Video Games Any Dragon Age fans?

Yes, but I only relatively recently got into it.

I played all Dragon Age games so far (though I wanted to kill someone for the Inquisition - seriously, that was a scenery game). I know the lore and the whole plot quite well (I did play DA: Origins, DA:A, DA2 many times, after all), and I did throw a fit a few times when my friend discarded some very important (for me) ideas how to deal with the games.

No, really. I yelled at her.

Anyway, I'm really keen into meeting someone who understands how I feel xD

Personally, I believe the first Dragon Age was the most unique and full of content. It was a good game and it was interesting to play it again and again.

The second one was a bit too short and re-using content was too obvious to blend in the background. Also, dialogue wheel is awaful.

Inquisition was a joke to me. Too much potential that has been exchanged for nice graphics and stupidly big maps no one ever wanted. I had some problems with the lore too, I think.

Anyway. I still love Dragon Age, but I no longer trust the company :/

^ that guy.
Not to mention the laughably redundant game design of 2 and 3. You don't do games like that!

I'm afraid I noticed that most of the games are made like that today - to sell, not to like. It's ridiculous, because it won't work in the long run, yet people don't seem to notice it. I mean, if I have been responsible for making Inquisition and played it to test it (I really hope those people at least try to play it first...), I would start to wonder where it has gone wrong.

But I have a friend, who played only Inquisition and liked the game (more or less), so perhaps the game pains me so much mostly because I know it could be much better.

Nevermind, it hurts to talk about it... What's your favourite character, by the way?

It's a sjw heaven at this point, the Bioware, I think. They desperately want to be "right" and woke instead of making a good game, and that's what their problem is as a gamedev company. This had turned them from a darkish fantasy into a dating sim, basically. Which would have been fine - I am a big fan of Dream Daddy dating sim, and have no quarrel with other ones. But it's not really a fantasy action RPG. Contradicting your own lore and making games more and more basic and MMO-like is never a good sign too on the top of generally bad production decisions and seeming lack of narrative designers in DA2.

Admittedly, I too have known a few people to like Inquisition, but all of them were gay porn obsessed teen girls, so... *shrug*

As for the characters, I wanted to reply they all changed turning into sniveling emo mess as the series progressed, so I cannot really like any by now, but then... then I remembered my bro Oghren. Oghren's the best.

Ay, I love Oghren (though my friend hated him, for some reason). I also liked Zevran and Morrigan (depending on what character I was playing). Anders from DA:A was perfect. From DA2 I really liked only Isabela and Varric. Merril was too foolishly written and Anders has been destroyed completely. When it comes to beautiful Inquisition (sarcasm)... it had some pretty good characters. Dorian and Iron Bull were quite good, and Cole was a sweetheart sometimes. And Cassandra wasn't as annoying as she seemed to be at the beginning. I believe DA:I wasn't that bad when it comes to characters, but it definitely failed when it comes to the rest of the game.

Became a fan when i copped the origins game for free on Xbox, then i bought Inquisition, then got the second one for free as well, debating on going mad and playing through all of them soon.

in all seriousness, though, i've been playing this hecking series since the awakening and it's wild to see how different each title has been from their past incarnations. awakening feels like some weird janky game of chess compared to the fluidity of II. and inquisition just tried to marry both combat systems.

i still need to play through trespasser, but if i play it and beat it, i'll be all out of content. it's a catch-22 :/

I agree, I've been around the fandom since then as well. I like the improvement in combat, more fluid.

I haven't had the chance yet, but I heard it's decent.

gotta ask the big important fan question: who's your favorite romance option? across aaaaall the games.

Favorite love interests/characters:
DAO - Zevran mainly because I have a hard time telling NPCs no for anything and he always makes a move on the Warden first
DA2 - Fenris, I find him to be a compelling character and his backstory and growth throughout the game is tremendous
DAI - Solas, I like pain
