simply stood there and watched the life leave his eyes before staring down one of the onlookers and then disappearing. Another myth claims there were sightings of him in both Triveila and Cre' Est on the same day at the same hour in cities that were over 600 miles apart. And yet another claims that he ran down a horse which was in a full gallop and leaped into the air to take the head off its rider before his feet touched the ground again. How much is truth? How much is fiction? None remain who know.

Today, following his not-so-friendly departure from Te’i Sai, the Red-Eyed Demon wanders in search of a new purpose.

(Lorraine Xe' Almna)
lorraine_by_kumoriryuu_dek6a99-fullview.jpg

Age: ~23
DOB: 16th Day, 3rd Ertal Moon
Height: 5’ 4” (~162.5 cm)
Weight: 125 lbs (~57 kg)
Voice: Voice

Occupation: Doctor

Equipment: Shoulder pouch containing medical wraps, pre-prepared salves and bottled medical brews, mortal and pestle, scalpel, tweezers, and gloves.

Personality: Lorraine is the personification of the word "benevolence." She hasn't a single skin cell's worth of aggression or malevolence, and treats everyone with kindness, respect, dignity, and grace. Raised as a proper young woman of Cre' Est Lorraine is very polite and well-mannered, and does not take kindly to lapses in social etiquette or proper behavior. When tending to her patients she always seems to be very relaxed. But she takes her work very seriously and demands the best from her nursing staff. This especially true in the surgical room where she will not tolerate lapses in focus or failure to follow protocol or directions. Though a snap or momentary flare in her temper is rare, it does happen. And when it happens it can be unusually intimidating coming as it does from a woman of her normal demeanor.

Bio: Lorraine Xe' Almna was born in Valkyom, capital city of Cre' Est, to father Ven and mother Therease on the 16th day of the 3rd Ertal Moon twenty-three years ago. Ven was, at the time, a Commander in the Cre' Itian military and her mother worked as a local physician for the Royal family. The two met one evening after a border skirmish with Veilbrand when Ven had taken an arrow to the clavicle as well as a bullet to the right thigh. Through banter that was almost too casual given the situation he found himself in, Ven unknowingly charmed Therease with his wit and calm, commanding attitude. Shortly before his release from her care she requested to meet with him under less stressful circumstances, and despite accepting Ven didn't exactly pick up on the hint as to what this request really was. However, on the agreed upon day Ven found himself entranced by Therease who'd gotten herself elegant, yet fittingly casual clothing and had changed her hairstyle to a bun with bangs on either side of her face. A few dates later the pair had become inseparable.

Lorraine's birth as the first daughter to the Almna household was a celebrated event for both families. And early on Ven made it clear he wanted his daughter to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a doctor. His belief that there was more than enough conflict and more than enough soldiers and warriors in the world was shared by the family which made it easy to convince all those with medical backgrounds, including Therease's sister and aunt, to pitch in with Lorraine's upbringing and medical training. As such, by age 4, Lorraine was already well-versed in all of the local herbs surrounding the capital city of Valkyom. Her mother taught her what their names were, showed her what they looked like, which were safe and which were poisonous, and Therease's sister and aunt both pitched in to help teach Lorraine how to both extract their fluids and useful parts and mix/grind them into salves and brews to be used for a variety of situations.

By age 6 Lorraine began displaying a prodigious talent for medicine and herbology, and with the help of her family her studies in both fields saw near immediate gains. By age 11 her family had nothing more to teach her as they'd poured all of their knowledge and experience into her training. Lorraine was, with a few strings pulled by her father who was now a General, accepted into the Cre' Itian Medical University at age 14 where she spend four years intensively studying under the greatest living medical minds in the entire nation. And thanks to both her back-breaking work ethic and her prodigious talent she graduated with the highest honors at age 18 and was certified as a Doctor the very next year at age 19 almost immediately before she founded the Almna Apothecary and Clinic. With the lowest prices in Cre' Est for medical services, alongside a policy that no patient is ever turned away regardless of their circumstances, she has made a name for herself internationally as the Angel of Cre' Est.

However, approximately four years ago, right after she founded her clinic and began working and started making a name for herself, she took a mysterious 3 month leave of absence during which time nobody knew where she went or what she was doing...

Name Banner2.png
Mayumi, Eyes should be grey
Name: Mayumi
Age: Turning 18 this calendar
DOB: 15th day of the 2nd Sohtal Moon (Given by her Teacher the day he found her)
Height: 4' 9" (150cm)
Weight: 105 lbs (48kg)
Voice: Voice (Similar but a little quieter)

Specialization: Long Ranged Combat
Secondary Weapons(s): Orichalcum Edged Long Dagger, Traps, Poison, Sora (Golden Eagle)

Personality:
Mayumi is usually calm and dispassionate though there are exceptions. Example of an exception, if Sora gets harmed on purpose she would more than likely be upset. The afflicter would be paid two fold the damage caused. She avoids crowds as much as possible but when necessary uses it to her advantage.

Mayumi's Bio:
Mayumi was found as a seemingly abandoned toddler by a rogue of Te'i Sai. The rogue tested her and saw potential for his field of expertise within her. He took her in, taught her the ways of a Long Ranged Assassin and trained her mercilessly. When she barely made the cut, she was sent on missions that were always a notch above her level leaving her with fatal injuries.

By the time she reached 15, she was well known as Silver Hawk, a highly capable long ranged assassin. While out on a solo mission, her Teacher was captured, tortured and murdered. Upon finding his fallen battered corpse and a note from his murderers, Mayumi did not know what to feel. She burned his corpse and scattered his ashes in a river that travelled out into an ocean as he had told her many times before.

She followed the note left for her and found a man named Kyero. Kyero answered questions she had. He saw her potential and offered to train her in close ranged combat for defense. She accepted for the sake of meeting her Teacher’s murderers. The two travelled together for the duration of her training and had multiple encounters with Te’i Sai and a man named Rosche.

After Mayumi’s assassins’ gift awakened, there was an instance when she was captured and tortured by Rosche. He fed her rumors about Kyero and how he was ill-fit to be her mentor so on and so forth. This got Mayumi unintentionally distancing herself from Kyero. Bad move. With them separated, Kyero was overwhelmed and met his sudden death at the hands of Rosche.

After Kyero’s death, Mayumi left the entourage to reflect and train by herself. Having lost 2 mentors in a short span period gave her a strange feeling. One she decided she did not want to let fester like a weed. As time slowly passed her by, the strange feeling faded.

Sora
Sora’s Bio:
Sora was picked up by a ten year old Mayumi as an abandoned Chick most likely caused by Human disturbances. Despite being abandoned, the male golden eagle was still fighting deaths’ grasp. Mayumi saw this and having gone through the same experience, she raised and trained it. Now Sora is her faithful scout and battle aide.

Name: Inka Ve’ Lie
Age: 15
D.O.B.: 8th Day, 4th Sohtal Moon
Height: 5’4 (162.56 cm)
Weight: 100 lbs (45.36)
Voice: Voice (Kanao)

Somehow I Have Ended Up In A BL Otome Game_ - Chapter 1(Unedited).jpeg

Occupation: Bookkeeper/Poison Maker

Equipment: Book of Recipes (for poison), Book (for leisure), Dagger, Vials of Poison

Personality: Inka is a very soft spoken person, but if she needs something, she can turn on her charisma and such, so she can get what she needs. She is also a very hard-working and diligent person, this is mostly because of her childhood. She was also gifted with a lot of intelligence, she was able to make a poison at 10.

Bio: Inka had a rough childhood, as seen in her name, her mother died giving birth to her. But before she was disowned, she had an older brother who was on his way to become the owner of their family business, which is a tavern. But when she was born, as said, her mother died after she was born. And as tradition, her family resented her until she turned 8, that’s when they decided to disown her.

When she was disowned, she didn’t have anyone to go to. She wore the same clothes all the time and didn’t have a change of clothes. Eventually after a few days, she stumbled into a library in her area, and she was lucky, since the librarian took pity on her. From that point, the librarian became kind of like her mother. She learned how to sew her own clothes, read and write, cook, and even more. The librarian even let her live inside of the library, but in return she had to work in the library, which Inka didn’t mind.

One day, when she was 10, she stumbled across a book about making poisons. She asked the librarian about it and decided that she would indulge Inka with her interest. They went out and bought all the equipment and ingredients for a very simple sleeping poison. They set it all up outside and Inka spent hours on making the poison, and she succeeded.

Now, as a 15 year old, she feels bad to always rely on the librarian. The librarian was getting really old, and Inka thought she deserved to retire or something like that. She talked it over with her and they decided that Inka was old enough to go out on her own. So she set out, with all the things she brought with her and some money for her travels.

Turin Tya'Velis
turin.jpg

Age: 30
Date of Birth: 5th Day, 2nd Laetel Moon
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 190 lbs
Voice: None, he cannot speak.

Occupation: Former honor guard of the Veilbrand family.
Specialization: Hand-and-a-half grip swords, Warhammers, Maces, Shields.
Equipment: Mace, shield, armor and all the equipment to wear it, a single change of clothes, two days of rations.

Personality: Unwavering. Relentless. Loyal. These are the things that describe Turin the best. Not once has he ever turned away from a battle in fear, and not once has he ever let a superior in his line of sight take a blow that would be fatal. This is something he takes great pride in, knowing that every stupid, brash, arrogant commander and general to foolhardily charge headfirst into battle would be safe under his protection. However, he has never voiced this to anyone but Lucerina Veilbrand, as he does not speak unless spoken to, like a good soldier. He holds an immense sense of responsibility on his shoulders, and with it an incredible sadness that he cannot express with words, as he cannot speak. Turin is slow to trust and is always on high alert, but when you earn his trust through actions, there is no safer place to be than by his side.

Bio: From a young age, Turin had the shortest end of the stick. Unlike more ambitious nobles, racing to grasp the most power and hold onto it as long as possible, Turin never had the opportunity to truly enjoy his high-born heritage. Born as the third child of four, he was too late to be considered for any real responsibility, or as a backup to the eldest child, and too early to simply live a life of luxury and pampering as his youngest sibling did. No, Turin wasn't destined to command the courts or spend his days carelessly wasting money that once belonged to the taxpayers, he was offered as tribute to another lord to be trained as a knight, as tradition dictated.

As tradition held, Turin grew up as a squire to a knight of high standing, coming into his own when he came of age and was granted the title of knight at 19 during a skirmish against rebels that had thrown his master off his horse and knocked him out cold. Thinking quickly, Turin took up his master's sword and shield and did not move from the spot where the knight had fallen, even as the pull and push of the battlefield had him overwhelmed with enemies from every direction. Badly beaten, Turin had gained 7 scars that day, and the respect of both his enemies and friends. Though he wasn't able to walk for a week, he was knighted two days after the battle for his heroic actions at the cost of his own personal safety.

Loyalty, no matter the kingdom, is always rewarded. Turin rose through the ranks and proved himself time and time again to put his life on the line for others. Campaign after campaign, his supervisors ensured that if they were to go out to battle, the stalwart knight would be within their company just in case something were to happen. In his duty, he intercepted 13 arrows, took 34 blows, drank 3 poisoned wine glasses, and thwarted 2 assassination attempts on his master's life. At the end of his last campaign, he thought to himself "Is it my lot in life to put myself on the line for others?" His next promotion confirmed his thoughts.

He was made honor guard to the ruling noble hierarchy and assigned to look over the youngest of them, Lucerina Veilbrand.

Now, he was no stranger to the atrocities of the Veilbrand family. Egruus was detestable by every sense of the word, an incompetent ruler who whipped his populace into submission through fear and unfair rules. He considered himself lucky due to his birth that he would never have to experience such low conditions himself, but he knew at some point he would have to deal with them face to face eventually. However, he didn't expect that of the four siblings, cunning Lucerina would be his charge. Eurdegahn was the eldest, and thus already had a sufficient guard since his birth. Xeres obviously did not need one on account of his size and combat prowess. He expected he would be assigned to Ty, but apparently, he had been given all of the guards that Lucerina had not liked, and that she had chosen him personally for his loyalty and his ability to remain unwavering despite circumstance.

Though this surprised him, Turin nonetheless prepared himself to work tirelessly to protect the lives of those around him just as he had on the battlefield, always on alert, always ready for an attack on his master's life without any regard of his own. When it was revealed to him that he would be her sole guardian at all times, he knew that something strange was afoot. When he was introduced to the young princess, his suspicions were confirmed: Lucerina did not want for an average bodyguard. She wanted a companion, and he was the only candidate available who did not growl at himself for being assigned to a girl instead of tasting the blood of his enemy.

For 6 years, Lucerina was under his protection. Not a day passed where he didn't train, but not a day passed where the princess and her bodyguard did not enjoy each other's company. Despite her father and siblings, she was a kind-hearted individual. Many times he had thrown himself in the way of a fatal blow just to be tossed aside by his commander as a limp body, ungrateful for his protection against the attempt on their life. With her, however, each of these scars was another afternoon story to be told over a cup of tea. His anxiety of the next attack that would be tried on his master's life passed with time, and he settled into the life of being a princess's sole guardian.

He still curses himself to this day for letting his guard down.

Lucerina, as far as he knows, is in perfect health, just as he left her. He had always made sure that she was in perfect health. Turin made sure every day, before he let the princess off to her quarters for the night, that the day hadn't left any blemish or scratch on her skin, or Auxereilla help whatever unlucky sod was caught at the other end of Turin's wrath. He just never expected to have to be on guard against the person he was charged with defending as well.

One afternoon, during their tea session overlooking the sprawling city, the sun shone high in the sky. A lone bird of prey cried into the rocky peaks as traders cautiously pulled their overstuffed wagons into Valoc. Lucerina had poured them both a cup of tea as she often liked to do, as "It's the one thing I can do for you" as she put it, and as Turin took a deep draw of his cup, he could feel his throat convulsing the second the fluid passed through it. He instinctively threw the expensive cup to the ground and grasped at his own neck. He couldn't breathe at all, and yet, as he knocked over his chair trying to find his breath, Lucerina seemed perfectly fine. His vision went black as he thrashed about in confusion, destroying her favorite tea set, and damaging the intricate wooden balcony.

When he finally came to, it was Ty Veilbrand and his men who greeted him in a dusty courthouse. Apparently, Lucerina had been hurt on Turin's watch, and not only that, he had every reason to believe that this was an act of treachery, performed by Turin himself. When he tried to speak up, he found his voice would not come at all. Not a single word came out of his mouth as Ty's men picked him up and began to drag him away as his final judgment was given to him there and then: exile unless he or Lucerina had anything to say for him. Lucerina was there in the stands, and yet she too said nothing. Her eyes did not meet his, and Turin knew that she must've had a hand in this. Who else could've poisoned the tea? In fact, he was sure she didn't drink any to begin with!

He was tossed into his own quarters, nearly stripped of everything that had ever been given to him, his accolades, his personal belongings, everything except for his armor and a set of weapons: the shield of his former master and a gift Lucerina had given him on his first anniversary of guardianship, an elaborate mace. He had a day to leave the city, after that he would be declared a public enemy of the throne, the day was just a nicety as per courtesy of the Veilbrand family.

Now, Turin wanders the land, mute, looking for a purpose in his life once more, and trying to uncover the truth of his exile. Why would Lucerina betray him like that? Every time he thought of it, the feeling would sting him, but he refuses to take his own life. Perhaps, a new master would need his protection, and he would be the one to put his life on the line once more.
