  It’s 1999; the wizarding world continues trying to move on from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’s return and defeat. Hogwarts has been rebuilt thanks to tireless efforts from staff, most notably Headmistress McGonagall, and is now welcoming students to its grounds two weeks prior to classes starting in an effort to raise morale. Continuing this movement, there will be student dances, extra afterclass activities, and even family visitation days scheduled throughout the school year- all events that have never been regularly held on the infamous campus before.
  
  Your character, who’s coming back to Hogwarts starting their fifth year, is feeling mixed emotions alongside their classmates. The battle still lingers in the back of their mind, alongside all they lost. Resolutely, however, they’re determined to return to their schooling (or antics, perhaps?) and get back to normalcy, even if that does mean having to navigate through Hogwarts’ legendary gossip mill.
  
  What they don’t expect to find on the day classes start is blue wisps soaring around that, apparently, only they can see. And they certainly don’t expect to follow those wisps to a hidden room one night only to find an odd assortment of fellow fifth years who are experiencing the same phenomenon. Thus, our story begins…

Your feelings are valid, but I do not want to bring that discourse here c: ANYONE WHO SPOILS THE PLOT IS GETTING IMMEDIATELY BANNED.   Welcome! As you can tell, this is a Hogwarts slice of life and mystery RP. Appearance: Short for his age, he’s only 5’2. Azzy is slim figured, perhaps due to his high metabolism, no matter how much he eats he can’t seem to take on much weight. Azzy has a tan, perhaps this is due to how often he is out in the sun tending to animals. Azzy usually wears tones of brown and yellow with some red and orange every now and then. He cares about looking good and tries his best to keep his appearance the best he can. His eyes are dark gray and his hair is light brown with hints of orange at the ends. He often keeps his hair shorter and messy, but in a more controlled way than bedhead.

House: Gryffindor

Wand: Spruce wood with a Unicorn core 10" and a Rigid flexibility

Personality: Azzy is brave, but maybe not for the right reasons. He feels as if he has something to prove and can come off as arrogant, however, he by no means is unkind, he’s purely misunderstood and his entire life he’s felt like some sort of accident that should never have been born. He ponders if the world would be better without him but knows his mother needs him. Azzy deep down does do the right thing in most cases because he knows it’s the right thing and despite having quite a few fears, he’d rather face them than be terrified of them forever. Azzy can sometimes let his temper control him but he tries to keep it at bay. He desperately wants to be accepted and have friends but most keep away from him due to his anger and his oddity. He shares a strong understanding with animals of both the muggle and magic world and yearns to be in a field where he can help them.

Appearance: Matilda, standing at 5'2, is on the shorter side and in addition relativly dainty in build, despite the fact that the Hufflepuff common room is so close to the kitchen (Which she makes use of quite happily). Her small stature, combined with her usually outgoing, open and friendly demeanor lead to the redhead often being underestimated, though she does not mind this. She is often found wearing comfortable clothes in various pastell colours. Her shoes are rarely clean, mostly because she enjoys walks and trips to the schools greenhouses and garden.

Wand: 10,5", Dragon Heart String, English Oak wood, slightly yielding. The wand is of a light color, almost white. Its handle is ornamented with a pastel pink grip and ends into a small silver rabbit ornament.

Personality: Matilda is a very positive, friendly and extroverted person. She is rarely seen without a smile on her face and is known to try and cheer up everybody around her to her own level. Her mind is always active, always thinking of something to do next. This can sometimes cause her to stumble over what she is currently doing, her head already at the next planned acitivity. Her personality combined with her physical appearance often cause her to be underestimated, but Matilda harbors a fire within her when it comes to those she cherishes or by extend any danger or aggression that she deems unjust. She will stand in the way of bullies whenever she sees them. While her small physique makes her seem harmless, the hufflepuff knows how to wield her wand and can quickly put a careless witch or wizard in their place. While charms are one of her favorite subjects, few things trump her interest and love for magical plants and herbology in general. If the herbology professor is not avaivable, she is likely the one to ask about almost any plant.

Trivia:

• Matilda's parents are reknown for their buisness in potions and their ingredients. Despite that, Potions is one of Matilda's worst classes, to both her parents and potions professors dismay.
• Matilda is both, amazed and afraid of the more majestic mythical beasts known.
• Matilda is not very confident on a broom. She gets where she wants to, but that is about the highest extend of her broom flying abilities.

Personality: Anton is a bubbly young man who enjoys the social parts of life. Anton has a natural ability to make friends wherever he goes. As a muggle student, Anton excelled at his studies and was preparing for a rigorous education at Eton College. His love of learning followed him to Hogwarts, where Anton always earned exceptional marks. Anton's quest for knowledge is fed by his adventurous nature, which leads him to explore the castle in search of more and more obscure knowledge.

History: As a boy, Anton seemed to be the center of a number of mysterious events. His parents often cleaned unexplained messes and removed wild animals that had found their way into Anton's room. As Anton grew older, these oddities became few and far between. However, a strangely dressed woman visited the Selkat family home in Truro one summer. She introduced herself as Professor McGonagall and explained to Anton's parents the reasoning behind strange occurrences in their son's life and his acceptance into Hogwarts. She also hinted at the high likelihood that Anton's younger twin sisters would likely find themselves similarly selected in six years. Following this initial meeting, McGonagall escorted Anton and his parents to Diagon Alley, where she explained the purposes of various wizarding paraphernalia and assisted Anton in preparing for his first year at Hogwarts. It was McGonagall who suggested Eleanor as a superb owl to accompany Anton.

As a student, Anton was sorted into Ravenclaw following a lengthy debate with the Sorting Hat over his compatibility with both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Anton would later learn that he had qualified as a hatstall and took some pride in this fact. During his time in Ravenclaw, Anton partook in the standard education offered by Hogwarts. He found himself particularly interested in the subjects of herbology and potions. In his third year, Anton also took an intense interest in divination and arithmancy. Outside the classroom, Anton was instantly drawn to the wonder of flying brooms and the game of Quidditch. In 1998, Anton had planned to go out for his house's team but was put off the idea by the repressive nature of the school under Snape. However, as a new term draws near, Anton has decided to revisit this interest and hopes to become a chaser this year.

  Long blonde hair, with eyes like looking into the tumultuous ocean. Emilia stands taller than her actual height allows, making up for her lack thereof with spunk and posture. Her every movement is calculated, carefully holding herself as a predator might. In a casual conversation, this demeanor drops and her movements become excited and thoughtless as she tries to act out what she is saying.
  
  Emilia's clothing is as eclectic as her studies, changing drastically from day to day. At one time she may dress in comforting basic clothing, wearing her glasses and removing her nose ring; not caring at all who sees her and what they think. On other days, however, her outfits are painstakingly put together, nose ring and all; contacts letting her eschew her admittedly nerdy glasses. Many of her accessories are stolen from what is currently popular among muggles, their fashion seems so much more expressive in comparison to what is popular in wizard society.

  Quiet and fiercely competitive, Emilia takes no pains to suffer fools. Her quick wit lends itself to her sharp tongue, but to people who have earned her praise, she is fiercely protective. Many would consider her callous and rude, not caring to hide what she really means when talking, but deep down she is kind and thoughtful. To those who she cares for, her words are precisely chosen and spoken with emphasis. Wit is one of the defining aspects of Emilia, and she looks for it in others. Her jokes are often smart and require a clever mind to fully appreciate. She loves to make people laugh, and if someone finds her odd humor funny, it is especially endearing to her. However, she often finds herself at a loss in most social scenarios, taking long periods of time to answer or not answering at all. People get too caught up in the meaningless pursuit of posturing, and she finds it hard to relate at times.
  
  Her studies are often the forefront of her thoughts, not the excellence of necessarily, but rather the mastery of. With practicality in mind, Emilia often argues points of contention with the professors. After all, if she can cast the spell, what matter is it how she achieves the end result? To that end, she often finds her grades subpar but passing, something she has learned to disregard for better or worse. Only in Charms Club/Class does Emilia ever show extreme focus, carefully and quickly mastering seemingly every charm put before her. In Charms class she is more than willing to help teach anyone who cares to ask her, the sheer love of the topic driving her. However, the application of many charms has left her slightly paranoid. after all, most of her belongings have charms on them to prevent unwanted attention, theft, reading, and the like.
  
  One of the surefire ways to gain her acceptance is to beat her in a "broom street race." Though she doesn't participate in any extracurricular activities involving the Broom, Emilia is a very skilled broomrider. Her various charms and very loose street racing rules often cause spectacular shows during the races, which are officially banned on campus; though this doesn't completely stop the headstrong witch.
  
  When she does get to have fun, she often lets loose, going out of her way to spend time with the people that are important to her and looking for increasingly exotic scenarios to share with them. Often this leads her to willingly breaking rules, and a completely disregarding authority. Perhaps her odd personality acts of rebellion are a way to lash out against her pureblood mother and the expectations placed on her. Regardless, Emilia seems to live with her head equal parts in the clouds and in the books. Only when she is breaking the rules or hyperactively rambling about what she is passionate about does she ever seem fully grounded.

  Emilia was born to a happily married couple that seemed to not have a care in the world. Her mother homeschooled her, teaching her seemingly everything that she could ever want to know. All the while her father was a successful banker, who would come home at the same time every day and dote on his daughter as if she were the best thing to ever happen to him. Emilia couldn't have a care in the world, she lived in her idyllic little bubble for years. Then her first accident with magic happened, and everything changed. Her world was swept out from underneath her and she had to learn to steel herself against the reality of her world.
  
  The day was passing like any other, Emilia playing with a flower she had picked in the backyard when she noticed there was a loose board in the fence separating the yard from her neighbors. Ever curious, she moved the board aside and looked into the neighbor's yard; almost immediately a large black dog let out a snarl and lunged for her. With a startled yelp, Emilia fell back flinging her hand out to protect herself, only to notice the dog was sunken about a quarter of the way into the ground. Hearing an excited gasp behind her, she turned back to see her mother smiling down at her.
  
  Shortly after that incident, Emilia's mother convinced her father to enroll her in Hogwarts under the guise of a boarding school. For the first year, Emilia loved being a witch and all the fantastic things it came with. She loved her House, her Wand, her Familiar, and all the friends that understood her so well. However the first summer she came home, Emilia met her half-sister. From that day forward Emilia was tormented at every turn, even receiving hexed mail from her sister at Christmas time.
  
  Just when Emilia thought she couldn't take the suffering anymore, her sister died. The investigation was never satisfying to Emilia, but the sister never returned, and after some time she learned to move past the anxiety and fear that had become commonplace. Emilia threw herself into her studies, finding a sort of morbid curiosity in many of the same dark charms that her sister used to torment her with. It wasn't long before she found herself in Charms Club every free chance she got, mastering every charm that anyone would teach her, regardless of how inane it might be.

  Ever since she first saw a Dragon, Emilia became obsessed with them, leading to her study of all manner of Magical Beasts, taking great pains to interact with them and learn unorthodox methods of dealing with them. She lacks the gentle method that most take with the creatures, preferring to cow them into acquiescence. Her love of complicated Charms keeps her up late into the nights, often the last member of Charms Club to leave for the night. Free time is often occupied by homebrewing potions or drinking Butterbeer and eating Chocolate Frogs. Fire holds a special place in Emilia's heart, perhaps due to her love of Dragons, and fireworks in particular always seem to take her breath away.
  
  For whatever reason, Owls seem to hold some sort of universal enmity towards Emilia, an issue compounded by the fact that their ugly cries keep her up more nights than she would like to admit. If the entire Owlery was turned into toads, it would be the best Year Emilia has had at Hogwarts; the world would be better off without those long-legged monsters in her professional opinion. She also was none too fond of Quidditch and The House Cup, which were absolutely pointless as far as she was concerned. People throwing spheres at each other while flying in circles was silly enough, but it also always seemed to lead to classism, which Emilia absolutely abhorred. Legilimency also held a special place of revulsion for the Ravenclaw, people's secrets were their own after all, or at the very least shouldn't be so easily revealed.
  
  Since her first year at Hogwarts, Emilia had always held a special aptitude for Charms. Finding Charms Club gave her a special place of solidarity, one that would teach her based on her skill and not her age. In an effort to defend herself from the tortures of her older sister, Emilia became a devoted Duelist, using her mastery of charms to elegantly win duel after duel. However not even diligent study could bridge the gap between Emilia and her sister, and she had to find other avenues to defend herself. Over the years quick memorization became second-habit, learning to take shorthand notes of entire lesson plans; analyzing and adapting them to her own needs later.
  
  If Emilia had one crowning flaw, it would be her pride, which is more often than not, her worst enemy. It doesn't take much to offend her, and it can be almost impossible to placate her once the issue has been raised. Often this grudge manifests in her pretending the offender simply doesn't exist. However, in the rare event that they somehow end up in a school-sanctioned duel with Emilia, she is more than willing to share an educational string of charms. She can also be quite spacey, not noticing the most obvious of things while her head is in the clouds. It is rare that she is fully paying attention to anything, often thinking of how to complete charm or potion work that she left in her dorm. Following rules definitely isn't Emilia's strong suit, and on more than one occasion she's been issued detention for her lack of adherence to School Policy
  
  The Silver Spears was a secret dueling society in the eighteenth century comprised exclusively of members with Aspen wands. Emilia's grandfather was a member of this notorious group and some of the secrets and expectations of the Silver Spears have been passed down to her.

  Mother	Sophie Leibe: Pureblood	A skilled witch, in her youth many suitors came wanting for her hand. A short-lived affair between Sophie and another such pureblood gave birth to Emilia's elder sister Millicent. Sophie was devastated at Millicent's death, and seemed to put all of her expectations for her on Emilia's shoulders.
  Father	Roger Leiber: Muggle	Roger was always doting on his daughter, eager to see her everyday he came home from work. However he was almost non-existent after her magic developed, in fact, he seemed to doubt that magic even existed, going so far as to ridicule Emilia whenever she mentioned it. Deep down, Emilia still longs for her father's acceptance, but she has long since lost any illusions about gaining it.
  Sister	Millicent Leiber: Pureblood	Millicent was born under the effects of an Amortentia Potion, and as such was unusually distant and cruel. For years, Emilia lived in fear of Millicent's torment, something that was only ended with Millicent's sudden death. After being caught using one of the three Unforgivable Curses, Millicent was condemned, likely headed for Azkaban. Perhaps fortunately, Millicent died during the attempted capture, when one of her fatal spells was reflected back at her.

  Wand	Aspen Wood, Rougarou Hair Core, 11¾", Rigid Aspen Wands are prized for its resemblance to Ivory and its top-notch charmwork. The owner is often an accomplished duelist, or at least destined to be one. Rougarou Hair is believed to have a high affinity for the dark arts and the use of it as a core was kept secret for many years.
  Patrnous Charm	Tigress, Tigers are quiet and powerful creatures, preferring to watch and observe before acting swiftly and decisively. Like all cats, they possess a playful side, but it is eerily absent when their predatory nature comes out. Mother Tigers can be fiercely protective of anyone they consider their cubs, and they will go to terrifying lengths to ensure the safety of their loved ones. However tigers often are also dark and cynical of the world; they are creatures that are reluctant to share their emotions with others, preferring to maintain the impression that they are cold and heartless.
  Broom	Yajirushi; an old favorite first unveiled during the Quidditch World Cup. Even though it isn't the newest in the Yajirushi line, Emilia swears by it and refuses to swap brooms.

  Prue can be described as a mischievous troublemaker, seeming to always somehow find herself in troubling or sometimes dangerous situations due to her serious lack of disregard for the rules. She is reckless, stubborn and extremely headstrong. She can come across as mean or rude at times but she doesn't always mean to be, sometimes she just forgets to think before she speaks.
  
  Prue is quite cunning, sly and manipulative. She tends to use other peoples weaknesses to her advantage. Whilst she mightn't strive academically, Prue is street smart and makes up for her lack of learning through her common sense., finding this to be more valuable than academic learning. Prue can be seen as lazy, if given the choice she will always take the easiest option, rather than testing herself and doing her best.
  
  Prue is extremely sarcastic and tends to always have a sarcastic whip up her sleeve. She is outgoing, an extrovert at heart and has no issue with being the centre of attention, if for the right reasons off course.
  
  Whilst she is cunning, Prue is also very charismatic and easy enough to get on with. She isn't biased towards blood status and doesn't really hold any opinion on it. Prue is a good friend to those she holds close, she is extremely loyal and will protect her family and friends at all costs.

  Prue was born to Piper and Chris Nott. She is the youngest child of five siblings and the only daughter. The Nott family are a well respected Pure Blood family. Chris has worked in the Ministry for most of his life, Piper worked in the Ministry before becoming a stay at home mother as their family began to grow
  
  Growing up in the Nott household was hectic but full of love and joy. Laughter was the most recognizable sound within them walls. The Nott house is a grand house in the Country situated by a woods, far away from the bustling and loud city streets. Piper and Chris believed privacy was best with a house full of wizarding children and they were proved right as soon as their first child's powers began to show.
  
  Prue and her siblings were very close and while Max and Matthew (eldest boys) treated her like the royalty she believed she was, Harry and Justin (closer to her age) treated her as though she was another brother and it was due to this that Prue learned to fight and to stick up for herself.

  Asha doesn't care at all what others think about her. She loves to be unapologetically her true self, twenty four hours per day. This attitude can grate on people's nerves sometimes, but her personal motto is "you can either like me or avoid me."

• Asha was born to Thorfinn and Leia Rowle. The first few years of her life were good, with a family to take care of her and most of the delights her young heart could desire. That was before her mother and father started fighting, however. When Asha was five years old, her mother found out she was unable to bear any more children. Her father became angry; without a son, the Rowle family name would die out. The fights devolved from there, until her parents were nitpicking and squabbling and fighting over the smallest things.

Her mother, tired of trying to salvage their marriage, and scared of what her husband might become, began to make plans to leave. She hadn't started early enough, however, as the next night her father came home, it happened. His rage was palpable, bubbling and boiling just under the surface of his skin. He screamed, and hit, and threw hexes. Her mother protected Asha as best she could, but she still got hit far too many times. Eventually, Thorfinn wore himself out and slumped to the floor in a stupor.
  
  Leia left with her daughter in the middle of the night, carrying only the essential possessions. They went to Asha's grandmother, who took them in and cared for them like the mother hen that she was, and offered them her house for as long as they needed it.​
