- Length-wise, I like to be as immersive as I can, describing the setting, senses, memories, reactions. So, my replies are little on the longer side. (anywhere between 300-1000+ words… oof haha.) I'd also appreciate the same- I don't have a certain length that I 'require' or anything like that, but I'll probably lose interest if you hit me with some one-liners. I can also provide writing samples if you'd like.
- In other words, I'm definitely looking for someone who loves adventure and worldbuilding as well. Since most worlds I've lived in generally tend to have more than just two people, this means we should both have multiple characters.
- I'm all for ooc chat, but on my end it'll probably be focused on the rp- planning, plotting, brainstorming. That kind of thing.
- Romance-wise, I'm a fan, but I'd rather have it be secondary to the story/adventure element. I'm more partial to m// romance, but honestly, if we both get invested in the story, there'll probably be opportunities for romance and pairings of all kinds. I'm also cool with relationships being platonic, as well.
- I just don't want to force someone to play a certain type of character for the sake of romance.

- I'm most hyped for a pokemon rp at the moment but if you have another adventure plot in mind, feel free to pitch it to me as well lol.

Plot Ideas: I find that simply having a 'pokemon adventure', while lots of fun to think about, isn't usually enough to build an rp around. So, here's some ideas that I have to get us started. But, I'd love to hear yours as well! You can respond to this thread but I'll check PMs faster.
I really adored the vibe that the new games took- turning pokemon battles into huge public spectacles, and removing the elite four with the champion's cup. For this plot, we could create a handful of rivals and maybe an array of gym leaders as well, then just build and plot their adventure! I'd like to keep things simple to start with, and we can get more complex and developed as the story goes on. That being said, I'm also a fan of how new games introduce new 'gimmicks'. So while I'm pretty much only for using canon pokemon, I think it would be fun to create a new incarnation of mega evolution/gigantamax/ whatever plot device, to use as well.
Ever wonder where the professors of each region go to train? In the center of the world, there's an elite institution dedicated to the study and research of pokemon and pokemon-related phenomenon. After a rigorous admissions process, each scholar is dedicated to the research of a single occurrence- perhaps shiny pokemon, or the connections between ghost pokemon and the afterlife, or even the existence of legendary pokemon. In this plot, we could create student researchers conducting their projects and experiments across the globe, people who want to steal their secrets, or anything in between.
There's a lot of opportunity for evildoers in the pokemon world. I think that I'd want to explore something here that's a little more messed up in theme, with our characters taking the stance that you should be able to take whatever you want from the environment- which obviously goes against all the morals of the game/show. Anyways, it would be fun to make characters who are on the hunt for legendary pokemon for their own personal gain- I guess that doesn't mean they have to be evil, though. Maybe they're hunting mew because they're medical researchers who want to discover new cures, maybe they're looking for jirachi so they can wish for a sick relative to be healthy again. But before all of that, they're going to definitely be working on the wrong side of the law.
Most of the games are focused on taking down the region's villain team, but what if- and hear me out here- the story focused on working your way up the criminal ladder, going from grunt, to admin, to the team boss? Alternatively this could be about a group or a pair of friends starting their own criminal empire and shutting down every threat that comes their way, in the pursuit of a nefarious goal.
