TV & Film What was the last movie you watched?

Rocky.

It's the greatest movie of all time. Don't bother disagreeing with me or trying to point out any of its flaws because you're already wrong.

Okay, I'm being intentionally vexatious for a chuckle. But it really is my favorite movie and I've gone back to it countless times whenever I've needed motivation to not just keep trudging, but to move forward with purpose. This sometimes leads to me watching all of the sequels, too, but none of them hit quite like that first movie.

It's been a hard year. The previous year wasn't all that great, either, but this one has re-defined my previous understanding of soul crushing.

But you didn't ask about all of that.

Oppenheimer it’s an interesting docu about the making and dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Though I recommend sitting down for this one as the movie tends to shift from past and present with details.

Ralph breaks the internet. I wanted to riff on the movie with my boyfriend, and we ended up having a good time with it.

I heard Morbius was really good, so I'm 5 minutes into it, if that counts. I hope it gets better.

Godzilla Minus One. Easily the best in the entire franchise to this point.

It's been such a long time since I last watched a movie... but I believe the last one I saw was Kung Fu Panda (again) sometime during November of 2023. But if you mean the last movie I watched for the first time, then that'd probably be the second Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which I saw sometime in late 2022 if I remember correctly. Nowadays video games and Youtube are my main sources of entertainment, I watch very few movies. But honestly I did really enjoy both movies overall.

IP MAN

It’s a true story about the man who trained Bruce Lee. This man lived through a war! Lost his wife to I think it was cancer? Saved his son from a gang! And above all else. He was a father. And died to throat cancer himself

Can you tell me how? I been wanting to watch it but a lot of people say it wasn’t the greatest
The acting for one was bad but the actors can only do so much with what they're given. No character development. No likable characters that made you actually want to root for them or a back story for them. The action is just as underwhelming as the so called story.

Killers of the Flower Moon- been a while since I’ve watched such a long move, but it was actually amazing, the cast was incredible and it didn’t ever feel like there was anything dragging on to make it 3 hours
