Nope. We have to do that by hand. We will be reaching out to select RPs as they start to dwindle down and start getting them back up to snuff, but we will let users keep their forums.
And what if an rp suffers due to the lack of the GMs ability to moderate? That doesn't seem fair that it would be archived because the GM doesn't have the ability to do the things that sometimes are needed to keep an rp organized.

There is a report button and several support forums.

Those who need it will be reached anyway in due time. Just not at the initial super fast speed.

So existing HPs will never ever gain moderation abilities again?

My two HPs have existed since before the original move to IPS. They're both extremely extensive and I'm going to be bugging the staff even more if I have to ask for them to do every little moderation thing possible. That is not going to achieve the goal of not bogging down the staff as much. It is going to bog them down more.

Same here, I have a number of locked threads for organization purposes, and to keep spam away. Currently I am unable to unlock them and cannot EDIT posts for information archiving, and quick access.

So... whats this mean? My two HPs I have and asked for in a thread in that HP support forum.. are just...

Are just what? Not to be made into HPs? And just be threads?

I cant be GM or mod or whatever to them anymore? Tho they are mine?
I joined the site after all this was normal (ie: how it was before this recent change), so all this stuff is new and confusing to me.

Calm down, folks. Don't panic.

Report what? That a thread is locked? What if I don't want it to be unlocked because I don't want members posting in it, but I still want to be able to edit it?
Report it or make a post in Roleplay Support. Staff will unlock it, you can do your editing, and then ask them to lock it again. Believe me, this is much less work than altering all of the many HPs we've received requests about.

HPs that are currently HPs will stay just as they are. That's what "grandfathered in" means. If you have HPs right now, they'll stay as they are. They will not be moved to the regular thread RP sections. As long as they stay active, they will not be archived. You're still the GM, and the roleplay still belongs to you. You just don't have all the fancy tools we had on the previous version.

As we have time, we'll be reaching out to GMs about moving them to the "new" section, where they will have more control over their HPs than is currently available.

Given the absolute flood of requests we received, and the very limited number of admins to deal with them (remember, everyone, we're all volunteers doing this on our spare time -- this is not our full-time job), we feel this is the best way to go about it.

I'm just concerned that my rps are going to suffer because I can't do things like I used to be able to. Then they're going to be inactive for thirty days, not because I wasn't trying, but because I didn't have the capability of keeping things organized, and then they're going to get archived because I can't fully moderate them.

So for HPs that haven't had a huge arc yet, like mine, but have dozens of posts everyday, wouldn't it be easier for me just to make a new HP rather than wait to have the old one converted?

I figure once you have an arc that's a lot of lore you'd have to bring over, but as it stands right now it'd be easy to just make a new one

I do know this much. There is no way to make a new HP without an admin. Admins are the ones who make them and that's why all the old ones are waiting on admin support to get moved.

It won't take Staff 30 days to respond to a request, trust me. It shouldn't be more than a day or two at the absolute longest.

Please just trust us on this. If you find your RP is getting close to that 30-day mark, all you have to do is post in it.

No, because we aren't making new HPs right now.

New HPs can't be made.

HPs are the forums, if you haven't noticed they are like site sections like General Discussion, etc.

We will one day in the future open applications again once the existing numbers dwindles down.

Okay, so I have an HP that sort of died out before the update, but I was hoping to just clear that HP up and recycle the old thread and idea.

At this point, would it be better if I just allowed it to be archived, and made a new HP later?

I suggest reusing the old one, because we don't know when we'll be opening up new ones. Just get it going enough to not be inactive, that's all.

What are you confused about? Do you have a specific question?
I didn't mean it literally, it was a bit of an over-exaggeration xD I guess I'm slightly confused. Okay, so what's the difference between the New HPs and Old HP section? Is the Old HPs still easy to be seen? I'd hate to see a Roleplay go inactive due to it being in a complicated spot to access.

You are like the only exception to this rule, you are still going to the regular section because Fantasy Highschool is eternal and will never go inactive.

Ah, okay. That's perfect :D

This is surprisingly true, FHS has seen every software switch xD

so.. i may be "gm", but do i still have the option to like.. edit stuff in it? i couldnt find that
For now, you are only able to edit your own posts. The ability to edit other people's posts in your rp will likely not come until you've been transitioned into the actual HP system which may take time.

Well I've read the latest edit to the first post as well as the last couple pages of recent responses, and I am still confused. Were all the Hosted Project re-applications just turned down en masse? Those that we've been told to make in HP Support? Or are you just saying that it's going to take some more time?

I've a bad feeling about this, somehow *woof*

You will once the permissions are restored. ^^ In the meantime, if you would like help with editing your threads, please make a support thread.

Okay okay thats what I was worried about, i got it now, thanks :)
