There once was peace. No fear, no conflict among us that we could not work it out.
At least, that was what we thought.
Among ourselves lied mystical creatures and other powerful beings that assumed our form. Hybridas, we called them. They were considered a threat to our lives, as we were torn apart by fear and the unknown, as we crawled back to our primary instincts.
And so, the Council decided. And when the Council decided, there was no turning back on their word.
They were all incarcerated in a tall tower, Alma Torris, we called it. And there they lived, away from us, in solitude, surrounded by those of their kind, killed on the spot if they ever tried to escape.
But I knew well that it wouldn't last long...
