    1. Realistic FCs only!
    2. Complicated characters above surface level. I want depth to these characters, especially because they'll be going through some traumatic things (no doubt).
    3. NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Make a character at your leisure, as I will look at them when they are done and let you know if they need work or if they are accepted. I will heart your post if you are accepted
    4. I don't mind multiple characters, but try not to get out of control. Start with 2, and if you want to take more, go nuts. Any characters you aren't able to play can be transported to NPCs if you desire.
    5. If you have any questions please ask me. Please read the lore as well, and invent some more if you'd like! If it's a little too abstruse, I will ask you to adapt the lore or change it/omit it completely.
    6. Students should be between the ages of 16-20. No younger than 16, but they can be as old as they want if they are not students. Keep in mind that the younger you are, the less control of your powers you will have. As well, no training will stunt you even further. I don't want anyone to be OP.
    7. The character sheet is in the spoiler tab below.
    8. Students can pick niches, but keep in mind that they won't start to show for some time. You can even leave it undetermined for the moment if you aren't sure where you want your character to specialize in.

» BASIC INFORMATION;
Name: Blythe Lily Walcott
Nickname(s): Bly, Miss Walcott
Age: 39
Gender: Female
Role: Headmistress of Hecate Academy

Eye Color: steel blue
Hair Color: blonde
Height | Weight: 5'10", 175 lbs
Tattoos | Piercings: Ear piercings, and a tattoo of a four leaf clover on her left ankle. Faded with age.

» PERSONALITY;
Blythe is a kind, sentimental woman. She's learned from the iron-gaze of her family what it is to be scrutinized, and held to an unprecedented degree, and attempts to not let the stress get to her. She's open minded and overly considerate of those around her. Blythe is constantly genuine and filled with smiles for those she cares about. Her temper is patient, but when she's at her wits end she can be quite irritable. Though she doesn't show it, because her smile is so sweet, she holds high expectations for her students (and her daughter). Though she's lenient, she does push to try and expose greatness in others. Blythe is intelligent and can hold her own in a battle of wits, though she does better to hold her tongue and show resistance when others may lose their control. She's got a strong willpower, and would only bend her morals if someone (like family, or her students) was in a life or death situation.

» SKILLS;
✶ Gifted violin player
✶ Herbalism

» MAGIC NICHE;
Divination; gifted with the ability to detect magic auras or trace remainders of magic in an area. Adept at scrying and future-seeing.

» BIOGRAPHY;
Blythe is the only daughter of Marie Walcott, and was held to an unprecedented standard to not tarnish the Walcott name. Marie Walcott is a vindictive and powerful woman, capable of mowing over bodies with her heated gaze alone. Blythe knew her only as mother, and as hot as the glares would be, Blythe never melted. She remained strong against her mother, being one of only a few people capable of standing up to Marie Walcott.

Her childhood was bathed in wealth and refinery. Marie Walcott had married a rich, Boston investor and they lived in a plush mansion. As is tradition, in a witch-blood family the women are to take their maternal surname to keep the blood strong. This proved to create tension with Marie and her husband, who was a egotistical man who buried himself in materialism. Marie, as hard as she was, excused her behaviour because of the lengths she had gone to for witch-kind. It was thanks to her, and her sister nonetheless, that witches were not murdered in cold blood anymore. Blythe simply nodded along, usually the punching bag to her mother's tirades against the other witches or political discourse.

Almost as soon as Blythe was old enough to start showing powers she was forced into the Parris-Walcott school. It was in its early years, and despite all the acclaim and prestige it has now, the school was still coming together back in the eighties. Blythe was forced into popularity, and surrounded by mean and elitists witches. Due to her birthright alone, she was held on a pedestal to the other students. It humbled the girl and she caved in at the sight of a spotlight; preferring to spend her times in the Great Library. Or rather, any time she had free she spent off campus.

When she was twenty she met the love of her life. He was a simple man, but he loved her truly for her; not for the blood that raced through her veins. Thomas Stanbridge. He was a long-haul trucker, barely older than she, and she was hitchhiking. Dumb for anyone who wasn't a gifted witch, but dumb for a witch as well; as the hunter presence in New England could rival the witch hunts centuries ago. She'd sought to escape her day for a moment, to travel into town and away from the school. There she'd met him, and well, it hadn't been anything entirely special at first. Rain had plastered her hair to her face, and she hadn't realized how handsome he was until he offered her a rag to dry her head.

The wedding was anything but blessed by her family, based on the fact that Tom was a mortal. Not a lick of magic in his blood, and from the south no doubt, Blythe hadn't expected much from her family. He'd knocked her up in the first place, so the wedding that followed and subsequent honeymoon and re-establishment to the Council was enough stress to threaten Blythe's pregnancy. At the end of the day, even if not of pure witch-blood, Marie was still proud that there was a child to carry the Walcott name. Tom had even taken her name, instead of forcing his own, so Marie was satisfied enough. They named their daughter Charlotte, and the following years proved to be more complicated than their initial meeting.

Blythe balanced being a mother and a professor at Parris-Walcott. As well, she had to factor in being a wife to the man she loved beyond reason. It took a lot of bouncing between state lines for holidays and whatnot, with some time often spent in the north or a vacation in the south, but they made it work. Tom always had faith in her.

Raising Charlotte was another thing entirely to Blythe, who had mixed views of her own upbringing. Despite doing her best to shield the girl from the responsibilities that befell a Salem witch, unconsciously she pressed expectations onto the child. Charlotte, rather than bend or accept, did her best to reject the reinforcement that was sent her way. She was rebellious and remained so into her later teens.

A particular nasty encounter at the school with a group of Malleus hunters inspired Blythe to seek refuge, and to seek other witches to bolster their coven numbers, in the south. Every time she'd visited with Tom, she'd always felt them. They were just as prevalent in the north as they were in the south, and they needed guidance as well. Many were self-made, living on the streets or unaware completely of their potential.

Thus inspired the events that lead us to today. This venture is a hostage situation of Blythe's worth and status with the council and the other Salem witches. She intends to let this flourish, and to usher an age of acceptance, finally, for witches.

» STYLE;
Blythe is almost always dressed up, and very rarely seen with either her hair down or in anything less than a pair of trousers. Her wardrobe is light in colour, full of silk blouses and colourful pumps. She wears the pin of her school on the lapel of her blazers, or on the breast of her shirt.

» OTHER;
Blythe follows the oath of the Great Thirteen, but is far more trusting and liberal than her fellow witches.

Name: Charlotte Marie Walcott
Nickname(s): Charlie, Lottie (by family)
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Role: Fledgling witch at Hecate Academy

Eye Color: light grey-blue
Hair Color: blonde
Height | Weight: 5'7", 135 lbs.
Tattoos | Piercings: ear piercings on both ears with a couple of helix piercings as well

» PERSONALITY;
Charlie is the opposite of an idyllic, obedient witch. In fact, she attributes her status of living to be directly in spite of the type of life her family has wanted for her, since before she was even conceived. To Charlie, being a witch is about having fun. She enjoys playing with people, playing with her powers, and in general living by her own rules. Her mother tries to doctrine her, but it goes awry almost every time. Charlie prefers her father over her mother, but no doubt would go to her mother if anything went sour with her powers. She's a witty, sardonic girl for her age and does what she can to rebel. She'll taunt others to test them, make up rumors for the fun of it and no doubt is one of the main instigators of bad shit to come. Though she can dish it, it's harder for her to take it and she's gotten in fights for that very reason with other girls. Her ego is fragile, and this comes from an insecurity that she would never be enough to be worth her abilities or her heritage.

» SKILLS;
✶ surprisingly good at wood-working, loves to work with her hands
✶ can chug alcohol/liquid of high volumes quickly

» MAGIC NICHE;
Conjuration; defined in the summoning of energy and objects at the conjurer's will

» BIOGRAPHY;
Charlotte was born into a legacy. Not exactly your average star student, or musical prodigy-- but Charlotte was pre-determined to carry the line of an ancient family of witches. From the moment she slipped between her mother's legs and into the cold, unforgiving world, there was an expectation. As a babe she was fussy and needy; perhaps knowing that this was the easiest that life would be for her, and that she was going to fight to keep it for as long as she could. She made messes, she threw food. While she was less than perfect in behaviour as a baby, there were rare moments. Moments of silence, of smiling. Happiness. Charlotte had loving parents. Her mother doted and worried over her while her father adored her. She wasn't at a lack of affection as a baby.

When she first met her grandmother was perhaps the moment she knew she was destined to make trouble for the family. The woman was cold and unfamiliar-- Charlotte was only seven-- and she was mean too. She yelled at her mother constantly, and her mother took it. Charlotte had been concerned, when she was a kid, but learned to resent how her mother rolled over when her grandmother, or great aunt, started to lay the accusations down. Charlie refused to be that type of kid. She'd never roll over for anyone.

Going elementary school she relished in the freedom from home. It was hard being away from her father for so long, at times, but she liked keeping things interesting. Going to school was a nice change-up to the usual schedule. Charlie made many friends in school. They found her funny, and special.

Her first instance of power came from blasting a row of chairs over after having a tantrum at home. Her mother had tried to put an ugly dress on her, something with bows and frills that the young and dirty girl didn't want to wear, and she threw a good-old fashioned fit. After seeing the bout of telekinesis, her mother knew that it was time. Charlie was 14 when she was ushered off to Parris-Walcott.

She hated the school. She missed the summers and holidays she'd spent at her father's family farm, with the warm air and the warmer family. They hugged, they accepted her to be a child. They didn't send her off to a boarding school that her own mother taught at. Charlie resented her mother once again for this, for forcing her into this place. At the time she didn't understand the importance of education for a young witch-- and well, she wouldn't to this day.

Parris-Walcott, with her name on almost every surface (and on the abhorish black and blue uniforms), was hell on earth. The witches were either weird as shit or snobby as hell. Charlie had issue finding her place in the school. People wanted to be friends with her for being directly related to the family in charge. There were people who she didn't even know were related to her, cousins, that tried to force their friendship upon her. They were wrong. In light of this revelation, Charlie began to sneak out and skip whenever she could. She tore her uniform, she did everything she could to try and get expelled.

But there was no expulsion at Parris-Walcott.

Her mother, fed up with her antics, let the axe fall over her head. She told Charlie of the horror stories of girls that failed their studies-- the Nicheless. Charlie would have no magic, no life, no importance. She'd be nothing.

Charlie, ever the snarky teen, told her mother that was the life she wanted anyway.

Which, as one would imagine, didn't go over well. It took a good, long conversation with her father to convince her that this was the way to go, and that this was the life she had to lead. Charlie loved her father a lot, and even if he seemed to take the 'evil' side... she wanted to please him. If she did not want to please her mother, her family, or her legacy-- the least that she wanted was to make her father proud.

So she smartened up. She obeyed (enough) and took pity on her stressed mother. When her mother made the announcement that she'd be opening up a school in the south, Charlie was elated and surprised. She hadn't expected a bold move from her mother, nothing like that.

The best part? She'd get to see her dad more often. And maybe, just maybe, she'd have more freedoms if he was around. If she could only convince her mom that hanging out and being a teenager was just as important as becoming an educated witch.

» STYLE;
Definitely more of a rebellious, laidback aesthetic with her clothes. Her jeans are ripped for appeal, but also because she doesn't give a shit if they're torn to shreds (though her mom does, a lot). Charlie likes wearing her dad's flannels and shirts, and is often caught having snatched them from the closet. She wears boots more often than not, liking the sturdiness and security they provide.

» OTHER;
Charlie has a bad habit of smoking cigarettes, but she doesn't tell her mom. Everytime she finds out, regardless.

» BASIC INFORMATION;
Name: Kattia Gabriella Angelos
Nickname(s): Kat, Gabby, Angel
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Role: Hedge Witch

Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blonde
Height | Weight: 5'11" | 143
Tattoos | Piercings: N/A

» PERSONALITY;
Kattia's personality is best described as brash, brazen and all together optimistic. She is fierce and isn't the type to back down from a fight. Yet, she is also not stupid and relies on her own wit rather than trying to actually fight anyone. During her time in the fostercare system she had been thrown around repeatedly causing her to begin to view people with a level of suspicion. At times she couldn't even tell you why she was being moved. To her, it felt like people were abandoning her before she was given a chance to show who she was. These situations repeated several times leaving an impact on her. Though despite this she manages to keep up a smile and look towards something enjoyable rather than the terrible that often surrounded her.

» SKILLS;

Sleight of Hand: Kattia is rather quick at moving her hands as well as being rather gentle with them. While not a fan of pick pocketing she can definitely do it.
Act Like you Belong: Kattia is rather skilled at blending into a crowd and looking like she belongs in a group of people. She has used this to steal food and money whenever possible while she was living on the streets for a year.

» MAGIC NICHE;

Divination-Psychometry: Kattia is naturally attuned towards scrying information and details from objects. It is not something she is actively trying to do, it can rear its head anytime she touches anything with her bare hands. Due to this she has to wear gloves at all time.

» BIOGRAPHY;

Kattia has never known much about where she had come from, who she was or anything in regards to her family. For as long as she could remember she had been within the United States Foster Care System, having been swept up in the Bureaucracy following the death of her parents at the hands of hunters. The years that followed found Kattia going from one foster home to another, never staying anywhere for to long before being moved once more. This terrible game of leap frog finally came to its end when she was 13 and finally found a foster home that would keep her longer than a few months. Kattia's life improved almost immediately, the family very quickly accepting her and trying to make her feel comfortable. Two years passed in relative silence as Kattia went about her life, fate however seemed to have other intentions. When Kattia turned 15 signs of her affinity for magic began to make itself known much to the dismay of Kattia.

The sudden and rapid onset of her magic completely derailed what life Kattia managed to find for herself. While it effected Kattia on a mental level it began to seep into her family life as her adopted family began to catch wind of the things happening surrounding Kattia. Within two months she was beginning to find herself being singled out among the other foster children she lived with. While at first it was nothing major it began to get worse the more her magic seemed to make itself known. Two weeks before her sixteenth birthday Kattia had a small episode in which her magic managed to cause a Tv remote to levitate. The event happened in full view of the entire house and almost immediately she felt consequences as she was chastised by the religious zealots she was beginning to call family.

Fleeing the home following a violent outburst by her foster father Kattia ran away and took off into the streets, leaving everything else she had behind in the home. Unable to find a means to support herself or to even get a job at her age she turned towards the weird events happening in her life in an attempt to find some semblance of order within the chaos. Oddly enough, with concentration came information... before the information seemed to flow without any effort. At first the information pulled from objects seemed like flashes of day dreaming imagination to Kattia, as time progresses she realized that it was less day dreaming and more seeing things that she didn't see personally. The onset of this shook her to the core, she felt like a freak. Was she a devil spawn? Her foster parents seemed to think so and more and more so did Kattia.

Using her 'gift' to help her survive on the street she took up being a street magician, charging people to be freaked out when she guesses where the object they brought her was before. It was through this that she came to the attention of Blythe Walcott. Blythe had Kattia scry over several objects before extending an invitation to Kattia for her to attend her school. Kattia turned down the invitation, still unsure about what was even happening with her. After the reaction of her foster family she was very apprehensive about letting anyone in on what was happening to her.

People however began to take advantage of Kattia, bringing her objects that held serious information rather than a block of wood they found down the street. The worst instance followed an man bringing her a necklace. Thinking nothing of it Kattia ran it between her fingers before feeling a surge flow through her. The information made her feel sick to her stomach, the vivid experience left her floored as her mind came back. Gritting her teeth she threw the necklace back at the man. Only smiling the man turned and walked away. While it seemed like nothing to Kattia it was infact a Hunter responding to claims of magic.

Three days later the Hunters came for Kattia. Running and fleeing from the people that to her seemed to attack her for no reason she did everything she could to hide yet for some reason she couldn't lose the hunters. Following a direct encounter Kattia was injured, having gotten cut across her shoulder before managing to flee once more. If it wasn't for Blythe coming to Kattia's rescue the girl had no doubt that she would have died. Despite her apprehension to become apart of the school she didn't see any other option. She was still hurt and now some people wanted to hurt her. Her mind swam back to what happened to her foster family, to her magic and the men that attacked her. It couldn't all happen for no reason, it was because of her gifts.

» STYLE;
Due to the fact that Kattia has been homeless for a year she has outgrown all of her other clothes and has had to take donations from local homeless shelters. Due to this Kattia doesn't have an established style as she wears anything she can that is clean and not torn up.

Name: Eliza Frost
Nickname(s): N/A
Age:
18
Gender: Female
Role: Witch

Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color:
Black
Height | Weight: 5'7 120 lb
Tattoos | Piercings: Both ears pierced, small tattoo of a moon on her wrist

» PERSONALITY;

The years spent under the American public school system has made Eliza resourceful and cunning. Her father being in law enforcement made Eliza have a niche for finding the truth in everything. This didn't stop her from landing herself in hot water with her teachers and peers occasionally. Other than that she was a social butterfly and didn't bother sticking to a one clique.

Now after the incident that led her to discover her witch heritage, she is still the person she was before… for the most part. Although she has been adjusting just fine at the school, there is a sense of fear when it comes to her powers ever since her friend got hurt. She's a little more reserved about using magic at the moment and will only do so when necessary. This hasn't stopped her from learning more about witchcraft and putting her full attention to her learning at the academy.

» SKILLS;
✶ formal classical piano training
✶ Interrogation: Usually played the bad cop with her dad when interrogating the family dogs and cat about who tore up the couch throw pillows

» MAGIC NICHE;
Conjuration

» BIOGRAPHY;

Eliza Frost was raised by her father, Edward Frost after her mother- Elena Frost abandoned both of them when Eliza was just an infant. What they both did not know about Elena was that she was a witch, a wanted one at that. Not only were hunters after her, but those who supported the Salem Accords were too.

And so Eliza grew up with no knowledge of her witch heritage. There was always a sense of curiosity about her mom but her dad forbade any mention of it. She attended public school and lived life a regular teen. She was just finishing up her senior year of high school when an incident at a party caused Eliza's hands to burst into flames. Only the boy she was with got hurt, but she ended up fleeing from the scene in a panic. Perhaps it was by complete chance that they were in the neighborhood but a pair of hunters soon chased after her with an intent to kill. It wasn't long into the chase when an older witch caught up to them and brought Eliza to the safety of the newly formed Hecate Academy.

Although Eliza was eager to go back home and explain the sudden disappearance to her father, the headmistress of Hecate Academy was able to clean the mess up and convince her to stay. Nonetheless, Eliza wanted to learn more about her witch background and be able to have more control over her powers. There was also the element of finding out what happened to her mother but some feeling and force out there is telling her to look the other way.

» STYLE;
Eliza prefers simple yet stylish and doesn't go for anything overly complicated. She likes darker tones if she can help it but makes an effort to wear a splash of color from time to time.

» OTHER;
Has 2 dogs (Charlie and Benji) and 1 cat (Athena) back home.
Got a love of cheesy 80s pop from her dad (who listened to it ironically at first)

» BASIC INFORMATION;
Name: Clarice Rothman
Nickname(s):
Clara
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Role: Witch

Eye Color: Milky blue/grey
Hair Color: Orange
Height | Weight: 5' 110 lbs
Tattoos | Piercings: Ear piercings, no tattoos

» PERSONALITY;
Clarice is quiet, but has a golden sense of humor. She sees the glass half-full- well, she would if she could see- and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, even when they probably don't deserve it. Always easy to get along with, she's very rarely ever combative but will stick up for her friends if she feels like the situation calls for it. Clarice hates being underestimated, just because she's blind doesn't mean she can't see. Feeling weak and helpless will make her act out and do rather crazy things in order to show others that she isn't weak, or tiny, or fragile. Clarice loves walking barefoot whenever she can.

» SKILLS;
✶ Necromancy
✶ Communications with the dead

» MAGIC NICHE;
Necromancy (in secret), evocation

» BIOGRAPHY;
Born in Paisley, Scotland, little Clarice Evangeline Rothman was born quiet, with her little eyes closed. The pregnancy had been plagued with complications, and Tabitha Griswald and her husband Ariel Rothman had made the agreement that if their child was born sleeping- as the doctors had predicted- one of them would give up their lives to breathe back into Clarice. Unfortunately, to both parents, grandparents and great-grandparents horror, this was the case. Baby Clarice was wrapped in the finest white cotton swaddle, and taken away from her mother into her father's strong, capable arms. An altar had already been prepared, in the large attic of the Rothman home for the sacrifice to be made.

Little Clarice was laid on the quartz slab, and Ariel Rothman cradled and kissed his still-born daughter one last time, before his wrists were slit with two obsidian and gold daggers, inscribed with ancient Hebrew and Aramaic. The grandmothers and great-grandmothers with their infinite wisdom chanted, screamed, mourned, the candles wavering and flickering wildly in the dark attic. Ariel's blood soaked into the quartz, and the bleeding out process took mere minutes. He died, bent over the altar, his bloodied hands soiling the cloth of Clarice's swath. As he breathed his last breath, the flames of the candles blazed wildly, the incantation drawn on the ground in the blood of fresh lambs glowed a bright golden hue, before the room went pitch black.

For several minutes, the grandmothers held onto one another and prayed to Hecate that their bloodline hadn't finished. That their little Clarice Evangeline would breathe. The candles returned alight, and squirming on the quartz altar was a sweet, sobbing baby girl. Her eyes opened wide, and even though a life had been taken in order for her to live, the price was not hefty enough. Hecate had taken Clarice's sight.

Coming from the bloodline of one of the Original 13, Clary had gone through much of her childhood with the upmost care and training, but was often seen and treated like a baby. Her mother was the only one who didn't underestimate her, making the two extremely close. When she was Bat Mitzvah'ed at 13, Tabitha Rothman made the decision to move herself and her daughter to the United States, to attend the very school that Tabitha's best friend was the headmistress of.

To say that Tabitha is Type A would be an understatement. She keeps a planner full of things she needs to do, alotted by time throughout the day, and plans weeks in advance. She's strict with herself, but much more lenient with her students and others. Tabitha is an incredibly devoted mother, but not suffocatingly so. Her daughter has her whole heart, and she would do anything to see her happy and healthy. She's fiercely protective of her girls, and is a bit more guarded with her emotions and likes to keep a professional air about her. However, she is easily overwhelmed and can get a bit snippy, but it fades fast. Tabitha can easily admit when she's wrong, and knows her own shortcomings. She may seem aloof and a bit distant with students, however in private, she will pull out mama-mode and comfort whomever comes to her for any sort of advice. She's not romantic.

» BIOGRAPHY;
Born Tabitha Griswald, she was born in Edinburgh to two loving, doting, wealthy parents. Being from one of the Original 13 families, she grew up with the silver spoon in her mouth and all of the privileges that came with that type of witchery. Private tutors, went to an all-private girl's school, had the best of the best training her for future endeavors. When she hit the age of starting high school, her mother and father made the executive decision to ship her off to America to attend one of the most prestigious with academies in Massachusetts. Upon her arrival, she was delighted by the small class sizes, dedicated teachers and the gorgeous grounds of the academy.

Soon after, she met her best friend. Blythe Walcott and herself didn't start off as friends though- at first, they were rivals, competing to be the best at everything, until they were dormed together after one of her roommates requested a switch. Being forced in the same space together ended up turning them into allies, and then forging their bond into being best friends. They attended each other's weddings, and she traveled back overseas from Scotland to attend the birth of her best friend's daughter, Charlotte. Post graduation, Tabitha moved back to Scotland where she met her lawyer husband, Ariel Rothman. Against her family's wishes, she took his last name and kept it. Ariel came from a long line of witches as well, even though he wasn't blessed with their powers.

The amount of necromancy that Tabitha had performed as a youth and adult had soured her womb. However, with the help of artificial insemination and invitro, she was able to get pregnant with one child. However, shortly after the announcement, Tabitha had visions, as well as the rest of her family, that her daughter would be stillborn. Ariel and Tabitha made a pact, that if their daughter was indeed stillborn, one of them would sacrifice their life for their daughter to live. Ariel took the fall, simply because Tabitha was too sick after the birth to do it herself first. When she came to, she was devastated by the loss of her husband and the blindness and challenges her baby girl would have to face. When Blythe offered her a position at the academy, Tabitha rejected for many years, wanting to raise her only daughter in Scotland around family until she was ready to be shipped off.

And when Clarice was ready to be shipped off, Tabitha couldn't bear to part with her.. so she accepted the other of the three positions at the academy to not only be close to her daughter, but to be with her best friend as well.

» STYLE;
She wears sleek and professional clothing, always wanting to look and feel her best when she's at work. She feels as though the image that you put out to the world- especially to young minds- is key to getting your point across.

Ada is cautious when it comes to making friends and it takes her a long time to trust someone, but when she does she'll be very protective of them. She will easily drop people who've wronged her and she finds it difficult to forgive someone. She has a cynical outlook on life. She tries to be as honest as possible, and is very direct despite her distrust of other people. She is much more of an introvert, and does enjoy being alone. She enjoys adventure and learning new things.

» SKILLS;
✶ she has been skateboarding for about 5 years now, and especially enjoys street skating
✶ gouache and acrylic painting

» MAGIC NICHE;
Illusion

» BIOGRAPHY;
Ada knows pretty much nothing about her parents. Ada was abandoned by her parents, and was put in foster care when the next door neighbor called child protective services after hearing her cries from the empty house. She can’t remember any of her homes before she was 5, but she never stayed too long. She went from home to home, never getting too attached or staying too long, which she had come to accept. She wasn't very interested in school either, and would often skip classes and go out exploring. She was a quiet and strange child, always in her own world. She often ran away for days, not bothering to tell anyone where she was going. When she was 11, her powers started manifesting, and she would make simple illusions often by accident, like changing the color of things for a short period of time.

When she was 13, she was with a family who had many kids. The parents weren't at home a lot, and the older teens took the role of caretakers and teachers with help from the internet. The kids were all unique, and tried their best to be accepting and kind. Ada hadn't been in an environment like this before, and she grew attached to this family. She had grown especially close to a girl named Emma, who was like an older sister to her. These kids became family to her, and she became close enough with the parents to be comfortable enough to call them her mom and dad.

When Ada was 16, money was getting tight at home after their dad lost his job. Ada and some of the other kids found odd jobs, or worked at a grocery store part time if they were old enough to try and help. It was around this time that got really curious about her powers. She did some research on the internet about witches and witchcraft, trying to find others like her. After doing some research online, she found out that a new school for witches was being built in state. She enrolled in Hecate Academy, and though she was sad about leaving her family, she thought it was for the best. She was a bit excited about learning magic, even if she wasn't a big fan of school before. She said her very emotional goodbyes to her family, and was driven by her sister Emma to the school.

» STYLE;
Adeline's style is pretty basic, wearing mostly dark colors. She wears over sized shirts with big corduroy button downs, cuffed jeans, and beat up high top sneakers. Basically generic skater clothes. When she isn't wearing that, she'll wear collared knee-length dresses (think 1950 styled girls dresses).

» OTHER;
Isn't a fan of walruses. They're her secret fear that she has never told anyone about. Big fan of insects though.

Riley is bright, bubbly, and charming. She is just a happy person and tries to make around her happy as well. Her quest for finding happiness does come at the cost of people calling her naive but she does not care. She is emotional and sensitive and will go out of her way to make you feel comfortable. But that's not all that is to her. She is fiercely protective of things that matter to her. If you rub her in the wrong way she might let it slide, but if you do something bad to her friends, her teachers, her school, she will be the first one to go after you. A fiery little rocket this one. She can be a little bit skittish at time. Her mind wanders all over the place and she has a hard time formulating her thoughts into spoken words. Her cheerful demeanor sometimes comes across as shallow but most of the times it is genuine lack of understanding about social cues. Other than this, she is a very curious person, always trying to find out how stuff works and how she can use her abilities to improve its functioning using her abilities.

✶ Polyglot.

Enchantment. Animating non living thing is what she is good at and enjoys the most.

» BIOGRAPHY;
Riley Hart was found abandoned in a Chicago alley. She was one of the few lucky people who get adopted by a family without bouncing around the system too much. Nothing is known about her birth family. She struck the lottery with her adoptive family. They were rich, moved around in elite social circle and were actually quite progressive for the circles she they traveled in. She was given every little bit to excel in whatever she put her mind to, both financial and emotional, from a very young age. Her parents didn't even flinch when she came out to them as gay. She was protected and cherished and nurtured. She realized how lucky she had been. Most of her time was spent leaning languages, both modern and ancient. On the surface, most of her childhood was sugar and spice and everything nice but there were hiccups all the way over. Learning complex languages was way too easy for. Her writing homework would be done too fast. Stuff in general would just go her way lot of the time. People, most of the time, cherish normalcy. That ended for for Riley when she was 12. Her parents were out for some chores and she was hungry. Unknowingly she made the whole kitchen cook her a meal. When her parents came back all they saw was a spatula stirring a pot of what they though was soup. The suspicions that they had been justifying had just been confirmed. Their daughter was a witch. This was the first time Riley had ever had thought of being abandoned and lonely in her entire life. Her first sour memory. The 24 hours of doubt in her family defined her pragmatism and fueled her hunger to find her her birth "parents".Her parents came around. For such a major realization, it was quite fast. That's when it became "Everyone deserves at least two chances" became her motto. They accepted her for who and what she was and as soon as she was16, she was transferred from her private school to the Walcott School (no doubt helped by her family's social standing) where for the next 4 years she was going to learn everything there was to learn about enchantments there is to learn as well as a couple forgotten magical languages.The school was way too elitist but she studied hard and there she realized that being who she was could be dangerous. Under the constant threat of raids from witch hunters, she perfected her animation spells. Reading runes to find long forgotten defensive spells, she turned herself into the model student who realized that there were a lot of people in the world who wanted to end her just because who they were. Before the start of her last year at Walcott, she heard that her favorite teacher was moving south to found a more progressive, more accepting school. For Riley, there was no other option but to transfer to the Hecote Academy and be a part of the change she wanted to see.

» STYLE;
Plaid flannel shirt unbuttoned over a band t-shirt of some sort with leggings usually (if you've lived in North America in the fall you know what i am on about). She will occasionally wear a light bohemian dress or skirt. While she wouldn't dress up usually, she does not mind wearing formal wear if the occasion calls for it. Besides that she always has couple leather bracelets on her left wrist and a battered watch on her right. Also she is wearing a time-turner and a deathly hallows necklace almost all the time.

» OTHER;
If she isn't around people, she has her headphones in her ears and is playing some sort of punk music. She releases her angst that way.

» BIOGRAPHY;
Born to a big Texas family down South, Thomas Stanbridge was raised out in the sticks on his daddy’s farm. From the moment he could walk he was put to work, rising before school to help feed cattle and squeezing in homework around the intense harvest months. Quiet moments were hard to find being the third of five siblings, squabbling was a second language and the money was always a little tight but they made it work. Each of them had love and attention, each of them was something real special just waiting to be discovered - or so their father used to say. They went to church every Sunday with combed hair and shiny shoes, learned about God, about sin, how to read the good book and recite the good word. Thomas wouldn’t be a faithful churchgoer come adulthood, but he still retained the lessons he learned. Kindness, calmness, and forgiveness above all, would prove to make you a better man.

Yet in that small country town, nobody knew anything about witches. You heard about them, they popped up in the history books and the headlines, but it was as if they were a world away. Ignorance was bliss and blissfully did they live without the added knowledge there may be dark and magic things waiting. Hot, hazy summers of his childhood were preoccupied with high school sweethearts and drinking in the backwoods.

Never having the head for academics, Thomas was every bit a hands-on country boy. Fixing engines, helping with crops, patching fences and doing the odd job repairs needed to keep something off the brink a little longer. He learned quickly, got himself an apprenticeship as an electrician at seventeen before moving on to driving long haul trucks cross-country. At 21 he was hauling to and fro various Southern states and then further North till he hit New England. Work took him all the places he never had the money to visit, so he kept at it. It would be during his travels that he’d meet his future wife, Blythe Walcott. The love of his life, there’d be no one else for him. There couldn’t be.

She was soaked, standing miserably with her thumb out when he pulled over. Cleaned up something pretty and Thomas took pity on the girl, so he did what any good gent would do. Took her to some dingy diner off the road and bought her coffee, where they’d sit and talk for hours. To repay the favour Blythe read his palm and that meeting was one he wouldn’t forget. He’d come to learn she was from another world entirely, far beyond that of his little town. They kept in touch and carried on the relationship over five years before Blythe fell pregnant. The accident prompted them to get married, a shotgun ceremony in Vegas before they even thought about telling his now mother-in-law. Thomas ended up taking on Blythe’s surname in lieu of the situation, knowing that he had brothers to carry on his family legacy where the Walcotts had none.

It ended up working out, it always did. For years they moved around, Tom would be on one side of the country whilst Bly was elsewhere but there was trust and above all, support. Thomas would try and find work where he could that was nearby, raising Charlotte with the woman he loved to the best of their abilities. It didn’t matter as long as he knew that at the end of the day, they would be together again.

Charlotte, however, was and still is, the apple of his eye. From the second she was born to the years that would follow he doted on his daughter. Inspiring a hobby of technical work with Lottie up to her elbows in engines and sanding down her first hand-made stool. Thomas was the calming heart and hearth of the house, always tinkering or content with watching, he's developed an excellent therapeutic presence when it comes to listening to other people’s strife.

Supporting his wife’s new venture and the school, Thomas is happy just to have his family together in one place.

Name: Matias James Williams
Nickname(s): Matt, Jimmy (by family)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Role: Witch Hunter

Eye Color: Hazel/Green
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Height | Weight: 6'0" & aprox. 175lbs
Tattoos | Piercings: n/a

» PERSONALITY;
Matias comes across as a lighthearted, positive, charming young man who makes numerous jokes which rely on his verbal agility, taste for absurdity, and often cynical outlook on life. He feels comfortable in the role of class clown, which he obviously uses to camouflage his lack of life experience and assertiveness. Somehow, Matt manages to be both witty and "not particularly intelligent". He’s far from dumb, but his acumen is much more focused on what his Father would call "trivialities" than on taking charge of his own life and solving problems by himself. Mattias, however, does have a slight dark side. This comes out most often in his frustration, during the times when things don't exactly go as planned, and the time for humor has long past. At this point, he becomes a somewhat depressed, sarcastic figure, ready to verbally strike out at even his closest friends and physically strike out at the nearest furnishings.
Matt is wary around witches, given his education. He can be assuaged into collaborating, but the suspicious glares will never stop. Even so, he’s not antagonistic about witchcraft. It’s closer to amused cynicism.

» SKILLS;
✶ Smoking copious amounts of weed and still appearing sober
✶ Touch-null

» MAGIC NICHE;
Magic Nullification

» BIOGRAPHY;
Growing up, Matias was always in the shadow of his older brother. No matter how much he tried, nothing ever seemed good enough. Eventually, he stopped trying and he stopped caring whether or not his remained proud of him. They were so busy focused on Richard that Matt began to fade slowly into the background. There were more than a few occasions where his parents probably forgot they even had a second son. Like Rich, Matt was enrolled in Ozwall Academy as soon as he turned 16. Unlike Rich, Matt didn't care enough about hunting to put his all into his education. The way he saw it, the Williams' family already had their precious heir and all Matt had to do was stick it out until he graduated. He had dreams of leaving Lousiana, travelling the world without anyone telling him where to go or who to talk to, and following his passion for music.

» STYLE;
On a good day Matias might look as if he had stepped straight out of an 80s era magazine, donning some combination of high-waisted jeans, baggy t-shirts, sweater-vests, and a jean jacket. On a particularly uncaring day he might have the appearance of a "homeless" person decked out in too-big sweatpants and a well worn hoodie. Sometimes the looks even co-mingle, but despite Matt's strange taste almost every article of clothing he own smells slightly of weed.

» OTHER;
Likes: Music, Weed, Chocolate, Coffee, Dogs, Humor, Thunderstorms
Dislikes: Being Serious, His Parents, Bullies, know-it-alls, bad things happening to good people

Tattoos | Piercings: A large tattoo on his back of a koi fish scene

» PERSONALITY;
Bram Crowe is a pretty cool dude. He's pretty non-judgmental, and has a strong moral compass, but not polarizingly so. He's compassionate and empathetic, loyal till the very end, and he's got a golden sense of humor. He's very goofy and is often the one to find the silver lining in any less than optimal situation. He's quick on his feet, creative, and bubbly. However, due to his openness and large heart, he's easily wounded and takes things personally. Bram's not easy to anger, and he's often afraid to express his anger and upset feelings with loved ones because he's so used to being relaxed and forgiving that he fears holding others accountable will make him come across as insincere or that he won't be taken seriously. Because of his goofiness, he's also scared that others don't take him seriously when he really needs to be. When Bram does get angry, which is rarely, he gets irrationally so and it's totally emotionally driven, and he can't see logic. Bram's a ladies man and is quite romantic and a true gentleman.

» SKILLS;
✶ Excellent sight
✶ Naturally gifted tracker

» MAGIC NICHE;
Magic nullification, barrier building.

» BIOGRAPHY;
Bram comes from a line of witch hunters, not dating back super far, only beginning with his grandparents on his father's side. His mother is a witch hunter as well, but began as a teenager after her brother was hexed and went insane. His parents day jobs were mundane- his father was a gym teacher, and his mother was a nurse. He was born with ease, and was a very relaxed and easy-going baby. Only ever woke his parents up in the middle of the night less than five times, never made a fuss in public, and as he grew older, he had a very middle-class ordinary upbringing. Bram grew up going to church and singing in the church choir, until he got old enough to think it was kinda weird and decided to just play guitar and sing at home instead.

Bram Crowe never had a shortage of friends, and was an outgoing and rambunctious kid. He was everything ordinary, an all-American kiddo. Handsome, tall, athletic and had that fine arts talent. When he grew old enough, his father began to take him out hunting. Not witch hunting, but regular hunting. His father taught Bram how to track animals, how to hold a gun and shoot, how to spot the slightest of unnatural movements in environments where everything was moving. This developed into a natural love for guns, and for shooting. For this 12th birthday, Bram got his first crossbow, which he used religiously until he grew out of it, when the Ozwall Academy gifted the alums child with a military grade crossbow. After graduating middle school, he was enrolled in the academy that both of his parents went to.

There, he met his life long best friends Huxley, Harriet and Matt. Bram naturally fit in with the bunch because he was so lax and easy to relate to. His tracking and hunting skills put him at the forefront of the barrier-casting class, and if often remarked about as a prodigy of sorts.

» STYLE;
Bram is a large fan of sweaters that look like they're ripped from the 80's and 90's, bomber jackets, and well-fitting jeans. When he's not wearing patterned sweaters, he likes to wear graphic tee's of his favorite old grunge bands. On the back of his favorite bomber, he has a lot of patches, and he likes to wear comfy shoes.. hospital socks are his favorite.

» OTHER;
His besets buddies in the whole wide world are Matt, Huxley and Harriet.

» PERSONALITY;
Piper is a person rarely seen without the slightest crack of a smile. Optimism and incessant laughing is an accurate description of how Piper is on a daily basis. She is almost childlike in her behaviors and very expressive in her exaggerated gestures. It is impossible how Piper never runs out of energy, as if her “battery” has an infinite lifespan. In conversations and friend groups, she’s the one initiating every conversation and clearly unafraid of being the center of attention. However, she does have a tendency to lose interest quickly and therefore not stay on topic for a long duration of time. Due to this, one can also find her daydreaming at the most unordinary of times; it takes a lot to bring her back to Earth. Those rare moments where she is serious only emphasizes the severity of a situation and only then will she begin to act more mature. In other atypical moments, Piper may break down from the piling of stress she had carefully hidden from her peers. Thence, one of her main criticisms is her secretive behavior and inability to share her true thoughts and emotions with her loved ones. It is not that she does not want to, but Piper feels as if she is burdening her friends with her problems. After all, loneliness is one of her major fears, something she has nightmares about every other night. Her behaviors may also mirror this fear; displaying clinginess, separation anxiety, and refusal to sleep alone being only a few of these mentioned behaviors. Such actions may lead someone to believe that Piper is very puppy-like in nature, and they could not be closer to the truth. When rejected, she will visibly falter (though her smile will still be present) and is occasionally known to make sounds very similar to a whimper (even she does not know the reason for this habit).

A dominating part of Piper’s personality is her creativity. Ever since Piper was a child, she displayed a love for all things artistic and imaginative. Her dream career has always been to become a magician, as she adored watching her father travel the world and perform acts of wonder for an audience of hundreds. Even though every magician’s trick has been debunked and outed as a fake, Piper wants to bring something entirely knew to the table. Something much more real.

tumblr_inline_o685g4vP8K1sc3ygs_500.gif

» SKILLS;

1. Magician tricks: Piper knows an extensive amount of magic tricks, from basic card illusions to deceptive tactics that could make anyone question their own existence. She loves doing these in her free time and surprising any she may come across. However, being a part of Hecate Academy, it seems like magic tricks are considered to be more mundane than it Is mysterious.
2. Baking: Piper has a sweet tooth, and in order to satisfy her insatiable hunger for all things sugary, she bakes. If anyone needs delectable cupcakes, beautifully decorated cakes, or even scrumptious scones, then Piper is your gal.

» MAGIC NICHE;
Illusions: Piper specializes specifically in illusions that are very similar to a magician’s tricks (flocks of doves, random bunnies popping out of nowhere, fireworks, bouquets of flowers, etc). In fact, the way she uses her magic may come off as childish and useless to other witches (and she, unfortunately, takes that to heart).

Then, the next moment Life takes away your mother, ruins the support system you grew up with, and destroys the houses that held within it all of your most precious memories. Crazy how Life works, huh?

When Piper was born on the midnight of December 18th, her parents were ecstatic about the bundle of joy that was delivered straight into their lives. Throughout infancy, Piper’s mother was the primary caretaker as her father, a magician, often times performed for his audiences in prestigious concert halls and stadiums until the late evening. There are only a few things Piper remembered about her mother, her warm smile, the way she embraced her so affectionately, how she’d sing her to sleep and cast illusions onto the ceiling of the storybooks she read to Piper. She was too young to fully understand how her mother was able to conjure up such “spells ,” and thought of it as normal—since displays of magic was all she was exposed to. Some nights, they were able to watch Piper’s father be grandiose with the mysterious tricks he’d do, earning him applaud after applaud.
As she grew closer to the age of 5, her parents were beginning to discuss about education options for her. Once again, they were speaking of dangers she could not comprehend, and when curiosity would get the better of her, her parents would skillfully dodge her inquiries. After careful planning, her parents came to conclusion of homeschooling their daughter instead of allowing for her to attend a public/private school. It was a much safer solution, and with the frequent traveling, it only made sense. When she was about 8 years old, her father would teach her magician tricks in an attempt to distract her from certain topics at hand. Especially after attending so many of her father’s shows, Piper soon became obsessed with the idea of magic. She so desperately wanted to become a magician like her father and follow in his footsteps to become as loved by the public as he is. Her mother did appreciate those precious moments of joy when Piper would finally figure out a trick and immediately show off to her mother. However, her mother had wanted to try and awaken any magical attributes Piper may have inherited from her. Even so, any strategies her mother utilized became of no use to her, as the only magic Piper could perform at the moment were the mundane tricks her father taught her. It was frustrating to her mother, to say the least, but in a way it did protect Piper in the long run.
To further her suspicions, Piper could remember times when moving was an absolute necessity. She’d overhear her father hastily cancelling all shows within the area and her mother abruptly moving all of their belongings into the car. Within the next day, they were already on the road and wary of any strangers they may meet along the way. They’d prevent Piper from speaking to anyone her parents did not know and steered her away from men especially. Even if Piper was young and inexperienced with the world, she was not as oblivious as her parents made her out to be.
____________________
Piper was around 12 years old when she and her father were to flee from their humble home as her mother was left to fend off against ruthless hunters. They did not leave her on purpose, as her mother had wanted for her husband and child to live while she died in honor. Yet, Piper still recalls her father blaming himself for his wife’s death with every night that passed. As for Piper herself, she’d push away the memories of that night as a defense mechanism in order to handle the onset of a breakdown.
Her father then saw that telling Piper late is better than never, and took the time to sit her down in order to fully explain the dangers they’ve been running away from all her life. He made sure to not skip over any details, he taught her about the hunters, about witches, about the red flags to look for—everything. Initially Piper was frightened and overwhelmed by the inflow of information. Though, she was very proud of her father doing such a deed, now she finally was able to see the justification in the precautions her parents took to protect her.
____________________
Within the two year span of silence, her father as getting increasingly anxious of hunters coming again for his daughter. The thought of losing another loved one drove him to madness and he immediately canceled all of his future shows. Him and his daughter had to make do with the money saved up for emergencies since he prohibited any contact with the outside world. They had to lie low in the likely case that they were followed.
At age 14, after everything seemingly died down, her father was forced to return to his magician career in search of additional funds. However, she saw her father lose the interest of the public due to not having that same appeal. Watching the audience boo her father was enough to anger the girl, and in order to prove them wrong, she (accidentally) caused a flock of doves to escape from the jacket of her father. The act suddenly quieted the crowd, some even screamed in fright at the abrupt appearance of the birds, but after seeing them disappear they all began clapping (ignorantly thinking it was just a beautifully executed illusion). Her father, instead of being joyful for his daughter’s quick thinking, was horrified by the act and directly after the show told his daughter to never do that again.
“Practicing magic is dangerous, that’s what got you mother killed. I never want you doing that again, do I make myself clear?”
____________________
However, that did not stop Piper from trying to incorporate this newfound magic into her mundane magic tricks. Yet, she failed with every trick, blowing up right in her face with each fruitless attempt.
With a heavy heart, her father realized that hiding her was not going to do her any good. From one of her mother’s friends, her father was informed of Hecate Academy and saw it as a way for his daughter to both learn about her origins as well as be safe from any hunters. At least they could protect her far more effectively than how he can (since he still felt responsible for his wife’s death).
Therefore, at age 16, Piper enrolled into Hecate Academy and was very excited at that, she was going to admit. But leaving her father took more of a toll on her than both of them had thought. At first she refused the idea entirely, fearful that the hunters would come and interrogate her father in order to find her. She’d even cry during these confrontations when her father firmly insisted on her enrolling into the academy. After a month, and hours of coaxing, she finally accepted. Though she was reluctant to step on that train heading for Louisiana, she was happy to facetime and call her father the entire time she was traveling.
At least she’ll have somewhere safe to go, and will not put her father in danger by merely being around him. She could only hope that her father would be safe as well.

» STYLE;
Piper has a love for the vintage style of clothing. She also adores big over-sized t-shirts, high-waisted jeans, and overalls. As for accessories, she'd either wear glasses or very vibrant, round sunglasses. She likes the look of formal jumpsuits and suits in general, due to her love for traditional magician wear. Examples of such include the following:

giphy.gif

» OTHER;

- A common illusion that she is seen with would be mirage of monarch butterflies flying around her. These butterflies will become more numerous the more she escapes via daydreaming (so knowing she’s not exactly listening to you will be more than obvious).
- Her illusions are based upon her emotions, as well. If she is happy, then any illusions she casts (or unconsciously casts) will be more light-hearted and harmless. The opposite will happen if she experiences any negative emotions, and by not having full control over her powers, the illusions may get more nightmarish the longer she stays in this mood.

Cecily has always had a wild side, untamed by both man and her sisters. She may not seem like it with her subdued 'laid back' attitude, but she is full of energy. Ready to take on anything and everything that's thrown her way. She's a people person at heart, always up for meeting someone new. She's her best when it's night - surrounded by sweaty strangers in a club that blares almost deafening music ... which is why she was drawn to where she currently is in life. Two words she'd use to describe herself would be,
Fierce
And
Fun.

Illusion,

The ability to trick the eye and the mind. Projecting things that aren't really there, and disguising things that are. The mind can play tricks on you, but witches play them harder. Much harder.

» BIOGRAPHY:

Illegitimate daughter of philanthropist Victor Sinclair and his Korean housemaid. She was raised in secret, her mother receiving child support more than frequently. However, when her mother grew ill and passed away - Victor saw only fit to take her in. She was a lively child, fascinated by the world around her. She begun to show signs of being a witch when she was nine, when Victor arrived home from a business meeting to find that she had turned their cat's fur a completely different colour - no dye used.

Victor wasn't sure whether it was his blood or the blood of Cecily's mother that was ... special. But, once he was over the initial fear, he decided it was on him and his family line. So, he sought help. Eventually landing CeCe in a very prestigious school for young spellbinders.

CeCe was a bit of an outcast at Parris-Walcott. Which wasn't like her whatsoever. She was an outgoing person, but there was a certain elitism amongst the other girls. One day, she couldn't take it anymore. And so she left the academy, prematurely. Returning home to her father. Victor welcomed her back with the openest of arms. But he died soon after her return, leaving her a small fortune in his will ( the rest going to his legitimate children ).

CeCe took that money and ran.
Finding refuge in the city of sin. She bought a nice apartment and found herself working as a magician's assistant, ironically. She worked her way up in the magical entertainment industry, soon landing her own stage show. Soon followed by a television show. She's a C list celebrity now at best. Scoring gigs and shows whenever ( sometimes even outside of Vegas ). Her status as a witch is one that is currently in the closet. To the world, she is just a simple magician. A celebrity con artist.

But she's much more than that.

Focused, with a hardened shell. Harriet is that bitch. She excels at everything she puts her mind to, which, for now, is mostly her studies - and her training. She's a prodigy of sorts. Young and talented with a fire inside her found unmatched by any other hunter of her age. She's cold and calculating, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's evil. There's not really that cruel a bone in her body ... but if there was, she'd make sure you did not know it. She's often plagued by self doubt - and hates people who are "sickeningly nice".

» BIOGRAPHY:

Born Hudson James Locke,

Harriet knew who she really was from a very early age and began transitioning shortly after her eleventh birthday. Her parents were ... supportive enough. Her mother more so. Her father - to this day - still has qualms with her quote on quote "lifestyle" but he's coming around. It's hard to change the minds and the ways of a family of witch hunters, but Harriet is doing so. She has been doing so.

She's in a ... unique situation as of now. While she identifies and is a woman, she was born with the very abilities bloodline hunters are born with. And they haven't gone away, even during her transitioning. In fact, they've gotten stronger. More powerful. Her father, James Locke, saw it only fit that she attend Ozwall. Because she would be, without a doubt, the best of the best. So she enrolled alongside her twin brother, Huxley.
And she soon found out ...
She was the best.

Now,
She approaches her final year at the academy. And she's ready to take on whoever comes her way.

Witches beware.

» STYLE:

Her style is seductive, but not overly so. Tomboyish, with a lot of shown skin. Tank tops and shorts and the lightest of vests. She loves a sneaker AND a heel. And she's very fond of a beige denim jacket her mother bought for her years ago, wearing it constantly. Her ears are usually with studs and she has a gre-black belly button piercing.

» OTHER:

She's a Gemini.

» PERSONALITY;
Harry is a nice guy. Not even in a sardonic, internet-defined way; he is literally a nice guy. Mean bones don't exist in Harry's body, and that's probably because he takes them out and stores them for people he finds particularly distasteful. He's not violent or confrontational in any way, but he isn't afraid to try and be upfront about the situation in order to diffuse a complication. Harry loves family, and he treats them better than he may treat himself some days. The boy is still learning a healthy version of caring for his own future instead of focusing on others and how to make them do better. He's very sweet, and a bit of a flirt-- but it's all in good taste. He's loyal, got great morals, and wouldn't hurt a fly. However, Harry is also quite naive. Not that he hasn't seen shit or experienced his fair share of rotten events, but he's a bit... simple. He's silly, far from serious, and assumes the best in people. It wouldn't be hard to take advantage of him; but it'd be damn hard if you've got a heart to tell him that and see the look of betrayal on his face.

» SKILLS;
✶ Sweet, smooth, molasses accent and demeanor that can brighten the cloudiest days
✶ Honest to god, one of the best football players at Belle Chasse Highschool

» MAGIC NICHE;
N/A

» BIOGRAPHY;
Harry lived in Texas most of his life with his family. They were always close, living on the same side of town and spending every holiday together. He grew up on a farm and worked his butt off on the summer vacations. He never complained, loving the sun on his back and the accomplishment at the end of the growing season. It would be hard to dissect any really awful things that had happened to Harry as a child, as there were none. No abuse in the family, no abandonment... just joy. Love. Family.

It's not that Harry doesn't realize that witches exist; he does, he's not that simple. Whether or not he believes it is another thing. He hasn't had any experience with them except for the few oddballs at his school that would pretend they had magic powers. Turns out they never did, and the girls would get in trouble for pretending. Harry was always curious, but the next most interesting thing would take his attention.

Come high-school things became interesting. As soon as he could, he signed up for a flurry of sports. Football, baseball, anything. He wanted to keep himself busy, as he'd met a girl that summer. She was mysterious, cute. They'd had a brief affair at the park, mostly, when they had privacy. At the end of the summer, however, she'd broken up with him without any explanation. She'd left a note and then disappeared. That was it. A strange, random event that ended up breaking the boy's heart.

» STYLE;
Country boy to a T, Harry wears plain t-shirts or the occasional jean button up (always folded to the elbows). His clothes are usually stained with grass or oil, but he calls it 'rustic'. He's got his trusty pair of jeans with a fashionable belt buckle (that changes, depending his mood), and a nice pair of kicks. He saves his boots for work at the farm or special events. Would you catch him in a cowboy hat? No, the hat hair is atrocious on him.

» OTHER;
Works at the local southern comfort grill. Tom Walcott's nephew.
