Our LGBT Life

I found myself craving an LGBT themed roleplay for quite a while and especially lately. I know some people already made some but I always noticed them too late. If you watched The L Word you might know what I am aiming for (just keep the RPN rules in mind please, so no sexual content, fade to black!) or think of it as an LGBT version of Sex and the City with a bit more drama and if you didn’t watch the shows its absolutely no problem because its not based on the shows, just inspired by them. Anyway, let's get to the point hehe.

The roleplay would be about a group of LGBT+ members living in the same city (I was thinking either San Francisco or LA). They would be friends (with the exception of the ‘new girl’ that moves to their neighborhood and will start getting to know them or the new people that enter the groups lives like new partners, family, etc…) and go through all sorts of things together. It will be a rather easy going roleplay but I still want you to have a semi decent grammar and not post one liners (a small paragraph per post should be possible to write up I think).

The roleplay would be more character driven so I would need people that can contribute to the story without being afraid to add some drama, romance, breakups, makeups, things and struggles that come with being a member of the LGBT community to the story. But let's not forget the good times our characters would have, like parties, birthday celebrations, housewarming parties, moving together or apart, events at their favorite meeting spot (a bar they go to almost every day to chat, be each others support, have fun, etc…) and more.




A FEW ROLES I THINK WOULD BE COOL TO HAVE IN THIS RP: (6 females and 4 males maximum)


- The player (gets every girl and sometimes even turns straight ones, even if for only one night, lesbian)

- The serial dater (falls in love hard and fast but also falls out of love quite quickly so the relationships are short and many since the serial dater, while in love, always thinks the other might be the one)

- The couple (can be played by two people or by one and they aren’t stuck together throughout the whole roleplay, there can be cheating, breakups, makeups, a wedding, etc… I leave that all up to you to decide)

- The athlete (in the closet)

- The bisexual (I was thinking one male and one female but it depends on the interest I guess)

- The transgender

- The drama queen

- The New girl (was straight yet seemed to occasionally question that fact, once she meets the group she finally comes to terms with her sexuality and admits she’s not straight. Maybe she meets someone special, maybe she just gets to see if you have the right people around you you don’t need to hide who you are or maybe there is something else that leads to her ‘revelation’, again up to you)

- Other roles you can think of that aren’t too similar to the ones already listed.

Hey! I think I'd be interested in playing the serial dater - male.

Its great to see that there is some interest! You don't have to reserve roles but its still great to see which ones got your interest more. Also if anyone wants a role that isn't on the list it's also cool but it would be nice to run your idea by me first.

I think I may be interested in making either a bisexual or trans girl. Or a trans girl who's bisexual, that's a concept.

I kind of have an idea for maybe a character who is kind of A mixture of being non-bianary, coming out of the closet, and maybe kind of an emo geeky girl and kind of her experience getting into the lgbtq community, so in summary...interested, very very interested!

I'd love to play a trans character, though I'd also love to play a character that's part of the couple. Maybe a character that's part of the couple but also trans or nonbinary?

Your ideas are totally cool. I will make the threads today and if there will be other people interested they can still join of course.

We could use a femme or two but it's still cool that you guys are interested! I will have the OOC up shortly in case you want to plan, talk, ask me something etc... And the CS will be up a but later today. In any case I will tag you so you will know when it's online.

I am debating about that. Is someone called a player when he/she doesn't really have a relationship with someone yet has a one night stand with whoever he/she wants??

Oh right, and the roles are mostly just examples to prevent too many of the same personality. You guys can come up with your own roles, in case I didn't clarify it before : )
