I appreciate that.
Well cuz I was thinking, "What could influence my character's ability?" Like could something negate or limit his regen? How well does he stand up to curses? He knows ABOUT magic and kind of how it works but never used it.

And everyone from Aether who came over basically got hit by the nerf hammer cuz there's little to no magic on earth right? So, if we take Abnormals who actually do have Some kind of ability or whatever from Aetherian ancestors whose magical bloodline has stayed strong enough for abilities to continue manifesting...

Then, in theory, shouldnt abnormals be actually pretty damn powerful in Aether? Unless I have something wrong somewhere.

Just my thought process lol

koala koala

Elena will receive a summons for a second interview at Charing Cross police station regarding her witness statement. she will be allowed to bring a friend as support. Maybe Arryn MagicPenguin MagicPenguin ?
It's going to be on Friday daytime, if that's alright?

I concur with your thought.
But what element limits the aetherian's strength on Earth in the first place? Regarding ancestry, it is pass on by blood, so as long as the Aetherian blood is in a human being, they should be pretty powerful. However, the very thing that restrain Aetherian's strength on earth may also apply for those that enters the Aether realm. Maybe its the mana/magical properties of the world? Scientific reasoning? Environment? Well, that is for the GM to decide.

Would abnormal be like really powerful if they could get some of that raw Aether magic in them?

Strictly speaking yes.

Compared to most on Earth.

They would be stuck in 1st Tier on Aether, due to a complete lack of knowledge of magical theory.

A character like Scarlet would be considered a half-breed runt by the Vampires of Aether - where even their weakest would be considerably stronger than her.

Think of Aether as a Level 99+ Post game DLC in some massive JRPG, where everyone is pretty strong.

And those that are considered strong on Aether, are INSANELY strong.

The lack of magic in the world, basically. That's the working guess.
Lucrezia is pretty much paralyzed right now - she's been hit hardest. Hence she created Lisa to oversee things while she bides her time.

The Abnormal abilities are mostly just simple magical spells that have simply "stuck" to a bloodline. Take a look at shadowz1995 shadowz1995 Seb for a moment - all he's got is basically a low-tier healing spell running 24/7.
doneanddusted doneanddusted has access to what is besically a Tier 3 healing spell - but has NO idea how to actually use it, so forces it to work via a unpleasant process.

And so forth. That's all these abilities are. Spells.

MagicPenguin MagicPenguin Hogan's true form?

Oh come on another Fateverse faceclaim? Tell me this one is intentional at least.

Would these "spells" have a chance of mutation over time? As in will it be watered-down at some point, and perhaps genetically change for others? Or is it persistent in its origin?

Straight up just used a "blonde" faceclaim since Hogan fur is gold. And since Arryn is a blacksmith, a set of armor would pay homage to that. Bite me.

No drama, just that Avari already managed to use two Fate characters as FCs by accident.

So if that's the case, then they have the potential yeah? Cuz they already have magic I'm them. They just need to learn more

In comparison to a normal human let's say

Which would take a long time in Aether, I'd assume. Taken into factor:
1. Language differences
2. Concepts of knowledge
3. Years of training / meditation
4. All of the above, while trying not to die from an Aether's one-punch.

And speaking on Seb, having a low tier healing spell on 24/7 makes u incredibly long lived then isnt everyone on Aether like really damn old? Cuz I know low tier spells up to... what was it, 2? 3? Can be learned by practically anyone on Aether

It's like watching a company of scholars discussing some of the deepest philosophical questions of our time.
Continue please.

Aha naw.

Healing spells are less effective with repeat use.

Seb just has a single one running 24/7. Tis why it works so well.

Won't last forever though. He is aging.
