I’m a very visual oriented person, so I like images. However, images don’t quite always fill in the gaps, so descriptive parts are necessary to fill them in

If you draw/render the images yourself, or take from one source that has a consistent art or picture style, then images would be helpful to use images. Of course, this is for using one or more images per post. Using an image once in a while doesn't really change much.

Personally I'd say if you have no way of producing images of a similar style, then descriptions would work. It also leaves it up to the reader's (1/2)

Thank you all for the feedback! To clarify my question, the thing about images is that I can't produce them. Hence, using images limits what appearances for instance, certain characters or places may have to the existing pool of images on the internet. If that makes sense.
