Looking over Vance's info, I get the feeling that he and Myrrh will get along swimmingly! She'll definitely enjoy cooking all sorts of dishes for him, and will be more than happy to do so!

My character happens to be from the Eastern Kingdom, I don't know if that'll be a problem or not.

popping in here to give a little hello o/

Reiia silver Reiia silver just a question: where exactly should we expect workers such as knights to fit in? I'm assuming that they're sent to the central kingdom to accompany the princes and princesses, but were they randomly chosen or were they already in a position close to the royals already (such as a personal guard kind of thing)?

They can be personal workers,, such as ladies in waiting or knights, if you want to be close to the prince's and princess's or you can work in the central kingdom, but each kingdom is going to need workers since they are going to have royalties in them. I hope that made sense, I am not feeling good at all today. Also please note, the workers are just as important as any other role in the RP <3

Hmmm...it shouldn't be! As far as I'm aware, everyone will be meeting in the Middle Kingdom at the start of the roleplay...? Well, either that, or the 'wives-to-be' will be going to their respective husband's Kingdom. Regardless, Vance will find a way to taste her amazing cuisine, mark my words. Would you like for them to have met before in the past? He has been the Knight Commander for quite a few years now, and it's possible that he has dined at the Eastern Kingdom during some sort of political/war-related meeting.

Edit: Also, this is somewhat off-topic and directed towards whomever;; I've been entertaining the idea of giving Vance an eagle companion, because everyone knows that an eyepatch = bird lover. So...look out for that. =)

Hmm... To have met before or to have not met before. That is the question. It's super tempting... Sure, why not? It sounds like a good idea.

*realizes there is already a character with an eyepatch*
....
OOPS
yeah...I'll just uhhh go quickly switchie fcs and some concepts

I think Smoke Manipulation or Embodinent would be a good ability. Well, with the downside of being lighter than air whenever it's used... Then again, maybe not. doneanddusted doneanddusted

Also, I'm assuming that Vance and Myrrh would be either close friends or acquaintances on good terms with each other depending on how often they meet, which probably isn't frequent because of their respective careers in different kingdoms. So, I guess they would be acquaintances.

Like you've stated, they likely met each other when your character went to the East Kingdom for political reasons, but how, exactly? The chances of a knight and a chef meeting are pretty slim. Either Vance was wandering around, looking for the kitchens in order to grab a quick bite, or Myrrh happened to be there in the dining hall when it was time to eat, likely having served the meal alongside the other cooks.

So, what's your input? Wasted Ink Wasted Ink

'Acquaintances on good terms' is a description I can get behind. As you said, going off of their respective careers and Kingdoms, the odds of Vance and Myrrh meeting commonly is a bit far-fetched.

But yeah, if I'm going off of Vance's...unique appetite, it makes a lot of sense for him to get a tad peckish before official dining hours. As such, it is, indeed, possible that he ended up wandering aimlessly through the castle in search of the kitchens, in the hopes of swiping some sort of royal pastry. He'd planned on leaving behind compensation, of course.

Perhaps he was 'caught red-handed' by Myrrh, in the midst of his skulking? Ignoring his towering height and presence, Vance can look pretty damn shady without meaning to, haha.

That sounds like a great idea! I feel like Myrrh would have walked into the kitchen, only to see Vance swiping some of the pastries. She would have frozen temporarily as her mind slowly made the connection, before her mouth would have started running a mile a minute.

Compared to Vance, Myrrh is pretty damn tiny, standing at a meagre height of 4'10, which I'm totally not specifying because you mentioned his. Even so, she would have probably reprimanded him (not really), saying stuff that sounds like scolding, but is actually just her offering to cook for him if he asked. Then bam! The start of a beautiful friendship had been born.

Magnificique. A friendship born on food is a friendship that Vance is eager to see blossom. Holy cow, though, Myrrh is quite petite. Without a doubt, even with his spoils of war clutched in his arms, Vance would've simply taken the admonishment with an entertained and unabashed grin. Small and sassy women amuse him.

She should learn not to let him dictate the choice of food, though. Vance would have her bake a certified feast of sweets, solely for him. The man has no shame.

Ineptitude Ineptitude

Haha, nope. Vance is going to be eating whatever Myrrh fancies making at the time, whether he likes it or not. The only instances where someone can dictate what she's cooking, is if they're challenging her to make something using a specific ingredient, like apple butter or muscovado sugar if you want her to make desserts. It's dares like those that really excite her, since she enjoys expanding her horizons and sharpening her skills in culinary.
