What do you mean by communications? Like email or something? Typically teachers will announce things or fliers will pop up with information.

Your characters would have already been “assigned” a roommate prior to Day 1 or school. You can make one up or dorm with each other I don’t really mind either way.

Just make up some classes lol, the 21 year old would be a third or fourth year so lots of “advanced” and 300/400 level classes
