It depends what sort of roleplay it is. I generally listen to music that fits the vibe (love a good roleplay playlist too!) For example if it's a wholesome love story, i'd listen to love songs, if it's a gung ho all action type roleplay i'd listen to hard rock music etc

To be fair, how can you create a setting when you don't know what they like? Having some idea of direction is essential. I wouldn't want to write up a whole idea about a modern realistic crime thriller only to find out you don't like modern roleplays and want a historical fantasy or something
