Serena was surprised that she had gotten up that morning, she was to excited last night to sleep and ended up falling asleep fairly late. So, she got little sleep. It was the first day of senior year, and she was pumped. Although, she was kinda sad at the fact that this was pretty much the first day of the beginning of the end of her childhood. She knew that the moment she walked out those doors on graduation day that she would no longer be a child. Nope, she'd be tossed into the adult world and forced to be an adult. So, yeah, this year was going to be a bitter sweet year, but she was going to make the most of it.


After she picked up her schedule from the gym, she looked over it, smiling. She was content with the schedule, she didn't have much classes, she had four classes out of the seven periods; her last two periods were release periods. As she was making her way to her first class, a security guard came running up to her, telling her to go to the office. Confused, she did as she was told. Panic started to set in because she didn't know if she was in trouble or not, and she was just overthinking, worrying herself. Her chest tightened as she walked into the office. "Oh, there you are, we thought we had to call you over the intercom. Serena, do you think you could show the new transfer student around? He has the same schedule as you, well nearly the same, he doesn't have the release periods. Either way, if it's not much could he be your tagalong for the day?" The office lady asked kindly with a smile. Serena didn't say anything, replying with a nod instead of words. "Great, well, this is Carter," the office lady introduced Serena to the teen boy, "Carter," she looks at the boy and gestures towards Serena, "This is Serena, she'll be your guide for the day." With that, the office lady shooed the two out.

Hayden sighed as he looked at his schedule. He didn't like school, he's been to way too many in his 84 years of life. Honestly, he didn't even know why he was in school. Oh, wait, the law made him. This was one of the few times that he hated being a vampire. Biologically he is 84 years old, sadly he looked like an 18 year old. Yes, vampires do age, but just very slowly. He was going to look 18 for a while, and he hated that. He did not want to repeat high school over and over for the next decade or so. Sighing, he took in a deep breath, inhaling the sweet scent of the human blood that surrounded him. Don't worry, he's a vegan, kind of; the only human blood he drinks is out of blood bags, other than that he drinks from animals.


He enters his first period classroom, freezing for a split second as a sweet scent hits him. His eyes scanned the room and lock onto a brown haired girl for a second before looking away. He could feel his fangs come out lightly as he breathed the scent in. Hayden lightly runs his tongue over the tip of his fangs as he calmed himself down. He felt wary around the girl, he didn't like how her scent kicked his animalistic instincts like it did. He quickly took a seat at a table far away from the girl, doing his best to put as much distance as he could between him and the girl.
