The Overlord
The World of Avalon

From the moment in which the idea and need for creation was brought into existence a being was born to handle such a need. Xanathar the god of creation, first of the gods and father f all that have come after him. From the moment of his "creation" he was fully aware of who he was and what he was meant to do. But like any other living being he knew that he would grow lonely if there were not others like him to share in what he wished to create. To start out he took eight pieces of his own essence to form his "children" starting off with Sulei Goddess of Fire, Food, and Family. He knew that just like himself who yearned for a family that the mortals would need someone who cared enough to look out for theirs so they could be warm, fed, and happy together. Next he created Ashenar God of the Hunt, Bows and in some places, God of Wolves for what he could teach the mortals would help them survive long after any other problem they may face in life. Then knowing well that Life for mortal would end he made Scrane the God of Death so that they would be secured even once they left their mortal coil. Moving along to maintain the seas Hai Yang Goddess of the Sea, Rivers and Horses was born since sea life would serve great importance to all life. In a moment of curiosity with bending the the forces of will or woe he created Ádh Mór Goddess of Luck, Mischief and Assassination (The last two coming later). With the addition of such an unpredictable force Xanathar sought balance which resulted in the birth of Amareus God of Balance, Wishes and Heroism. Lastly he realized he failed terribly so in an area which might be more important than all others but knew introducing this would require a counterpoint. He created his last two children together born destined for each other, Maja Goddess of Love, Peace and Beauty and Insert God of War.

Once his children were born he went about creating the divine realm so that they had a home to live since their presence in the mortal realm for extended periods of time could have disastrous results. He made it to be an ever expanding space that gave room for all to live so that they could stay close but not annoy each other after so many years pass. Then he went at work forming Avalon starting with its rock base layering it with water for sea life. Then morphing the lands into different environments from forest to desserts. Following that he made all the animals making sure that each had the exact patterns and instincts needed to live, grow, and thrive. Finally starting with the Mortal races and starting off he made the mightiest of them all, the dragons. Because of this he became the patron God of Dragons. He made many different kinds from ones that lived solely to protect and guide the other mortal races to ones that sought death and destruction. But he did make one thing the same in all of them, their desire for treasure. He continued on with humans, elves, tabaxi, orcs, dwarves, and so on until all the mortal races were born in the world. As his final act of creation he formed, the Weave, a layer of intersecting invisible lines that contains all the magic of Avalon. This weave was draped over the world and became an intangible force that binds all the magic together.

When all things were created and the gods took their place readying for all that they would be responsible XAnathar task the first born golden dragon Telith with spreading the word of the gods to all the mortals.

The Magic of Avalon

Magic in this world was designed in a way that only those who dedicated enough time and effort would have access to it. Of course there are some creatures who are born with the innate ability to use some magic like elves with dragons being the only beings born into the world that have full access to powerful magic from birth. To make things simple for people to understand though a numeric system was put into place to understand the strength of the spells being used and how difficult they were to learn. This system ranges from 1 to 10 with spells starting a 1 being simple things like mending an object to lighting candles with the wave of a hand. Level 10 magic is by far the most powerful and as it stands no mortal is able to use such but if one could they would have the power to reshape the world. Currently mortals who have dedicated their lives to magic can only use up to level 6 magic with those who have reach that limit being very rare. These limitations are mainly do to the strength of the individual who is trying to draw power from the Weave. The more one uses magic (or higher level magic )the more they tire themselves out until they are unable to use magic any longer and must rest to so that they may continue. One can also store magic call effects in items or on a person from runes or other forms of enchantments but the use of such things still require the magic of the Weave.

(Note: The use of magic to resurrect another person would require level 10 magic)
