I'm actually still really mad about people controlling my characters in their posts though, is this actually normal?

I haven't read what you had before you edited, but no. Other people controlling your characters is not normal unless you had mutual agreement for it.

Yeah that shouldn’t be a thing unless you’ve both agreed on it. If not, it’s probably best to politely explain that you don’t like your character being controlled or something?

But seriously, it's bad roleplay etiquette to control someone else's characters especially without their permission. Seeing as it did make you upset, you should bring it up with this partner.

I'm also curious, to what extent did they control your character?
