I was planning to start this up around a month ago, but due to family emergencies I had to pull back for a month. Now it's going to start up again! I will also ask this. If you can't commit, don't bother posting here. This has lead to so many problems in the past.
Fifty years ago, the Kranian Empire created by humans had spread across the entirety of the continent of Kranar. Few independent nations lived during this time, but the empire's autocratic rule and cruel treatment of many races and enslavement of all races led to it collapsing under it's own weight.
Power vacuums were created all over. Lords claiming their land as independent states, the old military taking the opportunity to take matters into their own hands, loyalists trying desperately to keep their once mighty empire alive, underground factions and guilds that have rose to the surface, and the oppressed and enslaved taking freedom into their own hands. This is what formed in the collapse: Anarchy. A state of near lawlessness created by voiding the power, where small and large powers alike have equal footing and fight for dominance in a state of flux.
One faction has arisen recently though. A faction that is slowly rising in power, but is now growing exponentially. Aequaliberi, this faction seeks to rebuild the empire in a new way. One where all are treated equally, where life was far better than the old oppressive empire. Rising from the dark void of chaos, they seek to ally themselves and repair the damage made.

Aequaliberi: This is the faction that your characters are a part of or will be part of. These are the ones who hope for equality. They will also do so by any means they see as necessary. They have been hiring assassins, soldiers, and even allying themselves with anyone that can find themselves to align with their beliefs.
Krania: The collapsed empire taken over by the son of the former emperor who is far worse than his father was. Driving out his family, he and the rest of the empire that is still loyal seeks to restore its former power.
Dracar: The most organized and omnipotent faction of vampires who have taken over towns and made the mortals into their cattle. They do not kill people unnecessarily, but they do enslave them.
Trira: A violent alliance of slaves who were the races that weren't human. They seek revenge against the empire and enslave humans along the way. They preach humans as evil and appeal to the oppressed who wish to give into their rage.
