The Sojourn for Starmetal

He sighed, scratching his head. "It's ok... just don't try to cause something that would put you in Danger..." he said and bowed down, smiling at her. "But you should meet other people, too..." he added. "When I'm right, I'm your only friend... you should really start to befriend with someone, someone in your age needs that... Just keep in mind that I'll instantly break up the interaction when the person you're talking to threats you so your blood doesn't start to sing as fast as normal..." He sighed and stretched, leaving the cargo bay.

Snow: "I don't need friends... I have you. You are all that I need Shura. The only one I trust." She looked at the water and the ground. At the town and the people. "I wasn't looking for danger when I went down there you know."

"Darn near any amount of Starmetal would make this trip worth our while. In the unlikely event it doesn't respond to alchemical treatment I could make a fortune just selling it as raw material!" he replies. There wasn't much of a supply of the stuff so he could could practically set the market price to whatever he pleased! Her sheepish comments about actually needing to buy some stuff elicited an amused laugh from Julius as he finally made his way over to her. "Well, I still have wares to sell as always." he says with a smile. "I made stuff ahead of time so I could make some sales while we travel. The sooner I start recouping my expenses the better I'll be." At least he hoped so. It would take him a long time to make back what he lost purely by selling his stuff like he used to do. Who knows, maybe he would make a few sales on the ship too as odd as the thought was to him. He made a mental note to sell cheaper for people on the ship for the duration of the journey. The human leans over on the railing. "You can watch me at the workbench all you want for now. I'm glad you came along for this." It was nice to have at least one familiar face in this party. Even if he was a decent salesman that knew how to keep a smile and chipper attitude there was still a feeling of warmth and familiarity of traveling with a friend. "Just let me know what you need and I can get you squared away on it."

@Strange_Encounters

Yuuki was really glad she knew someone other than Alluria, even though she was quite happy to be traveling with her love. Iving Julius a smug smile she thought about stuff she would want and need. "Hmm, well health potions and also potions to replenish mana for my girlfriend." Yuuki grinned from ear to ear when she said girlfriend, she definitely was still in the lovey dovey stages of the relationship. Hopping down she looked around watching two of the people aboard head down into the ship. "Some of these people aboard seem tense, their auras are kinda all over the place, I really hope theres no drama.." Yuuki had a dull look on her face as she sighed and returned her attention to Julius. "You can also show me anything new that you've made, you know how I love your crazy elixers. " She laughed and gave a pat to his arm. "I hope this trip is kinda long, it's really good chatting with you." She looked away sheepishly and rubbed her head slightly as she spoke quieter, her looking kinda embarrassed. "It's kinda embarrassing to say, but when we hang out like this it makes me feel like I have an older brother." She grinned as she blushed, trying to laugh it off awkwardly.

"With this many people on board I wouldn't be surprised at a disagreement or two. It is going to be a bit of a trip." Julius sighs with a shrug. Still it was pretty heartwarming to see his friend so lovey dovey over her girlfriend. As much as he was up and away there was little time for him to even consider trying to get a girlfriend himself. It wasn't a surprise she considered him a lot like an older brother since he was one of seven but his large family was irrelevant right now. Her remarks got a smile from him anyway though. "Well little sis, I'm glad you enjoy having me around. The feeling's mutual." he gives with a teasing laugh to her awkward (for just her) feeling comment. "Since I finally found a good market for my health potions I had a small stockpile of them made, but I'm scarce in mana potions. Any more than four and I'll have to make a fresh batch of them, not that it will be an issue for me." he confirms for her order. He shifts and leans his back against the railing now. "But other than my perfected Thunderstones, I only have one new thing I'm trying to sell off but I'll show it to you if you really want to see it."

Shura looked behind him at Snow. "..." he smiled and sighed. "...it's sweet of you to say that..." Shura said and had a wide smile on his face, as suddenly the voice in his head appeared again. 'that feeling... that ylfeeling that you're needed... she only uses you, you know?' The voice said, but Shura ignored it, still smiling.

Snow: She looked at him as he smiled and she tilted her head. "Why do you do that?" She asked cryptically, her eyes searching every tiny minuscule muscle movement his face made. She was observant like that. Well... she was that observant of him since she had spent so much of her time making sure she could trust him. And of course... his face was something she stared at a lot of the times. But just for safety purposes! Yep... Safety.

"Huh? Do what?" First Shura didn't know what Snow meant as he them noticed her looking-- No, observing and scanning his face. "Do you mean smiling?" He asked, still smiling. "Well... I do it because I'm nice and kind and very friendly..." he then grinned as if he was planning something. "But maybe I'm smiling because of you? Who knows... Who knows..." he chuckled a bit. "Why do you ask?"

Snow: "No you smile... then suddenly it becomes forced. Why? You don't have to smile in front of me. Our contract does not force you too." She spoke plainly, looking away from him to her hands and the floor.

Shura looks a bit surprised. He scratches his head and smiled again. "I-It's not forced... why do you think that?" He smiles at Snow. "I know that our contract doesn't force me to... but it's bit forced..." He was lying. It was a bit forced, but he seems to not notice it himself.

Snow: She nodded and looked away, walking to the sleeping quarters. "I think it because I know it. Shura... surely you know that I have a knack for knowing things in order to protect myself. Am I safe with you still? Or are you starting to resent me?" She believed the forced smile was because of her actions. What else could it be?

Shura followed her. He stopped smiling. He finally noticed his partly forced smile. Why was his smile forced? He didn't knew either. "I'd never resent you... are you stupid?" Shura sighed, not smiling. "I'm sorry that my smile seems to be forced-- No-- I'm sorry that I forced my smile... but..." Shura sighed again. "Honestly... I want to smile around you..." He scratches his head again and keeps following Snow.

Snow: "I trust you." She stopped and turned to look at him, blinking her eyes softly. "Don't apologize Shura. I was only worried about you..." She sighed and studied his face some more. Reaching up, she softly took his hand and placed it on her head for him to pat. Her face tried a smile of its own. "I am not stupid. Just young remember?"

It wasn't forced. "Your smile is cute, you should smile more often..." he said with a little chuckle. "Sorry I called you stupid, young miss..."

Hard yellow eyes scanned the deck of the ship, observing the gathering questgoers. She wondered what had gathered them, as they didn't look like they had anything in common, much less a common goal. However, Mindfang didn't dwell on it, as she heard a familiar voice soon after she had arrived at her observation point.

She dragged her nail on the wood, looking at the deck. "You know me so well." She replied coyly, turning around to face the her red-eyed engineer. The wind blew directly in her face, whipping her hair behind her.

Charlie boarded the airship, hugging her shoulder-bag and scanning the questgoers for a familiar face. She reached into her bag, her hand finding exactly what it wanted. A large, fuzzy blanket that had been easily fit into her abyssal-satchel. She stroked it, calming her nerves and finally finding who she was looking for. Julius had made his way onto the ship, and she was pleased to see him there. She approached him, giving a small wave, unsure of what to do for a friendly introduction.

While he talked to his old elven friend yet another face materialized. A new friend, and arguably one of the biggest reasons he got this trip together in the first place! "Charlie, hey!" he shouts over to her as she approached, giving her a wave to signal her on over to where he and Yuuki were. "Glad you made it, I was starting to think you would be late to the party!" he cheerily adds. Finally, it looked like everybody was all here. He wouldn't have to give some big speech to remind everyone of the goals and where they would be heading, would he? He kind of hoped not even though he was sure he could do so.

He got quite bored of the quiet cargo bay, he fliped his hood on, put his ring in his pocket, and picked up the golden hilt and attached it to his belt. He made his way up to the main deck, weilding nothing but a bladeless hilt, and a strange staff. A warrior with seemingly no weapons... his scars were the only thing besides his armor that made him seem like a warrior.

Snow: She rolled her eyes and stepped away from him and leaned back against the wooden wall of the ship. "You are forgiven. Now when do you think we'll take off? Have you met with the captain yet?" She looked all around as her blood hummed, softer than the flutter of a butterflies wing. The vampire macho man must have left the cargo bay. Luckily he wasn't close... still, they would be stuck on a boat together. Goosebumps graced her arms.

 Aurellia offered a teasing smirk that showed her fangs as she looked mindfang up and down as they turned to face her. "You know I do. I've been on this Old girl just as long as you have captain." She said, cocking her hip as she rested a hand on it, her eyes half-closing as the wind whipped around her. "I love me some Airship....shame my captain is someone like you" she said, her voice lilting as she walked to stand by her and lean against the railing to overlook the odd group they had.

Alluria smiled at Gygax as she looked at the pair, introducing herself before they both just left them. Chuckling to Gygax as she looked at her old friend she shrugged. "Well, you certainly choose interesting company." She said teasingly as she searched the deck for her beloved, seeing her talking with the benefactor of the trip like old friends. "Well at the festival I ran into my beloved, we love adventuring and when she heard about this we felt it was the perfect adventure for us to together. I mever expected to run into an old friend here though." She said softly, "though I'm glad to see a friend I can rely on here."

@CoreyXIX

"I see." Gygax said as he followed Alluria eyes as she searched for her beloved, eventually seeing her. Gygax hadn't even known much about Alluria's personal life, since so little of that discussion ever really came up when he discussed things with other people. "I'll admit those two weren't exactly me choosing company since apparently they were hired out for this too. I was just trying to get to know a little about our traveling companions." Really, he had learned a fair bit just from that brief interaction. "I'm glad you can travel with your beloved for this adventure, it makes things much better." he softly chuckled. The thought of traveling adventurers reminded him a little of his late lover, but that old thought would be one he was in too good a mood to stay dwelling on. "And I'm glad to have an old comrade to rely on while I'm here too. There will be much work to be had while we search for the starmetal." It still felt a little weird for him to be using the Common tongue variant for the object they went for, but he would do so. "I'm just glad he put the expedition together when he did, I can say from experience that the stuff can be powerful in the right hands."

Shura shook his head. "No, I haven't met the captain yet... and I don't have the slightest idea when we'll take off... sorry, Miss..." he said and and smiles, then sighed and then suddenly yawned. "I'm tired..." he stretches and yawns again. "Ugh..." he looks tired out of a sudden and Rubs his eyes. "So... what did you plan on doing here on the ship? You should really talk to other people... you don't have to make friends in an instant..."

Charlie gave Julius a bear hug, no longer containing her emotions. They had made this. Charlie was so excited to start all of this with Julius, to get on the right track. A good, well-meant quest always was a great change of pace.

@CoreyXIX

"Oh! W-well then.." Julius remarked with what would have been a chuckle had her grip on him not forced some of the air out of him. It was instead now an odd sound of exhalation when he spoke it. What a sudden, warm welcome from his acquaintance! "It's fantastic to see you too, Charlie!" he says after wiggling just a little to afford some room as he did his best to return the hug to her. "We'll probably be leaving soon at this rate. Hope you brought everything!"

@Galaxy's Silver Lining

Charlie seperated herself from Julius and nodded, reaching into her purse and pulling out her mini-tree she had purchased from the man. "I have appropriately named him Jules." She remarked, holding the small pot in one had and digging through her purse with the other. "I also brought a blanket, my canteen, my dagger, a couple potions.... The list goes on. You can always count on me to pack!" Charlie exclaimed, pushing the plant back into her satchel.

@CoreyXIX

Julius just listened while she rattled off her list of things she brought with her. Like she said, she could be counted on to pack. Her naming of her tree was still a humorous highlight to all this during her sequence, even if he expected her to have planted the tree or give it as a gift as opposed to keeping it with her (and apparently in such good condition too, he notes). "Very good!" he exclaimed. "I brought my home with me, so I'm just as ready equipment-wise as the rest of us!" he chuckles.

Snow: "I planned on getting on the ship, going somewhere far and the getting off." She said softly, shrugging as she leaned against him, yawning as well. When she was tired, Snow felt most vulnerable... and Shura made her feel safe. "I am bad at making friends... I still don't know how I made friends with you." She laughed a little and looked down at the ground, her eyes flashing red.
