For me there is also a change in writing style. In an rp you have to be more mindful about leaving openings for the other person to respond to.

Yeah, that's the thing. I know I can get around the issue by doing fantasy or making my own religions. But to me that's not really the point. I want to be able to write about religions that we have in the world already, the more well known ones.

I usually make a faceclaim myself using Picrew, because finding a picture that is similar to what I have in mind for a character is almost impossible for me. If someone insists on having a realistic faceclaim then AIs do a pretty good job of generating faces that don't really exist.
