Statistics say that military brats move an average of ten times growing up. It's this constant moving that gives them their spunk, their adaptability, their ability to make friends quickly. They never feel like they have a hometown, they're exposed to different cultures constantly. They see more of the world than most people, spending years overseas and in different corners of America.

Now, they've found their way to Fort Rockhill. Originally an Army base in Georgia, Fort Rockhill is now a place which services all Uniformed Services of the United States: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Gaurd, Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and the NOAA Corps. Home to various labs, headquarters, and a whole lot of housing, many find themselves stationed at Fort Rockhill for a year or so.

With everything you could ever need- a school, a bowling alley, a commissary, doctors and dentist offices, housing, and then some, a lot of families live on the base. Their kids make friends with one another, knowing very well that most of their friends will move in a year or two, if they don't move first. Yet they continue making friends, living their lives- what else would you expect them to do?

It comes as a shock to no one that very intelligent people have trouble fitting in. After all, there's something that rings true about the popular portrayal of nerds who are ostracized and bullied by their peers. In reality, it's because people with high IQs typically have very low EQs (Emotional Quotient), which is what enables someone to understand how other people interact/feel/live. So, they cling to one another.

Enter our merry members of Mensa- a group of people who excel in academics, or maybe a particular field, but cannot hold a conversation to save their life. Well, unless the conversation is among themselves. This group of prodigies found one another because no one else would have them- they simply, for the most part, lack the skills needed to understand normal human reactions. But they have each other.

Now, they live in a garage turned workshop/living space, siphoning electricity from neighbors- they may be brilliant, but they have a hard time landing a job. Will the arrival of some people who aren't geniuses, but who have people skills, change their life for the better? Or will they scare all other people away.

Though the roleplay has started, you can still apply! You'd just enter as a new member of the garage!
