One hundred years after the fall of the Empire, it was but a shadow of itself. The New Republic had rebuilt itself with many of the star systems that the Old Republic once had. The New Empire as it was called still held several star systems. What had remained of the Imperial Fleet had retreated to those systems that still have loyal govenors to the empire. One of these Govenors Tal Jurbia became the new emperor and set the planet he ruled over as the capital world. It was not Couasant but it had everything that was needed to be one and more. He took control of the Imperial fleet and guarded it's new boarders.
But the Imperial Fleet was not like it had been in the day of the Emperor Palapitain. No longer were there Star Destroyers or Super Star Destroyers. They were all destroyed in the destruction of the second Death Star. Now the largest ship was the Cruiser Class ship. They were not as expensive to make and man like the Star Destroyers. The New Empire did not have the resources to build one. Nor did the New Republic. Even after a hundred years of rebuilding such an endevor was never undertook. Both Imperial and Republic fleets were balanced at the moment and there fore none had the edge to wage a costly war against the other.
There were other Federations and Confederations and then there was the Sith Empire as well. Palapitine had been a Sith Lord and he had curropted others to the dark side. But the Sith Empire was in chaos itself as one Sith Lord was pitted against another to take control of the Empire and Rule. Palapitine had left that empire to seek his own and had gotten it for a short time.
The New Republic did not want a repeat of what had happened and so decreed that there would be no more Jedi councel or Jedi. Luke Skywalker was the last of that ancient order and he was not allowed to train any more, even though there were many out there that adept with the force.
A hundred yeas has passed and the son of Tal Jurbia has taken the throne. He is now the Emperor of the New empire. His name is Janis Jurbia and is as evil as his father was.
Plot: During this time there is an uneasy truce between the New Empire and the New Republic. There are those of the New Empire that wish to regain its former glory and set out to unbalance the status quo. Plans are in the works for a new type ship that will devestate the New Republic fleet. What it is no one but a few know, not even the emperor knows about it.
Smugglers abound, bringing into the New Empire items that are in demand and considered contraband by the Emperial Forces. The smugglers travel from the New Republic to the New Empire or from the other Federations and Confederations. Pirates also lurk about in both the Republic and Empire, preying on any ship they think carries goods they can take and sell.
There are those that are Adept with the force but that will be limited to a two player characters. There will be NPC ones that will be apart of the RP. They will be able to use the force to some degree, but not like Luke, Yoda or the other Jedi Masters.
The Sith: There are the Sith but no Sith Lords. The Sith empire is in chaos with Sith Lords trying to gain the upper hand there and rule. The Sith that come to the New fledgling alliances are adepts with the dark side or once apprentices of a Sith Lord that has died in the conflict in the Sith Empire.
