Realistic or Modern ❄ Frostwater

Elizabeth Lacey Grey

By the time Saffron came back Eliza had covered herself with Xander's spare windbreaker and her maroon wooly scarf. Hoping that these would keep her warm enough, she followed Saffron out.

Eliza's glasses fogged up almost immediately from the warm air she exhaled through the scarf. She tucked her hands into the pockets on each side of the windbreaker and walked beside Saffron quietly, her head was down as she examined every footprint with curiosity. Footprints can tell a lot about the person and what they are doing, from the angle they were facing as well as the depth of the prints, such as the ones in front of Eliza that displayed an obvious running motion.

As Eliza was about to lose herself in deeper thoughts, she felt the girl next to her had picked up the pace and so she jogged after her. Being extra careful once she'd touch the frozen lake, she slowly made her way towards the hole Saffron was next to. "Saff, get back, the ice is too fragile and it might crack more if you stay there." With Eliza's ability, she can easily get the... For a second, she tired to feel the presence of the drowning person. Definitely not an angel, but a feathered race, therefore Eliza dubbed her 'Bird Lady'. She can easily get Bird Lady out of the water. Eliza closed her eyes(not because she needed to concentrate, but because it made her look cool) as she held one hand out and parted the water around Bird Lady with swift, gentle motions, while her other hand was used to lift the person up. "Lay it flat, here." Eliza gestured to the woman who held a towel. Frightened, the woman placed the towel down and hurried away with her child. Eliza moved her hand downward until Bird Lady laid on the towel. She exhaled and with a light, tired smile, she asked Saffron, "So, do you know CPR?"

"I took a class once," she said, setting aside her drink and positioning herself on her knees beside the unconscious woman. "You should probably call an ambulance." The situation was dire, and the ice felt like needles on her knees, but Saff was just a bit pleased at being able to put her skills to good use.

She checked for a pulse, then for breathing and found neither. Saffron shifted forward, pressing her hands firmly onto the winged woman's chest and began compressions, playing the tune of "Staying Alive" in her mind to keep the rhythm. Then she gave 2 breaths before repeating compressions. Saffron repeated the cycle of breaths and compressions over and over, sweat beginning to accumulate at her brow despite the freezing temperature. She couldn't remember the last time she did so much work.

Finally, with a last breath, the unconscious woman coughed, spouting up lake water like a human geyser. Saff swiftly tilted the woman's head to the side to prevent her from choking, before falling back with a heavy sigh, exhausted. "Woof," the little demon panted, wiping the sweat from her forehead, "that looked way easier on the instructional video." Saffron looked down at the woman, whose wings she found to be almost black instead of the white she saw in the water. So she wasn't an angel after all.

At the sound of the ambulance, Saffron stood, dusting snow from the seat of her skirt. Paramedics lifted the lady onto a stretcher and surrounded her with hot water bottles and a heated blanket, before toting her away to the vehicle. Saff watched as the ambulance blared down the road. She bent down to pick up her forgotten cup of cocoa, which has since cooled and took a sip. "Well, that was eventful. I think I've had enough fun for one day." Saff was still a bit winded from the exercise and her arms felt numb. Her arms were going to be so sore tomorrow.

Clark looked at the small flame and then saw the gesture. He got up from his stool and looked over to Phill. His hand leaving Phills, he felt instant regret leaving his partner there for the moment. He didn't know if Phill would follow. "I'll be back in a moment"
He hoped phill would want to take the job. But knowing him he wouldn't. He isn't in to working if he doesnt need too. And Clark has enough money in savings. But he is a workaholic. Clark would go insane without work to do. He has to admit, he found the bartender pretty... Cute. But he could not even consider being with him.
(Sorry for the short post. Not many ways to stretch out this)
Clark grabs his hand "I prefer this" he laughs along his bad joke. His voice shaky from the previous worry "So... When do you want us to start?" He asked letting go of the barkeeps hand "Where supposed to be staying in the manor a few blocks away. So once we get unpacked there." He says not quite knowing we're to go afterwards. "Anyways. Want to get out of here Phill. Or is there anything you want to say?"
"It is late we can start in the morning I normally open and close the bar at my Leisure and there's no one here right now so now is a good time"He said stretching a little bit "I'll try and give you the tour tomorrow if you're up for it". He says then thinks for a moment "actually no the manor is opening tomorrow and I'm interested to say the least I'll try the day after tomorrow."

A new day doth begin
The morning is quiet the sound of birds fills the air as sunlight shines through the ice sickles that dot the town

The day ended rather uneventfully with a trip to the nearby hotel and lots of unpacking that left both the demon and the angel exhausted. Despite that, Philip stayed up late into the night, doing who knows what and occasionally glancing across the room to Clark's sleeping form that lay bundled up beneath the covers.

They shared one room but, much to Philip's dismay, were given two single beds. Truth be told, it was for the best as the incubus might not have been able to keep his hands to himself had their situation been in his favor. Still, he couldn't help fantasizing about how the night could have been way more ..fun as he gazed upon the vulnerable body of his angel. It would've been easy to have it his way right then and there... if it were any other person that is, but naturally Philip would never do anything to Clark... not without his consent anyway.

Around midnight, the demon had collected up a huge pile of blankets and layered one ontop of the other to make a warm, monstrous nest of his bed. Satisfied with his sleeping place, Philip stripped off the layers of clothing he'd worn during the day, wearing only a thermal vest and shorts before burrowing down into his bed. Sneaking a glance at his partner, he confirmed that Clark was still well and truly asleep and a fluttering feeling bloomed in his chest as his eyes closed. With him being all cozy and warm, it didn't take long for him to fall into a deep, dreamless sleep under the blankets.

Clark fell asleep with his wings wrapped around himself under a large quilt. He was never cold the whole night. He looked at the Incubus with halarity in his face. He must of made a mound of blankets. And he still had clothes on while it was piled up.
He drifted into a sleep of near hollucinegenic sleep. His mind buzzing the whole night but making him none the less well rested.
The angel was quite the early bird. Waking up around 7:30 and making some coffee. He loved the taste of strong black coffee. After it started brewing he sat down in the kitchen esp area and enjoyed his coffee in silence.
'What am I doing... Im a angel. I am being romantic with a sex demon. That actually likes me back.' he thinks to himself.
But even then he is near creepy in his stance. Sitting Stern and unmoving with the exception of drinking coffee.

He woke up earlier in the morning around 5. Well woke implies dleep bing a half elf meant he didn't truly sleep he more sat still for 5 hours. He quickly made his way to his bar looking it over making sure it wasn't robbed in the night. He was paranoid but he felt it was perfectly acceptable to be paranoid. Especially given what he had in his basement he went home and redressed for the day pulling on sandles ,a pair of shorts, and a thin synthetic shirt. When he didn't work he liked to dress light. He walked out into the snow filled wonderland of frost and walked towards the manor the place had never been opened in all the time he had been here. Even his grand father had never seen it open and he was two hundred and fifty when he passed. He wondered what was inside and why it was open now.

Save for the occasional sip of Clark from his coffee, the room was utterly silent. It was only around 7 that the dead quietness of the room was broken by the sound Philip stirring slightly in his bed... but he was not waking, just merely turning over onto his back under the mass of blankets. Then there was quiet again... until the demon began murmuring something softly over and over. If Clark were to approach his bed, he'd hear that Philip was repeating his name in his sleep, as if it were a chant of some sort. His expression was soft and betrayed nothing but peacefulness.

However, as time ticked on with each murmur of his name, his breathing seemed to grow ragged and his body became hot and agitated, squirming restlessly under the blankets. At first, it looked like he was having one hell of a dream... but his facial expression was slowly changing from one of peacefulness to one of panic and fear. His lips continued to utter Clark's name... but his tone was desperate instead. His hand reached out to grip his pillow, the blankets, his bed...as if he were trying to find something comforting, something familiar, real and living to hold. If anything, it wasn't a dream he was having. It was a nightmare.

Aria's eyes slowly fluttered open, blinking every so often as she adjusted to the bright light of the room. She was in a bed, dressed in a strange pale green gown. As the avian tried to sit up, she found her body too weak to move and could only manage to turn her head to on side in an attempt to look around. The movement caused her head to swirl and tilt violently. Closing her eyes, she let her mind settle before she tried to look at her surroundings again.

The room was plain and white. By her bedside, there was a small table on top of which a vase of pretty white flowers sat. There was also a strange metal pole standing by her bed with a bag of strange liquid that was connected to her left wrist. On one side of the room, there was a window that showed a view of the morning sky. On the other side, there were two doors. One presumably led to the outside while the other seemed to lead to a bathroom. The clock above the hospital room door showed that it was around 7 am.

Slowly, Aria mustered enough strength to reach up and felt for her face, only for her fingers to come in contact with cool plastic. The girl hadn't realized that she was wearing an oxygen mask that connected her to a strange machine on her right. The strange contraption brought on panic as she attempted to sit up, only to collapse again as her mind rocked with the movement.

The creak of the hospital bed caused a nurse to peek out from the bathroom. She seemed friendly enough and made her way over to Aria with her hands reaching out to the panicked girl in a reassuring manner. "Calm down. There is nothing to worry about. You're fine now. That is only an oxygen machine. You lost a lot of oxygen yesterday when you almost drowned. You are lucky those two girls saved you. Anyway let me take this off. You should be fine now. " she murmured cheerily as the lady helped her into a sitting position. Carefully, the nurse disconnected her from the machine and removed the mask. Though Aria was relieved, her mind was else where trying to recall what had happened 'yesterday'. Instead, her mind was completely blank... except for one image. It was of the faces of two girls.. one pale haired and one dark haired. There was something off about them.. but the avian knew one thing for sure, that they were her saviors.

"..where... where are they...?" she murmured softly. Though her voice was hoarse, thankfully the young nurse could hear her well enough.
"Ah.. the two girls? They are knew to the town I think... so they must be staying at the hotel. If you'd like, we can ring up the hotel and let you talk to them?"

To this Aria nodded weakly and the nice lady went to go get a phone.

Clark finished his second cup of coffee before hearing Phill's words float into the silence. Clark got closer to Phill before seeing him start move. Outreaching ans looking for somethin-well more like someone to grab. Clark sighed and realized that Phill was having a nightmare. He was a little shocked, he didn't think demons got nightmares. After all they are from hell and alot cause nightmares.
So Clark took a risk, removed a large portion of the blankets, and climbed into the bed with Phill. At the least spooning with him and at the most, on top of him. As this was a Twin size bed and it was very small. Clark put his arm around Phill's gut/chest area and started to drift back into sleep. However, it would not be for long. With the coffee in his system and what not.

With Clark's arms around him and his body warm againt his, the demon seemed to calm down slightly. His hand reached for his partners, gripping on tightly as if it were his lifeline. Both his body and his breathing seemed to slow and settle down as he sunk into the angel's embrace, craving his every touch. In a few short moments, Philip seemed to be at peace again as whatever plagued his mind left him completely and he was able to sleep again.

After a few moments of undisturbed rest, the young man began to wake. At first all he did was snuggle further into the angel's body for warmth ...but then he turned his head, opened his eyes and truly took in his current situation. Clark was in his bed, pressed up against him and with his arms around him. The angel was so still and quiet.. and almost at peace. At first, Philip was hella confused as to what his partner was doing.. until bits and pieces of his nightmare came drifting into his mind and panic settled in again.

"Clark!" He gasped, turning in the bed so that he was facing him completely. His hands went to his face before feeling over the angel's body, checking him over for anything out of place as he prayed to the gods (lol) that what he had dreamt of wasn't true. It was only when he quietened down enough to hear Clark's soft breathing that the demon finally calmed down, his head falling against the pillow. "Thank god.." he murmured softly under his breathe, " you're alive."

Elizabeth and Alexander Grey

Xander stayed awake all night, waiting for his sister to return to the hotel. He'd toss and turn; from time to time he glanced over at the flat, empty bed that sat a few feet across. It was a little before sunrise when the window creaked open, Eliza's pitch black wings casted a terrifying shadow as she stood idle. Xander waited. Seconds later she let out a painful groan as her scythe melted into her skin, and just before it disappeared completely it released a small, yet dreadful scream.

The screams of her victims tonight, those whose wishes had been granted but refused to fulfill their end of the bargain. At least she got there before the hellhounds, otherwise they would've gone down in a much messier way. Eliza peeled off her blood drenched cloths and changed into clean ones, then climbed into Xander's bed. He cradled her in his arms and turned up his body temperature enough to warm up her shivering self. "I... She was... So little... I couldn't... I... Had to..." She covered her face with her arms. Alexander pulled her closer, he stroked her hair gently and whispered."Shhh, it's all right now, you did it and that's all that matters." Hell had given them a second chance; it allowed them to grow stronger and more powerful, so much so that Xander almost forgot, deep down inside both of them there will always be remains of their weak, sympathetic past-selves: Damien and Lacey**.

Xander listened for Eliza's breathing, as soon as it turned slow and even he allowed himself to catch a few hours of sleep. The manor was opening, and he was excited to discover some of the dark secrets behind this ancient structure.

Clark quickly woke up he felt movement in the bed. But stayed still for the most part. Wanting to be in Phill's embrace for a little bit longer. That was before Phill got up and put his hands on Clark's face. Which made him jolt a bit. His eyes opening to see Phill's worried expression "He-" he was interrupted by the Incubus comment and before he could say something he fell back onto the bed. Seemingly out of relief
"What happened, you were tossing and turning in your sleep"
His breath was calm, he didn't want to worry Phill. His voice was a calm and caring tone. He wanted to help, and his tone said that better than his words.

☾ Saffron ☽
Location: Hotel | Tags: Mirai Mirai Dominaiscna Dominaiscna
Saffron returned to her hotel room last night exhausted, yet rest did not come easy. In bed, she stared blankly at the dark cieling, drifting in and out of consciousness until finally she slipped into uneasy sleep.

All too soon her eyes shot open, peering at the fluorescent green numbers of the digital clock by her bedside. '1:30 am... I slept for two and a half hours straight. That's a new record,' she observed with humor. Saffron sat up in her bed, stretched, and went about getting dressed, knowing fully that she wouldn't be returning to sleep now that she was awake. Insomnia was a shadow on her mind, neither welcome nor particularly hated, but ever constant. She took sleep whenever she could get it, usually in power naps throughout the day, when dream demons are supposed to be in bed, but the sleep is light and easily broken. It was never much of a bother; Saffron takes most of her energy from consuming dreams, anyway. That was the plus side to being awake at all hours: she had more time to hunt and all that practice made her pretty damn good at what she does. The only difference is she has to consume twice as many dreams as any other demon, but that's the price to pay for skills like hers.

Saffron slipped on her coat and boots, slid open the hotel window, and was gone. She spent all of that night harvesting dreams, very intimately getting to know as many of the townspeople as she could without their knowledge. The demon entered their dreams delved into their minds, laying their history bare for her prying eyes to see, and in return for their secrets, she gifted them nightmares. It was just a nightmare kind of day for her.

By the time she finished dawn had begun its slow creep over the horizon, touching the sky with gray. One thing Saff noticed about this town was that she wasn't the only one who moved in the night. There were other creatures in the shadows, creeping just outside her field of vision. Respectfully they kept to themselves, and she to herself, although she thought she saw something moving towards the hotel. She shrugged, giving it no second thought.

Saff killed time while waiting for the local cafe to open by walking around town, eventually coming upon town square. At its center was a large stone fountain, the water frozen so that it hung from the tiers in glistening icicles. It was jaggedly beautiful, like an ice statue. Saffron stood still and admired it for a moment, hands in her pockets and nose burrowed deep within her scarf, before continuing her stroll to keep from freezing. She contemplated all that she witnessed during her dream harvest; amused by the secrets she found. Eventually, her thoughts drifted back to the woman she saved at the lake. 'I think I'll visit her later,' she decided, turning back towards the hotel, 'maybe after breakfast. Oh! I should invite Xander and Eliza out to eat with me.' Saffron smiled at the prospect of spending time with her childhood friends again and practically skipped through the hotel doors.

As soon as the demon saw that Clark was fine, he visibly relaxed and gently curled himself against his angel, soaking in the warmth of his body. Philip's forehead rested against his chest as he quietly listened to the faint sound of his heart beat. The rhythmic, constant and healthy beating was an assurance of life and calmed him down.

Gently his eyes fluttered closed in peace but snapped open as his partner asked what had happened. His mind pieced together the dream he had, but this time, his movements were much more controlled. Slowly he sat up in the bed, facing slightly away from Clark and in the direction of the window. A light chuckle escaped the incubus's lips but anyone who knew him well would notice the tension and dryness of his voice. "Don't worry... Clark," he spoke softly, pushing off of the bed with a reassuring smile on his face, "it was just a silly dream." Making his way over to the chair, he picked up his jacket and slipped it on, all the while murmuring in a barely audible voice, 'it was just a dream'. It seemed like he was talking more to himself.

The young girl sat by the window on a small stool, staring out at the view of the ocean and the rising sun. A blanket was gently slung over her shoulders to ward off the chill of the morning. The IV pole stood next to her like a silent companion for Aria as she sat, waiting in silence. In one hand, she cradled a landline phone. The nurse had given her the number to the hotel.. but when she had called, the people at the front desk had said that the girl with the pale features had left a little while earlier and said that she could phone back later. Hence, there sat the avian, trying to recall what the other person looked like.. after all, there were two people who had been there where she woke up... but she only really remembered one.

Gently, Aria rested her elbows on the window sill and placed her head in her hands, deep in thought. It wasn't just the other person she couldn't remember.. it was just about everything in her memory. There was nothing there. And due to that, the young lady didn't know how to feel. Countless of emotions were buried in her heart, pain, sadness, loneliness, curiosity, anxiety.... no one truly reigned supreme over the others. What was going on?

Behind her, the door to her hospital ward opened as the nurse came in. "Ah, Miss, I'm going to guess you weren't able to get a hold of the person?" the nurse said as Aria nodded slowly, "...hmmm well then, you can call later. For now, lets get you out for some exercise and fresh air."

I'm sorry for responding so late. Life is a asshole))
Clark looked over to Phill and sighed. "Sure it was nothing.... We can deal with it later." Clark followed suit quickly grabbing his clothes from yesterday and putting them on. It was almost better than nothing... "But first we need to go to the market with that demon from yesterday. I've been Freezing my ass off. Anyways, I brewed some coffee, drink some. That stuff will wake you up" he goes to his sandles and slips them on. Struggling a bit to get his feet into them, mostly from excecive use.
Clark worried about Phill. But it was getting late, well it was for Clark. But he simply didn't have time to give a whole armchair phychology rundown. So he figured he might as well forget about it for now.

The demon was glad that his angel let the conversation drop... inevitably, they would have to talk about it. If not then, then later. As he zipped up his jacket, he stole a glance to his partner who was also getting dressed and trying to get his feet into sandals. The action looked like that of a child struggling to put on shoes and there was just something very cute about it. Shaking his head, Philip couldn't help but let out a chuckle as a weak smile pulled at the corner of his lips. "Thanks Clark.."

Making his way over to the kitchen, the incubus poured himself a cup of warm coffee, adding in a bunch of milk and sugar for taste. Once he was satisfied with his drink, he went back to his room with the mug in hand, taking a seat on the corner of his bed to wait for Clark. Quietly, he sipped his coffee, feeling the liquid warm his insides as he watched his partner get ready.

"In all honesty we should probably be getting some breakfast first. Coffee on an empty stomach never ends well," he commented quietly, casting a glance at the clock on the wall. Well he wasn't lying about coffee being bad for an empty stomach... but Philip saying that was also due to the fact that he wasn't looking forward to seeing the other demon again.

"Plus, isn't the manor opening today or something?

Elizabeth Lacey Grey

Eliza was up before Xander, as per usual. She had treated herself to a nice long, relaxing bath with drops of rosewater. She held her breath and went under, allowing the clumps of blood on the tips of her hair to stain the water.

Still underwater, she sensed the body on the bed shift. He sat up right and stretched out, yawning. Strands of hair moved away from his face as he tilted his head back to crack his neck. For some reason, Eliza hated that cracking sound, it made her uncomfortable and gave her goosebumps, but Xander loved it, and he'd constantly do it directly next to her. Eliza closed her eyes and tried to think if something else. The girl. She suddenly remembered, the avian girl she and Saffron had saved.

After the paramedics' arrival, Eliza lost her interest in the girl. Tired and cold, she wanted to go somewhere warm and take a long nap before she needed to leave for work. Best of luck to you, Eliza thought, she glanced at the avian one last time, then turned around and headed in the direction of the bar.

"You think the doctors managed to save her?" Eliza lifted herself out of the bloodstained water and wrapped a bath towel around her, she reached into the overhead shelf in search of a pair of slippers. "Hmm? Oh, the bird girl? Yeah, yeah, I'm sure she's fine now. Don't underestimate birds. Remember that fledgling we found?" Xander pulled his jeans up. "The one with the fucked up leg?" Eliza felt the polyester fabric of the slippers against her fingers, with slight hesitation - whether to save it for Xander or not - she pulled it off the shelf and slipped her cold feet into it. "Mhmm, couple months later, I saw it again. Still limping and all, but he looked perfectly fine everywhere else. The point is, she should be OK, but if you wanna go visit, I ain't stopping you" Xander tied up his shoelaces, then tidied his long hair by running his fingers through it. "Well, I'm all dressed and ready to go." He announced as he opened the curtains. "Are you now?" Eliza stomped out of the bathroom with only the towel around her. Xander coughed. "Oh look, my shoelaces are untied, let me just.."

15 minutes later, they were both ready. The pair left their hotel room and went down to the lobby via elevator. They were suppose to meet up with Saffron as planned. Though Eliza still held the bad memories, she hoped her childhood friend waited, for Xander's sake.

Clark didn't think anything of the demon. Being friends with Phill for so long desensitized him to that. He still gets nervous around more than one though. Clark long finished his coffee and once he got his shoes on, he was ready.
"I guess your right. We can pick up some breakfast. But we get clothes afterwards. I'm tired of being the towns eye candy" Clark said jokingly with a pinch of annoyance.
"The manor I'd already open I think. E can go anytime. But I would hate to miss our chance to meet some of the other visiters."
Clark looked back at himself from his previous quote. He stands up from the bed and moves towards the door. "Let's get going."

The demon chuckled softly as Clark muttered in annoyance about his clothing. "Though I hate the rest of the town eyeing you up and down, I don't want my eyes to be starved either," he murmured softly, taking a sip of the warm coffee. The liquid was starting to take effect and he felt more awake, warm... and oddly relaxed as the trauma from the nightmares seemed to subside slightly.

As he watched his partner get dress and eagerly want to get out to meet the others, Philip couldn't help feeling a little disappointed that they would not be alone for a huge long time. "Yeah, lets go I guess.... actually, wait." Gently, he placed his mug down and wrapped his arms around his angel from behind in a light embrace. Leaning forward slightly, he placed a feathery kiss on the back of Clark's neck before burying his face in his partner's warm feathers. There he stood, holding him for a moment before he let go, feeling a bit better.

"Yah, lets go. I think it'll be nice to start our day off with some breakfast with the little boss."

Saffron sat in one of the cushy armchairs in front of the fireplace of the hotel lobby, her hands extended over the heat to warm. A hint of a smile played on her lips, while her face was thoughtful and calm, holding an almost childlike innocence that upon seeing her nobody would ever guess that last night she was the cause of nearly an entire town's private turmoil. Earlier, when she had returned to the hotel from her night out, the clerk at the front desk informed her that she recieved a call from the hospital. 'It must be the bird lady we saved yesterday. How nice of her to call! She must want to see us.' Saff smiled to herself, making a mental note to pick up flowers on her way to the hospital later.

Saffron's height left her boots dangling a smidge above the carpeted floor, allowing her to idly kick her legs as she waited for the twins to come down. Towards the back of the lobby, a high pitched 'ding' sounded from the elevators. The girl turned her head to see her childhood friends walk out of the elevator. Saff held up a hand and waved, then hopped off the soft cushions of the armchair and wandered over to them. "Morning, you two. Did you sleep well?" She asked as they made their way out of the hotel.

Clark laughed a bit under his breath. He spoke up louder compared to his last words. "You won't starve. I can promise you that" he smiles deviously. But the moment was short. Phill surprised Clark with the kiss, but all he did was jump a tad. but the hug was over in a second and it was disappointing; albeit wonderful while it lasted. He could not help but have red hot cheeks from the whole situation. But that didn't take away from the emotion in the moment.
Clark nodded to Phill in agreement. "Let's get some breakfast then meet with Saf, we have a long day ahead of us" Clark prevented his inner 13 year old from taking over and making a immature comment.
The 2 walked out of the apartment in their attire. Phill wearing his heavy layers and Clark wearing... We'll all he has, a t shirt, shorts, sandles, and his wings. They took the elevator down and with a ding it opened. They exited the apartment and went down through the lobby. And walked to the bar. Opening the door, and seeing a few people in there along with the barkeep. Who was still feminine as ever. They both walked up to the counter, Clark lagging behind, both leaned close to each other, While walking. Not awkwardly close but you could tell. When they sat, they waited for him to come near.

He turns around quickly cooking eggs "howdy" he chimes as he serves the two eggs over easy to a dwarf sitting on a bar stool his legs far off the ground. He finally realises who it is "ah isn't it my new employees what can I do you for" he said trying to mental prepare him self for the succbies wiles. It was particularly cold this morning so he had out lanterns which flickered with the magical flames within. He hated paying a heating Bill ,thought it was highway robbery what they asked for so pyromancy once more served as the sole heating for the building.

While they waited for Chris to finish serving his customer, the demon fiddled around with the salt and pepper bottles. Normally, his hands would be doing very different things when a certain someone was so close, but for some reason, he kept his hands to himself. Not long after, Phillip's incessant fiddling ended up with him taking apart the little bottles and split some of the salt. Casually, he pinched the crystals between his thumb and forefinger before tossing them over his left shoulder. It was a stupid little superstition, but he was not risking anything bad coming his way.

After a few moments, Chris piped up, recognizing the two of them. Giving him a wave, Philip warmly greeted "morning boss," before getting up and walking over to the bar. There he leaned forward against the counter with his arms supporting him, saying jokingly "We haven't had breakfast yet...so mind cooking up some food for us? Welcome employees gift maybe?" As an after thought, the incubus added in a low voice with a mischievous smirk, "I'll make it worth your while, what do you say...boss?" After the half elf's reaction from yesterday, the demon figured that he could be easily riled up... so he wanted to tease him a little. After all, it was never to early in the day to have some fun.

Clark went to go say something but Phill beat him to the punch. Clark got a tad bit peeved at Phill for being so... Demanding but it wasn't important. Clark waited for Phill to finish talking. But after those last few words, decided it was best just let Phill have fun. "I'll take a glass of water when you get the chance. Just make me what your making Phill. After that, just tell me what you need me to do" he wasn't going to bother with professional part of it all. After all this is a unprofessional as it gets.
Clark decided that he would start messing with the bartender once Phil was done. He didn't want to conflict. That and Phill seemed to be having the time of his life, messing with the barkeep like he was.
