Yeah, that's kind of the major problem there, ain't it. They decided that clearly, you can't be female without a rack, even if your a robot.

It's a battle between radical femnists, regular femnists, robophiles, hardcore transformers fans, radical transformers fans, and people who want the idiots to shut their pie holes cause it's already bad enough when they complain about toy colors.

The thing is, if one robot has distinctly female only-traits (like the aforementioned "rack") and the other ones only have a male voice nothing else, then the latter can in fact be genderless. Just because the voice actor is male, that just means the character may have a thicker voice , not that the character being portrayed is male.
