{Saving Aether: A small group rp}

In the world Aether at the age of twenty-one everyone is either gifted with an element or not. Those gifted go on to study at Yoserra, a private academy till they can eventually go out to serve the major kingdoms. Over the years those gifted with the elements have been fewer and farther between. With the waning amount of magic Aether has been declining, more wars are brewing, and the people worry they have angered their gods somehow. Yet, for the first time in thirty years all of the elements have manifested once again. People whisper this is a sign that the gods have not turned their back on Aether and that the four’s destinies is to rebalance the world.

Aether is made up of 10 continents and one isle off of Beocraty. Each Continent is broken up into their own kingdoms with only one major similarity- their belief in the gods.

Rizvanah

A never ending land of frost and snow is the entirety of Rizvanah. One of the largest lands under the control of one kingdom, Rizvanah boasts some of the hardiest citizens. With only three major cities most crowd within those, or live in some of the hardest lives in either the mountains or igloos in the wilds. It isn’t just the weather you must watch for here, hungry predators stalk this land constantly looking for their next meal.
They have grown more and more closed off to the world of Aether, and in the past five years no outsiders have been allowed into the capital of Rizvanah.

*Notable Cities*

Mika-
The southernmost city closest to the ocean. This is the most well known city of Rizvanah, and second biggest next to the capital. Most trading of outside goods come through this city before dog sleds carry them to the northern cities.

Copopia- The city is located in the North East, closest to the mountains that separate them from Frell. The mountains boarding them on all sides are impassible, but do hold some of the largest population of those not living in the cities. This city is most dangerous for an outsider trying to access, the waters leading to it are certain death. It is only accessible by dog sled.

Rizvah Capital- Rizvah is a fortress made for ancient times when Rizvanah was under constant siege from warlords in the northern mountains. The story goes that the greatest Earth bender was serving the kingdom at that time and in one of their greatest feats pushed the mountains even higher molding it into the capital, blocking Rizvanah from their enemies for good. In recent years no outsiders have been permitted into the walls of the fortress, and darker and darker rumors have begun to spread about what might be going on.

Isle of Mujin

The isle is completely uninhabitable other than the one island where the elements school Yossera is located. Between the thickest rainforest, Mujin has the largest concentrated amount of deadly animals; between poisonous snakes, man eating birds, and monster sized fish it is best for most to stay away.

Yossera was molded into the land by all four elements- at this time there were more than four people to do this job- thus it holds magic and protection within its walls. Yossera is almost it’s own mini city, with non-benders working and living within the grounds. In recent years with the decline of element users the populace in the school has been dwindling as well and slowly Yossera has begun to wither.

Quiris
-Quiris is broken up into five different kingdoms-

Dj8HQvIUcAAndY6.jpg

Odira in the North West
The Odirin people have the most lush and sought after land in all of Quiris. It is ruled by it’s wise, old King Beron. They are a peace loving kingdom that believes in sharing their abundance. Their safety is in their knowledge and each side of the country is bordered by the mountains, or the sea-even to pass through the river you must go through the mountains- making it extremely protected. There are few predator’s in Odira, most being large cats found in the uninhabited mountains.

Gomiris in the North
Gomiris is thick with brush and trees, most of its citizens choosing to live suspended above the ground in tree cities, with only farm towns being found on the ground. This kingdom is run by a grand council, members are chosen from each of the six major towns to represent them and their beliefs. They are a more conservative kingdom, keeping to their ancient ways, and not very open to change.

Azetica in the North East
Icy tundra contrast greatly to the warmer climates of the other kingdoms. Some say it was cursed by the gods, others say a blessing. They are a fierce, almost barbaric nation, with their leader simply being the strongest amongst them. They hunt, fight, and love to terrorize the other kingdoms.

The Grasslands in the Center
The grasslands have fertile soil, but strong winds, leaving its people to be farmers and ranchers living mostly in the hill land. They have learned to build their homes into the land of the dirt to help combat the heat of the summer, the cold of the winter, and the never ending gusts. Their Kings, or Queens, are chosen through a vote, but once they are chosen only death, or illness can take them off the throne.

The Wastes in the South
The people of the Wastes are some of the most intelligent, if not advanced out of all the other kingdoms. They have built large palaces, and homes in the blazing desert sun and have learned how to cool them, how to direct water to them, and how to excel beyond what anyone else could do there. They believe their rulers are god chosen, and born into the line.

Terra

Terra is a swamp land, broken up by many rivers. The land is either swampy or marshy, and most towns are built on top of the docks. Majority of the Terra people are nomadic and travel upon houseboats up and down the rivers, trading their wares with the people, hunting the animals, and for the most part enjoying their lives. There is not one ruler of Terra, nor is one person's life worth more than the other. Each city is run by its own council, and the main reason Terra wasn't annexed by another country was the simple fact that any major forces that land almost all got sick from the many illnesses the people of Terra were immune to.

*Major Cities*

Ter

Is located at the tip of Terra’s head, right where the mouth of the Kamani river-the biggest river in all of Terra. It’s main focus is the trading port of all of Terra, it is the easiest to access for foreigners, and safest from the illnesses of the land. Corra is this town's wise woman, and leader.

Terris
The closest town to Ter, it is located down the right fork of the Kamani river. Terris is a bustling city built in a circle around the forks on the back of Torra’s head with the main river flowing right through the middle. Terris is claimed to be the most beautiful city, but is almost always infested with alligators, making it hard for untrained sailors to navigate. Vance is the mayor currently.

Arret
Is located in the southern west mouth of the ocean where rivers seem to flow in confusing directions, the shift of the tides controlling the waters here. Nami and Rhys are the checks and balances of Arret. The largest temple dedicated to the goddess of Water is found here.

Mourg
Located due south this town is built half in the water, half on land, and is the largest city in all of Terra. Crime rates almost rival the amount of predators that slink on the edges of this land. Be wary in Mourg, it is not a safe place. Currently the corrupt leader Dominik is the leader of this town.

Tore

Broken into two constantly warring factions, above the eye and below. Above the eye believe in advancement and technology, always wanting to keep up with the other nations, but struggle with the constant war from below. Below the eye are almost archaic, stuck in their past and unwilling to grow. Above the eye is ruled by a council of seven chosen by the people. Below the eye has been ruled by the Amari family for generations, beside them always seems to be a Priest of Fire whispering in their ears.

Above the eye notable towns

Aberdeen
Largest farming, trading, and export town it is a huge hubbub of activity. It is located in the Northern part of Tore.

Greensday
Despite it’s name there is nothing Green abouts Greensday. It is located in a dry, but not warm, strip. Greensday is a huge location for budding scholars, and scientists to come and learn or to test out their experiments.

Barnaby
Located at the north part of the eye, over the years this city has become the biggest defense spot for all of the North. The people here are a little rough and cynical, especially compared to the rest of the North.

Wisteria
The central island of Northern Tore has recently become the capital for war strategies of Tore. Before they were a much more peace loving nation, but no longer can handle their brothers and sisters being slaughtered on the mainland.

06-journeys-end-bridge-environment-art.jpg

Below the Eye notable towns

Ozyrn
Is located just south of the eye and is the oldest known fortress in all of Tore. Walls stretch as high as the eye can see for miles and miles, it is said to built on the back of the old Northerners, a reason why the split.

Pirn
Sits along vast fields bordering the East sea. Most trading is done here making it the second largest city in the South. The highest amount of crime is found here, but so is the highest amount of law and bounty hunters.

Thralkfield
The southernmost larger city is bordered on all sides by farm fields, and flat land beauty. Most recently the Northern islands of Tore have been focusing retaliation strikes on this town by sailing the rough, dangerous seas, changing the battles finally in their favor.

Beocraty

One large island with five tiny, some uninhabitable islands around. The government of Beocraty is a socialist reform, with the no one left behind mindset. There is an abundance in all of the tropical island, somehow devoid of any predators able to take down humans. Beautiful fruits, and fertile land make Beocraty and most wanted land by other countries. Foreigners would be surprised to find though the Beocraty people are always ready to defend their country, from man, woman, child, elder and even some animals.

*Notable cities*

Ko’uk’oua

Found at the tip of Beocraty, if you have the right kind of spyglass you can see the isle of mujin. This is the capital of all of Beocraty, and the most abundant.

Lani
The center of Beocraty, Lani is located on top of a tall dormant volcano overlooking all of the land. Built here is the Temple to the goddess of Air.

HoʻOkahi

The single lone North island off the back of Beocraty. This island is the least like the rest of the land, and still focus on praising the ways of the old, and look to their island commander for most law instead of the actual government.

by-tacosauceninja-tacosauceninja-digital-art-landscapes-a-17.jpg

Achress
Split into three kingdoms, two are almost constantly fighting while the third had remained neutral all this time.

The kingdoms

Magenta

Found in the north, the land only has small sections fertile enough to grow crops, the others must be reliant on other ways to get food. For these facts alone Magenta wars with Elsh it’s neighbor for need of some of their lush, forested land. They are currently lead by King and Queen Oberon.

Elsh
Eastern of the continent Elsh is the forested, with rich soil, and the most beautiful falls. The people of Elsh are not keen on sharing their land with Magenta, and claim they can pay and trade or eat steel. Currently King Honary is the ruler.

Modovo
Ruled by the Modovo family for as long as anyone can remember. The almost tropical beach-like land is perfectly fine staying out of their neighbors' endless fighting. Due to the constant war most other countries trade with Modovo instead of the others.

michael-adamidis-art-channel-photoshop-oil-brushes-2.jpg

Osaleaha

Rolling grassland is the majority of Osaleaha. The land is ruled by the Zani family currently, but the kingdom is passable to another person if enough people vote for it. The king and Queen do not have utmost power, rather they make the final decision based on majority votes.

Major cities

Leah

Located at the very tip of the continent. The most notable part of this city is their interaction with Rizvanah, or more so the fact that they have any interaction with Rizvanah at all.

Zani
The kingdoms capital name is changed to whoever the ruling family is, making it easier for their people in the far off towns, and foreigners to know who is in charge. It is located directly in the center of the land.

Holswor
Found out the very south on the edge of the sea, this major fishing village has a large export out to Quiris, and is a large hubbub for pirate activity. It is rumored that the Zani family has lost control of this city to the pirate captain Red the cruel.
1633813066039.jpeg
Moohdun
Two separate kingdoms split up Moohdun, the outside and the mound people.

The outside
Vivid green, fertile, and lush is all of the outside. The people are kind and caring, and more than willing to give to their neighbors. They are ruled by a council of three, with the position being bestowed by the previous council members.

The mound people
Not really their own kingdoms, they are born into the temple of the God of Earth, and mostly seem content to live their lives majority underground.

9ba5a220b73eb7cf1eabcbedf3101fe9.jpg

Frell
Split into two kingdoms both have too many of their own problems to worry about the other.

The kingdoms

Fronia

In the North, recently a drought has affected part of this kingdom's population. Now more and more people are moving from the once lush farmland back into the never ending mountains of their ancestors. They are ruled by the mysterious King Drak, rumors flying over if he was the one to pray to the gods to curse the land, or if the gods find fault with him. Whatever the answer, he is growing stronger with the majority of his people working to rebuild the mountain kingdoms that once made them feel superior to all the rest of Aether.

Felsvar
Unlike its northern companion, Felsvar has had an abundance of crops and rain, a huge contrast next to the North. A fever has racked the land of Felsvar, recently killing off it’s monarch leaving the people warring over what to do next, and how to save their people.

visegard_ideation_by_gamefan84-d2czy4f.jpg

Komanik
Long ago Komanik was five different kingdoms, almost always at war with each other, nearly killing off the land and all their people. Finally they slowly agreed to create the council of five, where each land, each culture, got a say in how the whole nation was ran, how the supplies would be spread, all the while still holding their own nations laws. To show their unity all of the kingdoms changed their names simply to their council position which was ranked from North being one and South being five.

Council 1
It’s own peninsula council 1 has the most luck with seafood productions, so their main focus is on this.

Council 2
Found more to the West, at the bottom of the mountains, Council 2 boasts some of the strongest men and women, their focus on mining, hunting, and trapping.

Council 3
Lush forest of the East leaves Council 2 a mod podge of different jobs, including lumber, carpentry, farming, and ranching among others.

Council 4
Located in once part of council 3 the land was since burnt to the ground, strangely enough nothing ever grew back. This land is hard to live and work on, but the people have managed to survive off other talents. The only surviving piece of history is the remaining massive temple to the god of fire.

Council five
The south most part of Komanik is hilly land that leads to coastal living. The main ports of the country are found here, and legally this is the only way in and out of the continent.
