Fantasy Awakening

Seraph Darkfire

King of the Underworld
Throughout all time, all of human history, there have been extraordinarily special people. They will always appear. However, humans are cruel creatures, especially in ignorance and fear. Death follows these special people...or more correctly, it follows them.

Everything changed though, once the First Child was born. She never smiled, never cried, only watched. She was one of these special people, yet she was also the first of her kind. Many years later, they will call these people...Tylwyth.

But now, in this moment, they call them Tywyll.

The Tywyll live in a separate dimension called Aleciev, but cannot remain there all the time, their bodies require other forms of sustenance that Aleciev cannot provide.

There are four different factions of the Tywyll, though they all follow the First Child.

There are the Plentyn, never aging children. They come in different shapes and sizes, though never grow older than twelve years old. A defining trait is their ruby red eyes, though they can hide this with contacts. They can also have either demonic wings or horns, though they can hide these equally, the look differs from person to person. The hungrier they become, the more demonic they begin to look.

They can manipulate the elements, only one per person of course. Fire, water, air, earth.

The Plentyn feed of the magic of others, though this is problematic as they need to find someone with a similar elemental magic as their own.

Weaknesses include their hunger, their opposite element, and personal weaknesses.

The next are the Gwag Un, the reason for the Vampire myth. Beautiful and powerful. They feed on the Blood of living creatures, any living creature, though human blood is the most effective. Contrary to myth, they are not immortal, they just have incredibly long lives. They have many abilities, though these abilities are linked to what blood they drink.

The Gwag Un can feed on the blood of any creature other than other Tywyll. The blood they drink is directly transferred into their abilities. Strength and Speed are natural, magic is not. The Gwag Un cannot use magic without blood. This is why human blood is so special. Humans have the most diverse magic of all creatures.

Drinking the blood of one human can grant the ability to fly, while drinking the blood of another can grant the ability to turn into mist. The Gwag Un have incredible senses, and usually have a favorite blood type and magic type, usually sticking to that specific type.

Unlike other creatures, the Gwag Un do not procreate under normal means. A single Gwag Un will stalk a particular individual for years before inviting them into their family. Once invited and accepted (these are the rules of the First Child) they inject their blood into their chosen one, using their fangs, shortly after draining them of most of their blood.

Weaknesses include Pure Silver, the Sun(only when starving), and religious paraphernalia(this depends on the individual)

Next is the Gwyllt, the reason for the Werewolf myth. They look as human as the Gwag Un, however, they are not. Inside them runs the blood of the beasts. Any beast. One beast per person of course. Lions, Tigers, Wolves, whatever. This is decided after their creation.

The Gwyllt have three forms. Full beast, half beast, and human. Occaisonally, depending on their mood, some of their more beast like traits will appear in their human form.

They have the best diet of any of the Tywyll, generally the diet of their beast form works for them, with the occasional vegetables and fruits for their human like forms.

Weaknesses include Pure Silver(similar to the Gwag Un) and individual weaknesses.

The Dyn Tywod, otherwise known as Sandmen. A solitary people, they only need to feed off Dreams, good, bad, it doesn't matter to them. Their forms are as flighty as the dreams they eat, though there is always a common theme. Dark, though the younger ones seem to take on a more human appearance to walk among humans.

They are Dreamweavers, capable of turning dreams into reality, though this generally comes at a heavy price. They can also put people to sleep with a dust like substance. Other than being slightly creepy, they are relatively nice, usually eating bad dreams and giving good dreams in return.

Last is the First Child. The only one of her species, she sees far more than just sights. Fun loving and childish, she created Aleciev just for the other species, then she made rules that they had to follows, or they would be left to fend for themselves. Aleciev is made as a sanctuary, a place where those like her could be safe.

Until a thousand years ago, the other species were sparse and rare to be seen, some nearing extinction thanks to humans hunting them. Once Aleciev was created, their numbers began to increase once more, though with proper regulations, such as preventing the Gwag Un from propagating freely, as well as feeding regulations, keeping the humans safe as well.

The First Child, unlike when she first entered this world, smiles much more often and freely, loving all of the other Tywyll as if they were her children. Yet she is mysterious. Just because Aleciev is around a thousand years, old doesn't mean she is.

The only way into Aleciev is to use a key. All four races possess this key, it is branded onto a part of their body. Everyone does. However, this key can be easily revoked should you break the laws of Aleciev.

I didn't expect this to get interest so quickly. I thought this up last night before I went to bed. I'll get to work on the rp.

I like it. I assume there is a storyline you have in mind as to where everything might lead to? Or is this going to be a casual, daily lives of these creatures?
