I think I might join, Mayby a Shadowy investor funding projects that it values, and further A.G.I legal rights, it has managed to become legally a corporation.
Would it be alright if I made a dissident Human faction? They arent at war with Earth they just have a different society. If not, I could play a post-singularity alien society
Aww that sucks, I was hoping to create a "magipunk" nation, basically cyberpunk, but some of the technology is actually magic, like magical internet and stuff...and spell hackers
I think I might join, creating a culture of Insect people who are still in the late interplanetary age, perhaps they have met one of the other races as "visitors" and might have reverse engineered FTL stuff...or perhaps that could happen in the roleplay an Alien scientist stowing away on a ship
How are we defining humanoid? I was thinking of having 4 arms. and we are defining person solely by appearance? what about an intelligent tool using octopus?
It doesnt give much information, just asks whether or not the character is magically inclined and what the abilities are? but it doesnt really explain what magic IS or how it works.
I'm not bitching. Anyway, what exactly is the species like and what kind of cultures do they have, what kind of things is good for them, is the individual or the state more important or,like in humanity does that depend on culture. I like playing as alien characters and this is important...
Have you ever read footfall? it had an interesting idea, The aliens didn't invent the technology themselves, they were once the pets of another race, but that race went extinct and left behind guides on using the technology. while the aliens got the technology they didnt actually know how to do...
Why chose earth rather than mars, mercury or venus, or their own sun, what resource are they lacking? also biologically, what are they, or are they post-biological?
Can I be an Alien working with one of the crews in order to try to ensure the orb is in safe hands (either working with the heroes or planning to betray the villains?)
I'm pretty sure that's just the opposite of hard sci-fi, with the whales with black holes for mouths, not saying i'm against it. But I could probably make an interesting nation just have to decide on whether I want to be augmented humans or augmented aliens.
Where did you come from? I personally prefer harder sci-fi, but thats too hard to do with a nation game obviously. I might be interested in playing as some kind of alien or transhuman faction just chillin around, not wanting to get involved in wars that don't involve them other than to try to...
