Fantasy Seiunita's Planning Thread

Hell, in total this is gonna be only 15% of our requests. We're off to name hills, mountains, valleys, oceans, rivers, and other unusual landmarks like the World Scar caused during the Great War. Plus, we have to talk about the colonies in the other islands and the other minor kingdoms.

Thanks for taking off the workload, Eleph, a project this size requires teamwork.

Teamwork is POWERFUL.

I need to scram right now. See yous fonk later.

If we're going to make a map of the city of Alisetta, the towns of Elysium and various other maps of villages... we can do so by talking with King.

We might even ask him to make maps of important battles and so on and so forth.

I take it back, asking King to map out all of the Elysian duchies and estates isn't going to be 15% of our requests, its going to be at least 5% of it.

Here is my draft for the Capital duchies.

Capital Duchies:

Duchy of Mythgar (9 estates)

1. House of Nord
2. House of Keefes
3. House of Emild
4. House of Yamiladen
5. House Dairionn
6. House of Marjay
7. House of Clorisia
8. House of Ranegan
9. House of Chariseia

Duchy of Leroihroth (12 estates)

1. House of Duciemurron
2. House of Haldrdrian
3. House of Achaifaust
4. House of Hielicus
5. House of Reanrihard
6. House of Moyraya
7. House of Viligo
8. House of Grax
9. House of Waldegard
10. House of Marg
11. House of Dwenaley
12. House of Svensikild

Also to avoid confusing the characters with each other, we may name Lords and Dukes after the estates and duchies they come from. There will be few exceptions to this for characters who are well-known for certain things like Lord Walter the Bastard, who is known for his illegitimacy and Duke Waldemar the One-eyed, who was known for having his right eye shot by an arrow.

For now naming characters like, Duke Helge of Iavios, Lord Elmond of Marjay, and Lady Ashemoore of Nord shall be the norm.

A while ago, King posted this:

(Ignore the coloring for now)

Is everyone pleased with the layout now?

Also, what is the flora like in the earth kingdom?

Oh wow the Water Kingdom is HUEG.

Also I have seen this map before. Hm.... I guess that's where I got the idea for Argos and Kraken Sound.

Since King did mention something about the flora and fauna of the place... we should think about the environmental conditions of certain areas that can produce certain plants and animals and other forms of life such as fungi... and we're gonna have to talk about diseases native to certain races and shit...

Fuck yes its huge. What's more is that they have a FUCKING FLEET that can travel through most of the map. And they can use those ships to travel inland too, can you believe it?

But beware, if you try to go deep into Elysian territory through its rivers they'll have river forts ready.

I have a few.
Scale rot, effects merfolk, not contagious.
Scurvy, lack of vitamin C, effects all non-seafolk humanoids
Tropical flu, spread by mosquitoes, effects anyone, non-fatal if treated.

The League is more interested in profit then invasion. We are mercs after all.

Interesting, well I have my own say for the Elysians.
The Elysian lands are temperate, having both hot summers and cold winters.
Once in a while, a plague spreads throughout the land, killing thousands or even millions.
There are several races, mostly Light-oriented or Neutral but few races that are Dark since those types are hunted down by the Elysians...

Hah, I can speak for the Northern Elysians, they're more interested in bragging rights and land. But they're more motivated by the bragging rights.

You know, I don't exactly think that big of a plague would happen in Elysium. I mean, of all the elements I'd imagine light would probably be the best for healing and curing of diseases.

Not just mercs but your kind seems to remind me of... the Venetians!

Merchant-mercenary-entrepreneurs. Setting up businesses throughout the world and using your military power to protect trade and keep prices low by reducing the risks of sea travel. Yes, yes, you strike me as those types of people. Your kind is going to be spreading technology, ideas, and goods all over the globe. That is the faction you control, Wanda, and its a powerful one!

You may be right about the goods and ideas but tech? No siree. The tech behind the Tempest flamers is to be kept secret.

Hmm, you're right though. But that depends on how many people know light magic and how educated the people are. So plagues may claim only a few hundred people before being extinguished... only to resurface again in another kingdom.

No, not Tempest flamers but the inventions of the common folk and probably the intellectual nobility in the different kingdoms. There might be the printing press invented in Elysium, and it shall spread through the other kingdoms through the ships of the Oceanic League.

Maybe, though it seems magic is pretty prevalent in this RP, I don't think we need to worry about how widespread it is since most people seem to know even a few simple spells.

Ah. I see what you mean. Spreading things they buy.

Also I've finally got free time today, grim expect a post and heis I can finally name those duchies
Ah. Don't push yourself.
*Lady Une nods and walks away*

Hmm, I had a different idea. I thought that magic was hard to learn and that only a few experts trained in top universities of the nobles were able to master it. And there would be traveling teachers that would teach magic at a high price... so I thought magic was exclusive to an elite few.

Any water folk ninny can learn water magic. Its a matter of practice.

I dunno, magic seems to very prevalent, we'll have to ask shadowz.
That... was unexpected because me and Eleph decided to name those Capital duchies ourselves...
okay well this is where you two learn the virtue of patience.

And I hope they have time for practice, I wonder what's the standard of living for each person living here. They might be one of the multiple sons of a family, unemployed and trying to look for work in the towns and cities. They might be the eldest son of the family, doomed to learn the tricks of the profession of his father...

But yeah, even if people do have work lives and they are busy its still quite possible for one to be proficient at magic.
