Among Gods is owned and copy righted strictly by Neow46, and is not to be used in any way without my explicit permission, All characters go to their respectful owners.
Link to the newer thread that is being merged here.
(Warning, heavily broken coding for the first few posts, be aware.)
A lot of the code here for this original post is rather busted, so i'll be copy pasting from the new thread for now!

PLEASE READ THE RULES AND GUIDELINES UNDERNEATH THIS SPOILER
Golden rules:

1. DO NOT GOD MOD

It'll only get your character killed a lot faster or kicked from the roleplay itself. This includes controlling other people's characters and NPC's, Metagaming, and otherwise being an annoying twat. There are some exceptions here and there, however this is otherwise a no-tolerance rule, and your character/yourself will be punished if caught doing so, and anything involving this rule is purely up to my discretion only.

2. DO NOT ENTER THE ROLEPLAY RANDOMLY
People who join in randomly like "ohai i'm here now" without Private Messaging me will be outright ignored and have their post deleted.

3. Please make intelligent and thought out posts
The minimum I ask for whenever you post is at the very least 1-2 sentences that are PREFERABLY THOUGHT OUT beforehand. It's suggested you AVOID bad decisions unless it's directly stated that your character does things like that. Please don't waste our time, it's practically a death sentence to the character.

4. PvNPC AND PvP IS REGULATED STRICTLY BY ME
Unless otherwise stated, I will manage any and all conflict involving combat.

5. Please use (Parenthesies) for Out of Character chatter (OOC)
Until we can get back into a hosted project, this is a temporary rule to keep up the clutter.

6. Absolutely no NSFW, Overly sexual content or Smutty RP.
As we use RpN, We must abide by its rules. Thus I please ask that you avoid anything Highly or moderately sexual in nature, as that is against Rp Nation's rules and in general code of conduct rules for legal reasons. Romantic Stuff in general, Kissing, Cuddling and low key suggestiveness/implications are totally okay, but we shall follow RpN's "Fade to Black" Rule if anybody decides to get a little Freaky/Smutty with eachother. Plus that kinda stuff is WAY more of a 1 on 1 thing, and typically is not appropriate for a group RP such as this.

7. Please be Respectful and Use Common Courtesy Both in character and Out of Character.
This Extends as well to the discord server, Please be courteous and respectful towards the other players.
If you have a problem with someone you either let me or a Rp Nation moderator know if things are that serious (Hopefully we shall never reach that point), Otherwise please just work with each-other, be respectful of each-other, and just let the bad blood be water under the bridge here in AG. You don't need any drama, and we sure as hell don't need any Drama anywhere out of character.

8. If you have been previously kicked out of AG, Please respect that and do not try and circumvent bans or harass the GM or other players.
Basically do not be an asshole, and do not go circumventing bans in any way just to get back at me or another player. In any event of this happening I WILL contact RpN admins.

9. If you plan to join, you must agree to be able to commit and keep up.
Otherwise its just a waste of time having someone join and then loosing them a week or two later.

General Guidelines

We have a Discord channel for which you may join where the group regularly hangs out!! Please Privately message me for the invite link and i'll add you in no problem!
The Discord channel is the absolute best way to get updates and information and also directly talk to me and others!

I EXPECT of everyone to read over, or at least skim over, every part of the update and everyone else's posts, even if they're not relevant immediately to them personally. It helps cancel out confusion and prevent people from needing to assault me with questions and have a general OOC awareness of whats going down IC.

Swearing is allowed. But That doesn't mean really offensive vocabulary is allowed though, you know what vocabulary I am talking about. Have some moderation and be respectful.

Regarding Characters:
You can be anything you want to. But it's a tiny bit preferable you are something humanoid or at least halfway humanoid. But not being humanoid is totally fine.
This Goes anything from a giant telepathic mantis to a good ol' mundane human being. Includes Anthros (Furries), animals, and beyond really. Be creative!

Please use a character YOU'VE created, and not something from another original work.
THIS MEANS THE CHARACTER HAS TO BE FROM AN ORIGINAL UNIVERSE YOU CREATED
They CANNOT be from something such as a videogame, other fictional work, or any sort of alternate universes from either of those that does not belong to you.
It is fine to borrow traits from popular characters or certain aspects to help piece together your character, but if it is a copy paste it will be blatantly obvious, and I will know and I will check.

This does not mean you can't use images of characters from other works to portray yours however so long as the character you show to me is yours.
TL; DR: If you use a character from another Original work or if they come from another original work, I will have to deny you.

Your Character must also have flaws and be able to develop and grow as a person.
This falls underneath the no god-modding rule, meaning no mary/gary sues or "I AM PERFECT AT EVERYTHING RESPECT MY AUTHORITY RAAHHHHH" OR minmaxing every little aspect about themselves to be extremely effective at everything.
But dont make your character so flawed either that they're completely useless or just moping or being super edgy all the time It's just going to outright annoy me and other players.

A small Bio/Backstory IS required.
It's got to be at least decent, but it DOESN'T have to be super long, a simple paragraph or two will work just fine. I find them enjoyable to read and it helps you develop your character as the roleplay continues on. It is possible for your character to suddenly start "existing", but please just give me a good reason why however if you do that.

You CAN Rejoin after you've become totally inactive given you have no ban, however keep in mind it doesn't make me particularly happy. -Major Updates are about once every week

I've Hosted Among Gods For Over 4 years now, and I hope whether you read along, or participate as a player, will enjoy Among Gods as much as I have and be able to share the passion and hardwork that I've put into this!

Introduction

“What Does it Mean to Exist? To Have a Body? A Place inside of Reality?"

This is a story of many, a story of many who come from different universes and dimensions altogether.
From hellish plains of demons and dragons in worlds of lava, Worlds and inhabitants much like Earth with sprawling metropolises and growing species and races, space faring civilizations competing against one another or a greater threat altogether in their galaxies, uninhabited worlds full of animals and plants, barren worlds inhabited by monsters and spirits, entire universes collectively merging or separating from each-other through the whims and wills of the Gods.

There is a world out there, a singular universe that is causing an uproar Among the Gods, unique individuals are being pulled into this Universe at random from their own home worlds and universes, forcing them all to be suddenly dropped into a Dangerous, blank world where they must fight to survive against Terrible, Charred Monstrosities, Greedy Gods who desire more power, the other individuals being roped into this universe, and nature itself...
However, luckily for them, there is a faction on this world who keep the peace between individuals, and protect them against the horrors that the world they're stranded on contains, and gods who invade the same universe...
Among them are Unique individuals who wield the 'Modifiers', they are powerful, crystalline diamonds which allow the creation of anything from thin air using One's stored energy, and doubly function as seeds of Godhood....
The greatest one Among them is a Woman named Elijah Almiiak, a White Wolfess who Inherited the First Modifier, and is on her way to ascend as one of the most powerful Gods in exsistance...
Because of her, The Gods outside of this Universe fight an infinite war for her own power, and against the other, more powerful Gods as well so they may make a new rule over the entirety of Reality... While the much weaker and smaller gods, invade the universe, seeking to someway obtain Elijah's growing power for themselves....
But it isn't just Elijah that will ascend... those who are with her, and wield Modifier's themselves or soon will wield one or a similar power, will Join her as God's too...

So who are you? What is Your body like? Will you take a stand along side Elijah and the Others, and eventually ascend as a Gods like them against all odds?
Or will you do all in your power to stand against them, and side with the will of the already existing Gods and individuals, who want the power of the Modifiers for themselves?

Previously, In Among Gods...

14* individuals were with us Before a sudden Mass Reality Exodus....

*1 Player has a two character duo, that will be counted as one Individual for now.

Our Heroes were all at The Safe house, a Tall stone tower protected by an ancient entity of immense power and knowledge known as The Keeper... Below and around that tower, Set up around it was The Marauder Camp, a massive camp of nomadic Individuals who were pulled into this Universe like everyone else, their ranks were many and diverse, having creatures and people form many different universes all working together under the Command of Elijah, The Woman Among Gods...

All of them worked together to survive in this hostile, barren world that was consistently getting more dangerous as Charred, horrendous monstrosities known as The Tortured, rise and make their way to the surface, gaining frightening organization and specialization to their infinite forms of horror and leathality as time goes on, along with the threat of the Gods, who are after the objects which has brought Elijah, and our unique Individuals to power, and will soon bring them all to Godhood, The Modifiers... Crystalline Diamonds capable of creating anything that it's user desires using it's own stored, rechargeable and increase-able energy....

Night has engulfed the world as our Heroes locate themselves All Around the marauder Camp and the Tower...

Chris, The Kitsune...

Jourin, (He who calls forth) The Living Flame...

and Coils, The Snake...

Were conversing with The Keeper, about the sudden organization and specialties the Tortured were achiveing that had never been seen before by them....

Coatl, The Pharoh...

and Byron, the Frostbitten Reaper...

Were with Delphi, The Second In Command, headed down to the nearby beach while talking about their pasts....

Kalos, The Weaver...

Jaik, The Assassin...

Mei, The Huntress...

Seih, The Reclusive Psychic...

Noah, The Arkadian...

Ged, The Gleeman...

And Elijah, the Woman Among Gods...

Were all on top of the Tower/The Safehouse, were all discussing different topics and conversations along their own accords in groups or Relaxing by themselves, looking up at the bright, Stary sky above them....

W-R54, the GentleBot...

Errg, The Fishman...

Misfortune, The Spider Fiend...

and Thorn, The Small horse...

Were all going about their own accords down within the Marauder camp, seeking repairs, Magic, training, and scouting about the camp...

For now... Most have Seeked out places to sleep and rest themselves...

The night passes... and they shall wake up to a new Day...

Chapter 10: A New Day

Beginning of Thread 2... and onwards to a new reality...

Major Update #1

Chris: You wake up to a beam of sunlight shining through the small hole in your wall, lighting up the private stone room you claimed for yourself.

Rubbing your eyes as you sat up groggily in your bed/cot/sleeping bag, you saw your armor and equipment in one of the far corners of the room, all nicely neat and organized waiting for you to put back on, except your Modifier, which was next to you during the entire night, silently radiating it's small amount of Warmth and trippy static like Aura.

The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the Third floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the rising sun to the east, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center.

As you got dressed and equipped your gear, you begun to remember last night, You were with Jourin and Coils talking to the Keeper about Possible theories at what was controlling or orchestrating the Tortured, with the most likely theory being that the Warden was somehow still alive or someone else was continuing his dirty work...

After that though you all decided to go to bed for the most part, you thankfully managed to squeeze in a shower before bed at one of the Camp's public showers down below before heading up here and creating yourself a bed with your own modifier.

As you equipped the last of your gear, you took a peek outside of your window, seeing that the sun has just barely escaped the horizon, meaning it must still have been early int he morning.

Pressing the button on the wall opposite of the window, the wall itself phases out of sight revealing a whole circle of buttons lined up adjacently to each other in a large kind of "hub" chamber, the center being lit up by a silent, glowing blue orb, just enough to see without the sunlight coming from your room.

It seems like nobody else has woken up just yet judging from all the closed walls still.

So What shall you do?

You don't quite remember whose room is which, but you'd probably Guess breakfast was being served down at the camp right now, but then again you could easily make yourself something nice with your modifier and eat here instead if you so desired.

Jaik and Coils: Darkness filled your guys's empty room... you still haven't gotten rid of the drapes that were over your window, which only prevented most of the sunlight outside from lighting your room up...

You both remember last night's events as you woke up from your slumbers...

Coils was conversing with the Keeper, Chris, and Jourin about Tortured theories while Jaik was Conversing with that Kalos fellow and some others on the Safehouse's roof one level above your heads.

The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the Third floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the rising sun to the east which was covered by the drapes you put up awhile ago, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center that lead out to a sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's rooms here on the two residence floors..

Even though You both had originally intended on doing a few more things before bed, you both ultimately ended up retreating back here to rest yourselfs for the night.

As you both woke yourselves up, you both thought about possible breakfast and maybe seeing who else was awake... what shall you do?

Seih: You begin to wake yourself up from whatever form of sleep your race achieves/substitutes for rest inside this stone, trapezoid shaped cubicle that you were given.

Light reached inwards from the crude window that was in the wall, lighting up your room's empty interior.

You remember the events of last night and what happened when you first go here yesterday... Before everyone went to sleep, you were about to have a conversation with that Satyr Woman Mei, and the White Wolfess Elijah on the roof of this tower, but for some inexplicable reason you and everyone else felt the need to rest/go to sleep, and you were directed to The trapezoid shaped stone room you were now inside of.

If you remember Correctly, this was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the second floor rooms, (1st floor for you europeans)), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the rising sun to the east, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center that lead out to a sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's rooms here on the two residence floors.

As you woke up your own body, which desired some sustenance or something you believe, you could feel Several minds around you within the building also beginning to wake up.... what shall you do?

Noah: You began to wake up inside of a Stone Room, a Window on the longest side of the wall shined in sunlight. Rubbing your eyes grogilly as you sat up from the sleeping bag that was provided to you by those Marauder people around the tower you remembered you were inside of.

You recall the events of yesterday night of being suddenly transported into a new world without warning, being planted smack dab right into the top of this tower and meeting all sorts of new people all of the Sudden...

If you recall, you were conversing with that small little Seih fellow before you and everyone else suddenly decided to get some rest and sleep...

As you got up, you saw your belongings in one of the rooms corners, you remembering unequipping them all the night before bed as you walked over to get them all back on.

As you did so, You also begin to recall where you were exactly...

The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house, or Tower Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the second floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the rising sun to the east which was covered by the drapes you put up awhile ago, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center that lead out to a sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's rooms here on the two residence floors..

Around this tower was the Marauder camp which you still have had yet to explore, if you remember they were all being led by that bossy cat Woman and that One White Wolfess who you think was on the roof of this tower with their tent...

Your stomach growled a little as you finished suiting back up and rolling your sleeping bag back up, looking out your small window seeing the amssive, grassy plains going forever into the distance to the west...

You'd imagine the others would probably be waking up around this time too, as you heard the Marauder camp below getting busy as well...

What shall you do?

Errg: You felt the warmth of the sun reach your cold body as you opened your eyes... Seeing the waves gently flow above you and splitting apart the sun's light upon your cold body.

You had almost thought you were back home as you sat up and looked around at the barren, underwater sands all around you...

Unlike the others, you opted to come over to the nearby ocean south of the large camp and tower and sleep underwater rather then suffer dry air in one of those dusty Stone rooms all night...

The ocean waters were comforting to you... but they were still not the same as the waves back home...

As you grogilly woke up, you began to swim back up to the surface with a growling in your stomach, breaking the water as you lazily walked up the beach recalling yesterday's events...

You were suddenly thrown into this world without warning, and was forcibly paired with some jerkish land dwellers and then pitted against some disgusting charred thing that was being a pain in your ass, but that one woman was nice enough to help you out and granted you a sword with a blade who's edges always seemed scorching hot...

Speaking of the weapon, you look around the beach and spot the blade in it's scabbard, planted right where you left it last night. Good to know nobody is gonna attempt to steal anything from you in the near future you thought as you pulled it out of the sand, and equipped the sword with it's scabbard onto your waist. For some reason though, while you meant to go and practice with the weapon last night out here, you ended up going to sleep instead for some odd reason you couldn't explain as you faced towards the Large Marauder camp and Tower to the north, the mountains and forests far behind them created a nice image for some pretty wall furnishings...

Anyways, Aside from thinking about pictures to put onto walls to look pretty, As much as you'd prefer to hunt in a completely barren sea for some non-exsistant, exotic otherworldly fish, you needed something to satiate yourself, and all those land dwelling people were the only source of food right now, and from the commotion you heard coming from the camp as you walked towards it, they were very likely beginning to serve their foods.

No doubt all those other people you were with on top of that tower were starting to wake up as well... mayhaps you would go and find one of them to eat with rather then going straight for food?

What shall you do?

Thorn: You groaned as you began to wake up, finding yourself sitting face down at a wooden table inside of a musky tent...

You groggily began to wake yourself up as you looked around, seeing a bunch of strange cards on the table in front of you with all sorts of weird insignias and symbols upon them... The tent itself had a couple of hammocks hanging around with nobody in them and a few small chests that no doubtly contained some people's personal belongings and some other assorted equipment here and there like a Marauder suit of armor in one corner... but on one of the small chests/footlockers you couldn't help but notice it had a note written on it saying "DONT TOUCH MY SHIT VIZARA!! -R"... You could only guess who that was addressed to at this point...

But the more important matter at hand was Did you seriously fall asleep here...? While that Lizard man was trying to teach you magic...?

Dang it... You think to yourself as you get your face off the table and get onto the grassy floor...

You double check all of your belongings and find yourself relieved to have everything accounted for still...

Did.. you grow a beard overnight as well...? Holy crap, what the hell HAPPENED last night anyways?!

The Magical lizard was nowhere to be seen inside the tent here as you heard the busy morning commotion of the Marauder camp outside... You could only assume it was morning right now and everyone was just beginning to get breakfast it seemed like as you heard breakfast bells sounding here and there...

You could only assume all the others were starting to get up too now back at the tower as you exited the tent, seeing the bright morning sun lighting up the land behind the tall tower as the Marauders all went about their business...

You'd probably be able to find that Lizard fellow again at the same place hopefully, but you're not too sure.. your stomach growled a little bit as you began walking around, making a mental note of where the tent you were just in was...

What Shall you do?

Time Taken: About 3 and a half hours for the first Update here on RpNation!

Word Count: About 2200 words.

Player Count: 6 Players currently accounted for, still waiting on at least 7-9 Other players unfortunately

Seih blinks as he slowly wakes himself from his regenerative trance, progressively re-activating his body functions. Getting to his feet, he walks over to the window and looks out, leaning against the edge to peer out. Deciding to ignore his hunger for now, he disables the signals coming from his stomach and looks over the events of the past night. What happened exactly? It was as if a spell was cast on us. Must have been extremely subtle, I didn't detect it at all. Looking over the encampment below, Seih wonders what everyone is busying themselves with. What had happened while they were resting?

While his eyes seek to understand what is going on outside, his mind reaches out to the others he detects nearby. Surface examinations reveal that everyone seems to be waking up as well, most of them in a state of slight confusion over what exactly had happened. It seems a few of them are on this floor, including Noah, but many others are missing. Perhaps they are located elsewhere within the camp.

Deciding it would be unwise to ignore the hunger for much longer, Seih takes out a phial from his coat, uncorks it and takes a sip, still gazing out at the landscape before him, admiring the effect of the sun's rays on the landscape. Shuddering as the potent mixture takes effect, Seih replaces the cork and pockets the phial, then sits down on the floor once more in a variation of the tailor position. His entire body shakes as it is re-energized, and he closes his eyes as he feels the drink's refreshing sweep over his mind. As its effects start to wear off, his eyes suddenly open wide with realization.

I managed to stay sane. All that time. I've never done that before.

Was it just a fluke, though? Perhaps he had still been under the effects of shock, and hadn't entirely realized how sociable he was being. Even now, as he thinks it over once more, he can feel the old fear returning, the fear of losing control. His breathing becomes more ragged at the thought, and he quickly stops the passive outreach of his mind and retreats within his own. Scurrying over to a corner of the room, he huddles himself into a ball as he tries to calm himself down, looking worriedly at the strange door this place has.

Maybe I should stay up here. For now. No need to rush. No need.

Chris groggily thinks about the current situation. He was still pretty sleepy, there was a raid/search party to organize, and someone or something had just decided to go and put everyone to bed at the same time. Also that same thing got him in his armor before he could consider sleeping in more... it probably wasn't something that was a huge deal unless today they found out things had gone missed or been messed with while everyone had slept.

He considered just going down to get food and maybe some coffee.... or... he looked back at his bed. Or he could just sleep in more... in his armor, like not he really felt like caring at the moment...

Though, whatever it was that guided him into his armor probably appreciate that... probably should take the hint.

Chris let out a wide yawn as he stepped out into the hub room, using his modifier to conjure up a simple wooden chair with a padded seat to sit on as he waited for the other to make their way out into the hub room.

the almighty Ferociousfeind has returned, and stronger than before, with the power of fancy snivy!

Misfortune assumes he's asleep, and goes back to sleep...?

Thorn munched on a skewered rabbit from the mess hall, and kept an eye out for the lizard wizard. He'll be back, but not until night. "Got some time to kill...what to do..." A random marauder bumped into him, a long gun slung onto his shoulder. Seriously dude, watch it. "Wait, I could use a gun." Thorn followed after the marauder, a canine-woman with black armor, eyeing his scoped rifle. You should stay here, wait for the lizard wizard. "I'll be back, I just want to try it." Alright, just don't jump the gun. ".....No."

Errg starts jogging towards the camp and then starts to run but falls over after a few steps. He'd need to get used to moving fast on land, he very rarely even walked in his homeland. The fishman groans to himself, gets up, and brushes the dirt off his scales before resuming his trek back to camp. As soon as he gets there, the first thing he does is look for whoever's giving out food.

Seih takes a deep breath to calm himself down, then gets up again. It was becoming obvious to him that he couldn't stay here. That much was certain. Everybody looked nice and friendly, but from what the Keeper had been saying, it seemed like they would be spending several weeks, if not months together. Perhaps he could grow accustomed to their company eventually, perhaps they could all even become good friends one day. Perhaps. But Seih had never left his life up to chance, and he wasn't about to start now. Sooner or later, the presence of so many other minds around him would become too much for him, and he would break.

This probably wouldn't be dangerous to those around him, of course. They all seemed rather capable of defending themselves. But how would they react if they saw him go through one of his bouts of insanity? He wouldn't blame them for attacking him, or even killing him to protect themselves. And so, for his safety, and the safety of others, he had to leave.

Now. How would I do that?

Seih looks out his window again. He could easily crawl through it, but... Seih gulps. That was a nasty distance to fall from. Even with his powers, he doubts he'd be able to fall that high (and this was only the second level!). The window isn't an option. He turns back to face the room's equivalent of a door, and sighs.

Okay. I don't sense anybody outside the room right now, not on this level at least. So that should be easy. And if someone does come along, I'm just going out for a stroll. I'm not a prisoner, right? I can do that... Sure. Just a stroll in the woods. Because I miss my home's forests. It's true, it's just not the whole truth.

Still feeling bad for the half-truth in his head, Seih activates the door and steps through into the hub, looking around. Good. I was worried the mechanical creature might have been there already.

Pulling up his cloak's hood over his head, he starts walking down the stairs at a normal pace, taking his time. Sensing a few people from the camp approaching, he freezes, then resumes his walk as they appear around the corner of the stairs. Continuing his progress as nonchalantly as he can manage, the guards seem to ignore him completely, and he breathes a silent sight of relief. Reaching the bottom, he finds more guards around him, and even thinks he sees the Keeper down a corridor, but none of them seem to be concerned with him, and so he exits the tower as discreetly as possible.

Once outside, he groans and puts a hand to his head. There are a lot more people out here, which means a lot more minds. Ignoring the din in his head, and the rising feeling of uneasiness, he spots what appears to be an exit of the camp and starts walking towards it, keeping to the sides of the path and trying to not get too noticed. The forest seems like a good idea - he had seen it from his room's window. He'd be able to live there, at least for a while until he figured out a more permanent solution.

Almost at the exit now. So far, so good. Surely, they wouldn't try to stop him now?

(Oh holy crap didn't even notice the post I'm here don't worry posting NOW)

Jaik, after getting all of his shit together (He sorta spaced out there for a while... He's not exactly a morning person) nods to Coils, who disappears down the hallway. Curious to see the exits and entrances of the Tower (he retired too early yesterday to really get a feel for the place - if it gets under sudden attack, he'll need to know everything about it) he starts looking around, and makes it outside. Before actually taking that much of a look around, he starts to move back in, and then freezes. A figure, moving toward the forest at the far end of the clearing.

Seih.

He whips his cloak around him, and looks back to the tower, and then to the quickly receding person. No time to get Coils; if he's still poking around his head at this point, he'll know what Jaik's up to and where he's gone.

Unconsciously reverting back to the old Jaik - moving with the wind to disguise his movement, crouching and standing still when/if Seih looks back, lightening his footfalls to not press on the grass too much and breathing much more softly, he remains around five-ten feet behind this person at all times.

Coils slithers out into the Hub room, nods to Chris, and waits for someone to take a rather important or large amount of action. He wonders where the naga - Coatl, was his name? - went off to. He'll probably be here soon...

Major Update #2!

Chris: You step out into the third floor Hub Room, everyone else still assumingly asleep as you yawn and take a seat with a chair you Flash into exsistance with Your Static like modifier... You wait to see who emerges from their rooms here on the third floor... (Read Other's things here and their responses!)

Errg: You wake yourself up as you take a short Jog towards the Marauder Camp, getting your blood pumping and practicing Moving quickly here on land...

You're stopped by one of those marauder soldiers before you get to the Border of the camp, but after a quick examination of you from afar they recognize you and let you into camp without incident...

As you enter the busy camp you smell the stenches of the busy camp as you move through the busy crowds and people moving around doing chores or whatever their errands were, everything was all just like it was yesterday night... You wonder to yourself how all these people have become so organized in this barren world, especially when there's no obvious sources of food around to hunt or gather for this many people let alone how diverse their ranks were between otherworldy aliens and Lots of Mundane "human" people and the many variants of animal like people too...

You soon pick up the smell of freshly cooked meat nearby as you near the Large Tower in the center of the camp, detecting the smell in the north side of camp... You begin to blend into one of the crowds as you all travel towards the northern part of camp. You notice only a few people kinda move away from you, no doubltly because of your appearance, but everyone else don't seem to care you're around and that you're just another part of the camp...

Neverminding those people, you reach the north part of camp where you see some rather large lines que'd up for several different food tents you notice, and when most people get their food by the looks of it they funnel out into the large grassy social area you now stood in, or go back somewhere else to eat...

You guess if everyone else has to wait, you've got to too, and you know full well most these people are armed with all sorts of weapons, so demanding food immediately likely wouldn't get you anywhere...

You get in line for one of the tents serving meats, picking up a crude tray of sorts as you wait for it to slowly move up. Hopefully this shouldn't be very long...

As you wait you find yourself standing next to some sort of lizard man with a cloak and a limp wizards hat, his face seems very charismatic despite being all scaly and lizard like you notice as you examine him...

"You like Magic tricks?" He asks you, without even looking at you...

Oh boy... where is this going to go you wonder...

Do you respond?

Thorn: After waiting for like, half an hour to get your food thanks to long ass lines, you sit out in the area where everyone was socializing and eating their food, keeping your eye out for the Lizard Wizard. You don't spot him anywhere amongst the crowd or in the lines for food...

A marauder Accidentally bumps into you on her way out of the area to go back to her work. The Dixon faced woman apologizes briefly before continuing on without paying you any mind as you think to yourself about the rifle slung over her shoulder.

You follow them for a brief time before you loose them somewhere in the crowds or a tent, probably to never been seen again or something foreboding like that...

However at the corner of your eye you see a crate of weapons peeking from a large tent nearby... You wonder...

Do you investigate?

Misfortune: You roll around in your sleep for a little longer, dreaming a few reams here and there...

However, you feel a sharp pain being slammed right into the side of your face, waking you up in a panic within your stone room, pointing your magical dagger around the room as you clenched your other hand onto your modifier with sweat coming off your body... [Wait... do spiders even sweat?]

The side of your face hurts as you looked around to see nothing in the room with you as Light from the morning sun shined in through the window in the wall... it felt distinctly like you were slapped on the face, you have no idea why, but something in your mind tells you it was something about posting something without getting an approval for something first...

Anyways, you recall the events of last night and where you were...

You remember about a day ago you were transported here by Some planet sized Dragon god on a mission to go after That White Wolf Girl's modifier, which you're still working on... After becoming part of their group you and the others fought a bunch of those awful awful charred monstrosities.. you fought with the Fawn woman and that other dragon guy against some gods and won... then you guys were at the tower and fought some more of those awful charred things... then you scouted around the camp and got an idea of where everything was before you mysteriously wen to bed with everyone else for no reason...

The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the Third floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the light from outside shone in and lit your room up, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center... and right outside your door was as sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's room's too and then the stairs to the south...

Your stomach Growled a little as you went about waking yourself up, you could hear the commotion/busyness of the marauder camp down below, you could only assume it was breakfast time right now.... you could perhaps easily make something for yourself with your Modifier, or you could go and try out what this camp has to offer...

Maybe while you're at it you'll socialize with some of the others here in the tower... What shall you do?

Kalos: You grogilly wake up from yet another restless night... Even in a different Universe the curses which were placed upon you still have power on you even here....

You sit up and yawn in your sleeping bag that was provided to you by the Marauders in the Camp around the Tower here.

You could hear the commotion going on outside in the camp below through the window in your room, they sound as busy as ever down there as you got yourself properly dressed and retrieved your equipment from where you placed it last night before bed...

For some reason last night everyone mysteriously decided to go to bed including you, no idea why but it seems like everyone's still either alseep or waking up like you are right now...

You recall the events of yesterday, being suddenly pulled here to this world by some unknown means, being stuck with a whole bunch of strange people who are way different form you form other universes/realities, then being pitted against those horrible "Tortured" for some reason by that Keeper...

You also remember The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the seccond floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the light from outside shone in and lit your room up, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center... and right outside your door was as sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's room's too and then the stairs to the south...

Anyways, you felt your stomach grumble and you were still pretty groggy with sleep, but you were now dressed and ready to go out and get something to eat down at the camp or maybe socialize with some fo the people in the tower here too...

What shall you do?

Koya and Danielle: You Both Shoot up wide awake after that terrible dream you just both had.... Rubbing your hand on your collective foreheads as a headache pounded at both of your minds...

League of Legends..? The hell were both of you even dreaming about....

Either way, looking about you both notice you were inside one of the tents of the marauder camp, specifically your own private tent as nobody else has roomed with you.

As you got up and got dressed out of your cot, you both recalled the previous two years days, where you haven't done all that much besides get to know eachother and figure out how to Share Danielle's body here after getting away from that damned infested Ship... working as a civilian amongst the Marauder Camp led by Elijah and the others... you both heard the morning commotion of the camp around your tent as you opened a nearby footlocker with some of Danielle's personal belongings inside of it. Koya still hasn't revealed himself to anybody that he was riding along with Danielle here... and considering the possible consequences, neither of you were sure whether or not to carry something like that out....

It was breakfast time you both knew as you saw people going towards the north side of camp through a crack in your tent's entrance...

Still no pieces of Koya's Modifier have been retrieved yet sadly... however both of you remember hearing a rumor last night a Marauder found a Orange/Cyan shard of crystal somewhere while out scouting... and if that was a part of Koya's Modifier it'd be important to retrieve that as soon as possible you both knew...

As you exited your personal tent, you headed towards the North side of camp where food was being served, part of the way you blended into a crowd along with some sort of fishman who was headed his way to the food stands too very obviously, and you did your best to avoid him because of that nasty, angler fish look it had... and the fact he had a sword sheathed to his side....

After your group makes it to the northern social area where everyone ate their food usually and the fishman wanders off to the meats section, you consider what you both desire to eat and what shall you do before or after...

What shall the both of you do?

Coatl: You rise from a groggy slumber, a dull pain emanating from your tail as you sit up, waking up to your window shining in rays of light from the rising sun to the east...

You recall the events of yesterday, a day so long it's hard to remember you feel... you were at home before you were taken to this strange new world... greeted by the men and women who were with you here int he tower that you now could call friends... The White Wolfess Elijah, The Satyr Mei, Jaik and Coils, Jourin and Delphi... and many other new arrivals who had arrived to this place only yesterday evening.

You heard the commotion of the Marauder camp down below, picking up where they left off last night in all of their duties and socialization like a popular trading village Out in the desert sands...

You checked the wound on your tail... still bandaged and bloody from the wound you received last night. Its no doubt going to take a little while for this to heal unless you get someone with one of those Modifiers to help you out.... But you do not want to feel like you were disrespecting that Cat woman... Delphi, for treating your wound traditionally as it is... and if you knew anything from the previous day, she was not one you were to disrespect normally...

You remembered where you were....

The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the Third floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the light from the sun shone in and lit your room up, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center... and right outside your door was as sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's room's too and then the stairs to the south...

Your stomach growled a little bit in hunger, demanding to be fed after a day like yesterday... for some reason, you cannot remember why you and literally everyone else decided to go and sleep so suddenly like you all did... Either way, it was irrelevant as you looked at the Flamberge in the corner of your room, still basically brand new and shining even after the Tortured you killed last night...

Anyways, from what you judged was going on down int eh marauder camp you heard, it was breakfast time and most people were eating, you may as well not miss out... but this is also an opportunity to socialize with everyone else who was in the tower with you... what shall you do?

Mei: You open your eyes to find yourself staring a cold stone ceiling, light flooding into the room from the window in the wall. You yawn as you sit up in your bed that you conjured up with your Modifier, having had a well deserved good night's rest after everyone mysteriously all decided to go to sleep for some reason.

You saw your Equipment and Your scythe Leaning on the wall opposite of you, right where you left it the previous night and the Modifier within the Scythe looking to be at Full charge.

You wonder who else is up right now besides the Marauder camp you can hear down below, they must have been serving breakfast right now. Thankfully you could just conjure up whatever it was you desired to eat with your modifier as you got up and got yourself equipped for the day, recalling the events of last night, remembering the Keeper Pitting most of those new comers against upgraded Tortured for some reason....

You also remember you were going to have a conversation with Elijah, but then you all decided to go and sleep for some reason...

You wonder if she was Awake right now back in her tent on the roof of this tower....

Although that thought is quickly overridden as You also remember The trapezoid shaped stone room you were in was one of the Safe-house Residences the Keeper held for you and the rest of the crew here on the Third and second floor of the safe-house (you were on the Third floor rooms), the longer side of the room had the window facing outwards towards outside and the light from outside shone in and lit your room up, while the smaller side was just one big door that phased in and out magically whenever you pressed the button on it's center... and right outside your door was as sort of "hub" room with the doors to everyone else's room's and then the stairs to the south...

So what shall you go and do? Socialize with the others for bit while eating or maybe go and see Elijah about that conversation last night?

Seih:
After a little bit of debating with yourself, you take a rather stressful walk out of the tower and into the camp. The Keeper greets you as you pass by him in his chamber on the Ground floor doing some strange things with magical symbols in the Air... As you find your way around the Marauder camp, You do your best to avoid being tripped over by several people either carrying things or running errands, whenever you did bump into someone or nearly trip them, you profusely apologized and kept on going hoping they wouldn't care too much.

Which they thankfully don't are you begin to reach the border of the north part of camp... Stepping out into the open plains, hopefully now clear to continue onwards...

"Hey, where are you going?"

You freeze as you hear a Marauder call you out here in the outskirts of the camp, he was no doubt one of the people on outside patrol of the camp.

You watch as the Lightly armored, black suited man with a a marksmen's rifle approach you.

"What are you doin' out here lil one? Where the rest of your party? You know the only thing out there is those monsters are roaming around out there right?"

How shall you respond?

Jaik, and Coils: There isn't much in terms of exploring the tower.. the Ground/First Floor is where the Keeper does all his weird things in a giant empty room and has the only door outside of the Marauder camp. Otherwise the next two floors of the tower is jsut basically rooms for you and the rest of the Crew while new arrivals come in at the roof in front of Elijah's tent... Other then the windows in each individual's room, there's not much at all to explore.

Anyways, you get outside the tower, greeting the Keeper as you pass by him, and take some time to explore the camp and maybe take a look at the surrounding views of the Camp, when you get back to the tower, Coils could hopefully make something for both of...

You notice Seih trying to make a hasty get away from the camp as you watch him try his best notn to be noticed by people throughout the camp...

You begin to blend into the crowds and follow him till he eventually hits the outskirts where you wait to put some distance between Seih and yourself before using the wind to conceal yourself... which in reality isn't very stealthy at all since he could easily just look back and see you out in the open just like him...

You watch as he's called out by a Marauder on Patrol, being asked some questions... what shall you do?

Noah:
You still remain in your room! What shall you do? (Refer to the previous Update please!)

Time Taken: About 4 and a half hours strangely enough

Word Count: About 3200 words!

Player Count: [/b]11 Players currently accounted for, still missing at least 4 People from Exodus.

Kalos, even if he is a bit disoriented, still feels intense relief that his horrific nightmares are just that: Nightmares. He may get dismembered by creatures with spikes for hands and 15 mouths filled with literal sawblades, but at least it's only happening in his head. As he stands up, straightening out his suit, he distantly recalls a song a friend of his had written, a long-ass time back. One that rather distinctly summed up his mental state at the moment. And hey, what better way to get out that joy of being alive than song?

"I'm feeling kinda lost!" He begins, picking up his violin case and beginning to play along to the lyrics. "A world that used to seem so small! I could wrap my arms around it!"

Kalos enters the hub with a flourish, arms spread wide. "Now it seems really biii-" Kalos notices Chris, and stares at the fox-man awkwardly. "Uh... how much did you hear?"

Coatl slowly stretched, awakening from his languid stupor. In slithering over to acquire his flamberge, Coatl noticed the pain in his tail. He decided it would be best to leave it to heal from Delphi's care. She worked hard on it and although Coatl was suspicious of this small army (I mean who that believes they are righteous would name themselves "Marauders"?) he could tell Delphi was still loyal to her morals. That was something Coatl respected.

"It feels so strange being this high above ground. It looks like someone or something cleaned my blade as well."

Coatl would search around his room for hidden passages, specifically around the flamberge, or anything of suspicion.

If he failed in this, Coatl would wait in the main hall of his floor (3rd floor) for people to come out. That way he wouldn't get too lost. He did not want to miss breakfast.

Jaik acts immediately, not giving time for Seih to respond.

"It's okay, he's with me. Hi, I'm Jaik, part of the elite group of people that met with the Keeper inside. We're on a scouting mission; the fewer questions asked, the better."

He takes a moment to look at Seih, taking in everything about him - the worry in his eyes, the fidgeting - and realizes that he may have stumbled upon someone trying to leave.

He also scans the Marauder. Suited in black, with a marksmen's rifle... He treats that thing very well. Recently polished. This man is a soldier.

Jaik isn't above using that. He leans in closely.

"Between you and me, dude? That guy's scary. I saw him rip the appendages clean off of a Tortured - and he yelled, like howling, at the moon in the middle of it - really freaky, especially coming from one as small as him. We're on our way to kill a dragon, and I have a feeling he could eviscerate us both by now. Thanks for patrolling, but you have my, Elijah's, and Delphi's word that we're here on business. But between soldiers? I'm not protecting him - he's protecting me."

He leans back out, standing tall again. He and this soldier were about evenly heighted.

"Thanks, for keeping such a careful eye out there. We need more people like you under our troop."

He gives a smile for good measure.

Coils glances at Kalos from the corner.

"Not sure about him, but me? I heard the whooole thing. That's a nice voice you got there. And violin."

He smirks, perhaps predator-like, at Kalos. He then winks at Chris.

Kalos starts a bit at Coils' comment, but relaxes. "Eh, no big deal... Just feeling good today, considering that my horrible nightmare about getting my limbs torn off was all in my head. I just... don't tend to sing too often is all."

Kalos places violin back in its case and shrugs. A short time later, a single bright blue feather falls out of his pant-leg and hits the ground.

(X,O mah face! ...this is what I get when I throw patience out the window... Atleast it's not permanent- wait, my intelligence stat just dropped...? :P )

Misfortune follows the commotion to the camp, and see what everyone's up to, and what strange new foods there are to get used to... "So... What'd I miss...?"

(Suddenly, I am having trouble posting on a different forum or something... Yolo)

Mini Update #1

This is a experimental, smaller "update" to slowly move people along and make the roleplay more accessible to people through making conversations and moving battle forward, things like that! Therefore these are optional to respond to shall you be mentioned in there little mini updates

Seih and Jaik: The Marauder doesn't look one bit Impressed as he stares you both down.

"Gee, Thanks." He says rather sarcastically as he reaches for a small communication device on his wrist before talking into it.

"Uhh, Sub-Commander is there supposed to be a Scouting party this morning of two people?" He talks into it, you both begin to slowly inch away from the marauder.

"No? Why?" You both hear a familiar voice over the device.

"Well uh i've got these two-"

You both very hastily excuse yourselves and quickly get away from the Marauder together, heading towards the Immense forests still a ways north.

Now what?

Coatl: You search around your room for hidden passages.

Just a wall, another wall, a wall with a window, and the door. Nothing around your weapon either.

Anyways, you move out into the Third floor hub room where your room was located, you see Chris, Kalos, and Coils in the room here. Mayhaps you wish to socialize with them?

Misfortune: Your still in your room... remember? (Refer back to the Major update please.)

Errg hated having to wait in this stupid line like some city folk drone and he was gripping his tray so tightly his knuckles were turning white. His irritation was practically palpable, and this lizard fuck trying to show him something stupid made him want to bite the floppy-hatted guy's face off. Probably would be a more satisfying way to get lunch. But he doesn't want to get in trouble with the soldiers around him so he holds himself steady and stares forward, although he can't help but make a low, rumbling growl. "No, hate them. You make a sea otter or some other small animal come out your hat, or something else stupid, you better be a fast runner." Errg isn't much of a morning person, or a fan of lines, or parlor tricks, or being hungry.

Ah, Jaik thinks to himself. I must be out of practice.

"Sorry, man, I tried. Mind explaining what you were doing sneaking into the forest before anyone saw you? Out of curiosity, not interrogation; I understand that people sometimes want to be left alone. But, uh... My experience? Pushing others away has brought me nothing but a dead family, a ruined world, a zombie infestation, and a genocidal dragon zombie."

He looks around.

"Got me here, though, so it can't be all that bad."

"Odd, nobody is watching the tent..." The guards might be held up in those long, long lines. Thorn looked around, and found that nobody was paying him any attention. "Now's my chance." He nonchalantly walked to the tent, and ducked in. Smells funny...but I'm pretty sure no ones here either. He approached the crate in question. It was long and metal, and had a strange 4 character code on it. Registration perhaps? Probably. One last nervous glance around, and he hefted the lid open.

Seih had been surprised when Jaik had suddenly appeared behind and started covering for him, but he had shown no outward signs of his surprise - one of the upshots of having to manage every single part of your brain was that you rarely had involuntary reactions. It seemed to work, anyway, and they were now on their way to the forest.

Turning to look up at Jaik, Seih frowns and crosses his arms.

"You didn't have to lie. I could have explained myself." Seih pauses, then adds in a less remonstrative tone, "But thank you. I... really needed to leave."

Leaning his back against a small nearby rock, Seih closes his eyes and breathes a sigh of relief. "Much better. It's so quiet here." He opens his eyes, and if Jaik is observant he can see that Seih's electric blue eye has become noticeably darker, closer in tone to his other eye, yet still distinct. "You do deserve an explanation though, after helping me out like that. You know what you told the guard earlier, about me? That was closer to the truth than you might think. I have a disease - most of my people have it, in some way, but I have it worse than many. When I get upset, I lose control, and when I lose control..."

A temporary memory slowly forms itself in Jaik's mind. It is seen from Seih's perspective. It flashes through Jaik's consciousness in less than a second before being gone, but the events take course over several minutes. Jaik can see a younger Seih start to cry over something while standing in front of another, similar member of his species, who looks at him confusedly. Then, Seih's vision starts to blur and dim, as he stops crying and begins growling, before launching himself bodily at the Keir in front of him, clawing and pummelling him, using his psychic abilities to augment his strength. The other Keir is quickly bloodied and unconscious, and a trio of adults eventually bursts in, one of which grabs Seih and tries to pull him away. Seih struggles and tries to bite him, then begins conjuring up unusually strong darts with which he attacks his captor. Being younger and untrained, however, his attacks mostly miss their mark, and another adult quickly knocks him out before he can do any more damage as the memory fades into darkness and disappears from Jaik's mind.

"I can't stay around others," Seih concludes. "I'm a liability to them and myself. I could feel myself slipping away earlier - I can't continue to run that risk. So I have to leave. Do you see?"

(hrmmm...)

Misfortune leaves his room and travels down the tower stairs to the camp below, where he follows the commotion to wherever everyone is. He asks what everyone is doing, "so, how's everyone's morning so far?"

Those were some fun dreams... saving the universe with you is a riot.

Are we sharing

dreams

now? I have no privacy in here anymore!

I didn't like the bit about the god ascendancy, though. Which of our subconsciousnesses came up with that?

It can't have been mine. I've only had 'dreams' since you came here and polluted everything.

I mean, I know power has it's consequences, but it seemed like a warning...

Do you even listen to what I say?

I can't

not

hear you. Your head's too small for your brain. How do you do all this science?

By paying attention. For instance; Subject: Koyaanis' behaviour rates highest in every criterion for being a moron. Salvation: Hopeless.

Yeah yeah Koyaanis бычить кон педални...

I ban you from dirtying my mindspace with your tongue - and your pronunciation is atrocious.

I'll do what I like with my tongue. For instance...

Koyaanis, feeling Danielle was about to run out of patience, changes tack

...let's get some food.

With the memories of last's nights dreams leaving the pair unsettled, they dress (one of the few activities during which Koyaanis will respectfully be quiet) and leave the tent for the campfires to the north.

Crikey, I've never seen an aquatic orc before.

I think their name is "Ehrgh". Arrived yesterday while you were daydreaming.

If you've got webbed hands, do you really

need

bowls?

Your trains of thought are all so remarkably inane.

Joining a small group of marauders passing around a map, they learn the scouting teams are getting luckier as they learn the terrain. "What's that? A modifier shard? Are you sure?" The marauder shrugs, it wasn't them that reported it.

They could've just brought it back and saved everyone the time of retrieving it.

Do you go around picking up glowing dangerous magic objects? Don't even answer that. I'll need to study it if I am going to get anywhere understanding this world.

Make that we. I'm just as invested in working out what the blazes makes this universe tick as you are. Also my modifier was the best.

It was the most powerful?

No, it has the coolest colours.

...

Danielle thanks the marauder and taking a cup of broth they go in search of the source of the report.

Kalos looks down at the blue feather before quickly sweeping it up and jamming it into a pocket. Doesn't seem like they noticed...

"So, anyways, what's going on, weird snake individual?"

Meilikki woke quickly and quietly. She felt that she had overslept a bit but judging by the chattering sounds below in the camp there was no need to rush, things were calm for the first time in a while. She donned her armor and grabbed her scythe and headed downstairs. While she could make her own food she figured it was best to conserve energy and if everyone else was going to take their time eating she may as well do the same.

Mei glanced towards Elijah's tent as she exited the tower but continued over to the food tents and waited in line with the rest of the marauders. She carried her tray with one hand and kept her scythe in the other, the unease in the crowd around her was obvious. After receiving her meal she rested her weapon against the table and sat down in silence.
