And just to maybe elaborate on Thalia's decision, your character concept doesn't fit the setting. Sure, he fits a fantasy setting, but not Coven world's. Coven-world is old-timey, medievalistic, ruled by two main organizations: Collective and the Coven. There are also three realms: mortal realm, Demon realm, and Spirit realm, where the respective creatures live. It's a self-contained system and your character, Jason, clashes horribly with Coven-world. The parallel Earth's are just too out there, I feel like, and your characters are totally alien to the setting. Having the "reset" button for Jason is too much since there's no consequence when he dies.I'm intrigued, though I've got a question: I have an idea for two characters: One is a Kitsune/Kemono Spirit, who's an "Angel-In-Training". She starts off as very weak compared to the other Spirits, but over time, grows stronger. She's shy and reserved to studying her magic, but bumps into my second character, Jason Walker.
Jason was summoned by the Angel that teaches Sukia (whose name and stuff I would leave for another user to be, or for you to decide) to Rafelea from a parallel Earth, similar in the sense that it, too, had the supernatural entities like Ghosts, Demons, Vampires, Werewolves, etc., but different in two ways: it lacked Magic, and the year was "Modern". So in a sense, he was pulled into "The Past", and as such, kinda sticks out like a sore thumb as far as "Fashion" goes. (IE: He wears a cap, a vest, a Hiking Bag, and totes around a Shotgun with "Special Ammo" in his backpack, a Silver-Lined Pipe Wrench, and an "Exorcist's Book".)
His unique ability isn't his Shotgun, however, but a Curse that he was born with: "Nox Eternus" (Death Eternal). With it, several factors are taken into account: Should he die, his body and gear vanishes, only to reappear in a nearby shrine/temple, his wounds are healed, and his spirit is forced back into his body, where he "Awakens", and his final moments would feel as if it were a dream, so his memories would be a little hazy for the most part. This Curse is from another world, however, and its origin is unknown. It is irreversible, and basically forces him to remain "Alive", suffer through "Death" for eternity, and watch those around him pass on. What was once a child would become an elderly, and he would still look as if he were thirty years of age.
Another thing he could do is "Astral Project", which is to deliberately throw his spirit out of his body for a little while. While in "Spirit Form", his strength against Spirits and Demons are boosted, and due to the "Binding" from the Nox Eternus, his body isn't able to be possessed, except by his own Spirit. (This doesn't mean that his body is immune to damage, though! If anything, going "Spirit Form" leaves him even more vulnerable!)
If shipping is allowed, I'd probably ship the two of them together, though way later on in the story... gotta have development, after all.
Anyways, so that's basically what I was thinking of applying for. Haven't seen the anime, but seems pretty straight-forward "Old-Timey Witches and Sages hunting Monsters, Demons, and Evil Spirits", in a world where that kind of thing is pretty much normal... that sound about right?
Oh, and the question is: "Would this concept be allowed?"
