Emma
Emma continued to survey the ball, spotting Illyria giving her a smug look for some reason. She raised her eyebrow at this, wondering why that was. Her mind wasn't on this for long, though, as she saw somebody walking over to the chocolate fountain to indulge herself. Emma smiled, of course a cute one would have a sweet tooth. She carefully made her way over to her "Hey there." She greeted the girl "Enjoying our chocolate?"

Tamara
Tamara had grabbed a few snacks from the table and was about to find somewhere to sit down when someone tapped her shoulder from behind. She turned around to see a man behind her, though with the suit and mask it was of course impossible to tell what he looked like. He mentioned that she seemed perturbed "Ahh, maybe just a little..." She said, rubbing the back of her head. Then he asked for her name, to which she briefly wondered if she should tell him "Ah... Just call me Kirlivoir." She told him. Okay, sure, it was probably a bad idea to be telling people her online alias, considering how many major hacking incidents she'd been involved in, but she figured whoever was hosting this party probably knew that about her already, and she wasn't about to risk them listening in and getting more of her personal information. Whatever little they may or may not have already, anyway.

That, and thanks to her mask she was already incognito, so it just felt fitting not to use her real name.

Not expecting to be approached, Sunhi squeaked at the voice, turning around with a full mouth. Her cheeks dusted a light pink and she swallowed the chocolate quickly. She was surprised to see such a beautiful woman before her; her brain shut down for a moment before she recovered.

“Uhm, yes,” Sunhi managed, lowering her head a little. It was odd for her to keep staring, wasn’t it? “It’s… really good.” She ran through what the woman had said to her. “Our? Are you one of the hosts?”

Hiseki smiled at the male she was interacting with next to the table. “Yeah, there kind of rare now a days,”she responded with a small laugh. This was her first time at a dance like this. She was going to continue the conversation till she was bumped into. Luckily the water she was holding didn’t spill as she maneuvered her hand to place down the cup.

“It’s an honor to meet you Illyria,”she gave the other a kind smile. “My names Hiseki,”she shook the males hand. “And yeah, the place looks so big I don’t think I could ever get used to it,”she commented even though to be fair she was used to tiny houses now.

Illyria nods and smiles as he gets himself a drink 🥃 before continuing the conversation " hisiki?" He tried to pronounce her name in a futile attempt to try to recognize names

His bones are eager with excitement to go for another change of personalities as it pains him to hold back the changes of emotions infront of the other girl .

" it's small once you get used to the place but I can imagine how it feels to enter such a seemingly large place.. now if you'll excuse me, it's been a pleasure to meet you and I hope we can discuss another time...Hiseki"

He bows gently to her before walking at a fast pace to the balcony outside , looking to the night sky as his emotions finally release from the pain as tears run down his eyes " why do we build up love to only watch those we love die once again ..." he says to himself before he swings his drink empty as he looks back down to the forest ahead .

"Yes!" Nate chimed answering her question about the rose he's given. "I felt like I came in too bold so it's an apology gift to a beauty like yourself." He smirks shoving his hands in his pockets feeling cocky again knowing it would probably woo this girl. Her pheramones reeking with attraction towards him. Her shy expression as she fumbled for her words merely confirmed his inspection. He quite liked it, but at the same time did not wish to make her uncomfortable. From the corner of his eye, Hazel is hand gesturing him to remove his hands from his pockets as he was taught it's not professional. Nate sweat drops forgetting about his manners being nervous himself aas he removed his hands from containment. They felt bare and sweaty as he stood unsure of what to do. That is when his focus returned to her as she proceeded to talk. "Nova....lie? Nova-lee?" He tried pronouncing her name humming in thought of how he could say her name properly. Lucky for Nate, Novalie suggested her shortened name. Nate sighs in relief then smiles. "Okay! I was afraid I'd offend you if ever I had to mention your name and pronounced it wrong. Although I'll get the hang of it in time while we're together." He reassured. "It's a pleasure. You have quite a lovely name. I'll stick with your real name."

Meanwhile on the overview of the stairs, Cas and Hazel stood back observing. "So far so good. Kid hasn't messed up. Neither has anyone else." Gold eyes befall on Emma finding it a problem that she's approached a woman. "Um...seems Emma wasn't listening and walked up to woman rather than a male." "Not a problem." Hazel replied. "Eh?" He croaked confused. "Emma's race can convert humans into Laminas. Sort of like Medusa turning people into stone but in this case conversion. Her being the only few Lamina's in existence have no problem repopulating. As long as she understands she needs to breed for her race to go on then it's fine. Having the same sex gender couples never hurt anyone. With the help of magic nothing is impossible." She smirked. "I just want her to find love and be happy just as much as I want for everyone else. Constantly sexluded. It's about time they get a chance at finding someone." Hazel's thoughts ease her of her troubles when thinking about everyone's smiles and ability to leave this manor soon with their own lover and caretaker. That's what this is for and she will do it for their freedom.

The feeling did not last long as Illyria took off after just making his acquaintance. Hazel and Cas sigh. "I got him." The werewolf said, heading over to the balcony where the Choas miner has taken refuge. "Hey old man. You alright?" Castiel asked leaning on the balcony's rail with his back pulling out a cigarette. He figured if he is to help him outside, why not have a smoke?

Ellison Damien Wells
(Tagged: Pumpkid Pumpkid )
5 hours earlier: Inner city

"Excuse me you bumped into me" "No you bumped into me!" a man snaps back at the man holding hands with his girlfriend. "Whoa are you ok?" a woman 15 feet away grabs a man who stumbles and nearly tips over, "Yeah. I think something bumped into me" he says at the stranger. Many similar remarks and exclaims are made through the busy city sidewalks. Some don't even notice, and some are too in a hurry to stop and see who bumped into them.

"The ball" Ellison thinks to himself as he walks, unseen. "Am I.................feeling apprehensive? Possibly nervous? Impossible. Human emotions, the Polong are incapable of such feelings and senses" he reasons to himself. A child is pulled back by an invisible force to the sidewalk avoiding a collision with a car in this busy intersection, the doting mother on her phone not even realizing what would have happened. "Then what does my appearance matter to someone I don't even know, someone I might not even meet on this night? Perhaps I will walk in alone in the manor, and I will walk back out alone" he thinks to himself.
"Why am I going?"

90 years ago: Chicago the 1920's

"This club is where it's happening. Jazz, blues, everything that the man doesn't like is being played here. Anything new, music, clothes, revolution, you name it, the world gets scared and they don't want to accept it. Jazz is a new form of music that speaks to my soul, that moves me" a man in a suit says to the colored man sitting next to him. "Out there we wouldn't be seen talking to each other, even though we were both born from a single mother in pain, we're not the same to everyone else because we look different. But in here..................in here we're the same. We're just two cats in a swinging joint listening to some Jazz and not worrying about what's out there" the man smiles. The colored man smiles and shakes his hand, "The name is Elli-er Elwood" he says. Feeling all the human emotions and senses when occupying(possession) someone. "Elwood, let me introduce do you to Lira" a woman standing near is suddenly guided towards Elwood(Ellison) by the man. A look of surprise and embarrassment as she is suddenly face to face to a strange man. "Hi" she says in a low voice.

*3 hours later*

"And that's when I knew, that's when I knew it was time for me to leave. To find..................something. Something different from the world I know" Lira says. They sit close to each other in a now near empty club. "You realize as soon as we step outside these doors, we can't ever see each other again" she says. Ellison sits there, quiet for a moment. Wanting to disagree, tell her she's wrong, they can be together, that he's never met a woman like her before, that the world couldn't stand in their way, that just like in the fairytales and poems, true love always wins. "I know" he says. The last words he wanted to say in this moment. She wasn't wrong, they couldn't be together, and the world will stand in their way. It was a different time. "The club doesn't close for another half an hour, do you want to stay until it closes" she says now wrapping his arm around herself. "Of course" he said without hesitating. A half hour more where the world didn't exist and where he first experienced something new in the centuries he roamed and dwelt on Earth.....................heartache.

Back to the city(Still 5 hours earlier):

"I.............I experienced love" he says almost surprised. "I only felt love for a few hours but what if today, what if it's longer than just a few hours? What if it's like the love of old stories and poems, a love that lasts forever?" he asks. "Perhaps this time tomorrow I'll roam through these streets again or any of the other countless streets that I have traversed many times through centuries unseen to eyes and feelings that invisible to me, but for tonight........................tonight I will be here, looking for something. For one night I won't be wandering aimlessly, for one night I'll be here....................waiting for her"

Current(in the mansion, ballroom):

"Light
In the doorway
Shining so bright
In the doorway
I clench your hips
For the flesh
You tore my prose
In the doorway
Animal lie
Like the doorway
As you hide
Hear it then
Will you let me in
Let me in
Oh"

The singers sings his song echoing throughout the ballroom. Many elegant attires and guests mark this occasion. Anything and almost everything available in this place, the scenery something from a film or a story about the kings and queens and their extravagant gatherings come to life in this ballroom.

People dancing, laughing, and talking together all over the center of the ballroom and on each side. Everyone in their own world. A woman standing before him, alone slowly swaying to the music, Ellison approaches, "Hi I-" "There you are" the woman says(not even hearing the voice behind her) as her partner takes her hand and leads her back to the center of the room. "This is too much. I'm not accustom to the human behavior of courtship and love. And what do I know about love? A few hours of a woman I never met before almost a hundred years ago paying attention to me for more than a few hours? I need to get away" he says.

He walks through the couples dancing, holding each other, and laughing. He makes his way to the only place in the room not crowded or teeming with creatures and people. An empty corner on the other side of the room except for a lone woman. In a black dress and in a mask. Overwhelmed and conflicted about what he's doing there, he doesn't notice the woman. "Maybe this isn't the place for me, maybe-" he thinks when he bumps into someone. "I'm sorry, I-" he doesn't speak, he doesn't finish his sentence as he looks at the woman. He can't.

(Location: Ballroom/ Funeral Funeral )
Eager to start her interactions, she noticed through time that everyone had a partner or at least wandered about as if already knowing each other. This made her hesitate to even step in and ask someone to dance. She sighed suggesting herself to pick a drink to ease her nerves. If she was tipsy enough, she wouldn't feel anything but confident. Just as Val took her first step, someone had bumped into her. She stood back looking over the stranger for any accidents as he half apologized. Words cut off as if unable to say much more. "It's okay." She reassured. "It happens. No big deal. Um..." Her words also cut short to the fruition of what this person is wearing. Shades over his bandaged face like a mummy. Questions ran through her mind is he had facial surgery or if his face was burned? Poor guy must be self conscious and forced to come. Is her initial thought. She smiles softly hoping to relax the stranger. The bruenette noticed his shades tilted off from their collision. She reach over to them forgerring about invading one's privacy as she focuser on adjusting his shades. "There." She whispered standing back satisfied with it's position. "Sorry I hope you didn't mind. Hi! I'm Valeria." She nervously took out her hand for him to shake changing the subject.

I'm just not human .. everyone isn't but the brain inside is different mentality ..." he thumps his noggin as he swaps between anger, happiness, and no emotions all one after another infront of him

" it's just I don't think I can really ... be myself ya know?" He chuckles softly as he looks back down with tears still rolling down " I don't see it really for romance ... I've had many marriages before in my past false lives and all those times it ends with the same pain of watching them get older and older and die before your very eyes .... it hurts ..." his head drops down as he bites the bottom of his lip to try to hold himself back from crying

Marshall's expression stayed the same as he bowed before her after she introduced herself. He thought it'd be the proper thing to do when he met a woman under formal pretenses. "It is a pleasure to be of your acquaintance Kirlivoir. I hope we can get along." His deep tone gave off pure sincerity as he began to glance around the room. He wasn't frantically looking about, more like taking notes with his eyes on where everyone was. So far so good. He would've sighed in relief had he been alone but in the presence of a stranger, he'd never let his emotions slip like that.

"Say, would you care to dance with me? I've never had the opportunity to dance with a partner, especially not one with such pretty hair as yourself, and would be honored if you'd accompany me." It was hard for him to talk without giving away that he wasn't human. He knew many many things about the human world and its customs but he didn't know how to articulate it as if he were one of them. Aside from that this was the most social interaction he's had in a long time so he felt a tad awkward trying to swoon a girl he'd never met before. Marshall held his hand out to her hoping she'd take it and accept his offer.

Nova chucked hearing him mispronounce her name twice. "It's pronounced No-volllley. Like volleyball," She exaggerated the middle part of her name so he could understand but knew that he probably wouldn't. "It's cute that you tried at least but thank you. I umm.. my name is probably the nicest thing about me." Her name was a treasure to her and she valued it as much as her career. She paused recalling how many times the white-haired boy had complimented in a few short sentences. She knew she was rather pretty, prettier than most even, but she didn't think others would openly recognize it outside of her fans. It was a strange sensation being complimented without having her reputation do all the work. Nova liked the feeling a lot. It sent flutters through her body and made her heart skip beats. Nathan was so kind to her in a genuine way compared to the love she receives for exchanges of labor. A bright smile formed from ear to ear that she couldn't hide if she tried.

"I-I'm not... I mean I am but- umm..." She couldn't get the words she wished to say out trying to think of a better way to say it as she said it. It was weird for her to form relationships with people outside of work so this was a struggle on its own. All she was trying to do was thank him for his kind words but instead, all she could do was embarrass herself. "I'm sorry.. I'm super good at talking to people I swear." Her rosy complexion lightened as she stuck her tongue out playfully. It was a complete lie, the girl absolutely sucked at anything social that didn't involve a business transaction but he didn't need to know that. She didn't want to seem like a frightened a mouse in front of him. "I'll come up with a nickname for you soon." Something about him made her want to be near him and get to know him. Nova wasn't sure why but they had some type of natural click that she couldn't explain.

Emma
Emma giggled at the girl's stunned stare. She only wished she wasn't wearing a mask so she could see her expression. She got the impression that the girl liked her too - Though with Emma's personality, that wasn't hard. She could've hated her with all her heart and the Lamia would still believe she was impressed by her presence. She smiled at the girl, folding her arms as she responded to her question "Well... You could say that. I wasn't the one who put all of this together, but I do live here." She explained "My name is Emma. What's yours?" She asked, as she reached to take a bite of chocolate herself. She wasn't a huge fan of the stuff, but it was a nice treat every once in a while, and tonight was a special occasion after all.

I've never danced before either." She admitted, although she took his hand anyway, unsure of what she was hoping for when she did so.

When William opened his eyes he glances around the ballroom and notices a long black haired female wearing a long gown walking towards him. A sense a dread hit him at the thought having to talk to anyone at this eerie party. He didn’t let this show on his face and watches as the woman walks up to him.

“Good even, Sir. I am glad you were able to attend the our ball.” The woman says with a small smile, holding a drink in hand. He notes that she was originally watching silently from the sidelines, he had thought that she was one of the many silent observers.

“So this is actually one of the few people here that can talk? One of the people from this Chiodos family? What should I say to her? I don’t want to give them the idea that I’m suspicious of this farce of a ball, I suppose that I’ll just have to return the greeting. It’s odd though, no one else seems to notice anything wrong despite the room being completely silent other than the music. Are they all retarded? Or is something else at work?“ William thinks to himself, a downward twitch to his mouth the only evidence of the his thoughts. “Ah yes it’s quite,” un,”lucky that I was able attend since I’m usually very busy. I take it that you’re enjoying the ball after all it be a shame if you went through all this trouble for something you weren’t enjoying.” William politely says as he forces the stress, that ball has been causing him, out of his voice. He redirects the conversation towards her in hopes that she go on a tangent so he wouldn’t have to talk anymore. “God, I hate small talk but I must be at least cordial as to not tip these people off.”

Illyria's gap, reminded Cas that the Chaos Minor is not a fan of menthols. Noted, every blow he made from the toxins is spewed away from him out of consideration. He listened closely while watching the spectrals dance away acting their parts. It was almost laughable that such humans did not know that the mystical exist among them. The ashes flicked off over the balcony for better ventilation to inhale. "You're afraid. That's your main concern. I get it. Same reason I don't date. I like my freedom, but most of all making connections with something that will wither is not worth it. It's especially worse having your heartbroken and dealing with the feelings afterwards even the memories that rest with them." He lectured. "However, all of your marriages were either a wrong suit, or temporary. To say it's your fault for falling for mortal is incorrect. Love, I know cannot be helped when cupid's arrow strikes. You may have to find a different formula if your last one is not working." He noticed the red head confused of his metaphor. "Meaning if you've married humans only knowing the outcome, then perhaps you should try a different species that lasts longer. There is one that lasts as long as you. She's actually one of the humans out there. That's what this party is about. Hazel took the time and effort to think about everyone of you. If anyone understands you, it would be her. Give it one last chance and if the outcome is the same, well it's your call chief." The brute takes one more inhale admiring the night sky.

Novalie corrected the brute listening carefully to remember. In honesty he'd probably forget with his nature being aloof at times when making acquaintances. "Gotcha!" He gives a quick thumbs up. He chuckled as the blonde bumbled her words. 'Cute' He thought. "I believe you. I know it's me making you nervous. It's written all over your face." He smiled wide when the woman beamed herself and mentioned about a nickname. A nickname from a pretty girl that isn't pup or mutt? This is thrilling to know what she will come up with. His charm being in effect shocked him a bit as a reminder to keep him from changing. The way Novalie said that her name is the only thing nice about her, baffled him. Surely she isn't serious. She just attracted him by her beauty. That was something right? She didn't scurry her away after approaching her so suddenly in an unusual fashion. Her persona so far is kind. "I don't think that's true. There are a lot of things you don't see that others do. Your mindset is focused on how you view yourself. I can understand why you would believe that, but do you think if you allowed a total stranger like myself to show you what I see you will agree?" A hand is offered as if to pull her somewhere. A leap of faith to his question. To others including his family, Nathan is a natural charmer. He however is not aware of doing so as he spoke only the truth. One of the qualities loved by his family dearly being a sweetheart with a rough edge. His moon gray eyes boring into her's with a glint in them.

“Uhm, Sunhi,” she replied, watching the other take some of the chocolate. She wished there was a guide for what she should and shouldn’t reveal about herself at a masquerade ball. Names seemed to be okay, but… “I’m sorry, I’ve just never been to an event like this before. It’s all so… big and fancy.”

If it weren't for his spectacular control over his expressions Marshall surely would've broken a sweat as the girl took his hand. He never touched a human girl before. He's never touched any human before for that matter. Her hand was so soft and tiny in his that he didn't want to let go. He remembered he had to be gentle with humans as they were much more fragile creatures than the ones that inhabited this manor. Carefully, Marshall tugged her along from the corner to the middle of the ballroom. "It's really simple if I can learn it in a day then even a baby can follow along." He all but mastered the art of ballroom dancing because of his enhanced ability to take in information so this was no difficult task. He cupped his hand on the small of her back while using the other to guide where hers should go. "You just go like this..." He paused lifting her one hand up with his own as the other rested on his shoulder. "Then like this..." Marshall slowly started moving to the beat of the music following the motions he remembered. Soon he was swaying her in single step dances as he followed the keys of the classical piece. "And now we're dancing. See? It's fun, right? Not too embarrassing I hope," He jested with her, even giving a slight smirk to show he was enjoying himself rather than keeping the same face. It would creep her out if he looked bored the entire time, something he learned from the werewolf boy about human expressions.

Nathan's adolescent excitement was refreshing for a person who spent most of her day either alone in her apartment or with a bunch of pricks. He had qualities similar to a small puppy or a toddler in personality but Nova thought it was cute of him. It wasn't so often she met someone who was so full of radiance. His mention of her being nervous by his presence startled her from admiration to apprehension. He read her so easily that the blonde didn't know if she should be amazed or scared. How would he be able to read her so easily? It was like he knew her personally and Nova was sure they've never met before. It would've put her on guard but his warmhearted nature felt so calm and inviting that she didn't mind him picking up her social cues. She was well confused by this man now and his rather strange quirks. He gave off childish vibes with a hint of regality and poise that typically didn't mix well in others. This was someone she wanted to get to know better.

His offer was tempting, although, Nova didn't understand what he could show her about herself when he just met her. He requested to take her someplace, most likely away from the crowd, to show her whatever he wanted her to see. It could've been an opportunity for him to whisk her away into the night, never to be seen by loved ones again. As far-fetched as it sounds a small piece of Nova still believed in the idea. Nathan was considerably larger and stronger than her, there would be nothing stopping him from doing so except his morals. There would've been no way for her to fight back had he actually tried to kidnap her. Suddenly she found herself psyching herself out deep in her thoughts about wild fantasies that would never come to life. The sweet white-haired boy could never do something of that nature, Nova could see it in his eyes when he looked at hers. Now that she was focused on them, he did have rather alluring eyes. The way the light of the ballroom reflected off the silvery orbs was something out of a movie. The mesmerized blonde stared a little while longer into those moon gray eyes before giving her answer. "Show me then," Her tone was soft as her eyes portrayed innocent intrigue about her. She was curious what this man could show her so she took his hand into one and held her dress with the other.

Illyria
Lounge/ mentioned: Pumpkid Pumpkid

As Illyria was rambling on and on about his deep thinking and processing he realized that the other was not really interested at what he had to say do as Cas turns for the night sky Illyria stealthily slipped past the crowds and away from sight.

The chaos minor maneuvered his way past the crowds with ease as he managed to escape out to the Lounge. There it was also populated with spectres but it was just him that was the only real individual there as he kicks back and relaxes peacefully

Hopefully no one would destroy his peaceful time here.......... ( hint hint )

His mind wanders off to the beauty of the music , the awe and amazement of the decorations all set up , and the event itself. He knows that the event is something special to most and is supposedly supposed to be special to him but if he doesent get to find a mate it won't phase him because he doesent have the luxury of limited life, he probably would wander elsewhere to god knows what he will wound up in. On the otherhand a mate won't be a bad thing at all . To Illyria a mate is more like a pet ; you take it in and care and love it with everything but you know it will die sooner than you and you'll live in seeing its death. Most chaos minors don't care and just move on to the next but Illyria is a bit more phased about the deaths of those he cares about ...

Bo Ah Lam

Bo watched the man from behind her mask. She could see his unease in his posture and she smelled the faint scent of sweat. He didn't want to be here. Bo didn't quite want to either, but Hazel insisted.
"It is a nice ball. It's not really my thing, but its quite nice to meet you. My name is Bo Ah Lam."
She let some of her hypnotic charm through, lacing with her words. She wasn't so stupid as to hit him full force with her hypnotics. Subtletyis key. She brought her cup up to her mouth and only pretended to drink. She wanted blood, not whatever was in the cup.
"Would you like to dance? I've been told I'm quite a good dancer."
By many people who are dead. She had learned many dances over the centuries, some died out and were forgotten, but others stuck around. She held out her hand to him, setting her drink down.
"After all, that's what balls are for."

Emma
Emma chuckled a bit as Sunhi explained she'd never been to an event like this before "Well, don't worry." She said, wrapping an arm around her "I'll be sure to help you out. Care to try a dance?" She asked, already walking with her to the center of the ballroom. She didn't think the contact would give away just how much she wobbled with every step, but even if it did she figured she could just blame it on the heels anyway. That was what Humans did, right?

Tamara
Tamara blushed a little more at Marshall's guidance, trying not to let her laptop bag get in the way of their dance together. Suddenly she felt all eyes on them as they swayed back and forth in unison, though of course she knew that wasn't the case. This was a ball. People everywhere were dancing. Nobody cared about two more.

She giggled a little at his jest "Kinda..." She answered honestly "I'm okay though. Maybe I should've practiced something before I came here..." She said, giggling again.

William did not like what was happening at all, he wants to leave right this very moment and he is very tempted too but the unknown reaction this might cause in the hosts stayed his hand. He snapped himself out of his thoughts when he hears the woman speak.

"It is a nice ball. It's not really my thing, but its quite nice to meet you. My name is Bo Ah Lam." The now newly named Bo Ah Lam ‘possibly Korean?’ took a sip from her drink, "Would you like to dance? I've been told I'm quite a good dancer." Placing her drink down she held out her hand towards him. "After all, that's what balls are for."

Unknown to William the vampire tried to subtly hypnotize him but the charm slid off him like oil to water; his ring, a family heirloom, shines innocently as it protects him from the hypnosis. Unaffected and oblivious to what the woman just tried to do William smiles while inwardly scowling at her request.

Absolutely not.” Was his first thought, “I refuse to dance with some random woman at this shady ball. Does she think I’m like mentally challenged like the other people at this ball seem to be? And worse I feel like a piece of meat in front of her eyes.”

“No thank you, madam. I prefer to just to observe from the sidelines, I’m not in the mood to dance. Though, thank you for the offer.” William distantly and politely says wanting to be completely honest about what he thinks of this whole situation but swallows his spiteful words. He gestures to the crowd of faceless, silent people. “I’m sure that you can find someone else to dance with. After all I’m sure there are plenty of boisterous and friendly people here.” If he wasn’t forcing all personal feelings out of his voice, that last sentence would be dripping with sarcasm.

Nathan smiled when his offer is taken. Her hand in his so different. His are calloused, and rough while her's are soft, small in his. The touch of another is reminiscent to something he always desired, but never knew just how to obtain it. He mostly tossed the idea in the back of his head knowing it will come to him one day. The snow haired male stood up straight dragging her into the dancefloor. A bit of a cliche when he could show her the courtyard and dance alone there, but she probably would have found it weird. The last thing he wanted is to scurry her away placing all of his concentration on Novalie. This took a lot of effort since he tended to have a small attention span when excited.

His one available hand set on the small of her back pulling her close. The other clasped gently out stretched as he began leading. Dances are difficult to, but with today's lessons refreshing him it was a breeze. Having been taught at a young age with Hazel and April as his dance partner for fun. Being a child, it made him curiois to try anything fun. The outcome of it now put into use as he sways to the music. Not exactly elegant genera, but then again that is not what the focus is here. As the male danced with the blonde, he kept his gaze pasted on hers with a soft smile dreamily. He took the opportunity to step away for space to spin her around then bring her close. After some time he felt so relaxed that his wolf instincts took over a bit. His head leans down nuzzling her temple. Her sweet scent imprinting in his mind that she belongs to him.

Ellison Damien Wells
(Tagged: Pumpkid Pumpkid )

He spoke suddenly the first thing that appeared on his mind, "Through the eyes of the first pharaoh, I saw the first pyramids being built. The endless sand and cloudless skies. Just the sun and the Earth. And a new wonder in the middle of everything. All in vain to reflect a queen something equal to her elegance and beauty, with eyes like no one else in history. I see now that her eyes are but mere dying embers to the radiance and gentle flame in your eyes. Your eyes are truly like one's I have never seen in history, through every door, through every place the wind has blown, and through every place the sun has awakened and the moon has caressed back to unconsciousness, you are eyes are like no other" he says. Ellison quickly realizes he spoke without thought. He remembers immediately that she is mostly human that has lived a life in a world outside of his(figuratively).
"And by that I mean..................." he begins, "Through books and studies I have seen through the eyes of pharaoh, not literally of course" *he coughs*("Did I just cough in nervousness like a human being?" he thinks to himself). "Thank you Valerie" he says as the woman in front of him helps him with his glasses. "My name is Ellison" he says looking down at her hand. "Daughter of Adam and Eve are you hurt?" he says looking at her hand("Wait, people greet each other by shaking hands, the equivalent of grabbing wrists as they did before the 12th century and the whistling the tribes of South America did rather than physical touch to greet each other, she is indeed waiting for the customary greeting. How much force do I apply in such a handshake? It will be logical to apply a minimum force of pressure, not much and not to negative"). He reaches out her hand and shakes it. He notices the bandages on his hands as his hand touches hers, "I-well, there's a perfectly good explanation for that" he says as he withdraws his hand. "I look a little different at the moment.................well I suppose that's not a really good explanation but I hope you don't mind the appendages. I assure you they are only temporary" he says.

Bo Ah Lam

Bo smiled softly and dropped her hand back to her other. She picked her drink back up from the table.
"I understand. I wasn't a dancer for a while. I just found someone who got me excited to dance."
It was a handsome young man. She was only ninety at the time and he was so kind to her. He stayed with her and taught her each step carefully before she could dance to the music. She twirled in her skirts and laughed with him, but she watched him grow old and die. She was lost in her thoughts and took a sip of her drink, completely forgetting it wasn't blood. As soon as it touched her tongue she spat it back out into the cup in a near violent manor. She covered her mouth, her fangs having extended in a knee-jerk reaction. she placed her cup on the table, swallowing an animalistic growl before it formed. Her senses blocked out the man before her. She didn't think about the blood running through his veins. She didn't smell it either. It took more effort than she wanted to admit for her to retract her fangs. For almost a full minute she stood there, bent over at the waist with her hand covering her mouth, trying to retract her fangs.
They finally retracted and she took a shaky breath before straightening back up.
"I'm terribly sorry for that."

Valeria
(Location: Ballroom/ Tagged: Funeral Funeral )
Face flustered, heart skipping beats as this stranger recites words of that from a poet. Straight from the heart with such strong meaning behind every syllable. A compliment or two tossed as the two locked eyes. Her eyes resembling a beautiful queen. Cleo Patra? She presumed. Too embarassed to even make contact as he continued to spout. The more he spoke the more odd it sounded as if he's been there. That would be a long quote to remember if it came from a film. Her question is answered when he realized he waa rambling. Not that she minded. "Oh! I just thought it was from a movie. Quite impressive to remember every line. Thank you. Nobody has ever compared me to a queen before." She smirked. "It's Valeria." She corrected. "Nice to meet you though Ellison. Quite a strange name, but I like it." Valeria tilts her head confused by his exclaim about being hurt until her hand is shaken. The feel of his shake is odd. Her eyes shift down seeing his whole hand bandaged up. Now she thought this guy was just horribly hurt or something.

The woman quirks a brow inquisitive as Ellison begins rambling again trying to explain. She shook her head understanding. "Hey, hey! Relax. I get it. There is no need to explain. You got in a terrible accident, surgery or whatever. I still don't mind your company. I'm not picky. You actually look pretty cool and fly yourself. Almost gives me the jazz like times. I hear those were simpler times when a girl didn't have trouble finding a gentleman and love was not impossible, degrading and at least respected." She sighed recalling one of the reasons why she never dated in high school. Aside from her education, there were a few boys crushing on her willing to ask her out, but listening to the rumors of teenage boys are made her cautious. Since then her heart has been held with caution when it came to giving herself to someone. Just the limits of how far a man would go to-no! This is not the time for dread. She is at a party. A time to lightening up with a goal to take a chance. Shaking out of her thoughts Valeria returns her attention on the male having spaced out with a frown. Luckily she switched her mood quickly as to not concern the man. "Sorry about that. Anyways, I find odd things appealing and you sir seem pretty interesting." Did she really just say that? That is embarrassing. All she wanted to do right now is face palm herself for not filtering her words.

Sunhi let out a small squeak as Emma guided her to the center of the ballroom. She couldn’t help but glance around, fearing everyone would be staring at her. Way too many people… way too many eyes… all on her.

“N-No, I can’t,” she protested, but it was hesitant. She’d never danced with someone else before. There were so many things that could go wrong. And yet, she wanted to give it a try. Was that crazy? “Well, maybe… Just please don’t be upset if I step on your feet. Or slip. Or fall.” She smiled meekly. “I’m not very coordinated.”

What the fuck.” William thought as he watched the woman violently spit back the drink into the cup before spending a full minute covering her mouth, bent at the waist, as she tried looks like she was trying not to vomit. All he does as he stares blankly as the minute finishes and Bo Ah Lam looks back at him and tries to salvage the situation.

"I'm terribly sorry for that." She says. She says...she says, like it was just a little accident. Oops, she knocked over her drink and now it’s all over the floor. William closes his eyes and sharply exhales trying to preserve his calm and attempts to reason out what the fuck just happened. What would be the reason for lashing out that badly? He’d say the drinks were just horrible but that doesn’t explain the full minute of recovery it took. Are the drinks drugged? Poisoned? That wouldn’t explain why she tries to act normally afterwards unless…they us want to drink it? Are they trying to drug us and this woman made a mistake and actually drank it? But didn’t she take a sip earlier? So she faked drinking then accidentally took an actual sip? Is this all a stage kidnapping? Or perhaps a massacre? What about the silent crowd? What explains that? Payed actors? But that would be terrible acting if it is. What’s going on? What the fuck is going on? He knows that he’s a couple seconds away from exploding so he inhales slowly and exhales. Opening his eyes he smiles at Bo Ah Lam, his mind empty.

“I hope you’re quite alright. I think I’ll leave for the bathroom now, apologies my sudden departure.” He puts down his cup, hand slightly shaking, and walks unsteadily towards the washrooms. He thanks whatever deity is out there that these are private single-person washrooms and quickly walks in and shuts the door, locking it. His hand makes his way to his face and pulls the mask off and drops it onto the sink counter. Running the water ice cold he starts splashing his face with it. He glances at the door with a complicated look on his face. He doesn’t know what to do. He doubts that theses people will let anyone just leave. So what to do, what to do? His pride won’t let him cower in the washrooms but his sense of self preservation is practically begging him to stay in here. He mentally argues with himself to figure out what was more important. A few minutes later he sighs deeply as all the tension leaves his shoulders. Walking over the door, he fastens the mask back onto his face, “Father always said my pride will get me killed one day, might well prove him right.” He opens the door and walks out glancing around the ballroom for the woman he had abandoned earlier, debating to himself whether or not he should avoid her or act natural.

Marshall took it slow trying his best to ensure her entertainment in an action like this. She didn't appear like the person to do things like this or even enjoy them for that matter but he wanted to try anyway; if not for himself then for Hazel. "It's no matter, you're doing fine. There are many forms of dance you could study, the waltz, tango, quickstep, foxtrot, samba... There's so much you could study and master but it means little to nothing if you're not confident in what you're doing," He spoke with extensive knowledge on the subject but he's never put it into practice until now. His hand guided her into a twirl, not too fast to startle her but not slow enough to feel out of place from the others. When he pulled her back in he pulled her closer so they'd be just barely touching chest to chest. "I've learned it's more about enjoying yourself and making things up on the go than to have a set practiced way. I mean just close your eyes and listen, feel the music around you... It's so warm and full of happiness. I wish I could feel like this all the time." He mumbled the last part mostly to himself than to her. This was as lively as he's felt in decades and he didn't wish for a feeling this good to go away.

The blonde felt herself being dragged to the dancefloor with the strange childlike man. She giggled as he started swaying her, his form was better than she expected but definitely showed it could use a bit of work. "If you wanted a dance all you had to do was ask," She had a bright smile on her face as they danced in amongst the others. She enjoyed dancing, not particularly ballroom dancing, but dancing in general. As an artist of her own, the expression of freedom through dance was something she could appreciate. When he spun her around she was sure to make it dramatic before being pulled in closer. This time they were close enough that she could feel his heart beat against hers. She hadn't been this close to someone since she was a small child. This was like a dream for her, a dream she's had many nights alone in her apartment. Nathan grew closer and closer until his head rested on her temple. Had she not been wearing a mask they would have been skin to skin. Nova felt her heart skip a beat as he nuzzled against her as a loving puppy would do to its master. So close... She thought as she bit her lip watching how comfortable he looked with being this close to another. Her soft hands reached up to cup his cheeks using her thumbs to rub gently against the bones. "You alright there lover boy? Don't go passing out on me now, the night is still young." She giggled as she looked up into his eyes. He looked at her as if she were the only one in the room, like he attached to only her now. It reminded her of a movie she watched when she was in her teen years where a wolf boy fell in love with a human and they had to save the world together. The way he looked into her eyes was reminiscent to the way the protagonist looked into that girl's eyes as if time stopped around them. Something about him had a hint of feral to him but she couldn't quite place her finger on it. Even his mask was in the form of a wolf but she dismissed it as him just really liking dogs. "I think I see what you were talking about now," Nova said before guiding him to twirl her again to the beat of the music. A bunny and a wolf huh... Somehow the blonde felt like she was in Cinderella except this time everyone wore masks and her dress wouldn't turn to garbage at the stroke of twelve.
