As the 10 participants in the AYTO Final Selections have all been checked in and accommodated, they are taken via taxi or uber straight to a beautiful beach off the outskirts of Maui. They're bags, belongings, and items will surely be escorted to the House of Hearts, but for now....it was time for them to meet each other. The selection process was long, and rigorous, yet the tides of fate much like the waves that stretched before the beach had rippled these few people together on a new conquest of love. Destiny awaits the 10 who would soon to step on the serene aura and soft sands of the beach, but how would they forge their own way? Will they dedicate their feeble hearts to the game of love? All for the sake of finding their Perfect Match, and also an extra bonus of ONE. MILLION. DOLLARS!? The ides of romance compel them to walk away with love and money, but the heart is a tricky and fickle thing. Will they disrupt the flow of intimacy from the already formed and attached bonds they will make? Or will they throw it all on the line. The time was now to find out. The Host stood on the beach, in a very dapper suit tailor made to fit. It was an onyx black with some silver pearlescence to give it a quality sparkle. A black tie complimented his swagger. He smiles as he watched the Laddies enter the beach first. He gives them a smile and a nod. This was it, it was officially go time.

"Adonis, Rhys, Mark, Greg, and Leven! Welcome Laddies, or should I say gentlemen, to Are You The One. I hope and trust your flights were rather comfortable. My name is Redd Hart, I'll be your host for this session, helping, rooting, and guiding you through these 8 weeks so that you guys can find your Perfect Matches. Look, if I gotta be honest...these ladies are probably the most attractive group I've ever seen together. You guys are gonna gave your hands full and I would NOT want to be standing where you guys are right now. I mean that in a good way! Okay guys, ready to meet the Lassies!?"

He awaits their enthusiasm, clapping his hands together before stretching them towards a small trail paved with tiki torches.

"Welcome your Lassies: Imani, Vanessa, Hadley, Claire, and Anora!!!"

The ladies then walk out from the tropical green surrounding the beach, Redd looks at their faces and smiles with another respectful nod. He then turned to see the reactions of the men at the stunning ladies, and then turns to gauge the females' reaction of said men. He groups them across from one another for a specific reason. Now the 8 weeks officially starts now.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Are You The One starts now! Now, I have to drop the charisma for just a second and get a little real here... a lot of you were saying that you only got on because SOMEONE signed you up. The reality is we've tested and researched your personalities and resume extensively. At the end of the day you guys signed the contract to come on the show, so the liability now rests with no one but you. And let's face it. You guys are here for one reason and one reason only... you guys suck at relationships. For whatever reason despite your amazing looks, you cannot or have not sustained a hearty relationship, which goes to show you, looks aren't everything. If your Perfect Match was standing right in front of you, would you even know it? Don't answer that, I know it's a no haha."

A few humorous chuckles sound through the men and women, as Redd bubbles up once again with glee.

"Alright guys! Here we go. This competition is NOT about hooking up with who you think is the hottest. This is a quest for true love, and a Perfect Match. The rules are simple. 10 people. 8 weeks to find all matches. I would HOPE you read the rules on the contract, but seeing as how I'm The Host, I'd be a bad one if I didn't go over them again:

  1. The ONLY way to confirm if you and your partner is a Perfect Match is the Truth Booth: A place where the voted couple enters to sync up to confirm or deny their match status. House members consider with thought about who you send into the Truth Booth, as you only get once per week. Time is of the essence.
  2. Challenges and Competitions will be administered for the housemates through the weeks for a chance for a Getaway Date: a special vacation fully paid for for you and your matched partner in order to spend time privately and bond with one another. Anywhere from 1 to 2 couples can win a Getaway per week. ONLY WINNERS OF GETAWAYS ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE VOTED INTO THE TRUTH BOOTH THAT WEEK. So play with your heart!
  3. If a couple gets confirmed as a Perfect Match, they will be taken to a separate resort called the Honeymoon Suite for the duration of the 8 weeks. They will not be partaking in further challenges, but may do as they wish for the duration of the 8 weeks. BUT they are free to mingle and interact and still help others figure out the other matches. If a couple does NOT get confirmed, it's back to the drawing board to determine who among them could be their Perfect Match.
  4. At the end of the week, I will visit the house to see who's being voted into the Truth Booth, and after the voting regardless of the results, the house will all meet in front of The Beams to choose their preferred partner for the next week to come. Guys and Girls' choice will change every week to maintain balance. The Beams are spotlights that represent the number of Perfect Matches that are currently paired together, you just won't know which people they are, which is why the Truth Booth is so important. If you get all 5 at any time in one sitting, you win the million AND you get to walk away with a shot at true love, however, should you not get all 5 Perfect Matches in 8 weeks. You get NO money, and could lose your shot at finding the one true match for you. Sounds easy right? It's not."

Redd's face then goes a bit damper, as if there was more not so thrilling information to provide.

"Also... for this competition, we've added a twist. For reasons known only to myself, I have to keep it a secret until it's tome for that twist to be revealed. So Lassies & Laddies, I wish you the best in your journey to finding your match. And to the mystery matches, fight hard, this is a team effort. You all need to work together to win love and money. It's not about who you want, no, a Perfect Match is who you need. So with that being said, let's BEGIN!!"

Redd then reveals 5 unlit Tiki Torches, all with pictures of a particular animal on them. He looks to the men.

"Here, we have 5 tiki torches with spirit animals on them. Guys, it's your choice to choose which spirit animal you would be most drawn for. Choose wisely, because whichever animal you choose, you are also choosing your female partner to connect with for the week. I would not want to be you Laddies right now... how do you pick from these gorgeous ladies? So fellas, good luck. Here are the spirit animals to choose from: "

Totems

"Alright! The guys the Tiki Torches with the Spirit Animals on them are first come first serve, so by all means, have at it!!"
(After male characters post with their choice of spirit animal, I will strikethrough the animal list to make the remaining choices easier to see)

Redd watches as the men start to choose, the females talking amongst themselves. The game was on. Love was no game, but would they play from the heart? Or crap out on a chance at true love? The time to find out was now.

Mood: Nervous, Excited.

uwqBbISg_400x400.jpg

This was it. What started as a spur of the moment online browsing of casting calls had now landed her on an actual real program, one that could possibly settle her affairs of the mind, body, and spirit. The only thing in this universe that could both tame and amplify all three of those things at the same time. Love. The flight was a very serene and peaceful ride, VJ had managed to quell her nerves by simply listening to some of her own recorded music and sleeping to it. Once the plane touched down in Hawaii, the girl's eyes shot with adrenaline and she became more nervous than any performance she'd had up to that point. She managed to find a taxi driver that was specifically to take her to a destination among one of Hawaii's most gorgeous beaches. Once she'd arrived, the taxi was instructed to take her belonging to a place called the House of Hearts, in which she would be staying at after she met everyone. Sooner or later, her heart begin to pound out of her chest and time gradually went on and more and more of her fellow Lassies would show up. She'd nod and wave to them all, introducing herself to them. They were a diverse enough bunch of girls, and every last one of them were astounding in beauty. She could only imagine what the guys looked like.

After a point and time, once the Lassies has gathered and the Host begin to head out to the beach to speak to the Laddies first, VJ's nerves started to get the best of her. She was a deeply intuitive individual, catching the deeper tethers of the universe that most conventional people wouldn't bother. She felt like this 8 weeks was going to change her life as she knew it forever, one way or another. She could only imagine the events in store for the next two months. Trying to keep her mind at ease, she knew she had to vent it out somehow, just some assurance that she wasn't the only one feeling like this. Turning to her other fellow girls, she spoke.

"So this is crazy right? Like this is actually insane? We're about to potentially meet our perfect halves?"

It wasn't long before Host Hart had announced the Lassies, as they all walked in a line out onto the beach to see the most attractive cluster of men that she'd seen in recent memory. With her traveling and some shows she'd booked she'd seen her fair share of the beautiful male specimen, but the five before her were like an assembly of sexy avengers, and VJ's mind immediately went to a place it should not have. Her nervousness showed through as she started to fold her arms and chuckle under her breath. She whispered to the Lassies while Redd was speaking.
"Oh my God they are so hot...". VJ laughs a bit at Redd calling them out for being bad at relationships, and soon he'd began to explain the rules. Van made sure she'd listened carefully to them so she could come up with an approach that'd be the best for the 8 weeks. However, as soon as Redd mentioned a major twist that wouldn't be revealed until it was time, VJ's heart sank in her stomach. Her imaginative mind went light speed. What could it be?? When would it come? How would it affect them? Vanessa visibly gasped at his words, looking at the other girls in tension.

When it was time for the Laddies to pick the Totems, VJ stood silent and watching, only wondering who'd pick her totem. Instead of singling out one guy that stood out, she ended up eyeing all of them with equal attraction. It was impossible to single a guy out, they were all dropped straight from a music video love ballad. VJ had some songs in mind for her current feelings... but she'd remain in her head until the guys picked the totems.

Greg couldn't help but feel more out of place in his entire life as he stepped out of his Uber to the glittering lights of cameras and other filming equipment. He wore his usuak navy blue suit with matching tie and a sky blue shirt. He wasn't one for the glint and glamour of reality tv especially for something as personal as love and relationships. His sister had signed him up for this so and he only agreed at a moment of weakness towards his sister and with the expectation that he would not get past selection. How did he get through he didn't know.

He sat in line with the other men, feeling like he was part of a line up. He looked up and down his competition, though he tried not to prejudice but he could help compare most of them to most of the criminals he had dealt with in his time as a cop. The women though looked as expected, beauties of various sorts, none he would turn his nose up on at first sight. However he knew from long experience that looks were deceiving. His attentions turned back to the relentlessly upbeat presenter ,which he swore was worse than his sister, and listened to his explanation.

When tiki tourch? He wondered looking sat each one individually. He knew that spirt animals were connected to specific traits so it was a clever way to see if he shared traits with any of the girls. However more then one what apply to him: Wolf's protectiveness, horse's nobility and independence, and so on. He gave it some thought but couldn't think of which to pick, however what would he pick for the girl he wanted? He finally he walked over and stood behind the wolf tikki touch, uncertain of his choice though a neutral expression in his face.

Rhys Schroyer

mood: enthusiastic, confident
interacts with: all

Rhys couldn't help but look a bit dishelved, especially when compared to the dapper gentleman on either side of him. His flight from New York to this gorgeous Hawaiian island had lasted no less than 15 hours. His only chance to straighten himself out had been in the cramped airport bathroom stall, and even after all that effort, he had still gotten it wrong. Their host, Redd Hart, was dressed in an exquisite suit that was even more dazzling under that flashing of cameras surrounding them. Rhys, however, was simply wearing a button down dark yellow top loosely tucked into his pale blue jeans. He hooked his thumbs into his pockets, deciding he wouldn't let this discourage him.

The host introduced the laddies, and Rhys tried his best to assign the names to their faces. A sly smirk stretched his face when it was mentioned that the ladies were quite an attractive group, whooping and hooting when Redd asked if they were ready to meet them. Rhys was an overenthusiastic young man, and though his reaction was arguably a bit over-the-top he figured he rather be noticed than blend in. His eyes followed the trail of tiki torches, brows lifting when the women emerged from the greenery. Damn.

Rhys was visibly a bit surprised when the host mentioned a decent amount of the contestants were signed up by someone else. This would likely affect their chances of finding The One. Personally, he knew he was shit at relationships and he'd taken the initiative to sign himself up. Would those who didn't volunteer themselves be more reluctant to fully thrust themselves into the activities? Rhys knew damn well he was going to try his absolute best to find his match, and if anyone was foolish enough to stand in his way then he wasn't afraid to raise hell.

A scoff tumbled from his lips at Redd's latest remark. He certainly couldn't determine which of the lovely ladies in front of him was his match. So yes, looks certainly were not everything, though Rhys figured he'd have some trouble keeping that in mind further down the line. He zoned out a bit during the reading of the rules. Logistics bored him half to death. Though his ears did tune in again when there was a mention of a twist at the end. It worried him a bit, but at the same time it brought about a bit of excitement. He loved surprises.

Rhys hesitated a bit when it was time to select the torch that he wanted. At the end of the day, it wasn't that huge of a deal considering it was only for one week and he knew each girl equally. Though as he swept his warm gaze across the line of women he certainly had one or two that he'd love to pick first. However, as he'd been thinking it over one of the men had already picked his torch.

"Wolf? Nice choice there, Greg," he commented as he approached. He honestly was considering going for the wolf but instead, he felt drawn to the butterfly. Perhaps it was because of a childhood incident where he curled up in a ball in a butterfly house, terrified of the beautiful creatures swirling around. Butterflies were beautiful but not to be underestimated. Eventually, he reached down and grabbed it, hugging it close to his body. His lips curled into another smile as he looked up at the women, hoping the "butterfly" would meet his gaze.

Imani Bello

image.jpg

The flight that she’d taken had been relaxing. Imani had flown first class, she couldn’t remember a time where she’d flown coach. Once her plan landed she’d managed to shake off her nerves. A long video chat with her close friends had helped. Just as she entered her Uber her phone rang. The young woman wasn’t surprised to see her mother appear on the screen. With a small sigh she answered it.

“Iya, o ti sọ fun mi nipa idojukọ ati wiwa ẹnikan ... nitorina kini ti o ba jẹ ifihan tv otito kan? Wo o! Mo ni lati lọ!" Imani spoke in rapid Yoruba, her voice held a bit of annoyance. While her friends were thrilled that she was going to be a reality tv star, her parents were not so thrilled. Her mother had been calling since she’d told her to let her daughter know just how much she didn’t agree with her choice. The best thing about being an adult was that Imani could make her own decisions without letting her mother interfere. Before she knew it she’d reached her destination. The view was a true thing of beauty and she couldn’t wait to explore.

Upon arriving Imani took notice of the other girls, she gave them a quick once over before she smiled charmingly. A beauty with long, blonde hair spoke up after a moment. Her comment made Imani chuckle. “It’s a little crazy, but what’s life without some thrill eh?” Her accent made itself known as she spoke to the other woman. Imani straightened her posture a bit when it was finally time to show themselves. She confidently sauntered onto the beach. Imani was tempted to kick off her shoes in order to feel the sand between her toes but decided that now wouldn’t have been a good time. Her attention was stolen by the group of attractive men in front of them. Hell even the host was fine. She eyed them openly, wondering if she could just snatch all of them...Redd included. Of course she realized that it wouldn’t never happen but she could dream.

Thankfully for Imani she had a great poker otherwise the other contestants would know just was parched she was. But honestly she was looking forward to see how things would play out.

Anora Goodwin16230049_985999808197606_1731407471429287936_n.jpg Life is just full of surprises isn't it? Some of them good, some of them bad, some of them a cause of great anxiety. Like this. Anora wasn't truly prepared to face this challange. Her flight was uneventful, albeit a bit cramped, and uncomfortable, and Hawaii was a lovely change of pace so far from Michigan, you know, from what little she had seen during the ride over to where all the girls were meeting. Speaking of which, they were all unnaturally gorgeous. By god, her little bi-sexual heart started to flutter when she saw everyone, but her shy and introverted nature took over almost instantly, leaving unable to do much else than quietly introduce herself. Anora Goodwin from Michigan with a rather noticeable Irish accent, who was almost entirely silent the rest of the time the girls were waiting, and the whole presenting then to boys, who were all also unnaturally gorgeous, what the hell? Her confidence was slowly shrinking as she felt pretty plain next to everyone else.

Anora stood with the other girls, nervously twiddling her thumbs as she watched the boys. Redd seemed like a funny host, or at least one with a great TV personality, Anora laughed when he joked around about them.being bad at dating, and had that 'Oh my god, whaaaaaaat?' Cocked eyebrow look when he mentioned the twist. The boys had to pick a totem from a group of tiki torches. The butterflies thrashing around in the put of her stomach only seemed to intensify. Who would pick her totem? Would he like her? Would she like him? Dozens of the same type of question raced around her head before she forced herself to take a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts as she looked at each of the boys. Really, it didn't matter who picked her totem really, she just hoped they would get along.

Waking up that day in his New York penthouse was one of the most nervous days Mark had in a while. It was finally time for the show to begin, and even though he was fully packed, he was not prepared. As he got out of his bed and into the shower, he thought about what the next few months would bring him. All his life he had been so focused on success that he had never stopped and thought about his own happiness. After drying off and looking out onto the streets below from his balcony, Mark wondered how the event would change his life. Who was he truly looking for and how would he know when he found her? Although these questions would be answered in due time.

Driving to the New York airport, he chewed on all of the thoughts that were running through his head beforehand. "Eh, what more can I do" he asked himself "I'm just overthinking things at this point. Before he had left, Mark made sure that all his affairs were in order. He had taken two full months off of work, putting someone else in charge of his firm and made sure that everyone was on top of their current projects. He had his parents come and stay in his penthouse as both for house sitting, and a small gift. Although truth be told, even if this 8 week endeavour did not amount to him getting a lover, he did need a vacation.

The flight to Hawaii was not something that Mark was foreign too. Because of his reputation in the design and architecture business, many wealthy people from all over the world sought his services. This plane ride would be the tenth one this year alone. Not to mention that riding first class made the trip all more enjoyable. Landing at the airport, Mark found the driver that would take him to the destination of the supposed gorgeous beach he had heard about.

Seeing all the other men lined up on the beach made Mark a little bit intimidated. While all of them were wearing suits and fancy shirts, Mark only wore basic shorts and a white button shirt, which he had already taken off because of the heat. The only thing of luxury on him was his golden watch. Although he did notice that he was the tallest one among them. But none of that mattered to him when he layed eyes on all of the beautiful, no, gorgeous woman infront of him. Every single one of them looked like a model, something out of a Victoria's secret magazine. He couldn't believe that he had a chance with any of these women. After a few of the guys chose their totems, it was finally his turn. Walking up to them, there was only the deer, horse, and lynx left. After thinking about it for a moment, something made him choose the lynx.

LEVEN AMOR

California to Hawaii, a nearly 6 hour flight. Leven stretched his long limbs as soon as he and the other passengers were given the okay to unbuckle and exit the plane. He may have flown first class, but that didn’t stop his body from stiffening up.

Leven doesn’t remember the last time he flew out of state for purposes that had no relation to his work. He typically spent his off days and vacationing weeks within the area of his home, or at his home. Now here he was touching on on Hawaii soil, beautiful scenery all around him. And for “love” no less. Had it not been for friends persistence and his promise to his grandmother to have a healthy romance(or whatever), he wouldn’t even be here.

The views he past was enough to make him make a mental note about going out of state more. There was a slight buzz of anticipation thrumming through his body as the car inched closer to his desired location. ‘Guess this is it’ his thought before exiting the vehicle.

Leven approached the area the other men stood, nodding to those who happened to look his way as a form of hello. His expression remained neutral throughout the host entire speech. Only shifting when, the girls were introduced, giving an approving nod as they were indeed all beautiful; and the host joked about their bad dating skills. Mustering a half smile (that he did when he was amused) while everyone else chuckled.

There wasn’t even much shock that went through him when the host announced there would be a twist. However, there was slight annoyance. With shows like these, there’s always going to be a twist. Which is basically a surprise, Leven didn’t like surprises too much.Hence is annoyance.

When it was his turn to pick a totem he unhesitatingly grabbed the horse. His didn’t really care too much for horses, but his grandmother always loved them.

Adonis Greyson

s8QSzk9.jpg
Radiant blue skies, clear ocean water, and beautiful young woman. It was the ultimate dream getaway Adonis Greyson has been waiting for. At first, he was hesitant on having his friend enter him in the show, but now he's thankful he was even chosen. Everyone back home was going to be watching. So he had to make sure he didn’t act the fool on live television. This was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to not only let loose but also find his perfect someone.

Flying in first class was a lifestyle Adonis could get used to. Bottles of fancy champagne, the seclusion from others, and the peace and quiet was perfection. Leaning back in his seat, Adonis placed his headphones into his ears, letting out a deep breath of relaxation. A reminder to thank his buddy back home for setting him up. The flight was going to be long, so he created a playlist to put him at ease. Starting with Frank Ocean, and ending with Childish Gambino. With many hours passing, they were drawing close to their destination. Taking a good look at the view, the island looked like paradise. It was beautiful. Adonis has seen pictures online of Hawaii, but never this up close; it almost seemed unreal.

Fully landed, Adonis was eager to get to his destination. Paradise was awaiting him. Seeing his driver, Adonis handed his bags over and got inside. Once arriving, Adonis got from out of the car and seen all of the dapper young men waiting patiently. Everyone arrived in style which already made him feel like he was in the right place. Adonis chose not to wear a suit, leaving his best outfits for whichever young lady he was to spend time with. Dress to impress, that was his motto. That also seemed to be the case for the host, Redd Hart.

Listening to Redd's description of the girls and the show had Adonis pumped and ready. Remaining cool and collected, he didn't want to come off overly excited as his anticipation grew. Finally, seeing the girls appear from out of the greenery made his heart sink to the floor. Adonis couldn't believe his very eyes, they were all stunning. Somewhere in his mind South by Galimatias was on repeat. Keeping his cool persona, he raised his brown giving the girls a half charming smile. Of course, Adonis had to remember they were all there because they suck at dating, so there was that. When it came time to choosing his totem, Adonis grabbed the deer. Mostly because it was one of the few remaining, but maybe a sweet girl was on the other end. Deers are relaxed animals, right?

Redd stands by as he watched the Laddie's reaction to the girls, they were all gorgeous indeed. One by one, the men started to head toward the totems and pick one of the associated pictures. Redd would watch the faces of all the guys, and then his eyes would trail to all of the Lassies in which their totem was picked. He knew which belonged to whom, but the anticipation that was setting in the guys surely made Redd glad he was the host and not a member. With his clean obsidian suit and hands behind his back, he watched patiently as all the Laddies had finally chosen up all the totems and stood behind them proudly. A smile strikes Redd, as he claps in a high energy fashion and directs himself to look at the guys.

"Alright, so all the totems are picked. Let's see what we have here. It seems Greg was the first to pick as he went for the Wolf totem. Rhys came in after that and selected the Butterfly totem. Mark followed up with the Lynx totem, while Leven decided to choose the Horse totem. Finally and not least, Adonis chooses the Deer totem. Fellas, why did you pick the totems you did? What drew you to them?"

Redd takes a moment to listen to the Laddie's answers, and he nods in understanding as he then shifts angle to stare directly at the beautiful Lassies.

"Well ladies, all totems are picked. Without further adeau, please go stand in front of your Totem and unite with your companion for this week!"

Redd again smiles in patience as the Lassies all walk over to their compliment Laddies, the tensions and emotions clearly can be sensed by both the men and women. He waits for them to get together before he speaks again. "So, Greg you managed to match with Claire. Rhys, you and Hadley will be together this week. Mark, Anora is your match this week, and Leven & Imani will be a pair to kick things off! Finally, we have Adonis and VJ as a couple for the week. So! How do you guys feel about your matches?" As the Lassies and Laddies offer their opinions and feelings to each other and to Redd, he starts to walk over towards the section of the beach where they entered from, closer to the trees and the city. A slight breeze picks up as Redd gets one last big look at the 10 members that will go through an emotional roller coaster to love and a million bucks.

"Again, I cannot stress enough how much you have to play with your heart. Not your head... and definitely not what's in your pants. The fact is you're here, and you can convince yourself that your family or friends or cousin bob coerced you to come or you felt obligated to. That's bullshit. You're all grown men and grown women. You came willingly of your own accord because we all know there's a million ways to spend a summer and try to find love right? You selected this for a reason, just like you were selected to find true love. Don't waste it."

His serious disposition fades away yet again and his million dollar smile (literally) returns as another wave of taxis drive up in the near distance.

"What happens now is you all will be taken back to the House of Hearts where you'll be officially moved in. Your stuff is already there waiting for you simply get it, pick a room, and start your stay of 8 weeks here in beautiful Hawaii. You and your matched partner for the week will be tasked with a simple feat today. A quiz and interview. You and your partner will be tasked with asking each other a series of 10 questions. ONLY 10. Each of you are free to come up with any 10 questions you like, and they don't have to be the same as anyone else's. This is to break the ice and help you determine chemistry and compatibility. After that, you guys will be taken out into the nightlife of urban Hawaii to enjoy yourselves at a party hosted by us! So dress nice, and get ready for a night you'll never forget! See you guys later. This is now in your hands."

Redd waves them off as he heads into a limo and it whisks him off into the sunny day of Hawaii. The 10 members are left to their own free will. Are You The One is underway.

This was it part two. VJ watched as all the dapper men went to go pick a totem and stood beside it, her heart racing with every waking second that passed. One by one the men stood boldly beside the totems, and VJ looked among her fellow Lassies to check to make sure if they had the same looks of nervousness and exhilaration on their faces. She turns back to see the guy she'd now focus her gaze on, it was the guy who had picked her Totem. She was definitely impressed with what she saw. He was beautiful, and already the imaginative girl's mind shot to images and mindscapes of harmony and passion with this selected fellow. But, she had to stop herself and keep grounded. It was that forward thinking of hers that often made her dive deep into people, which was probably why she sucked at relationships in the first place. The wise phrase is think before you act. The problem with Vanessa has always been that she thinks while she's acting. When Redd announces the Lassies to finally walk and stand in front of their Totem and male companion for the week, VJ takes the first strides over and walks up to the Deer Totem, smiling up at the lad she was to connect with and get to know. His height was tall, but not too much separation from usual females since VJ was five-foot-nine. She was easily the tallest female there, with everyone else being 5'5" and under. "Hi." She says simply to the guy known as Adonis. Redd lists off the matches, as he then asks how they all feel about their matches. When VJ had the chance to speak up, she did. "Definitely happy with my match, he's attractive he has a nice smile... he's someone I'd go for haha."

Redd's speech that followed made VJ get serious and almost feel lile she was being grilled for liking Adonis. She knew it wasn't personal, but she was deeply sensitive. It only put her back in her state of trying to think and mentally break down every single facet trying to find the right one in the appropriate way. He told them not to waste the chance they have, and now they couldn't use their friends and family as an excuse. VJ never did. She wanted to do this, if someone out there in the universe could pair her with anther beneficial soul then why not? Plus with her career and interests she'd definitely want someone to love her before her fame. VJ sees the taxis pull up as he explains the next task for them to do is a simple one. A quiz and interview. VJ nods with a smile as he explains each member can come up with any 10 questions to ask their companion. VJ had already thought of at least 4 essential questions. He then mentioned as a token they would all be taken to a very festive and fun club/party type deal later that night. VJ had to plan her wardrobe. Currently she only sported a bikini top and a hula skirt and her low cut converses. She smiled a bit before Redd took his leave and the taxis honked for the Lassies and Laddies to get in. They were two van taxis, enough to fit all 5 guys in one and all 5 guys in the other. VJ slides in the taxi as everyone leaves the beach, and they make their way to their home for the next two months.

Once inside the taxi van, VJ lets the other girls in as they head off to the House of Hearts. Once all inside, VJ asks the ladies about their opinion on things thus far.
"So what do you guys think about your matches? Adonis seems amazing but it's too early to tell. I gotta think of these questions. Also, if you didn't know about me my name is Vanessa but my friends call me VJ, I am 21 years old and I am a singer and songwriter. A fun fact about me is that I was an extra in Wonder Woman, I was one of the Amazons." She spoke hoping that maybe the Lassies would open up as well and all get to know each other since they'd all be each other's rock and basis of girlhood for the next 8 weeks. They ride through the beauty of Hawaii and end up in the midst of the tropical and lush green trees and the crystal waters surrounding them. They turn down a long straight road until they arrive to the place they'd all call home.

The House of Hearts.

Amazed, VJ stepped out and tried her best to stop her mouth from being agape as she watched the Lass and Lad's pour out of their vehicles. She speed walked inside the house to amazing decor and the smell of fresh pine and linen. She spotted her bags and grabbed them and immediately went for a second floor room, she'd picked one at the end of the hall with a window into the scene of what Hawaii had to offer. She sat her bags down and literally jumped on the bed before laying down flat and waving her arms and legs like a snow angel.

16230049_985999808197606_1731407471429287936_n.jpg She watched as Mark approached her totem, her nerves seemingly dissappering. Who knew that's the effect a beautiful man would have? Anyway, when Redd told them to go and join their partners, Anora took a deep breath, before walking over and standing infront of the Lynx totem and Mark. And my god, she felt so small. This guy was at least a good foot taller than her, but being 5'2" made it a little hard to tell. But she couldn't help but give him a smile and little wave as Redd continued talking, until he got to the point where he was telling them about going out. Her smile kinda fell, she hated going out. Well, not really, but was any of her clothes really going out worthy? She brought alot of t-shirts and shorts, and her bathing suit of course. Though...maybe one of the other girls could help her pick out something to wear, they all seemed nice. Her outfit at the moment wasn't too bad, it was one of her thigher crop tops that showed, despite her height, she was um...naturally blessed. Anyway, that top was paried with highwasited shorts and some old-ish sandels.

By the time everyone had to go and get in their respected taxis, Anora was feeling a lot better. Climbing in, she kinda smiled at VJ when she started talking. "Oh I love that movie! Nothing is cooler than throwing an actual tank," She chuckled. "I'm pretty excited about Mark, but only time will tell if we'll actually get along or whatever. And, I'm Anora. Also 21, and I'm actually gunning for a Criminal Justice Degree out in Michigan." Whew, okay, yeah, so far, VJ seemed great. And She didn't seem to be struggling to talk as much as she thought she would. So yay! But soon her attention went out the window watching for the House of Hearts.

Once they arrived, those butterflies returned, but, but Anora knew that they weren't really there for any reason. They just liked to be a every present problem. Anyway, Anora follow the other ladies inside, and quickly picked up her luggage, which was like, two bags and and oversized stuffed bear. It was hard for her to sleep without something else in the bed, and so Anora often used stuffed animals to like, cuddle with. Reguardless, like VJ, Anora decided on a second floor room, but one close to the stairs. Walking in she sighed, and dropped her bags and bear on the bed.

Imani Bello

Imani watched as the men slowly picked their totems. She didn’t really feel any nervousness, they were all beautiful men and the point was to get to know them. Imani would admit that a certain two had managed to catch her eye. Her totem was one of the final two‍. Imani stared as a rather intense looking man walked up to her totem and grabbed it. Her gaze turned appreciative as she eyed him. Imani’s attention was mostly on his hair. From where she stood the dark locks looked soft to the touch. Her fingers twitched slightly. She’d love to braid his hair if he would let her. Imani hoped that he was the type who liked to have some fun. Her sense of fun adventure could be a little much. Hopefully whoever she ended up with could handle that’s. But concerning her partner from looks alone he looked like the brooding type. She was looking forward to getting to know him to see just what type of person she would discover.

When it was time to reveal themselves Imani sashayed across the sand and over to her match. She smiled at him kindly before looking him up and down. “Gods, I see that I will have to invest in a stepping stool. My poor neck.” She joked. Imani stepped up to talk about her partner. “I like my match. His hair is just asking to be braided and styled. He seems pretty cool, we’ll see how this goes.” She grinned. Soon it was time to leave. With a wave to the guys Imani climbed into the taxi with the other girls. She crossed one leg over the other and her overs under her bust. “I’m satisfied with my match. Leven seems like a chill person. It was hard to read him though. I haven’t seen the movie yet, no spoilers.” She joked. “I’m Imani and in 22. I’m originally from Abuja, Nigeria. I work as a celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist. It’s nice to meet you all.”

Imani turned her attention to her temporary home once they arrived. The mansion was beautiful and larger than her own. She looked forward to getting settled in. Imani climbed out of the taxi and headed inside. Her suitcases were immediately found because there were so many. It was at times like these where she cursed her love of fashion. Imani began taking her things upstairs. She chose a room with a great view and a balcony. Imani went back downstairs to get more of her things. She continued to go back and forth.

Greg waited impatiently as the other men seemed to take their time picking their own totems. His face seemed calm but ones who knew him saw from his body language, particularly moving slightly on the ball of his feet, that he was nervous as hell. He didnt answer the other contestant about his choice of totem as he was not sure if he made the right choice. It annoyed him, he had faced criminals that would have happily killed him in the most brutal ways without breaking a sweat but picking a partner.. He figured it was the fact that the whole thing was out of his control and based on chance.

Soon it came his chance to speak and he cleared his throat trying to buy time to think of what to say. "It... It seemed the best one which represents the traiys to show what I had to offer and what traits I thought i would ike to see." He said simply trying to appear as calm as possible though he suspected he seemed stiff and overly serious. He was relieved to see the attention turned away from him.

Soon enough the presenter spoke up and revealed their pairings. Claire huh? His eyes wondered towards his match. She had that innocent shy cuteness which seemed to be comment attributed to Asian girls and it seemed not to be an act. Not to his liking but he retried to remain open minded.

Adonis Greyson

s8QSzk9.jpg
Examing over the totem he chose, Adonis wondered which girl looked like they would pick a deer as their choice. It was boggling his mind to who he could be paired with. Honestly, any of the lovely woman he would feel lucky being able to share some time with. Redd asked their reasoning behind their decision, and Adonis just playfully smirked. "Deer are playful, gentle, and kind creatures, right? So, I figured the girl who chose the deer shared those characteristics." Well, that's what he hoped at least. Who's to say they didn't pick that because it was cute?

Waiting patiently to see who he was paired with, Adonis' eyes veered to the gorgeous woman standing in his presence. With his heart rapidly pounding, Adonis put his nerves in the back of his mind. If he didn't think about it, then he won't screw up. First impressions were very important, something his job helped cement into him. A sweet smile graced his face as he gazed towards the young woman. Gorgeous was definitely the understatement of the year. Stunning sensual blue eyes you could get lost in, and a smile to make anyone melt away. Adonis had to remember to not get carried away, and remain cool, and collected. "Hi. It's a pleasure to meet you." Adonis laid on the low smoky tone, giving off a suave demeanor in his stance. He was very pleased with who he was paired with.

Listening carefully to Redd, Adonis needed to think of some questions to ask VJ. Maybe something personal? Or something silly? This was probably going to harder then he thought. The clothing aspect he was set before he even reached Hawaii. If there was one thing Adonis truly enjoyed, it was dressing in fancy suits. Not anything cheap from some strip mall. No. These were finely crafted Italian, and Egyptian blended suits that took weeks to make. Hopefully, VJ would be impressed with his ensemble. Once their taxis arrived it was off to the House of Hearts and a perfect time to think of some questions.

When arriving at his new temporary home, Adonis' jaw dropped in awe. The house looked like a palace or a location from out of a music video. This would beat any venue he's ever booked in his whole career. Once inside, he chose a room close to the pool, placed his bags on the floor and comfortably sat on the bed. So much to take in for one day and it was only the beginning.

Mark was terrifyed on what girl he would match with, as they all looked so beautiful. He then ran his hand through his long jet black hair as he again looked at all of the women before him yet another time. He was impressed that they found such a racially diverse group of women, as there was both an aisan and black woman present. He also noticed that there was a cute girl who was smaller than the rest of them, although it seemed like that didnt limit the size of her other features. He looked at her and gave her a smile. They were all unique in their own ways and he was looking forward to meeting all of them.

When asked the question on why he chose his totem, he gave a warm smile "I knew that the lynx was cunning and sneaky, yet a beautiful and intriguing animal. It blended in with the snow not to be noticed, yet could keep itself warm in the coldest winters. I knew that the woman who was connected to this totem would express the same qualities. A woman that can keep a man warm in his dark and cold times is worth having". This was what he had hoped to get out of his first pairing

Now was the moment of truth, as he would now fin out who he would get paired with. To his Suprise, the short woman that he was eyeing earlier was the one to greet him. When she was before him, his heart almost stopped. It was like looking down at an angel. Sure from a distance she seemed short, but up close he realized that he was more than a foot taller than her. It was like he could just pick her up like a feather. He gave s huge blush when she smiled, and began to rub the back of his neck. He retired a smile as well "It's a pleasure to meet you Anora" he said in his deep baritone voice. Mark was more than happy with his pairing.

Listening to Redd, Mark was already thinking of questions to ask Anora. As someone who hired professionals and met with nagging clients, he was quite experienced in asking and answering questions. This professonal experience also made him used to dressig up, as some of his more wealthy clients had high standards. He had quite the collection of designer suits, watches, and dress shoes, in which he had packed his favorites. The only problem was that he never really had talked to girls in a romantic way before, always either as clients, partners, or friends. Doing this would be a new experience for him, but he was confident that his natural conversation skills would make up for it. He would only have to improvise a little bit.

When arriving at the house of hearts, Mark was impressed. Whoever designed this home had good taste and a big wallet, although Mark had designed similar homes in the past. Nevertheless, Mark had never lived in one himself, so he was going to take full advantage of this opportunity. Claimig a room on the second level that had a balchony overlooking the sunset. He then made sure to arrange all of his belongings, setting up his guitars, amps, and keyboard. He then put his suits in his closet, along with his dress shoes. He then put his more casual clothes in the dresser beside his bed. He then went to the bathroom to set up all of his toiletries, as well as freshen up a little. He then changed his outfit to something more casual for the interview, saving the more luxurious outfits for the party. He then got out his leather notebook from his bag and sat at a desk. He began to write down some questions that he was thinkig of asking Anora.

LEVEN AMOR

Once the last of the totems had been picked, Redd’s voice cut through the silence that had momentarily took over as they chose.

Leven stood there silently listening to the other men’s answers as to why they chose the totem they had. Their explanations were unstandable. His reasoning was a bit more personal than that, however. “It seemed only natural to pick, my grandmother loved them.” As someone who was an abuela's boy, anything that reminded him of his grandmother, he immediately

The buzz of anticipation he had felt earlier was back as the ladies made there way to the totems. He eyed each one as they each took a place next to their totem. Soon, pleasantly surprised replaced the anticipation when a girl of chocolate skin tone took the space next to him. What are the chances of him matching up with the one he had his eyes on in the first place?

He greeted her with a nod and a light smile. It was to ease up the brooding look that naturally took place over his face. Wouldn’t want her to feel like he was displeased by getting her as a partner.

Leven smiled in amusement at both her joke about the stepping stool and her comment about his hair. He’d definitely let her do it. Because, one, he likes having his hair felt up, and two, she was gorgeous.

His opinion about her? “ Feisty, and seems like she can handle a challenge. I’m excited to see how this goes.” his expression didn’t exactly give away excitement but the slight raise of his eyebrows and amused curve of his lips says his interest has been peaked.

Once the girls were out of site, and they were heading to their new home, Leven let his neutral exterior fall back into place and his mind run. What type of question do I ask? I don’t have to answer if they’re too personal right? The thought of revealing things made his head ache slightly. And on national TV no less. His clothing for tonight would be no problem, however.

The awe that everyone else seemed to be feeling didn’t find its way to Leven as he didn’t bother to gawk at the house when he arrived. He just grabbed his bags and made his way through the house to find a room. His mother and father’s house was just as big, if not bigger. Still a nice house though.

Like, Adonis, Leven also chose a room close to pool. The room’s window had a nice view to it.

A flight to Hawaii was not something that Claire really thought she'd take. Aside from a few relationships during her High School and College Years, she never really considered dating websites, always wanting to meet people in a natural manner. She hasn't dated in three years, so this was a big step for her. Then again, it wasn't like she was getting any younger, so she didn't entirely complain. Not to mention Claire never made it a secret that she wanted to have children someday. But first, she needed to find someone to love...and be loved by. After the rather smooth-going flight, Claire got off the plane. With some help, she secured her belongings and soon got into an Uber, which would next take her to the Beach. The ride was relaxing, but Claire was much more nervous about the whole matchmaking process, as it had never worked out for her in the past. Getting approval from her boss was even more difficult. Even if she walked out of this with money, she'd still continue to work because she loved what she did for a living. Everything else aside, she stepped out of her Uber and straightened out her dress and shoes. Joining the other women, she took a deep breath. Looking at them, she did start feeling slightly insecure about her looks, finding that some of them were prettier then her. Still, she wasn't gonna let that get to her head. If she wasn't pretty, she wouldn't be on the show, now would she?

Looking over to the male side, she was certainly taken aback by how handsome they were. But aside from looks, she was also looking at personality among other attributes. Next up, she watched as the men were handed tiki torches and given the chance to light up animal totems. If this was how they selected their matches, she was doomed.

Finally, she saw that she was matched up with Greg. He was certainly handsome. However, she was looking for more then just his visuals. What was he like? In a shy manner, she slowly walked up to him, her eyes locking with his. "Looks like its you and me this week. I look forward to getting to know you." She said, grabbing a lock of her hair and started twirling it.

Claire could be seen as tomboyish, but whenever there is a handsome guy near her, she'll start acting feminine. As they were taken to the House of Hearts, she decided to take the room with a view of the beach.

It was nice to be away from her vlogging camera, she had to admit. She loved her job, but having to film every single day and edit it into a daily vlog got extremely tiring. They notified her before she took her flight to Hawaii that she wasn't permitted to film during her time on Are You The One. She took it as a happy break from her YouTube fame and told her viewers to tune into the program and cheer her on. This show was also a great opportunity to grow in subscribers and viewers. Reality show stars had the same type of following as internet personalities, after all.

The almost 6 hour flight from LA to Hawaii was long, but she slept almost the entire flight. She looked around at the people taking the plane with her wondering if anyone else on the flight was going to be on the show with her. She didn't get nervous until her feet touched Hawaiian ground. She'd just ended a very public relationship with another YouTube personality and honestly, she wasn't sure if she was even ready to get back into dating yet. When she got a call back for the show, she decided 'why not' and took the position in the cast. This show was a rather extreme way of dating. But, even if she walked away without love or money, she'd at least have a bigger following on the internet, that was guaranteed.

When the host beckoned, she walked onto the beach where the boys were standing with a pleasant smile on her face and her skirt moving slightly in the beachy wind. She stood in a line with the other girls and sized up each of the men, catching a few of their eyes. Hadley listened to the host as he announced their names. She could see in their eyes as some of the gentleman recognized her. Most did, now-a-days. Her attention was brought back to the host as he laid down the rules and announcements. She tried to keep everything straight in her head, but she was sure to forget some of the lingo. Her ears perked up at the mention of a twist. A surprised look formed on her face, mostly for the cameras, and she turned to a few of her lady counterparts to express her emotions toward the announcement without talking of course.

"Lets begin." The host exclaimed and reveiled a totem for each of the ladies. She eyed the butterfly totem, knowing it was hers and wondering what they were going to be used for. He told the group of men that they were to pick a totem that appealed to them the most. She felt this activity was kind of silly and raised her eyebrows at the explanation. Nevertheless, she watched the men intently as they walked by her butterfly totem, wondering which young man would choose hers.

Hadley smiled when one of the boys chose her totem. She smirked at him signifying that it was hers and hoping he'd notice. At first glace he looked younger then her. Maybe only by a few years. But thank goodness he was tall. Or at least, taller then her. She often had a problem where she didn't know if she was actually into a guy...or if he was just tall. She looked over his facial features, which were young and boyish. He had a nice comfortable style and was slouching a bit. Definitely not a terrible person to spend her first week with. But, what he the one? That's something they had to figure out together.

Once all the lads were done choosing, the host instructed the girls to stand by their totem. Hadley walked over to her butterfly and gave the young man holding hers a simple, "Hello," before going back to her quiet state. Redd announced the matches and she learned that her match was named Rhys. She listened to the host intently as he gave them a few pointers about the competition. She audibly laughed when he said "and definitely not what's in your pants." She felt a little awkward when no one else laughed. Redd then announced that they'd be taking a detailed quiz back at the house and party in the evening in the Hawaii night life. She smiled at that. Something she was very good at was throwing back vodka cranberries and dancing the night away. When the host walked off an is whisked away in a limo she turns to her male counterpart with a sweet smile.

"I know he already kinda introduced us, but I'm Hadley. Hadley Beyer. And your name is Rhys right?" She asked him, extending a hand out for a handshake.

Greg formed a smile when spoken to by Claire, a smile which he suspected looked unnatural after the constant neutral look he affixed since arriving to Haiwai. He gave another look at the girl, it seemed her shyness was genuine and not just a put on which both worked for and against her. It was good that she was not manipulative but he wasnt looking for someone who was like him. She was gorgeous though dressed more as a bride than someone who is looking for love, which he found a little funny and ironic. "Likewise ma'am. I am sure we are going to have fun whichever way this leads." He said trying to sound excited and keen.

When the taxis came, he opened the door for her and waited for her to enter before he stepped in as well. The ride was quick and silent, so much for the next week being fun. It just nerves, he reminded himself and he couldnt hold it against her as he wasnt starting conversation himself. One arriving in the house , he was instantly impressed, indeed no expense was spared despite the already high prize money. He picked the first room available to him without caring much about what he got. It wasnt one with view of the beach but it was still quite clean and comfortable with all the basic ammanities. Pretty much good enough for him. He sat on the bed and wondered what to do, usually with time for himself he would either, read write or train if not working overtime of a case. He figured going to train in the gym might be the more social of his hoppies which he supposed was encouraged by the show. Therefore once unpacked, he changed to more appropriate clothing before stepping out to his room to find the hotel gym.

Vanessa had rested up a bit while she heard the commotions and chatters of all the other housemates moving their stuff in to their rooms. She saw that Anora, Imani, and Mark were all on the top floor with her, raising her eyebrows at the two Lassies when Mark walked by them. His strong frame and scent definitely caught VJ's senses. She dipped into Imani's room first, getting sort of close to her to whisper. "How are we supposed to pick out of these men?? Goodness. But you're from Nigeria? That's amazing describe it for me, I love to travel and maybe I'll go there one day... heck hopefully if I keep pushing with music you'll style me someday for the VMA's haha. I'm right across the hall should you need me! I'll probably come to you for makeup ideas. I don't like to wear much but sometimes when it's a big deal I will." After chatting it up with Imani for a bit, she then dips into Anora's room and immeidately sees the huge stuffed animal and smiles. "Oh my God that's so clutch I should've brought mine... anyways just wanted to say hi! What made you want to get into Criminal Justice? I graduated from Columbia this past year. I majored in Music and Psychology. Anyways if you need anything I'm right down the hall." After talking it up with Anora for a bit she then left the girl to finish moving in her stuff. She figured she may need to do the same. She went back to her room and start taking out her belongings, A big fold-over suitcase along with a large Columbia U duffel bag. She neatly folded her clothes and placed them in her slides, and put her more fashionables in the closet. She lined all of her shoes up in the closet as well, ranging from sandals, to low top sneakers, to Nike / Jordans, to heels. Once she finished, she clapped and took a breath of relief, leaving back out from her room and looking at Mark in his room. Once he caught her gaze she smiled and waved before making her way downstairs to see how the others were faring in their move in. She dipped in everyone's hallways and waved to them politely. On the way to the other end of the house, she couldn't help but spot another door. VJ prances to it, and opens it up to find a confessional room with a camera.
Interiors-Bigg-Boss-11-House-Confession-Room.jpg

"Wait is this thing on? Oh pure! I don't even really know what to say.."

She begins to act dramatic, looking intently into the camera

"HE came on to ME officer... I had no idea that he was from Atlantis!"

Moments pass.

"OBJECTION your honor!... cause these guns are badgering the fitness ;) "

VJ makes mock muscles and smirks into the camera, before cracking up and walking out of the room.

"The fuck is wrong with me ahaha."

She finally runs into Adonis by the pool, almost seizing up a bit before they locked eyes. She smiled a bit and it was hidden that she was nervous. She approached him and cupped her hands together like some 12 year old girl with a silly crush. She was all over the place, and she was trying her best to stay composed and grounded. "Hey, so this house right? It's crazy gorgeous." Just like she thought he was. "So, I already have my questions prepared. I'm going to take a quick shower and then we could maybe do it by the pool? The interview I mean! Not like, you know-- " VJ had to laugh at herself and palmed her face a bit as the nerves were trying to take her over. "I'm so sorry..." She had the face of a kitten while feeling embarrassed. Somehow she managed to draw willpower and morph back into a stoic figure shortly after. "So yeah about doing the thing by the pool xD I'll see you then." She mildly brushed past his defined arm and smiled as she walked away, heading back upstairs as she found the upstairs bathroom and grabbed one of her towels. Two bathrooms would definitely serve them good with so many in the house. One upstairs and one downstairs. Vanessa grabbed a fresh change of clothes and ran the shower. She had to wash the humidity and heat from the long flight away. Just refresh her body, and in turn her mind and heart. She used her favorite Mango Ocean body wash and before long the bathroom and vicinity of the second floor hall was smelling like a Bath & Body Works. She turned off the water and dried herself off, layering on some new wear and slipping into her room to find something comfortable to wear. She looks in the drawer beside her swimming duffel bag and pulls out some of her athletic wear to question Adonis in. Her leggings and a lounge shirt to wear around.

Outfit.

Once she was equipped, she threw on her recreation fashion glasses and headed back downstairs. She passed her housemates and saw that Adonis was already poolside. She brushed her hair back behind her ears, and found a nice layout chair to sit in across from Adonis. He looked so nice, but she had to shun her physical attraction for him in the time being. She could be very clingy and get attached to people because she loved to love, maybe that was what Redd was saying. However you usually go about finding love, open your heart to accepting things you aren't used to. She took a deep breath before smirking at Adonis and shaking his hand like some professional interview. She took out a pen and notepad like she was some psychiatrist. She clears her throat and gets in an imaginative character. "Ahem, So Mr. Adonis... My name is Vanessa Jenny Jeffers, and I'll be conducting your Love Interview. I hope to be open, and honest with each other and that we can find what makes us connect as people. A little background about myself before we start is that I love music, it's my pride and joy, heart and soul. I'm from Paterson, New Jersey. I songwrite, and I'm a performing artist. I graduated from Columbia University this year past as a double major in Music and Psychology. Oh! Annnd I was on the swim team as well, so I love the water too."

She nods her head in the direction of the pool after her statement. VJ then perks up in the chair, sitting upright as her figure stands distinct in the crimsoning sky. There was almost a glow to her peach-bronze skin as her eyes popped with an ethereal gleam while looking at Adonis. She starts to write on her notepad, and ask Adonis questions.

  1. Tell me about your childhood and how you grew up?
  2. What is your calling? Not what you do for work, but your calling and passion?
  3. What is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
  4. What is your deepest fear?
  5. What is the most valuable thing to you when it comes to Love?
  6. What’s your favorite genre of music and your favorite musician?
  7. How many partners have you been “intimate” with?
  8. Do you believe in fate/destiny?
  9. What is your definition of the perfect day?
  10. What’s one thing about your life you would never change for someone else, including me?

VJ writes down some key points and notes as Adonis answers her questions. She studied the way he spoke, how he got when each question was asked, hopefully he wouldn't mind her trying to go as deep as possible. VJ was a deep girl, and she needed someone at least in the same resonance to bond with and connect aside from just the surface conversations of how was your day or what are you doing. She needed to know she could have a best friend friend first before a lover, and sadly she didn't know what that would look like. Maybe this was a start to changing that. Every single time Adonis spoke, she never took her gaze from his, like she was staring past his eyes to some other realm. She wanted him to know she was engaged and invested in him. This was going to be tricky for her. How far should she go without investing too much into him? What if she put all her soul into him only for him not to be her match? The thoughts were swirling in her mind. Would she accept cuddles? Would she kiss him? She'd certainly like to, but could she do that without getting clingy? It was the hardest crucible she'd have to face with herself.

Imani had been unpacking when she felt a presence behind her. She jumped in surprise when she heard someone whisper to her. The young woman whirled around. “Oluwa o! Make some noise when you enter.” She placed a hand on over her heart. Imani was been so focused on unpacking all her stuff that she didn’t hear when VJ entered. She turned to gaze at her. “Well this Show was not designed to be easy. But maybe you’ll gravitate to your destined partner.” She shrugged her shoulder. Imani went back to unpacking. While she did her task Imani told VJ about her home and what it was like. When the other woman began to talk makeup Imani agreed. She didn’t pass the chance to style new people, it was a good way to get more people to see her work. Once VJ left Imani took out her Beats Pill and connected to her phone via Bluetooth. Before long one of her favorite song began to play. She began to dance to herself, matching the beat and singing the lyrics perfectly. Imani didn’t bother to close her door.

After she finished unpacking everything Imani. Began to look for something nice to wear for the party. She wasn’t too worried about the questions that she planned on asking Leven. Imani could only hope that he’d be able to handle her bluntness. Though she didn’t plan on asking anything too personal to begin with. Simple questions would do for now. He seemed like the mysterious type which led her to believe that he didn’t talk about himself much. Imani shook her head, she’d have to look past his appearance, no matter how visually pleasing it happened to be. After finding something Imani placed it on her bed. She grabbed her music player and headed downstairs to look for her Leven. She wanted to get the questions done so that they would get to the party. Imani believed that was when the real fun began. She couldn’t resist going into the kitchen. Upon seeing it fully stocked she smiled and began grabbing the ingredients to make a smoothie. Imani placed her Beats Pill on the counter and turned it down a little. She danced while making her smoothie.

16230049_985999808197606_1731407471429287936_n.jpg She was unpacking her bags when she heard VJ. "Oh hi!" She said with a slight smile when she saw her. "Yeah, he's pretty neat, makes it easier to sleep," She explained, still unpacking and sorting though stuff. She almost seemed to be avoiding answering VJ's questions about why she as going into criminal justice. Something about it made Anora tense up, until she let out a sigh. "I-uh-um..." She looked embarrassed, nervous, and truth be told, she didn't want to answer. But, Anora decided to anyway, "I was assaulted in highschool, freshman year." Her voice was quiet, "The boys who...who...well, they didn't get the time in jail they deserved for what they d-did to me. So, not to long after, I decided why not go into something that would help other people in the same situation." She told her a little about the course she was taking, and about her house plants, and even showed VJ a picture of her dog, a Corgi named Bandit. And then VJ left, leaving Anora to her own devices.

The woman closed her door, just then noticing her hands shaking slightly. Anora sighed, sitting down on her bed, before picking up her bear and hugging it. It may look a little weird for a grown woman to be doing that, but oddly enough, it calmed her down. The bear was actually a gift from her best friend, who was taking the same classes as Anora. It was nice to have a support system in class that had the potential to trigger something that Naora was better off not thinking about.

A few minutes go by with Anora just sitting in silence, hugging her bear, before she put it down and stood up. Wiping her eyes, she grabbed her phone, and opened her bedroom door. She has thought of a few questions for Mark, the rest she could make up on the fly, so she walked down the hall a bit to his room. Knocking on Mark's door, she poked her head in. "Hey, you ready to start?"

After finishing thinking up questions that he would ask Anora, Mark thought that it would be best to relax for a little bit until it was time to interview her. Pulling out his acoustic guitar, he began to fingerpick a melody

Playing instruments was something that Mark always loved to do in his spare time, and guitar was one of his favorites to play. It was the first instrument he learned to play, and it seemed to clear his mind whenever he played. Ever since he was 16, he practiced every day for at least and hour, teaching himself a song almost every week. After repeating the melody for about 5 minutes, he noticed that he had left Anora standing at the door. "Oh, so sorry" he said with a nervous smile "I didn't notice that you were there. My mind wanders when I play music" he laughed. He then put down his guitar on its stand and walked towards the doorway. "So I assume that your ready for the interview?"

Rhys had boyish looks and he knew that fact. Especially when contrasted with the more mature looking men who he happened to be on the show with, he wondered if it'd be an advantage or disadvantage. Probably the latter, considering he was incapable of being genuinely suave. Even his attempts to be seriously seductive were laughed at. Though he didn't mind. The young man wasn't delusional. He knew he was the type of guy women went for if they were looking for someone extraordinarily serious and intense. He was the guy women went for if they were looking for adventure. Excitement.

His gaze met Hadley's, a small smile curling his lips when she smirked at him. As far as Rhys was concerned, he'd struck the lottery. The woman was totally gorgeous, but then again they all were. She sauntered over and placed herself before him, and Rhys took the liberty of examining her closer. She was a bit short, but she didn't look fragile. Her hair was what interested him the most. He wondered if the highlights were genuine, and how long it'd taken her to grow it that long. Perhaps she'd allow him to touch it and he reached his fingers out to-- His eyes snapped back up to hers. She'd greeted him with a somewhat quiet hello.

"Madam," he replied, lifting his hand to give her a single-fingered salute and a cheeky grin. Redd began speaking again, so Rhys directed his attention in the man's direction once more. At least until he heard Hadley laugh aloud at something that was said. So she had a sense of humor? That's all he needed to know. He couldn't help but cringe at the idea of having to essentially interview Hadley as an icebreaker. There was nothing he hated more than icebreakers. He'd much rather do some sort of activity where he had to depend on Hadley to help him get a task done. Oh well, you can't win them all.

The cameramen then made their rounds, asking each of them why they'd chosen their totem. As he listened, he suddenly felt very silly for his own reasoning. "Well, butterflies are beautiful but damn terrifying. It's an interesting combination, I figured the girl attached must be pretty gorgeous, and pretty feisty. And from what I know so far, I was right about at least one of those." His eyes glittered as if he were laughing internally at how stupid he sounded.

Hadley extended her hand to greet him and eagerly took it, shaking with a warm, firm grip. Once he released he took the time to introduce himself as well. "Yes, Rhys. But spelled as if someone heard the name and tried to consider how they could spell it in the most unique way possible." He slid his hand into his pocket, shrugging with a crooked smile on his face. "It's Welsh, but not pronounced in the Welsh fashion. I suppose my mother thought it'd be too difficult to constantly correct people." His eyes flickered towards the cabs, then locked once more with Hadley's. "We'll talk more at the house, yea? See you then."

And with that, he peeled away and headed over to the cabs. The ride to the house was fairly silent, they all seemed content with staring out the window at the lush display of greenery Hawaii had to offer. Rhys took the time to admire the beauty, certain that without this show, he wouldn't have had the funds to do this. Whether he found his match or not, it was the trip of a lifetime, and he couldn't help but be buzzing with excitement. Especially when he thought of the party they'd have tonight. Living a fraud, lavish life for the next 8 weeks was anything anyone could ask out of their summer.

They approached the house, and Rhys' eyes widened in both surprise and shock. This place was... Impressive to say the least. He exited the cab, and slowly walked towards the building, eyes looking around and taking in all the sights the House of Hearts had to offer. After a few minutes of admiring the place and gawking at it like an infant seeing a magic trick, he entered. He grabbed his bags (a suitcase, two backpacks, and a duffle) and glanced around. Many people instantly gravitated towards the stairs, seeking out rooms with the best views. Rhys, on the other hand, stuck with the first floor, choosing a room with a mediocre view of the back of the house. However, this room was closest to the kitchen. He was a simple guy with simple needs.

He didn't bother to begin unpacking, instead digging through his tech designated backpack and fishing out his iPad. He hummed quietly as he tried to come up with some question for Hadley. He wanted some to be simple, get-to-know-you questions. But he also wanted some to be silly and show a bit of his personality. He was struggling with the latter and was grateful for the distraction when he heard someone clamoring about in the kitchen. He exited his room and stepped into the kitchen, surprised at the woman who was dancing to music.

"Hey I love this song," he said, announcing his presence with his words. Rhys then did the most embarrassing thing one could imagine and began dancing to the beat of the song. Well... slightly offbeat as he moved his lanky limbs awkwardly. But at least he looked like he was enjoying himself. He continued until he smacked his hand hard against the corner of the counter, letting out a slight yelp of pain and cradling it in the other. He offered the woman a sheepish smile before introducing himself in case she'd forgotten his name.

"I'm only kidding, I've never heard it before. Nice to dance to, though. I'm Rhys. And you're... Imani?" He cringed a bit, hoping he'd remembered her name correctly.
