Fantasy BoN: Stone Age

Blackrock Troop
1687311938077.png
Actions
1. Train New Unit with Technology (Wheel) constructed with Wood/ Stone(Inspiring Keyword used) (10 population used)

An inspiration had struck the monkey hordes of the Blackrock Troop. They would create a grand battle weapon that would be on Wheels. Something that no one around here had ever seen before. It would strike fears into their foes and inspire their own troops. A true weapon of Monkeykind.

The Battle Wagon, it was to be called. It was capable of throwing large rocks a great distance very hard and it didn't take too many of them to have to operate it either. It was covered in spikes with the front shaped like a large skull and they also painted the battle wagon Red. Since everyone knew that Red Things moved faster.

Unlock new unit type: Battle Wagons

Gain 2 Battle Wagons
Ranged Boulder Attacks
Fear(1)

2. Train 10 Monkey Battalions with Technology (Pigmentation) (Inspiring Keyword used)

The Monkey Battalions were trained, but not well enough as 3 of the 10 wandered off into the wastes. Rumors had it that they had been swallowed up by some great beast that lay out there, just waiting to pick off lone stragglers or the uninitiated. But when out searching for the missing 3, they came across something BETTER. A Copper Club

BREAK POINT:
  1. Talk some sense into Jo
  2. Have Jo challenged to Single Combat by a chosen champion

Vokar, great Chieftain of the Tendua Tribe, sat upon a large strange coloured rock in quiet contemplation of the events that had brought him and the rest of his tribe here to this otherworldly realm deep beneath the earth.

Upon returning to his tribe, he was met with a mixture of awe, fear, and uncertainty. His body bore the marks of a struggle that surpassed the limits of mortal endurance, leading many to believe he had become nothing more than a phantom. They huddled around him cautiously as he addressed them, his voice carrying the weight of his ordeal. He described his harrowing encounter with the Shadow Panther and then his exchange with the Panther Demon itself. Though he spoke of the subterranean jungle and the wonders it held, he made no mention of the pact he had made with the demon that precipitated it, aware of the unease it might invoke.

The notion of an underground haven, teeming with strange and wonderful resources, both enticed and unsettled his tribe. While apprehension lingered in the hearts of the Tendua, they knew their chief would never bring harm upon them and they mustered the courage to embark on the journey into the depths of the Skull Mound. Equipping themselves with whatever they could carry, they ventured into the unknown, following Vokar's lead. The Shadow Panthers that had obstructed his path before with savage fury, now granted him and his tribe easy passage.

As they descended into the subterranean realm, Vokar's animal keen hearing could pick out the concerned whispers of one of his warriors as fear crept in and they remarked that he was leading them straight to the underworld, or as the Tendua knew it, Patala. There may have been truth to his companion's words, for the strange alien environment was almost beyond comprehension, but Vokar did his best to alleviate his tribe's fears, for Patala held the potential to sustain them and provide a future for the tribe.

As the Tendua began to settle into their new home, it became clear that they were not the first outsiders to travel here for refuge. The animals that they once shared the land with above had made their way down here before them. The tribe had assumed that they had all been wiped out in the cataclysm that befell their lands but it appeared that some of them had found sanctuary here, in this alien space, too. This revelation gave renewed hope to Vokar for if they had managed to carve out an existence here, then he and his tribe surely could as well.

Vokar was torn from his musings by the sound of hurried footsteps approaching him from one of his returning scouts. He had sent out an advance party to explore their new home whilst the rest continued building a settlement. He looked in the direction of the Pygmy Fighter as he relayed his findings. "I shall explore this Temple personally." Vokar said to his comrade. "I want you and the other scouts to continue investigating our new home. We need to learn as much as we can about the animals and plants of Patala if we hope to survive here."

Break Point
1. Send an exploration team to explore the Temple
2. Bar any from entering the Temple and make it forbidden
3. Leave the temple for now. (There are other things of greater importance to deal with)

Breakpoint Select: 1 (Resolved on Discord)
Action 1:
The beginnings of a navy.

Using the 15 Rabble Rousers, they were able to find a location on the coast that was perfect for constructing "boats". They managed to build 4 Large Raiding Rafts. They are capable of holding up to 4 individuals on the raft and contains a secret compartment for holding up raided Goods. Each raft can hold 1 GOODS
Action 2:
The expansion of farmland.

The farmland was grown with relative ease. They knew that with a growing population, that they would need to have more food to supply them. Without knowledge of Irrigation, it was not as easy as they would have liked, but they still managed to grow some hearty crops within a season. GAIN POTATOES and CARROTS

The Flesh Prophets

Selassie stood, crackling with newfound power. Lightning pulsed through her veins with each heartbeat. Atop her head sat a bone crown with steel tips. Her forehead was marred with the interlinked sun symbols of ZOA. Melenik let his massive sledgehammer fall to the ground in awe of Selassie's transformation. It hit the ground and shook the earth. This simple changeling diplomat had been blessed by the empyrean will of their God, and was now a living single of the divine metamorphosis. The sun beat down on the duo, congratulating them on the hard-fought battle.

Crumpled, dribbling corpses surrounded them both. Melenik took a knee and bowed his head for his lost allies. The golem had taken much from the hive. But ZOA has always persevered. The hot sand cooked the flesh ever so slightly and gave off a nauseating aura, reminding the duo just how deadly the golem had been.

The duo trudged home. Happy, but full of trepidation at the thought of new golems. They were met with nearly every single member of ZOA’s collective standing and staring with awe at Seleassie.

Happiness radiated through their psionic network. It had been a long, hard fought battle. But Selassie came back home and realized why it was all worth it. Her people looked at her with awe.
1687380101678.png From a rocky outcropping, an anthropomorphic bat stared at Selassie. His skin was flain off and a massive, putrid insect was woven throughout his skull. He was the leader of this tribe. Mr. Shadows, first herald of ZOA was the name his enemies said with trembling breath. Jealousy flared in his entrails as he watched his people surround Selassie as he worked on a new flesh golem.

Mr. Shadows never felt like he was truly one with ZOA. He was the result of a hasty mind control procedure in the pitch of battle. As a result, he was never gifted with powerful transformative abilities that came so naturally to even the most pitiful neonate.

With a crunch he socketed in the arm of his current project, then melted the flesh together with a beam he pulled from the sun. He couldn’t take his eyes off the beautiful crown that sat atop Selassie’s head. Why did ZOA bless her of all people? She was but a simple diplomat. He tried to connect with her telepathically but failed. It always failed.

He angrily shoved his golem over. None of this was fair. He was an audience to one of the greatest families in existence, but all he could do was watch everyone else have fun.

Perhaps one day when the landscape was blanketed with flesh and every being turned to a prophet, ZOA would reward him.

Actions
1. Send shapeshifted humans into Oakdale to evaluate its military capabilities, and how much biomass there is.
2. Begin butchering local wildlife for more MOVING PARTS.

Breakpoint:
Resolved in DMs, gained hero

For future reference I will post sooner, I thought this was a weekly thing. I will also update my sheet with my military and whatnot.

The Aros Tribe
1687401375611.png
1. Begin attempting to sing homes from the trees of the forests

Through Kindness, song and their own physical prowess, they cultivate the trees to grow in such a way as to naturally be used for homes with just a bit of additions without damaging or injuring the trees themselves. The people are in tune with the nature around them and it shows. Due to the relative comfort of their homes, your people are now HAPPY AND CONTENT- They gain resistance against outside forces that would attempt to subvert their happy lives and homes. Also, as long as this settlement stands, gain an additional 1d6 Green Soldiers a turn

2. Explore the surrounding area for anything important

The people explore the surrounding area in the forest and uncover a few things:

-A Swamp Witch and a Mud Witch seem to be having an argument. It apparently has been an ongoing issue for the last hundred years or so at least.

- A talking sword is trapped in a Stone. It says that whomever can pull it out will be the NEXT KING OF BOLTAVIA

- A deposit of SILVER was uncovered in a small cave

Breakpoint
  1. Talk with the Treant (Resolved on Discord)
  2. Kill or capture the Treant
  3. Ignore the Treant and let it move through their territory

The Glimmerhill Giants
1687402095233.png

BREAK POINT:
  1. Fight the Bandits
  2. Parlay with the Bandits
  3. Leave the Bandits Alone (For now)"

The giants will move (en masse) to parlay with the bandits, bringing a small group of boar but fully prepared to start stomping should things get ugly. (RESOLVED ON DISCORD)

ACTIONS:

1. Kessel, Kamut, and a ranging party will scout for interesting things in the southeastern crags. (Bringing 2 Tuskfire Marauders, 2 Mammoths, 20 Grungle Grunks, and 10 Living Rocks).

They search the Southeastern Crags from "something interesting" and eventually find something very interesting. A large PINK BLOB that seemed to be slowly engulfing nearby mushrooms. With each mushroom that it ate, it got bigger and bigger. As they watched it, it eventually was half the size of a Grunkle Grunk. If it kept growing, could it possibly get larger than a Giant?

What little thought process that was going on in their heads was put to a stop when the PINK BLOB exploded and covered Kessel in Pink Goop. It tasted delicious.

Looking a bit further, they find a small group of them in between the rocks. GAIN PINK BLOB FARM

2. The Giants will use the Slop and Living Rocks to help carve out a rugged amphitheater/forum near the peak of Onan's rock.

With the combined effort of the Slops and Living Rocks, it is a job that was made easy to create a forum. Soon enough, they are writing crude plays that usually involve playing a PRANK on someone in the audience. But that becomes part of the fun. Especially since its someone different every time.

Its so much fun, that the human bandits from the nearby town come to partake in the joy too. GAIN +1 HAPPINESS. ALL FRIENDLY UNITS IN THE HOME TERRITORY ARE ABLE TO RESIST -1 NEGATIVE PENALITIES.

The Tendua Tribe
1687483024578.png

Break Point
1. Send an exploration team to explore the Temple (Being Resolved on Discord)
2. Bar any from entering the Temple and make it forbidden
3. Leave the temple for now. (There are other things of greater importance to deal with)

1. The Tendua Tribe will investigate/familiarize themselves with the fauna of Patala.

There were many different and unique fauna of Patala. Some were basic, such as The Bonjo, the Chimapanzee, The Elephant, Gaur. But there were also others that they would have thought long since extinct. Large and Great Lizards roam these lands in addition to the normal animals. Dinosaurs of old, living in this Forgotten and Hidden Land of the Lost. There seem to be Raptors and Brachiosaurs as well as a single solitary t-rex.

They are quickly able to domesticate the Bonjo and the Gaur, insuring that they can have both a steady supply of meat and animals to be used in manual labor. GAIN COMMODITY: MEAT

2. The Tendua Tribe will investigate/familiarize themselves with the flora of Patala.

There is a wide variety of flora. Some are able to be crafted into salves or tonics to aid in good health. ALL TENDUA TRIBESMEN GAIN A BONUS AGAINST DEATH SAVES AS WELL AS DISEASE

The Flesh Prophets
1687484670777.png
Actions
1. Send shapeshifted humans into Oakdale to evaluate its military capabilities, and how much biomass there is.

Oakdale as it turns out, is in fact an extremely large city, especially by the standards of the time. Who would have thought that this many people would live in one place. It seemed in fact to have a heavily regimented system for living. Everyone had their lot in life and lived according to that very lot. There were those who were the laborers, those who were the blacksmiths, those who were the soldiers and those who were the nobles.

It was difficult to gauge exactly how large the military was, but it was more than the Flesh Prophets would be able to handle in a straight up fight. But that was not to their strengths. At least not yet. If they could manage to acquire this town and all the FLESH that resided within it, that would allow them to grow and grow.

But they would need a solid plan of attack. As the biomass there was large.

2. Begin butchering local wildlife for more MOVING PARTS.

It wasn't hard to find wildlife and it was even less hard to butcher said wildlife to replenish their ranks of moving parts. Unfortunately for all that they managed to rend and tear, they only gained 29 MOVING PARTS from it all.

Breakpoint:
Resolved in DMs, gained hero

Flesh Champion- McRoy
Martial 1 Magic 2
The Flesh is Strong- Subtract 1 from an Enemy Martial if they attack this unit

The Scorched land continues to crack and flow from new eruptions. Land begins to pile up more and more. It feels as though one day, these volcanoes might cease their violent explosions and cool down. But these are not yet the days.

For now, they are used to churn out such high quality equipment that the Goliaths can use for fighting enemies. When they find enemies, that is.

As if to answer the call, an enormous Stone Golem emerged from one of the volcanoes, itself covered still in glowing magma. What will be done about this?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Talk to the Stone Golem
  2. Fight the Stone Golem
  3. Ignore the Stone Golem

The Followers have over the course of time, now interacted with both the Goliaths to the South and the Dwarves to the East. They have even offered to give up that which they believe to be the way to rise up their Goddess to the Dwarves because of the Dwarves religion which relies upon the Moon Stones.

But, another possible path has been presented to the Goddess. A traveling cloaked figure tells of a Glowing Moon Pool in a cavern on the opposite side of Mt Itza that could increase the Goddess’s powers.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Take the Cloaked figure at their word and check out the Glowing Moon Pool
  2. Lock the Figure up in the dungeon and torture them for more information
  3. Ignore the Words of the Cloaked figure. (They are clearly lying for favor with the Goddess)

The plan improved with magic worked perfectly. The Copper was mined faster than ever and it did not diminish their defense force. Now that, along with their powerful wall, they could be stronger than ever.

With a Moon Stone calling to them from the North, it certainly seems as though an alliance with the Amazons would bear fruit. Especially if they could bring back the fallen stone to improve themselves and their people.

Word of a great wall had attracted many nearby humans to come to watch it. In a short time, a shanty town of tents and ramshackle mud and wooden structures were erected near parts of the wall, outside the settlement.

Current Copper: 60 Units

BREAK POINT:
  1. Send the humans away (Either with words or violence)
  2. Convince the Humans to worship the moon
  3. Teach the Humans their written language to have them become workers for the cause in exchange for protection

The woods were more eventful than ever before. With the additional of Errt, the younger creatures always managed to get rides to and through the forest to places faster than they ever had been before.

But, the forest has not been as open to all outsiders, as the Dwarves were mostly brushed by in their dealings. The worst of it came in response to Errt.

“The Hurty People” began to be seen searching through the forest. They must be looking for Errt. But would they find him? Would they find the rest of them? Should something be done?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Ignore the Hurty People
  2. Intercept the Hurty People and Talk to them
  3. Ambush the Hurty People

With their new home secure and an alliance or at least trade deal with the Giants to the North, things seemed to be going well for the Penitent. The desert, however, was a truly dangerous place. And in that regard, a large horde of roaming undead has been seen nearby.

At first, it had seemed as though it would turn around, back deeper into the desert as they have when seen in the past, but something was different this time? Were they drawn to the Church? Or was that just their imagination?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Ignore the Undead Horde (Perhaps they will turn away from the Church)
  2. Lay an ambush for the Undead Horde
  3. Sacrifice the Giant Workers to give a HUGE advantage to fighting the Undead Horde

Blackrock Troop

The monkies have their written language, now being used by the Northern Stone Elves. With Mighty Jo Young as their champion and their continual growth of technology, the Blackrock Troop is beginning to position themselves as a leader in Astorian History.

An opportunity has fallen into their laps. A veritable horde of abandoned human children were found living in a small community in The Wastes. What would they do with them?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Talk them into joining with the Blackrock Troop
  2. Fight them and claim the survivors as slaves to the Troop
  3. Set up Trade with the Child Community

The Bandits home continued to grow and grow, eclipsing the small encampment that the Giants had found mere decades ago. With the help of the Giants and the large supply of trees provided, they carved out not only space for their homes, but also farmland and a logging camp.

It seemed as though their goal was to continue to grow and expand, with or without the approval of the Giants. Would the Giants allow this growth to continue? Or would they put a stop to it, once and for all?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Ignore the Bandits
  2. Tax the Bandits (Get more cool items) in exchange for the continued logging
  3. Fight the Bandits (This has gone on long enough)

The Stone Elves on the Northeastern coast had gained control of the Tower of Dreams and in doing so, managed to learn something about themselves and wanted to help others learn things about themselves too.

It certainly seemed like an interesting structure and one that proved amenable to their situation. Near the tower, strange crystalline creatures of a humanoid nature were seen huddling for cover.

They were made up of blue crystals that glowed and gave off a high pitched singing sound as soon as someone came near.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Talk with the Crystalline Creatures
  2. Ignore the Crystalline Creatures
  3. Destroy the Crystalline Creatures

The Tower was now theirs. Not only was it their new home, but a fine place for teaching and learning as well. Magical elves would soon flock to the Eternal Cause sooner rather than later once they saw what was to offer.

In fact, soon enough a horde of Lizard Men who were walking on water arrived, seeking an audience with the Leader of the Eternals. It was quite clear that they were capable of casting magic, but what kind, that was the mystery.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Send them away as they aren’t elves
  2. Talk with them as they might have good magic
  3. Pretend to invite them for talks and the kill them to use for magical regents

The Valora Pod

The Valora Pod as already had a peaceful interaction with the Shipwrecked humans. In time, they could grow and flourish on the more southern of the islands. But as it stands, the island they are on seems to be suffering from some sort of coconut disease that is killing one of their staple crops that they need.

There are a few options that could help them out of danger.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Search one of the other nearby islands for an alternative food source to bring to the Islanders
  2. Resettle the Islanders on one of the larger islands in the island chain
  3. Use Magic to cure the mystery coconut plague

With the golem destroyed and one of their own empowered by its very life essence, it was soon time to turn to the large human settlement to the West. It was large and heavily defended, at least by the standard issues of the time. And could take careful planning to manage something like that.

But in the meantime, One of the Flesh Guardians managed to track a large beast to its lair, a deep and dark cave. Perhaps its mass could be added to their own and help them assault Oakdale.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Ignore the Flesh Guardian
  2. Track the Creature within its lair
  3. Lure the Creature outside its lair

The special tree grew within the center of their village and with it, a beautiful dryad that was full of life, making sure that all who saw her had been filled with joy. It gave more splender to the village and the people in it.

A wondrous thing that made all their lives better than they had even been before.

However, word had traveled to the Aros tribe from a trader that there was a large group of bandits along the southern path on the road and they were attacking travelers and traders alike. He said that if they managed to get back his supplies, not only would they be able to keep the others items and such that was taken, but that he would give a reward as well.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Track down and fight the Bandits
  2. Ignore the Trader
  3. Track down and attempt to Talk with the Bandits

Word has reached even those of the Mystics that war has broken out between Reijkhold and Lakeside. Apparently it all began as a dispute over foresting rights and then it blew up when one of the mages of Lakeside had accidentally killed a Reijholdian sheep.

The fighting has gone on now for over a year and it isn’t known how likely it is to stop. Neither side seems interested in hearing out the other and only wants to be RIGHT.

Even though it has been a couple decades since you first started interacting with the humans of the logging camp from Reijhold, you might hold sway over th conflict.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Send a delegate to talk to the humans and attempt to Broker Peace
  2. Align your faction with either Reijhold or Lakeside in the conflict

The land and the Tribe continue to flourish under the banner of the Panther Demon. A member of the tribe comes across a vial which was said to aid in the magical growth of a single individual. It is mentioned in the tales of old that if one was to take it, they would get abilities beyond compare.

Could it be true? Or was it merely an old tale to tell at bedtime? Would it truly do what was said, or would it cause unnecessary harm to the drinker?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Drink the vial to see what it holds
  2. Have another member of the tribe drink the vial
  3. Do not take the vial (This is a falsity)

First contact had gone well with the Brothers of Odin. They were beginning to come out of their frozen shell and explore the world around them. Though they are creatures made of ice and snow, they are warm and kind.

As they continued their travels, they came across an unusual cave that they had not seen before on their journeys. After consulting the Glass Eye, it only listed that there was ENERGY within, but it did not give a DANGER message.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Investigate the Unusual Cave
  2. Leave the Cave Alone
  3. Block up the cave so no one will ever find it

The Brothers of Odin had taken down a massive troll and with it, gained sole control of the bridge that allows them to travel by foot to the mainland. Not only that, but they had constructed boats from which to raid settlements that were nearby and collect things of necessity for their warrior people.

However, apparently their legend in battle has already preceded them because now their outpost could see a large clan of ICE LIZARDMEN approaching the bridge.

Many of them, it seemed, wielded Heavy Stone Clubs and no armor but their own thick hides. However, at the very least, the one leading them was much bigger and stronger looking than the rest.

BREAK POINT:
  1. Fight the Lizardmen in Open Battle in front of the bridge
  2. Begin attacking the Lizardmen from the bridge first and let them charge
  3. Let them take the bridge and attack from the Homeland side

The Eternals
In the highest chambers of the tower, Mythanar Fensandoral, the Immortal High Elf King, stood resolute, his presence commanding. Once containing the sealed red crystal of immense power, the room now revealed an ethereal spectacle as the ceiling dissolved into the boundless expanse of the starry sky. His eyes shimmered with a moonlit hue, reflecting his profound connection to the celestial realm. Analyzing the celestial dance of stars, he sought to unravel the intricate tapestry of fate that lay before the elven race.

A sigh escaped Mythanar's lips, resounding within the chamber as he returned to his mortal state. The outcome of his cosmic readings proved inconclusive, neither a failure nor a resounding success. The fate of the elves remained shrouded in uncertainty, casting a fog over his visionary sight. Eternal glory or eternal damnation, the path ahead remained elusive.

Yet, amidst the uncertainty, one truth stood firm in Mythanar's mind—they must continue to evolve, to push beyond their current limitations in pursuit of their goals. His gaze shifted towards the northwest, as if his vision could pierce through obstacles and span thousands of miles. There, he sensed the irresistible call of destiny—a forge, demons, and ancient seals entwined. Demons had never garnered his favor, and given a choice, he would steer clear of their influence. However, the elves' power now stood as a mere fragment of its former glory. Growth was imperative, regardless of the cost, even if it meant tapping into the aid of demons. Yet, caution would be his guide, for the perils they presented could not be overlooked.

Some time later...

In a vacant expanse just outside the tower, Mythanar stood tall, his arms outstretched, and his voice carried on the wind as he called forth the ancient spirits of the world. "Oh, spirits of the realm, guardians of this land, hear the cry of your elven children. I, Mythanar Fensandoral, the High King of the Elves, beseech your presence. Reveal yourselves, for I summon a majestic winged mount to aid our noble cause."

As his words echoed through the air, the atmosphere stirred with a palpable energy. The air grew charged, and a flicker of anticipation sparked within Mythanar's eyes. He had long cultivated a connection with the ethereal forces that dwelled in the realm, harnessing their power for the greater good of his people. Now, with unwavering determination, he sought to secure a formidable ally.

Silence enveloped the area, as if nature itself held its breath in response to the High King's invocation. Moments stretched, as Mythanar's gaze scanned the horizon, seeking signs of a celestial manifestation. Then, from the distant reaches of the sky, a glimmer of radiant wings emerged, growing larger and more distinct with each passing moment.

A magnificent creature descended from above, its wings spanning wide in ethereal beauty. Its feathers shimmered with hues of gold and silver, reflecting the dappled light of the sun. With regal grace, the majestic mount landed before Mythanar, its eyes glowing with ancient wisdom.

"My noble steed," Mythanar whispered with reverence, his voice filled with gratitude. "Together, we shall traverse the realms, forging a path to restore the elven race to its former glory. With your strength and guidance, we shall conquer the challenges that lie ahead."

Mounted upon the awe-inspiring creature, Mythanar soared into the sky, the wind carrying the echoes of his declaration. The spirits of the world had answered his call, granting him a magnificent companion as they embarked on their grand journey to shape the destiny of the elven race.

As Mythanar ascended into the sky upon his celestial steed, he cast a glance back at the gathering of elven mages who had accompanied him. With a nod of assurance, he spoke with unwavering confidence, his voice carrying across the expanse. "Fear not, my fellow mages. I shall journey to the Plains of Plenty, where I shall establish a potent teleportation circle. Await the activation of the corresponding circle in Aeternus, for it is through this mystical link that we shall unite our forces. Once our preparations are complete, we shall venture forth together, delving into the depths of the Forge."

His words sparked renewed determination in the hearts of the mages. They understood the significance of their mission and the crucial role they would play in unlocking the Forge's secrets. With Mythanar's guidance and their combined magical prowess, they would bring about a new era for the elven race.

With a final glance at his compatriots, Mythanar urged his mount to soar higher into the heavens, leaving behind a trail of hope and purpose. The challenges ahead may be daunting, but together, united in purpose, they would navigate the path toward their shared destiny.

Order 1: The Verdant Star Palace: The Eternalis Arcana 2 of 3
A major plan to construct the core of Eternal City 'Aeternus' was initiated. The goal was to construct the Verdant Star Palace with the refurbished magical tower, recently renamed as "Eternalis Arcana" at its center. Foundations were already established on the tower for a place of magical learning and rituals (refer previous order), but Mythanar's ambition is grand. He wants it to be more! To be a Magical Wonder of this world. The human influence of the tower will be erased, converted to that befitting more of the elves. Where it was once a prison, it will turn into the greatest magical tower this realm has ever seen. It will be expanded and upgraded.

Mythanar personally participates in the construction of this tower, using his superior magic boosted with the Red Power Crystal he will attempt to unearth its full potential. Rituals will also be permanently engraved in the tower (Use a unit of shade dust). This tower will be a true symbol of eternity.

The lizardfolk will be drafted to help in the construction.

Note: The Verdant Star Palace will be a multi-stage construction involving different parts or buildings of the Star Palace. I plan the Eternalis Arcana (magic tower) to be a 3-stage construction with this one being the second and the previous order being the first.

Order 2: Explore the Black Archipelago
Relevant Descriptor: Seeker
Relevant Item: Magic Glass

The Black Archipelago will be explored carefully. Unlike humans and those lowborn incapable of magic, the elves explore the lands uniquely. Not only do they attempt to look for resources but they will carefully look for sources of arcane power in the archipelago, the leylines of magic, and if possible, magical crystals, the condensation of arcane power and mana.

The lizardfolk would also be invited to view these leyline/loctions of power to see if it would be suitable for the dragon breeding grounds. Mythanar guesses that this will raise their favorability and possibly allow them access to their pure magic users as well as more units of their blood.

Note: Locating the leylines would be important for future construction projects as well.

Movement: Teleporation Circle in Aeternus and Plains of Plenty. Mythanar with his mount moves to the Plains of Plenty. (Two units of reagents consumed)

Time seemed to be crawling by to the young goddess and yet she could not deny it’s passaging. Her warriors constructed for her a temple of such beauty that the jungle was now more picturesque. Her neighbors, The Moonsworn and The Goliaths had found their way to her doorstep and in acts of good faith and friendship, struck their own respective bargains with her. And while her people seemed to thrive from their success and their new partnerships, she could only see the wrinkling of their beautiful faces, the fading of their hairs. Her warriors, her women, were aging. It pained her to acknowledge their finite lifespans and imagine a day when she would not she their faces or have their love. It was a heavy thought that weighed in her mind constantly.

But she had distractions. As promised to the Goliaths, Tikal and the Amazons were to host a competition. It had taken time, cooperation, and many years of logistical planning, but the women of the jungle had nearly finished the construction of a stadium, the Itzan Arena. Once completed they would be able to put their warriors against one another in friendly competition. Tikal was just as ecstatic as the rest of the jungle for this would be the first time she watched her warriors in action. Not only was it a chance to see them fight, but it was a chance to observe the other peoples she planned to protect.

Aside from preparing for the great games, the Amazons also tended to their infrastructure and had been working on a hunting lodge. General Sade wanted to systemically improve their food income without disrupting the wildlife too much. A hunting lodge would hopefully permit a select few to become more connected with the jungle and ensure that no species was hunted to extinction within their lands. This would also allow them to prep the meat for transport to Moonhold and Skypiercer. It still required more time before the local wildlife would be numerous enough to hunt and feed so many though.

Her relationship with her neighbors was important as the more people who worshipped and/or prayed to her, the closer she got to ascending. And then they would all thrive. So while time was kicking in and sadness hungover the Goddess, she was not without her fair share of distractions.

Actions:
  1. Construct Hunting Lodge
  2. Host The Ogun Games (Invite Goliaths and Moonsworn)
Breakpoint:
Check out the glowing pool.

Orpheus - Turn 2 - The Penitent

When the sun and the moon share the same sky, darkness will sweep the land and there will be no discrimination between man or beast. All will fight for their eternal salvation against that which lurks in the void.
Orpheus

The arrival of the Giants was a welcome sight for the people of The Penitent. While they were mostly as intelligent as young children, they also shared their innocence and willingness to explore and learn. The much smaller worshippers of The Divine greeted them with open arms and even threw a small festival in their honour. It was a pleasant affair albeit free from surprises or shock…a far cry from what Orpheus and his expedition experienced.

There was a loud crack and a thunderous boom, the clouds in the sky parted as an object fell from the heavens themselves. It glowed bright, even against the rays of the scorching sun in Greenskin Pass it stood out. It flew overhead low where work had begun on the Salt Outpost and crashed not too far away. The giants stopped to stare while The Penitent workers took time to pray, some going as far as to bow to the object.

"It is a gift from The Divine!"

"The Heavens send up a prize for our devotion!"

Calls erupted all over the camp and all praised the object as something for The Penitent, a reward or a gift from The Divine. Orpheus watched the object until it crashed and without so much as a word he began to walk towards it. His fanatics and holy clerics accompanied him while the workers continued to build the Salt Outpost.

Whatever it was, Orpheus wanted it and he was determined to make it his.

Actions Break Point: Lay an ambush for the undead horde.

Movement: Holy Clerics return with Orpheus to Caerleon while Zerrod moves to Salt Outpost.
1. Build a walled Salt Outpost using Giant workers (bonus to speed, development and high chance of additional ability or unit gain).
2. Collect fallen star and return to Caerleon for study in the school.

Leadership Gains Population: +7
Fanatics: +8
Zealot Champion: +1

As if to answer the call, an enormous Stone Golem emerged from one of the volcanoes, itself covered still in glowing magma. What will be done about this?

BREAK POINT:
  1. Talk to the Stone Golem
  2. Fight the Stone Golem
  3. Ignore the Stone Golem

The Goliaths of The Stormwrath Peaks

Breakpoint Select: 1
The Goliaths are abuzz with energy, as warriors prepare for a saga that had been in the making for a generation. The Flamespitter, the great Beast, Alexandros would lead the tribe's mighty warriors against it within its lair. To wrest forth a tooth, and earn from the Wizard the secrets of a lost age. They had all been waiting for this moment...! And then the earth shakes and the mountains shudder, and forth emerges a giant golem!!! There's some discussion of whether to go face it in battle, but Alexandros instead to go converse with the great lumbering thing. After all, perhaps it would join them in their great adventure against the flame-spitting serpent?

If not, then he may yet find another friend in these lands. The Goliaths found themselves rather alone, save for the Kobolds still obsessed with finding a worthy Dragon to serve. And after visiting the tower, he knew well the wonders that could be found by speaking to those of ancient form. Though whether or not the Stone Golem had been buried in these mountains only to emerge through an eruption, or whether it was born anew from the volcanic fury of these mountains, who could truly say? Alexandros would certainly hope he could find out, and hear what stories the stone itself had to tell!

Action 1: The Art of Gold
The Tribe will build a Mine over the gold seam to extract its resources, before using the Blacksmith to refine this strange metal into goods with which to adorn their warriors. Its weight would lend their weapons greater striking power, but more importantly, the adornment of gold would be a sign of a warrior's strength and prowess; the greater the feat, the finer and heavier the golden jewelry that would be granted to a warrior to commemorate the occasion. Thus, martial excellence would be further encouraged among the Goliaths, as ambitious young warriors seek to obtain the accolades symbolized in physical form by golden ornaments and weapons of gold and stone combined.

Action 2: Flamespitter's Fury
The Wizard had asked them to obtain the tooth, and so, off Alexandros and his warriors would go! They would wield their new gold weapons and prepare great stone harpoons, but Alexandros knew that they might wish to bargain for the tooth and befriend the creature.... if it could be bargained with. If not, then it would be a great hunt, the likes of which had never before been seen!

The Fire Within[Post Theme] - [Turn 2]

Deep within the Astral Forest, away from the Study. Ivan stumbled alone in the snow, in the howling wind. His fur whistling. A tinge of grey and loss of color shows his progression from youth in this body. But, despite that, Ivan's posture held youthful strength even as he could barely keep his balance. Snow grabbed onto his arms, caking them in their frozen embrace. Ivan closed his eyes and gave a soft sigh. A rush of warmth and the snow evaporated. His fur brightened in response and the ground around him sighed in relief to its respite from its snowy prison. Ivan, clad in nothing, approached a pyramid of pebbles and stones. His stride formed like a trance. Uniform and sleepy. His eyes glazed over, and his mouth giving a soft drool. Five steps away, he exfoliated flame from his finger tips. Arms limp and dangling from his shoulders. Dripping like blood, it melted the snow and filled into crevices in the ground. Carved with Raccoon claws. The astral energy rushed through the crevices, forming a large network of circles along the ground. Encompassing a thirty foot radius. The pyramid marked the center. Ivan's periwinkle eyes flared and the crackle in his eyes escaped the prison of his irises. Twin fires burning in his soul. One of his own, one from another. One of the Aether, an Aeon. One of Sufuragas, a Zorac. Ivan's side is clear. Aeon, of stars, of still, of order. Eric's... Zorac, of Earth, of passion, of chaos. A perfect balance between two lovers. Yet, nothing is black and white. They each have portions of the other side. The Astral Sea, full of color, a myriad of colors. Some beyond the sight of most sentient species.

As the circle completes, Ivan crashes to the ground. A thud to mark the end of his crash, a climax in the endless murmuring of the wind. A trickle of blood leaves his mouth and he laid almost lifeless in the center. His hands outstretched. His chest rises and falls once, then nothing more.

Fire erupts from the circles, engulfing the surrounding woods. Ivan's fur burning away leaving human skin. His snout retracted into a familiar nose. Hair forming over his scalp. Ivan became human once more. The first flesh, the first life, the first voice; a purity in the first, a sense of truth to its visage. But, all was not lost for his current self. A faint after image could still be seen. Minutes pass as auroras pass over Ivan. His chest still, his body cold. Then as the auroras faded, drifting into Ivan's body, he gave one exasperated breath. Blood dripped again on the dried path. The fires receded, leaving the forest unharmed. Warmth returned to his body, coughs and moans as he tossed to his left side.

From sliver grey to periwinkle, light gushed from Ivan's eyes. He lived once more. Was he truly dead? Depends on who you ask. But to the Mystics, there is an inbetween stage. Some call it Bardo, others call it pugatory. To the Mystics, it is called Uren. Some cultures say it is a place, others a state of being. For the Mystics, it is all. In Ivan's case, it would be hard to say from the outside. What he would experience in this moment. Remembering it would be a different idea altogether.

Yet, the disturbance from his brief departure of life would be felt by his other to the south. A surge of rage would likely come accompanied by unbearable grief. Hours would pass before relief would come as Ivan returns to life. Though, how this sudden event would pan out wouldn't be knowable from Ivan's end.
    Starbright[Section Theme]
My chest... so heavy. All my strength to breathe. Hard earth, falling snow... the dead of night. My fur was gone. A human hand, just as the one I saw those years ago. My arms, my chest. Human again. My head... I could barely move. So tired. My body felt as mud, as mushed fruit. Where was I? Was I still in the Astral Forest? Saigon? Maji? No one. Alone. Wind, falling snow, and faint cries of owls; death was eerily on the table... And I could feel nothing. My body could feel the ease of the cold stone, the brushes of the wind, the rush of air as I breathe... My body felt fine. My heart, my mind. Alone in the middle of the woods, having blood drip out of my mouth for some reason. And I felt no fear, no anxiety, no care at all. My emotions should be flowing as a tide as Colekas said. Flowing through various states, a Mystic should always channel the tides and become the masters of their own waters. I am a desert. No water at all. I just feel nothing. And I know that the Astral Sea isn't to blame. This isn't the first time. Every day, I feel nothing. As a body moving long after my spirit has moved on. Dead on the inside. From life to life it follows me. But, those years ago, when I killed that dear, I felt something. Love, longing, and excitement; waters flowing and moving. How did I not get overwhelmed by them? My emotions?

'The deepest permafrost melts slowly and you will hardly notice the change.', Colekas tells me that every day. And right he is. I guess I just didn't notice feeling again. I'm so cold, so far gone that I easily miss how it affected me. And the lies to myself. The fake laughing. So much its toxic. Even to myself... This is what it means to be dead inside. Have I faked other emotions? Probably. I guess after so many lives, some things follow you even if you don't remember. I must be good at it. Colekas seems to be the only one to notice. And I doubt any outsider would notice either. It does let me understand the feelings of others better. In silence, sound and clarity are one. But, it isn't healthy. What tolls have been taken on me from this? How much longer can I go on like this? Living in a sea of grey. Sinking deeper into nothingness, into the Void. Closer to the Godeater for which the Astral Sea abides. Was it seeking me? To reach around the Astral Sea and do as it does? Consume the divine? Not that any know why. The Void and its transcendence would imply it would be above such things. But, it wields a deadly hunger and desire to assimilate. So strong that it corrupts divine to serve its mysterious ends. Colekas mentioned that one such Divine lingers in this world. One that has been corrupted or one that has become idiotically useful. But he also spoke of a rival to the Void. Something else that has similar goals. I would say I am curious about how it will respond. But, I would be lying if I actually felt that way.

But, suddenly. He came back into my mind, like the sun after an eclipse. My mind couldn't stop thinking of him. Why is it when I feel the emptiest inside. I think of him the most? Every moment, every breath. I just can't stop. That man in my past life, the one I loved so much. That I still do. Why can't I remember him? His name, his face, the greatest mystery. The answer I want more than anything. The meaning of life? Origins of existence? Don't give a damn. I want to know who he is. He's my existence, my meaning. A want that hurts more than the body ever could. In years past, I could have waited, but the anticipation, the need, the tender feelings tell me to wait no longer. I have to go. I need to know. I need to be in his big, muscular arms again. To be home again. Feel his chest along my back, his heart beating. His hair in my hands. And as I lay here tired beyond belief, I realize that I love him. I really do. I can feel it. Water rushing into my heart, my soul. Love, longing, hurt, sweetness, belonging; a torrent of others followed in the wake. A desert now a powerful ocean full of life.

Ocean waves glide over the snow and wrap around my skin. And my tired body relaxed. Energy flooded in and the tiredness faded away. His breath on my neck, gentle kisses through my hair. I stood, fresh as if I slept for a thousand years. And I felt his arms around my shoulders. His bare skin against mine. After images of scattered memories, I'll piece together more eventually. I am sure. But, ocean waves? Likely just the Astral Sea. What if it was more?

The circles and the pile of stones remind me. I'm north of the Study. By the mountainside. I'm not far from the coast. I ran like my life depended on it. Through the trees and the clearings, I had a beat in my chest. Astral wisps fluttered around me. Following me. I reached the coast, dipping my feet into the waves. And I felt compelled to look up into the stars.

"I'm not letting this moment slipaway, when I finally understand what means everything to me. Who means everything. It took me decades to finally understand. And I'm sorry it took so long. And since I don't know your name, can I call you Starbright? At least for now?" My chest felt heavy, sweating. I'm... nervous. Not like he'll be able to hear me. It feels so strange, yet so exhilarating. "All I know is you are the light that shines down on me. And I need you by my side. There are things out there, beyond the worlds that are terrible. I think one wants to use me as a body. Take my ever numbing heart and consume me. You... You bring me back to life. Make me feel again. And I know we've wondered through many lives apart. But, I know you're here. Somewhere. Now that we're not worlds apart, I can finally be in your arms. Because I am yours, forever."

I paused as my lungs hurt... screamed at me. I coughed and looked out to the horizon, "Save me from myself... I love you."

    Eliasdagood Eliasdagood
    The Oracle of Miriam
"May these words bring you peace. Ivan." A spirit drifted between the waves before me. A deer floating on ethereal wings. Of starlight. She was beautiful.

"Thank you, Oracle. Do you know why I am here?"

"It is about him. About the man you saw when saw your first death. I have seen him."

I sputtered, fell into the waves before I dried my skin, "What?! Please tell me."

She flapped her wings softly, "Look for someone who has multiple bodies yet uses no Astral gift. One who leaves final impressions. One that is mired by death. That will lead you to him."

That was vague, yet also useful too. Something I'd have to ponder. And it tell me something about him.

"Thank you Oracle, for coming on such short notice."

"There is a lot on your mind. If I have anything else for you Ivan, you will feel my presence."

The Moonsworn
Turn 02
Phase: Waxing Moon

waxing-crescent-moon.jpg

Humans gathering outside the walls of Moonhold was troubling for the Dawi Izgil. The priesthood was split and debating on what to do about them. There were calls for conversion if they were to be dwelling there. There were calls to drive them away as a blight upon their growing holy city. Yet others had proposed to show kindness and uplift these desperate people, that showing them the knowledge and power of their faith might be the greatest of options for the Moon was ever-shifting. Should not the faithful shift as well and expand beyond Dawi? Three figures stood upon the wall and looked down at that human shanty town. King Izgil stroked his stone beard as Lunar Izmir and Lunar Izwot stood at either side of their great king they had both helped to carve from the skystone that had shattered Dawidrugan.

"Look at them down there. Bunch of loons coming here to gawk at our wall like that," Izwot grumbled as he looks down at the humans with annoyance. He'd been in a foul mood for years since the efforts to forge ties with the strange critters of the Quiet Wood. The Moonsworn had pointedly left the region alone to avoid confrontation and didn't bother to approach it since their extended hand of friendship was rebuffed. His bald head had garnered more tattoos of intricate design as a sign of his devotion.

"They're curious is all. We should find work for them, teach them and show them the ways. I know some of the Lesser Lunars want to drive them off, but can we afford to spurn our mission on behalf of mighty Geminos?" Izmir asked as he strokes his long beard, having added even more copper rings to it.

"You mean waste our food on them?" Izwot scoffed a little and glowers some. "Then again maybe they'd at least listen."

"You see my point, brother. The faith cannot simply wallow in Dawi minds. These humans are a new facet, a new opportunity. Just as we forged bonds with the Amazons and their Lady Tikal. These people could embrace Geminos as well and swell our numbers. Moonhold could become even more grandiose.," Izmir said as he looks on at the mass of people below.

"We shall take them in and teach them," King Izgil said in his deep and resonant voice, his gaze upon the humans as he listened to the two high priests of his faith. "We shall build a Great Warren of homes for them and all others who come to seek the faith and comforts of our knowledge. Even if their words are hollow, their children will see our kindness and faith. Their children will turn if they do not. And if not them, their children's children."

"As you say, my lord," Izmir and Izwot declare and bow their heads at the declaration of their great king.

"The Skystone calls to the North. I will lead forces there to recover it either in peace or through power. Send a fighter as well to the games of Lady Tikal. It would do good to show our hand in such things if only to show we do no forget them or our pledges," King Izgil ordered and strokes his stone beard to the sound of grinding sone. "The moon waxes in power. I shall use that power to aid our claiming of the Skystone. We shall rely upon the Stone Servitors to protect Moonhold for now as the Priesthood can control them and they can deal with any trouble from our new human population. I have spoken."

The Skystone golem thudded away, his orders given. The Moonsworn would march their force in search of this prized Skystone. All the while they would grow Moonhold for these humans and prepare it for future pilgrims as well. The Great Warrens would be built.

King Izgil will provide his empowered casting of Evocation and Transmutation to support his forces.
(King Izgil, 20 War Priests, 3 Copper Golems, 6 Dwarven Crossbowmen)

-Build the Great Warrens to house the new human population, Dawi Izgil and future pilgrims in well made stone homes and quarters.
(40 Stone Servitors and Humans)

BROTHERS TURN 2

Breakpoint Selected: 2

After seeing the clan approaching the bridge, the recently reinforced outpost (10 holy soldiers and 20 Rabble Rousers commanded by Bjorn's brother Harald Sigurdson (he counts as 1 mighty commander name is just for fluff)) begin to mobilise to meet the clan on the bridge. 1 Rabble Rouser is sent back to Stackhaglo to warn Bjorn and request reinforcements.

Bjorn, after hearing of the approaching clan, mobilises a large force of 8 mighty Commanders, 5 heavy soldiers, 40 Rabble Rousers, 15 holy soldiers and of course Bjorn himself.

As the lizard people approach the bridge, Harald stands in front of his men and gives this speech.

"Hear me, brave warriors of the North! Today, we stand united on the precipice of battle, as the winds of fate blow in our favor. Our ancestors would be proud to witness the valor that runs through our veins. Today, we face a formidable adversary, a clan of lizard people who seek to claim our lands and trample upon our sacred traditions. But I say unto you, let them taste the fury of our weapons and the indomitable spirit that resides within each and every one of us!

For generations, our people have defended these lands with blood, sweat, and tears. We have weathered storms and fought countless battles, forging a legacy that echoes through time. We are the sons of the North, the chosen few who embrace the harshness of our surroundings and thrive in its unforgiving embrace. This bridge, this hallowed ground beneath our feet, represents not just a physical passage but a symbol of our resilience, our unwavering determination, and our unyielding spirit.

Look around you, my brothers, and see the faces of your fellow warriors. They are not mere companions in arms but kin, bound together by the sacred bonds of brotherhood. Today, we fight not only for ourselves but for each other, for the generations that will follow in our footsteps. Our children, our grandchildren, and their descendants will sing songs of our bravery and recount the tales of our triumph. Let us not disappoint them!

The lizard people, with their scaly hides and cunning ways, believe they can overpower us. They underestimate our might, our cunning, and our battle-hardened souls. But we shall prove them wrong! As the sun rises above the horizon, let it illuminate our path to victory. Our axes shall gleam with the fire of our spirits, and our shields shall stand as an impenetrable wall against their onslaught. We shall march forward, resolute and undeterred, knowing that the gods themselves look down upon us with favor.

Fear not, my warriors, for fear is a burden that does not befit a Viking's heart. The spirits of our ancestors watch over us, guiding our hands and lending us their strength. Draw your weapons and hold them high, for today we claim our destiny! Let the clash of steel and the battle cries resound across these lands, a symphony of our indomitable spirit. Each drop of blood spilled upon this bridge shall be a testament to our defiance, our unyielding determination, and our unwavering loyalty to our kin.

Remember, my brethren, that victory is not measured solely by the lives we claim or the spoils we gather. It is measured by the spirit with which we fight, the honor with which we face our foes, and the unwavering bonds that unite us. Should we fall, let it be known that we fell as one, united in purpose and unyielding in our pursuit of glory.

Now, my warriors, let your battle cries pierce the sky! Let the enemy tremble in the face of our might! For today, we shall defend this bridge with every ounce of strength we possess. We fight not only for ourselves but for the honor of our ancestors and the future of our people. My brothers, stand tall and fight with all your might! Victory awaits us, and together, we shall claim it!"

Action 1:

The expansion of the navy.

After the success of the initial building of a navy, Bjorn has ordered for 6 more rafts to be constructed and has sent the smartest of his people to the area in order to see if they can find a way to improve the rafts and optimise them for raiding purposes. He has also ordered for them to make it so that they can use the ships for civilian purposes (i.e. fishing, trade).

Action 2:

Training of the military.

(This will happen after the battle)

After an inspection of his troops, Bjorn realises that a large portion of his army consists of largely untrained and underequiped (compared to the rest of the army) and has decided that it is time to change that. He decides to take 20 of his Rabble Rousers 2 mighty Commanders and four Holy Soldiers, (split into 2 groups) and orders the Commanders and holy soldiers to train the Rabble into a better, more organised fighting force. He decides to change the equipment status later on.

Valora
"Eric needs help! Orca! Orca!" Comes the shrill, desperate cry of Natalie from the shore. The word itself doesn't mean what it once did after generations in these warm waters. But what it means for the pod remains. Anyone not ready to fight for their lives rushes for the shore as soon as they hear it. No hesitation, no questions, just get the fuck out.

She does a quick head count, nods, and looks back to where four Sharkfolk are holding down Eric, who is stuck halfway through a transformation. They're using coconut shells to get water over his gills, as his lungs are entirely devoted to screaming. He's already wounded two of them, some of the Selkie wrapping kelp and coconut fibers over the vicious, flesh shredding bites.

"Okay throw him in the water! Everyone's clear! He'll come back ashore once his mind's back." The others nod, and pick up the snarling, Furious Eric, throwing him into the sea. He finishes his transformation in an instant, swimming off to find something, anything.

It's happening again. I've lost him.

I HAVE LOST NOTHING! HE WAS STOLEN!

Who even is he? Why does this happen to me? What did I do to deserve this? What did either of us do?!

IT HURTS! WHY DOES THE WORLD TORTURE ME LIKE THIS! HE'S GONE, LET ME GO! LET ME GO TO HIM, PLEASE!

What if he's not? What if he's out there somewhere? I don't want him to be suffering like this too... I love him. He deserves better.

I don't know where I would find him, though... unless he's here? I was always the blind one, but he would recognize me at least... right?

Would he even want me? It was my fault. If I had been better

NO! THEY DID THIS! THEY STOLE HIM FROM ME! THEY CUT OUT MY HEART! THEY MADE ME A MONSTER!

Am I a monster?

It's nearly two days before Eric returns to the land, exhausted, and passes out on the beach. Kendrick, his father for this life, is the one to pick him up and carry him home, starting on some fish stew for the poor boy. No one knows why this is happening. It just... does, every so often. But this was one of the worst of these episodes any of them have seen. He sighs, looking down at his bandaged arm. The others were just him trying to get away. This attack... it felt very personal. He shakes his head. This can't go on. Hes heard of some spiritual soul speaking types up north. He's going to ask Natalie if they can use one of the rafts. He doesn't trust Eric in the water.

Actions:
Use Magic to cure the mystery coconut plague

Send Eric Kendrick, 5 Druids, 10 Sharkfolk, and 10 warriors up north to the Bog with the raft for Eric/injured members/sleeping members as needed.

Attempt to figure out fish farming with assistance from the druids.

Offer to exchange skills with the human residents.

The Nowhere Herd
Turn 2

frozen-winter-forest-pine-trees-december-dreamy-atmospheric-landscape-frozen-scenery-high-quality-photo_370312-854.jpg

It is quiet in the tunnel save for the periodic scratching of the Bone Carver making another etching, another line in the tale. He works by the globules of light sent floating in the cramped space by Maya’s hands. It is just the two of them in this tunnel, left by a juvenile Ice Worm traveling with its pack. Maya had asked for privacy for her confession.

Partway through the last migration the Bone Carver fell and had not risen again, and, as is tradition, the young member of the herd he had been tutoring had risen to take his place. Yet, with his passing, Maya felt a sudden pressure on her consciousness. It was a sacred duty of the Path Finder to ensure that the Bone Carver had access to all tales, so that they may decide which to record for future generations. This was a duty that Maya had fulfilled in all circumstances but one. She had never told him the truth of her encounter with the creature that called its puppet Droga.

Despite, or maybe because of, the Herd’s perpetual state of travel, an extended conversation far away from prying, judging ears could be difficult to maintain for long. Especially, for the length of time that bone carving required. It was why when it was discovered that the juvenile ice worms had shed, and grown wide enough that a herd member could lay in their tunnels, she assigned a tunnel for herself and the young Bone Carver. She knew her mate, the Snow Master, laid somewhere above, keeping watch should anything begin rooting about the entryways to the tunnels the Herd had dug. It was just as well, if anyone else were to know of her mistakes, she would want it to be him. He must have guessed a fair portion of it by now anyways.

The Bone Carver pauses, his pointed ear twitching for a moment, a habit he takes, she’s noticed, when he is waiting on the next piece of the tale. Slowly, in a low, quiet voice, she tells him of the deal she made with that creature of shadow. Secretly, she prays that her duty as the Path Finder will see her fall before the creature comes to collect his favor, but she knows it is cowardice to think such thoughts. And there is no guarantee the creature will not attempt to find the Herd, whether or not she still lives. Yes, she would rather he come and be seen by someone who can see what he truly is.

At last, the tale is concluded. The young Bone Carver, for his part, does not voice his judgment for Maya’s foolishness. The deal was, after all, made many, many migrations ago. From within her belongings Maya extracts the skull she had bargained for so long ago. Even as the spell fades and the two creatures that lead the Herd are plunged into comforting darkness, she can still feel the gaze of its empty eye sockets. It can be so terribly quiet in the tunnels.

Movement:
The Herd travels to FROSTHOLM.

Actions:
1)
Maya, 1 Snow Master, 5 People, and 2 Mammoths trudge to Reijkhold to speak with the locals and trade their wares. She casts a spell of Tounges once again upon herself to communicate with the locals.
2) The Herd hunts in these bountiful lands, hoping to restore their supplies of meat, for trading, and bone, for consumption.

Diplomacy:
While following the hunting herds, Maya meets THE MYSTICS OF THE CALM, perhaps they will speak and trade their wares? She, as always casts a spell of Tounges upon herself to speak with these new people.

BREAKPOINT:
Option 1:
Investigate the unusual cave.

The Quiet Grove
dethglitch_humanoid_squirrel_nervious_drinking_tree_sap_8dde39fd-3547-4b5a-97f5-e0282def8f82.png
Mertyn stepped up to the tree. He had grown up idolising Oswald and so when Oswald appeared at his home and told him that the Kwerkus had picked him to join him and take the oath, well.. he was beyond honour and excited. Unlike Oswald, the worries of prolonged life and the added toll of loss didn't seem to register for him. He just saw an opportunity to be someone. To make a difference. To be seen. Seen unlike anyone else. To be a hero. Growing up it was lucky if people even acknowledged him to not bump into him on the street. Mertyn had never stood out, until now. As he sipped from sap of Kwerkus he was no longer little unknown tiny Mertyn, smallest quietest squirrel in the grove, he was Sir Mertyn, Oathtaker. Hero and protector of Kwerkus and the grove. He wasn't just somebody, he was an Oathtaker. He was one of only two. He was somebody very special indeed. He felt all that and so much more as the magical sap ran through his system imbuing him with the powers of an Oathtaker.
dethglitch_Redwall_group_parley_squirrel_talk_with_people_suspe_76033ac6-82a3-4181-8555-844ab1...png
Reports that the Dryads had returned to Oswald and the elders were quickly corroborated by Errt. Hurty men were here and they seemed to be looking for something. This was the result of the actions of a young and inexperienced Oswald. Should he have travelled forth to meet them back when Errt first joined their little home? Perhaps. Though he suspects that even with his new experience he would act much as he had back then. Swiftly he gathered a party to parley, though they would be ready to act if needed. This was his home and they had no right to advance in with such hostility, though he was sure the Dryads would be doing their level best to slow their approach he didn't want to risk them being discovered and hurt by the hurty men. Oswald just hoped that this wouldn't lead to fighting and other such horrific acts.
dethglitch_redwall_woodland_critters_building_a_festival_festiv_ef247ac1-a160-4770-8be7-980d11...png
Work was underway, a great festival ground was to be constructed to ensure that the yearly festivals would be able to get grander and grander year by year. Druidic elders were growing a tall narrow tree to act as a maypole and large open areas were slowly being cleared in such a manner as to disturb none of the natural undergrowth and paired with large constructions of markets, indoor party spaces and other great additions to ensure that not only would their yearly fetes be better then ever but also create a space that could be used for all sorts of occasions throughout the year and hopefully lead to more celebrations among the people of the grove.

Break Point: Take Option 2 - Talk with the Hurty Men (Sir Oswald and Errt)
Action 1: Send Sir Mertyn with some Ducks to scout out Ashurst and find out any threats or worries and generally gain information
Action 2: Construct a festival ground in the Quiet Grove to facilitate bigger and better festivals every year.

Population: 25
Champion(s):
Sir Oswald
Errt
Sir Mertyn

The Shifting Covenant
Turn 2

Breakpoint:
2. Ignore the Crystalline creatures.
"Do you want my humblest opinion?" Ekco asked to the stone elf who had rode back to deliver the news of their discovery near the tower. Obviously it had been noticed by attendants of the tower on their breaks or sneaking off to whatever lies deep inside their mind. She noticed him about to answer, reminding him that she didn't want his answer in reality. "I don't really care. If they're in the way, poke them out of it or just grab a rock and do the rest, we have more important matters to attend to".

Action 1: Start work on a place for the Beastmasters for them to train and breed the beasts at their disposal (Currently: Dino Horde, Mammoths, Pterosaurs), and to find new ways to utilise them. This will probably be expanded later. Using Wood, Stone. Giant Labor applies here.
Listening to the bickering circle of unaligned preferences, the mages and fanatics of slime love and the trainers and tamers of beasts argued with eachother meaninglessly over whose own quarter of the Shifting Covenant's territory should begin being built first. The gladiators would have likely tried to raise a word, but were too busy fighting eachother for the moment.

"Look, fine. I'll get to you all eventually. For now, we need examples of evolution and some fine creatures to do it. If you go northwest from High Crown, you'll find a nice area where the land meets the sea. It'll do you good to be by the water in case you figure out how to pet something in the ocean without losing a hand".

Action 2: Visit 'the Fort' with some forces. 3 Dark Mages, 6 Beast Masters, 12 Flying Cavalry, 24 Slime Drinkers, 38 Dino Horde, plus Champion OG.

"And what about them?" one of the slime drinkers had asked, arriving after getting out of whatever pointless scuffle with another of their own. Ekco raised an eyebrow as she waited for him to explain himself. "Those living in the little pen, up at the end of the world, you're gonna just let them be in the Split like that?".

Ekco sighed as she didn't think such a topic required an explanation. "We'll be going there, and having a civil discussion with the inhabitants. But lest not forget, we are the inheritors of this land, and while on our land they will abide by our rules. We WILL treat them nicely, but if they want to be an ass about something then we'll give them a firm reminder that we won't be leaving so simply".

Evolution of the Body: Dark Mage (5 Units) - 1d10+1 = 6
"I need to see those mages surprise me, at least for now. We'll see how willing of evolutionary subjects they turn out to be" - Ecko A'Thuun

---

Slime Alliance: Gain +1 Slime Champion a turn.
Tower of Dreams: +1 on Non-Combat rerolls.
Giant Labor (Glimmerhill Giants Trade Deal): Chance for additional abilities from built structures.
Mammoth Trade: Can train mammoths, but not when Glimmerhill Giants are doing so.

 Fluff
To be done.

The Eternals
1687987021208.png
Break Point: Resolved on Discord

Order 1: The Verdant Star Palace: The Eternalis Arcana 2 of 3

The Crowning achievement of his people, the Verdant Star Palace was to become as such. And for now, he certainly managed to transform the tower from what it was. Where before it seemd an unimpressive human design from Mages of the Old World, now it was a much more refined and elegant design of the new. The elven architecture, aided by Elven Magics and Lizardman muscles was efficiently and rather quickly constructed in almost half the time.

With Mythanar using his Red Crystal boosted magic, he managed to bring something more out of the tower. First, it seemed to become encased in a subtle Red Glow and any runes placed within its walls also carried the same red glow in them.

The energies emerging from the tower felt DARK and almost Forbidden. But they were intoxicating which brought in more types of elves and their magic as well. The tower brimmed with more power than ever before.

Can now train Dark Elf Mages

Gain 5 Dark Elf Mages
Wear Robes covered in dark lichen with Heavy Wooden Armor under them while wielding Heavy Wooden Scepters
CAN CAST DARK MAGIC

Order 2: Explore the Black Archipelago

Searching around the Black Archipelago, they manage to find a few things of interest:

A large flock of Yellow Sheep that had Red Fangs. They seemed to have a Shepard that looked more Scarecrow than man.

One of the Islands contained a series of Trees that were FAKE and upon closer inspection, the ground near those trees was fake as well.

A Huge Supply of Arsenic. It could possible be mined for even more.

Followers of Izel

Actions:
  1. Construct Hunting Lodge
The Hunting Lodge was a HUGE success. With careful training and due diligence, they are able to successfully hunt throughout the jungles without causing harm to the environment or over hunt the wrong types of animals, causing an extinction. This allows the protection of the animals in the Jungle. Gain PROTECTORS OF THE JUNGLE ANIMALS. WHEN OPERATING IN HOME TERRITORY, ANIMALS MIGHT COME TO YOUR AID WHETHER IN BATTLE OR EVEN DURING EXPLORATIONS/ADVENTURES.
  1. Host The Ogun Games (Invite Goliaths and Moonsworn)- The Amazons, the Goliaths and the Moonsworn were all happy by the creation of THE OGUN GAMES. All 3 clans gain an additional 1d10 population boost. REMAINDER OF BONUSES WILL OCCUR ON DISCORD AFTER THE EVENT OCCURS
Breakpoint:
Check out the glowing pool. (To be Resolved on Discord)

The Penitent
1687988042310.png
Break Point: Lay an ambush for the undead horde. (To Be Resolved on Discord)

Movement: Holy Clerics return with Orpheus to Caerleon while Zerrod moves to Salt Outpost.
1. Build a walled Salt Outpost using Giant workers (bonus to speed, development and high chance of additional ability or unit gain).

With the Giant Workers assisting with the construction of the Salt Outpost, it only takes a matter of weeks instead of months for its construction. With the outpost up and running a PERMANENT SUPPLY OF SALT IS GAINED BY THE PENETENT AS LONG AS THEY HAVE ACCESS TO THIS LOCATION.

Zerrod is able to enjoy salt on his meat. It not only increases the taste, but he soon discovers just by accidently leaving it out for a while in his room, that it manages to keep for far longer than normal. GAIN ACCESS TO LONGER FOOD STORES AS LONG AS SUPPLY OF SALT IS CONTINUED.

2. Collect fallen star and return to Caerleon for study in the school.

After the very long travel, Caerleon finally returned home to the school and began studying the Fallen Star. He managed to discover that this fallen star was made out of far stronger material than their stone. They even had difficulty to even break off small pieces for the examining and testing. If properly harnessed, this material could make much stronger weapons and armor for them. However, it also seemed to be filled with potent magic. Instead of attempting to harness its physical strength, they could boost their own magical abilities through THE STONE of the Fallen Star.

Gain Zealot Champion:

Alois
Martial 2 Magic 1
Skills: Holy Damage- Deals an extra 1 damage against unholy creatures
Might Makes Right- Whenever he kills an enemy, he will gain +1 during that battle (Max+3)

The Goliaths of The Stormwrath Peaks
1687988627800.png
Break Point: In Progress on Discord
Action 1: The Art of Gold

Building the mine was a great success. Soon enough, they were taking out large chunks of gold to be processed by the Blacksmith. Jewelry was disseminated throughout the people as a sign of luxury not seen elsewhere. This gives them a +1 MORALE BONUS. With the new weapons and armor, there is currently enough to OUTFIT A SINGLE UNITS WORTH OF TROOPS with Gold Weapons and Armor. they are substantially heavier and the blacksmith warns that they might not last up to extended battles as much as STONE.

Action 2: Flamespitter's Fury

Following the directions of the Wizard from years ago was not much of an issue. The lair of the GRIZZARD, the Fire Breathing Lizard stands before them. The cavern opening is taller than at least five goliaths stacked on top of one another and just as wide. The creature must be of an immense size. Littered outside the cave are the bones of various creatures ranging from small flightless birds to huge monstrous like ones. (Continued on Discord)

Shaping the tribe had been a long and arduous process. Mr. Shadows was thoroughly exhausted by the end of his first year. As the years piled up, so too did his exhaustion. Each flesh champion he created was taxing, and he was growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of connection with the other tribesmen. Had ZOA abandoned him? It made no sense. He was there to witness the Great Betryal. He predicted every single order ZOA wanted and executed it with ruthless efficiency. Hundreds had died by his hands, or been forcibly brought into the fold.

So what was it? What was wrong? He scratched at the giant insect worming its way through his skull. It had grown so big over the centuries. It twitched and shuddered when he ran his fingers down its rough carapice. It was the closest thing to a friend he had. Once its mind-controlling powers began to wane, they entered in a loose facsimile of companionship. At this point Mr. Shadows didn’t even know why he was serving ZOA. He wasn’t compelled by the insect anymore. But he still loved ZOA all the same. Watching people’s screams of horror give way to sobs of joy moved something deep within the ancient bat. ZOA was truly a deliverance from the suffering of the world.

While Mr. Shadows was pondering this, the elegant yet terrifying shadow of Selassie fell over him.

"Hello there dear leader. Care to play a game? You seem glum."

He pondered briefly and toyed with his gnarled cane. "What kind of game did you have in mind?"

"Chess. Come on, we're all playing down by the beach."

The duo walked through the scorched valley, basking in the glorious sun. There was an odd lack of animals skittering about, as most of them had been recently butchered to make more cannon fodder. The salty smell of the beach wafted from the ocean. Many aberrations frolicked on the beach, shoving one another playfully or engaging in jovial conversation. A giant flesh ooze threw around a leather ball. When they saw Mr. Shadows, they ran for him and embraced him. The old bat felt a twinge of belonging that was swiftly overtaken by nascent jealousy.

Selassie got a chessboard out and placed bone pieces on the board one at a time. A small crowd formed around the odd duo. "So Mr. Shadows. Think you can beat me?" she implored.

He grabbed a white pawn and moved it forward, gazing into Selassie's eyes, sizing her up. "I don't think you'd have asked me to play if you thought I'd win," he mused.

She chuckled and moved a pawn. "I don't think like that. You just seemed so lonely on that rock, working on your constructs."

As the game picked up in intensity, the crowd grew in size. The flesh ooze lofted smaller flesh-forms on its tendrils to get a better view of the game. It was a difficult game for both parties. Selassie was a defensive player, preferring to protect all of her pieces. Mr. Shadows, on the other hand, had no qualms about sacrificing pieces for a better position.

By the end of the game, Selassie gained a second queen by promoting a pawn. This devastating blow spelled the end for the old bat. He slumped his shoulders when she checkmated him, and got up to leave. To his surprise, flesh-forms surrounded him and cheered.

"Why are you being nice to me? I lost," he muttered.

Selassie put a hand on his shoulder. "We're just happy you're here man. Now come on, we're playing ball in a few minutes."

"But my-"

"Your constructs can wait," she said with a smile. "Just have fun with us today."

Selassie can gain 2 new abilities in this manner, but may swap them out as she wishes if she finds new, better abilities she'd rather have. [Kill bosses or champions to really enjoy the benefits]. A queen thrives on the sacrifice of pawns.

Control - Selassie can 'hijack' another scion of FLESH to 'oversee' them, letting them push past their limits. She can sacrifice her attacks to grant them a bonus to any action they take. [Can grant a creature a +2] In a major battle, this would be giving up attacks to grant a +1 to hit aura.

Zoa Is Watching - She has caught the eye of Zoa, for better or worse. Whenever she prays to Zoa, she rolls two die and takes the best... However, if Selassie fails or proves unworthy, she will be punished.

... But there was a downside to her change..

Golem's Burden - The Rune still bears that final command, the command that haunted the golem for its existence.. but Selassie is a being of FLESH, she can resist it. Normally. If she rolls a crit 1, she loses a turn as she is forced to walk in a random direction. (edited)

The Three-Sisters
[Unique Life - Stages]

This creature is.. kind of immortal. When it would 'die', it instead reaches another stage in its life and 'molts' into something new. At turn 5, The Sisters Three will become something new.

The Young, the Old, and the Prime
Before it goes to attack or do an action, roll a d4 to see which head is in control. The Young is Martial 2, Magic 1. The Old is Magic 3. The Prime is Martial 4.

1 - Bicker, Youngest

3 - Old
4 - Prime

Engulf
When fighting something smaller then it, it has a chance to utterly engulf a target. While engulfed, the prey takes large amounts of Acid damage until dissolved.
