Batman (w/ Mousie)

The newly stated commissioner stamped her hand down against the desk to gain Harley's attention. She had a glare in her eyes that continued to search for Harley's. Besides Harley was Logan who looked very comfortable and attentive. "Do you think this is a joke, Harley? I can easily have you sent back to Arkham Asylum if you choose not to listen to what I'm saying." Logan's expression was still as blank as his motives were at this point. The commissioner took a few slow breaths and sat back down in a relaxed pose. "The only reason why you two have been released from our custody is simple. We need you to find criminals that are plaguing this city and remove them from our society. For each criminal you apprehend earns you a reduced sentence." The commissioner began to neatly sort through the folders that piled through her desk. "Do I make myself clear on this?"

Harley would look around the office of the commissioner. Her attention completely somewhere else until she heard the slam on her desk, which made her blink towards the female as she seemed to be losing his temper. Though that did not really have any affect on her at all, only having a grin on her lips as she would look at the other, wanting to say something that would probably get her into trouble again. Holding back her laugh as she pressed her lips together, though her smile did not fade at all and just stayed put. "Like going on a hunt?" She asked already being convinced to do this job even more when the other mentioned that she could get out of jail sooner than she had to. Her legs were going up and down as if she was warming up to go running and whistled as she thought about it. "Yes, miss A-cup." Harley sung a bit mockingly towards the commissioner, not caring if she was being rude as she just said what she was seeing right in front of her. However the handcuffs around her wrists were a bit annoying to be honest as she could not move them around freely. Though maybe they were right about keeping her restrained so she would not break things.

After Harley's offensive comment, the commissioner was about to boil up into a stressed out rage when a quiet voice whispered out of nowhere. "Which criminals are you most interested in apprehending first, commissioner?" Logan asked. Before a word bursted out of her mouth, she paused for a slight second before regaining her thoughts. She pulled out a folder swiftly and began to explain, "The first criminal that the Mayor and city need to get taken down is James Cruelville. He's a simple terrorist that's in his late twenties that has been last located near Gotham Church on 22nd." She continued to look through his folder. "We believe he's trying to set up another suicide bombing near that location. Find him, and stop him from causing devastation to the city. Do this, and perhaps we'll loosen our leash." She closed the folder and slid it towards Logan. "Are there any questions? Because time is of the essence."

Logan neatly adjusted the folder on his lap and opened it up to reveal information of the suspect. He looked up towards the commissioner after flipping through a few pages. "Are you going to keep my accomplice handcuffed while we're on this mission, Commissioner?" Logan asked in a monotone voice. The commissioner had an annoyed look to the question, as she jumbled out her keys. "I expect you to watch over Ms. Quinzel. Any of her actions will not only extend her sentence, but also yours two fold."

As the commissioner seemed to be going to burst out, Harley was expecting it and actually encouraging it a little. So when it did not happen, she pouted out of disappointment as she would love to see someone from the law go crazy because of her. It was like one of the joys that she could make happen but the guy next to her, also called Logan, just had to stop her from doing so and ruined the whole show. Harley had heard of the name James Cruelville as she had heard it be spoken off from the circle she was in before. However, that was done now and she was kind of on her own which was a bit boring. But that did not stop her from amusing herself by making police officers mad or others who were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Shifting a bit closer toward Logan and vaguely looked at the words being written on the papers that the other was holding. Her smiling growing wider by the seconds that passed by as this was just getting even more interesting.

When Logan said that her handcuffs should be opened, the commissioner did as he said which was funny in Harley her eyes. The look in he female her eyes were just radiating the expression of annoyance to Harley her pleasure. So once she was released, she stood up and walked towards the exit of the office and opened it since she could now walk around freely to a limit and she was going to make use of that time no matter what. However, before she would enter the hallway, she turned back to the female with a mischievous smirk on her face. "See you later, Miss A." She said to her and skipped out of the office happily.

Logan tailed Harley's trail out of the office swiftly. He knew how dangerous the mission was, as the folder had a graded danger level from C - B - A - S letters. The letter that was on the first page was an S. He already began calculations inside of his head on where the most advantageous position would be to explode a bomb. A heavily populated area was obvious, but it had to be detonated in a place that no public person could see easily. He stopped suddenly to find Harley in a flirtatious pose in front of a few male officers at the lobby of the PD. His eyes grew colder than usual at this sight. He took in a small calm breath and closed his eyes slightly as he began to speak to Harley, "You think that you're free to do as you please, don't you girl?" A small smirk grew on his face. "You're still on a leash, girl. Only, they're not the ones that are holding it any longer."

A television was propped in the corner of the lobby, facing the doors. On it a news reporter narrated:

"Just last week we've received multiple threats from a doomsday cultist known as James Cruelville. Police report that he's a true public enemy to our society, and that if seen he should be reported immediately to the authorities. All citizens are warned to proceed with caution if he approaches them. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous to say the least. In a city without Batman, one could only hope that the police catch this mad man before he attempts to cause an explosion in a high traffic area. In other news, Markyle Industries has made a public statement about their CEO, Sebastian Markyle."

Harley turned around towards where the voice was coming from, realizing that it was the same one from earlier, the one from Logan. Her thoughts were everywhere except to where they needed to be and pushed herself away from the counter next to the entrance of the building. However, just as she wanted to say something, she was interrupted by the television which made her focus on that instead. Crossing her arms as she listened to their words and had this wicked grin on her lips the more she got to know about the subject James Cruelville. It was like some new adventure to her. But this time without Batman in the picture which made things a lot easier than they would have been if he would still be in town. Almost making a cheering sound but refrained to do so and just sneakily moved out of the building, making sure nobody saw her as she did not feel like people rambling to her.

Once outside, she took in the fresh air and spotted an empty police car in the distance, walking towards it in a fast pace and getting inside of the car. Switching on the motor by combining the right dreads with each other since she did not have the key of it. She may not have looked like it, but she was actually quite smart once she would put her thoughts to something that honestly interested her. This case was not really the one that she had been fascinated with but more like something to play with, like a kid who received a new toy. Putting on the music, one that police officers usually would not let be played throughout the car. Loving the vibe that she was getting from it and put on her seatbelt since she did not want to fly out of the window if she would crash into something, and that something would rather be a someone.

Logan hastily climbed into the front seat besides Harley. He adjusted his seat slightly so he could rest his knees in an upright position. He wasn't fascinated with how child-like Harley Quinn was, when she turned on the radio. He pulled a seatbelt over his chest and strapped it on tightly, knowing that Harley was going to be an extremely reckless driver. While the radio was blaring, Logan adjusted it so any announcements on the police radio would interrupt the music. In that moment the radio blared out a message:

"We have a hostage situation at the Markley Bank. Calling for a dispatch at that location, repeat, calling for a dispatch at that location." Logan turned down the radio and gave a glance at Harley. He knew that it was her decision whether they were going to go to the Gotham City Church to investigate, or go to the Markley Bank to apprehend a potential suspect.

As Logan jumped into the car, she huffed as she did not think that he would follow her that fast in her tracks. Maybe she would need to be a lot faster the next time and just drive off the minute she would start up the car. She would drive out of the parking lot and up the streets, only to have her music interrupted by an announcement of the news. Wondering how the people even got to know it that fast. Maybe they were like stalking everyone and waiting for anything to happen which could screw up the whole city. Well, that was indeed a nice thing to do, but she would rather be the one that caused the chaos. Once the message ended, she clicked her tongue and let her eyes go over the boards placed next to the streets and went in the direction of the Gotham City Church. "To the church we go~" She sang happily as that seemed more interesting than just patrolling a neighbourhood to look for James. "You don't talk much now do you." She said to him.

Logan chose to remain silent and let the music and roaring engine drown out the awkwardness he felt. He wasn't in a studious mood at the moment, as he was more focused on breaking down James Cruelville into nothing more than a helpless delinquent. That's the only goal he ever had in his mind. Complete dominance of his opponents. But the babbling bimbo next to him could never be considered to be an opponent worthy enough to break. He still retained enough memory of the folder to theorize one of James' motives. Attention. If he wanted that much attention, Logan knew he could deliver it in a way James would never forget. As the vehicle bumped over the shoddy terrain they call roads, he could feel the light stab-proof vest that hugged his chest loosen a bit. He knew he'd have to adjust his suit after they exit the vehicle.

After a while of silence and random bursts of pestering from Harley, they finally arrived at the crime scene of the church. Nothing looked damaged on the property, besides a few signs of graffiti that looked too juvenile to be done by James. His trade card was an explosion.

Harley just let the other be his sulking self since he obviously lacked any amusing expressions but since he was the only other person in the car, she could not help but to just say something from time to time which were not always that logical. Though it was better than just driving in silence and having the feeling that she would lose herself even more than she already had. Her eyes would roam over the buildings in front that passed by as she drove away from it and up to the search where something was going on for the moment. It had been a while since she actually had seen a kidnapping or did so herself. Yet she had to admit that it was a bit weird to hunt on other villains than on the people who were supposed to be the good ones. Of course there were always exceptions as some police officers were not by their right mind all the time either. Sometimes some really weird guys would take place, even for her they were completely insane.

Once they arrived, Harley stepped out of the car and adjust her clothes before walking towards other cops while watching what they were looking at. Through the window she would see someone who was holding a gun towards a civilian his head, which was a bit funny from her point of view.

Logan made his way out of the vehicle promptly and presented himself to the officers in a polite mannerism. The officers attention were mostly on Harley Quinn who was adjusting parts of her clothing that grabbed their eyes. Logan joined their vision of Harley, to notice that she was staring into one of the windows of the Gotham Church building. Inside was a young female civilian with a gun to her head. She didn't even put up a struggle or scream to the man holding her. Logan turned his head back towards the officers and began to explain the situation, "Officers, you have only a few decisions and minutes to save this girls life. I suggest you stay out of our way from here on. Your higher ups should've informed you about our arrival." Logan slightly stamped his foot on the pavement as he moved closer to the church doors. He leaned against the side of the door in an arched position.

"Follow my lead, girl. Don't do anything drastic, and remember, I want him alive." Logan said to Harley in a concerned tone.

Harley just walked behind Logan as he made his way towards the entrance of the church, ignoring the stares that she received from the other police officers as she could not really be bothered with them at all. Instead of taking in a position like Logan did, she just stood there next to him with her hands placed upon her hips as she was looking for something that she could use in order if something were to happen inside. Noticing a piece of wood laying on the ground and grabbing it, slapping it against her hand to test how much strength it could handle and it was pretty strong from the feeling of it. The tone of the other however was something that she did not like and stuck out her tongue before walking towards the other side of the door and just waiting for the other to open it up. Tapping her foot against the ground as she really felt like chewing some gum right now. "Don't let it get too high in your head." She said in a sweet voice but letting it sound like a threat at the same time.

Logan slipped out a simple pocket watch from his breast pouch in his suit. He clicked it open against began to tinker with it. The key to handling the criminal behind the door depending on timing consistent maneuvers with the device. Basically, hypnotism on a basic level. But before he'd consider using it on the man holding the hostage, he'd finally decided to see if the device actually worked. "Harley..." Logan began to speak out really slowly in a calm, relaxing voice. "Harley, look at me very slowly. Look into my eyes while you follow the watch" He began to swing the pocket watch in a very steady motion back and fourth. One of the officers broke his concentration but blurting out loud, "What the hell do you think you two are doing? GO! There's a hostage in the building!" Logan's eyes darkened quickly, as he turned around to face the officer.

Harley looked at the other when he said those things to her, not even knowing why he would say such a thing. Tilting her head to the side as she would look at him out of confusement. Why would she even have to look at the clock in the first place, it did not make sense in her opinion. So when the police officer called them like that, she snorted and placed a hand on the door before glancing over towards Logan. "Yeah, there's a hostage in the buidling. We should help the poor kid." She said in an overly dramatic voice to state her point that this was just a game to her. With that, she pushed the door open and laid the piece of wood on her shoulder. "Don't shoot, we come in peace." She laughed as she said the word 'peace' as that was the first time she had actually said that word in a very long time. Maybe a bit too long in others their opinions but well, it was better to use it in these situations than never having used them at all.

"That's it, we're taking over from here. Disregard the commissioners orders, she's no Gordan." An officer spoke out bluntly. The raised their pistols towards Harley and Logan now. "You'd let a hostage die out of fear that we'll do your jobs better than you, officer?" Logan protested mildly. "No. It's just that freaks like you are incapable of saving this city. Don't even ask me why Commissioner Lowe would allow freaks like you to do our jobs." The officers clicked off their safeties now. "Harley, go on ahead without me. I'll deal with the officers promptly." Logan commanded. He began to do the repetitive swinging motions in front of the officers. "Don't take your eyes off him! And don't you dare move, you damn witch! Call for backup, now!" The officer blurted out uncontrollably. "Five..." Logan began to count out the ticks left in his pocket watch in small whispers. "Four. Three. Two. One."

Harley laughed at the faces the officers were wearing right now. Fear mixed together with a little bit of anger and jealousy. The perfect combination to make someone mad, being capable of harming someone who had not done even anything wrong. Harley put her thumbs up towards Logan and focused her attention towards the criminal on the other hand. Weird to think that way about someone, but so it would be. As the other male was trembling, Harley smiled towards the girl. "Close your eyes." She instructed her which the girl reluctantly did to the confusion of the man. Harley slowly made her way towards him and once she was in an arm length distance, she swung up her leg, kicking the gun out of the other his hand which could have ended two ways: a shot through the girl her brains or a shot to the wall. The second one was now being made into truth. The male making an attempt to run for it, but he forgot that she was still holding a piece of wood in her hands. Crashing it into his face before telling the girl to get out of there while she bashed the wood onto the man his body but not hard enough to make any serious injuries, though they would still sting quite badly.

In the background of the church there were multiple shots fired from outside. The echo of the burning barrels could be heard from blocks away. At the edge of all the chaos outside, Logan walked at a slow pace into the church. The blazing smoke behind him gave him a ghostly appearance. He noticed that the man holding the young girl hostage was knocked down and maybe unconscious. From what Logan could make, he saw that Harley Quinn enjoyed the scenery she created. It was if she was a child that destroyed the pinata and got all the candy to herself. He chuckled at the thought.

He made his way towards Harley and the knocked down man. "I'm glad to see you've handled the situation better than those officers outside would've. I have to hand it to you girl, you have a sort of... Resourcefulness." He complimented her in a dry voice. He felt a warm blood trickling down from his lower abdomen.

Harley would look at Logan as he entered the church before giving the man one last slam as the piece of wood would break by that. A joyful giggle would escape from her lips as she heard the comment that he made about her. "You just figured that out?" She asked him rethorically as she knew very well what she was capable off, just not thinking that it was necessary to use her trump cards all the time or it would get a bit too boring for her and that would become rather dangerous for herself and the others around her as she would look for even more risky things and actions. Her eyes lowered themselves, only to see a stain of blood on the other his pants, shaking her head as she pulled the other along with her and gestured for him to sit down on one of the benches before ripping his pants open. Pulling a piece of iron out of her hair which she used to keep her ponytails up before kneeling down in front of him. "You can scream if you want." She said with an evil expression on her face as she was going to pull the bullet out of his leg.

Logan sat with an empty look on his face. As she toyed with the piece of metal inside his flesh, he had the occasional flinching gesture here and there. It wasn't long before the building outside was surrounded by multiple swat teams. "It seems I've created quite the commotion outside. Their response time to the scene is notable." Logan murmured to himself. As Harley finished pulling the bullet out of Logan's leg, he grew a more saddened expression. "This is the Gotham City Police Department! Come out with your hands in the air, now!" Shouted a voice that blared loudly outside. Logan pushed Harley out of the way slightly as he got up from sitting.

He left her and the unconscious man inside while he walked outside with his hands in the air. In one of the hands he was holding something tightly. "Whatever you're holding there, drop it! Now!" Shouted the microphone voice again.

Harley would enjoy herself as if it was a game as she would try to grab and pull out the bullet which she had actually managed to do after a while. Amused by the flinches of the other when she touched something that was a bit painful. For the other that is. As the voice of the police agents echoed throughout the whole building that she was situated in, she let out a sigh before making way for the other to stand again. Surprised that he would not fall flat onto his face because of the possible pain since the wound was still open as she did not stop the bleeding yet. Shrugging as it was his own body so she did not have to care about it. Watching the other walk outside with his hands high up in the air.

She instead first walked over and lifted the unconscious man up in the air as she also walked outside, a grin plastered upon her face as she stood behind Logan who was holding something. As they said to let everything drop what they were holding, she did what they said and dropped the man to the ground. Snorting at the sound that it made.

Logan exhaled as he dropped what appeared to be a canister of some sort. When the object hit the ground, it exploded into a large white fume that looked like smoke, but was considerably denser. Before anything else happened, Logan had prepared his pocket watch and began to swing it in front of the officers. "You will let me and my associate pass with no resistance. You will drop your weapons and your will forget this exact moment ever existed. You will feel a sensation in your head that will cause you to collapse now." Logan began to mesmerize in a calm voice. The smokey substance in the air was an actual chemical that made the brain accept more suggestibility. It had spread at an alarming rate as Logan continued hypnotizing the officers.

They complied with no resistance in less than 5 seconds. "It's time to keep moving, girl. The commissioner had requested our presence at specific coordinates once we have the target." Logan spoke to Harley. He signaled her to pick up the unconscious man while he got them a vehicle to drive.
