Sharks have been here longer, as well reptiles, notochords. One of my major professors told me that if you put the history of the world on a 24 hour clock, humanity is the last 30 seconds
I mean... they're intelligent on human level so... (wait, is it even possible to bone vampires? Wouldn't that be necrophilia? Do they even have working reproductive systems?)
I think it depends on intent. Like, are you sexing up the vampire because you genuinely love them and want to be with them? Or do you just get off on having sex with dead things. Big difference there.
it is what humans do to lesser beings. There were sabretooth tigers with evolved jaws that allowed them to kill a human or a chimp in mere seconds. We hunted them to extinction...
But if there were beings like fae and vampires who have similar if not superior intelligence and powers on top of that how would they be lesser beings? Not to mention that groups of humans and other sentient mythical creatures would probably try to save at least some of the species and if said mythical creatures advanced like humans rather than staying in some perpetual medieval time like in many fiction books then
Well if you give vampires butt loads of unrealistic abilities then sure, they would be harder to kill. Like vampires cannot turn into a Bat because that just does not fit into our world as that'd bend the laws of our reality. As long as you keep it within the realms of realism and have the humans vastly outnumber the creatures in question, then the creatures won't stand a chance.
If the creatures conformed into the laws of realism that kind of takes away their whole mythical and what if part. Like a fairy isn't just any humanoid with bug wings, the magic is just kind of a part of the creature. Also if there's things like undead creatures that are fully sentient and shapshifters I don't think this is a realistic what if.
if there is the possibility of creatures evolving into magic, then I am pretty sure more creatures would have magic changing teh entire climate around life on earth. In the end, the most intelligent species that prefers working together to fighting each other will replace humans as the dominant species
