Fantasy Eventually Cooking Could Have Issues

That Lass Over There

Constant Panic
"Well."

The door to the bathroom - in haste, left unlocked - shut behind the girl that had mistakenly entered an occupied space. Brown eyes met shaking grey ones, and the lock was twisted into its proper place this time. The girl who had invaded the space, in all its awkward fury, dropped a light backpack on the ground and opened it up to reveal a pastel, yellow-colored dress. Absently with a blank face, as though she was hardly thinking about the current situation, she lifted the dress - decorated with frills and lace but mostly kept as a simple, long, one-piece - up to herself for her roommate to see before folding it up and sticking it back in her pack. In the process of folding it, she placed an until then unseen band of cloth, the symbol of a state-sanctioned magician, on top as if to show it off.

With a sweet smile cracking her until then absent expression, the girl remained standing in front of the door, an obstacle to the only escape route. "And here I thought I had met everyone in this fine establishment. Good evening, Miss. I do hope you'll pardon me, but I need to get changed - it seems quite the disturbing character may have shown up locally, you understand?"

"U-um..."

How the heck did things come to this?

No longer than ten minutes ago, she had excused herself to take a break from the heavy smoke and liquor of the club. Suddenly, the risqué evening dress she had been wearing had... evaporated, for lack of better vocabulary, replaced by what she could only describe as a horrific Chuunibyou BDSM costume she'd see in the red light district! Even worse: she had sprouted extra appendages! Why did she have a singular horn on her head that threw off her balance!? Why did she have wings that consciously flipped and flapped with her panic!? Why was her ears all pointy!? WHY DID SHE HAVE A TAIL!? Why; Why; Why; Why; WHY!?

She had thought that a quick retreat to the club's bathroom would let her catch a break, let her collect herself and figure out just what in the hell was going on. Maybe this was some sort of sick dream she was having, and she'd wake up!

So of course: she forgot to lock the door to the stall!

And now there she was: trapped in a locked bathroom stall, wearing something that looked straight out of a corny adult video, and with another girl who was standing way too close to be anything but uncomfortably intimate. Even worse: the blonde brushing chests with her was a magical girl; anyone with half a brain could recognize that!

It was times like those where Mochizuki Satori wanted to crawl into a hole and cringe herself into a singularity... or die. Maybe the girl close enough to swap spit with her could help with that?

The blonde's lips quirked up in a twisted grin of sorts before being smothered so fast that it left room to wonder if it was just the anxiety and awkwardness of the situation causing Satori to see things. Although she had stated her need to change into what was doubtless her costume, the apparent magical girl made no moves to do so - or movement out of the way for either of them to leave, for that matter - continuing this choking, heated standoff with gazes being traded all over between both parties.

The blonde's hand moved to her own chest, lingering for a moment in a questionable way before settling solidly over her heart. "Of course," The blonde's voice, sweet and sticky like honey, drawled out as the space between them seemed to close just a hair, but not enough to raise any more alarm bells than were currently blaring... If that were possible. "Where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself." The blonde's head tilted, her mouth coming close to the left of Satori - near her left ear, newly pointed and unprotected by a horn. "Shiratori Kinko. Kin, as in 'gold'... Or it could be 'gentle', for you." The breathy words lingered before leaving with the lips that spoke them.

The distance that had been closed widened, the warmth of another body fleeting. The blonde's - Kinko's - smile shifted ever so slightly to an odd, slightly unnatural looking frown as she looked over her roommate once more, gaze lingering only long enough to not draw vocal reprimand. "Ah, but this is difficult, isn't it? Miss, you don't need to worry about the disturbing character I mentioned, do you?" The girl's voice quivered with apparent worry as it continued, "I mean, you must be in such a difficult situation of your own right now... You're shaking so much~" For as well as Kinko had kept herself thus far, the playful bounce of her last words near fully gave away the game the magical girl had been playing here, and the mouse was no better positioned to escape the cat for it.

The cat's face brightened with a wide, toothy white smile that didn't reach her eyes in the dim lighting of the stall as she looked down at the poor little mouse. "Tell you what, why don't I help you out? Miss, it would be so sad to leave you like this... You look like you're in a lot of stress. It's my job to help people like you, you know -" Then, her expression fell, gaze slipping down before sliding away to the side, like a sad puppy. "Of course - if you don't want my help, then I suppose I should go and do my job, shouldn't I? There's someone who might cause trouble around here, after all... I need to catch them, too. Ah, my duties are conflicting, how difficult." The pout was audible in her words, but at least part of the act was up now, and the threat was evident as Kinko's foot nudged the backpack that contained her costume, even as her hands nervously fidgeted in front of her as she awaited a response.

If Kinko looked hard enough, she'd have been able to see Satori's blush glowing red from the amount of blood rushing through her face. Look even closer, and the wisp of steam coming out the top of her head could've been spotted too. Who could blame the shortstack beauty? If anyone were trapped with a hungry animal like Kinko, they wouldn't be faring much better than the violet-eyed college student.

Satori wasn't exactly blind to the fact that she was bisexual; being as beautiful as she was broadened her views aplenty when being romantically accosted by members of both sexes was a regular occurrence. Sadly, this was a fact biting her hard at a time she didn't want, because Kinko was pushing the right buttons. She could feel the husky warmth of the blonde lioness' breath tickling her sensitive ears in all the right ways, making her reflexively withdraw into herself as her arms protected what little modesty her new costume afforded. She was only making things worse for herself though. The scant black leather and latex only made her pale skin more eye-catching; the arms trying to cover up only drew more attention to the places Satori didn't want Kinko ogling.

Poor girl just couldn't stop digging her own grave...

The mouse trapped in the cage very much didn't enjoy the game she was unwillingly playing, the teasing and toying even less-so because both of them knew she couldn't do a damn thing to stop her tormentor. Her scantily-clad frame wouldn't stop shivering from the attention she was receiving; her withdrawn arms and averted gaze was all the more inviting despite her non-verbal pleas for mercy. Her prehensile heart-tipped tail had protectively curled around her legs, and she didn't seem aware that the adorable pair of bat wings sitting low on her back had closed up around her waist and hips.

"U-Um... I should... I-I should go..." Even her voice sounded so small, so alluringly defenseless. The conspicuous black leather of her thigh-boots creaking was the only other noise to accompany Satori's sharp, shuddering breaths as she slowly inched her way further into the stall. The only thing stopping her from becoming one with the marble-tiled wall was the toilet her shins were bumping into, dashing any hope of gaining more than a scant inch of personal space. "M-My colleagues are p-p-probably wondering where I am."

It was a paper-thin excuse, and both girls knew it...

"Ah, yes, your colleagues." Kinko made a soft tsk tsk noise as she looked to the side, at a watch on her wrist that looked a bit odd. "They're not coming, you know? They believe in trial by fire, and all that - very cruel, really. Oh, sorry - you meant the workers here, of course - whatever was I thinking? You couldn't be talking about anyone else, right~?" The blonde's fingers played with a strand of her own hair while her eyes went over Satori's incriminating getup once more, lips quirking up at the reaction she got.

"Miss, let me spare you a bit since you're such good fun." Kinko held out her hands open to her sides as much as the confined space allowed, almost like she was offering a hug. "How about you come with me? Under my protection, you wouldn't have to worry about being mistaken for a bad girl... We could even get you registered, eventually." Again, as the blonde shifted her position, her foot nudged the bag she had left on the ground in reminder, but more distractingly was Kinko leaning down, not only closing the height gap between the two but bringing their faces only a couple inches apart, brown eyes brushing over every detail of Satori's face before settling on her quivering lips.

"Well, whether you're a bad girl or a good girl, doesn't matter to me. I do also like it when they fight back, you know?" At some point, the hands she had held out had placed themselves on the stall walls to either side of Satori, further trapping the poor, confused mouse as she wore a grin. Her hair spilled over her shoulders as she leaned, concealing the gap in her collar that had been visible for a moment. "The feisty ones are so cute when they finally stop resisting. But you're a good girl, aren't you? You're not some dangerous, bad girl that I'll need to catch, right?" Those last words came as a teasingly soft whisper, the soft noise practically a shout in the tension of the situation. "If you're good, then we'll be on the same side... Won't you tell me your name, then?"

This was it: Mochizuki Satori was going to die.

The only things filling her vision were the deep chocolate brown of Kinko's own eyes, the same brown eyes that were likely undressing her as she trembled on the spot. Those were the eyes of a predator who liked to play with her food, and Satori's last moments of life was to be spent as her plaything. She was all out of places to retreat and melt into; any hope of crawling under the stall's walls to freedom were thoroughly dashed by the moment the blonde's arms trapped her against the toilet and back wall. She had no way out; she was already sitting as far back as the toilet seat would allow.

Anything Satori only deepened the hole she was in, drawing more and more attention to the erotic nature of her attire and what wasn't left to the imagination. The more time she spent cowering, the more she wanted to shrivel up until she ceased to exist.

"S-s-s-s-s... Satori..."

WHY WAS SHE GIVING HER NAME!?

"P-pp-p-please help me..."
Her voice had become so small and meek under Kinko's overwhelming presence and aura. "I-I don't know what h-happened to me! I got th-t-these... things! I d-don't know why!"

Soft, teasing smile turned to grin as the woman crumpled under the pressure she was put under, stumbling out a barely comprehensible set of syllables. "Hm, Satori~ A lovely name." That wasn't the end of the woman's stuttered speech, however, as the dam over her thoughts had burst open and an outburst came. Kinko didn't seem surprised in the slightest by this, though her eyebrows did knit together and her grin faded into a soft look, her teasing gaze focused on the face of her quarry for the moment.

"Miss, you haven't figured it out...?" A verbal answer wasn't needed to confirm the situation with how easily read Satori was, and the magical girl shook her head as she had a brief conflict between her duty and role, and the fun toy that had landed in her lap this occasion. The tug of war was fierce, but not very evident on the outside beyond her sudden shift to the more concerned look. It relaxed, though, as she softly spoke, "... Alright, since you've been such a good girl... It's only right you get what you ask for~" There was another playful twitch upwards at the corners of the magical girl's lips before she stood back, giving Satori much needed space to breathe for the first time in minutes without any trace of the predator that had been cornering her.

Kinko allowed Satori her moment of space before giving her the answers that the woman seemed to need. "You got chosen to be a Magician, and by the looks of things, not the kind normally on the side of the law." A hand held up stopped any interruption, still more to say before the next round of questions. "I'd like to say that things will be fine and you could just register yourself without worry, but honestly, there's quite a bit of prejudice in the system; this was telling me about you from the moment you got transformed." She tapped the odd-looking watch she had glanced at earlier, which now that it was being pointed out seemed to be lightly vibrating. "It's not entirely uncommon for false arrests to be made. I wasn't just playing with you, I seriously meant it when I was offering for you to stick by me. That way, nobody is going to mistakenly think you're on the unruly side, and I can keep my eye out for you."

While the tone was much more serious now than when she had been playing games, and there still seemed to be a hint of concern - especially when Kinko outright stated that she had been playing with the poor lady - a sigh couldn't help but escape Kinko's lips after the games were up. A decision she herself had made, but still an unfortunate loss.

The more the gravity of her situation became clear, the more lost and unsure Satori looked, to say nothing of the clear distress she had written across her face. Magician? Her? That was one of the last things she wanted to be. She already had her plate full with Art School and her dead-end jobs, and now she had Magical Sparky Villainess Bullshit to deal with on top of everything else!

Okay, no, time-out; Satori needed to get home and reset. She could deal with the boss complaining about her leaving work early; she need out of this place.

"Um... I-Is it okay if I um... I-Is it okay if I go c-change clothes first?"

All things considered, it was an absolute miracle that nobody was looking Satori's way as she crept out of the bathroom, an semi-amused Kinko in-tow. The "tip-tap" sounds of Hostesses in high heels were drowned out by peals of laughter, pouring alcohol, and the general chatter that naturally came with inebriated minds and gorgeous women. It was only a shame that Kinko couldn't get to take part in such merriment (she could definitely see one of her favorite hostesses chatting up an older gentleman near the corner of the club), but Satori had been strangely adamant that nobody see either of them.

Satori not wanting to be seen was at least understandable; only the most degenerate would dare walk openly in the same getup Satori was unfortunately wearing. Her attempts at stealth were at least admirable in that she always hid herself behind something before someone's gaze traveled in her general direction, but it was only a matter of time before somebody noticed her amidst the blacks, reds, and golds of the club's decor.

Stealth only worked so well when someone's costume demanded attention.

At least Kinko was getting entertainment at seeing a scantily-clad Magician defy all conventions of logic and sneak her way through the busiest parts of the club's lounge...

"Um... I-Is it okay if I um... I-Is it okay if I go c-change clothes first?"

"Hm? Sure."

There was a moment of silence, Kinko standing still in front of the stall door with her head cocked to the side like she expected something, before she stood aside and opened the door to the stall. There was a brief glance over the bathroom to see if anyone was present before the gave a thumbs-up to Satori, and she watched Satori not just come out of the stall but creep to and out of the bathroom door with an eyebrow cocked high before she finally moved to follow.

While Satori amusingly hid behind objects too small to hide all of her body and silently chanted to herself the magic spell of Stealth 100, her amused follower walked in the open just behind, splitting her time between glancing at the poorly hidden figure poking out in all sorts of ways from the silhouettes of pillars and counters to the few people who passed by them without an escort or hostess, waving at many and shooting a very maturely aimed stuck-out tongue at one man's back.

The difficulty of not chortling at the video game stealth section happening real time in front of her was immense, but after letting one peep of her amusement out and seeing the look she got in return, Kinko did her best to keep it to the occasional twitch of the lips whenever she saw some portion or another of Satori's body sticking out from her hiding spots. At the very least, she performed adequately as an additional obstacle for the Big Boss to use, standing in places to contribute as much cover as she could for Satori when the lady was at actual risk of being spotted. She noticeably did so even more when the passerby was a customer without a hostess for company, or a pair heading to the back of the establishment. She also didn't speak to Satori, what would be a sure way to give the sham of hiding away.

While the game was amusing, the half-smile on Kinko's lips did fade over time and her glances in Satori's direction lessened, focus shifting fully to the escort mission at hand. Definitely, the worst mission type, but at least this one came with some perks. Unfortunately, just like any other escort mission, it was now beyond her power to simply ask if she could just fetch a coat or something for her to make this easier.

"We're here, the staff room."

With far too much familiarity, Kinko opened the door, peeking her head inside before further opening it for Satori. "Saki's gone, I guess... Seriously, y'all really needa get a lock for this thing, your boss's wallet be damned." Kinko held her hand out, gesturing for Satori to make her way inside with the mannerisms of a gentleman in the movies. "Go on, it's empty. I'll be out here if you need anything."

Like a mouse doing it's best, Satori scurried in through the door the moment Kinko had given her the all-clear. She had to thank Kinko later somehow once she was back in more decent clothing; the Magician had been a big help to her getting to the Staff Room in one piece (although, this was the same Kinko who had been The Succubus(?) wasted no time in rushing to the little wall of cubbyholes and lockers, almost throwing open the door to her own!

Satori closed the door to her personal locker, then opened it again.

...

That wasn't right; this was her locker, and she was damn sure that she brought a bag with her when she came in that evening. Satori closed the locker door again to check the name written on it's front face. Nope; the tag was still handwritten as "Mochizuki Satori", so unless the Club hired another girl with the same name and same handwriting as her, that was her locker.

SO WHERE WAS HER BAG CONTAINING HER CLOTHES!?

Maybe I misplaced it in one of the other girls' lockers? That was impossible, and a quick look in Miko's and Koishi's lockers next to hers told her that she didn't throw her bag in someone else's locker.

Maybe it's in one of the cubbyholes? A glance towards the empty cubical organizer told her everything she needed.

Did someone prank me and put my bag somewhere? Why would anyone do that? Most of the Club's Hostesses knew that she didn't handle pranks well, and half of them wouldn't dare risk having their "Lap Pillow Privileges" revoked if she threatened it.

Satori had begun looking everywhere in the room in a panic-induced haste. Under tables, behind couches, in cupboards; nothing turned up her bag containing her clothes. The panic was beginning to set in, and a panicking Satori (as many in the Club would attest to) was a Satori who was prone to doing "interesting" things. She began resorting to increasingly insane acts to find her bag, whether it be opening and thoroughly checking each girl's locker to see if she had put it there for some Godforsaken reason (and finding a few... "things" Satori wished she didn't), lifting couch cushions to see if her bag defied logic and was underneath, looking through the fridge, crawling into cupboards to check if it had been put in it's darkest corners.

Satori was on the verge of breaking down. She had practically turned the entire room inside-out to find her bag, and it was nowhere to be found! The only conclusion she could draw was that someone took it and put it somewhere else in the Club... Which meant going back out there... in her "costume"...

"...I'll be out here if you need anything."

"U-Um..."

The creak of the Staff Room's door was the only sound that alerted Kinko to Satori, who at that moment was only a panicking violet eye (the other was still under that goofy eyepatch), white hair, and a horn.

"I-I can't find my bag or my clothes..."

"I-I can't find my bag or my clothes..."
In all the time that it took Satori to tear apart the Staff Room and have a coinciding mental breakdown, the girl standing watch outside the door had not budged an inch, though her expression did twitch between an amused upturn of her lips and an appalled flick of her eyebrows with every progressively frantic sound from inside the room. Kinko stared for a moment at Satori with a blank look, like she was still processing what she had been told, before holding a hand to her head. "Ah... I should have known..." The last part was spoken to herself, though she didn't speak so quietly that Satori couldn't have heard with a little effort. "Alright."

From leaning a bit against the door frame Kinko stood up, pointing back into the Staff Room. "Stay here, I'm gonna go grab my coat. It'll be something for you, at least." After walking forward a few steps she turned to look back, "Everything's going to be fine. I've got a few ideas, so don't worry. I'll be right back."

With a turn of her heels Kinko resumed walking away, leaving Satori unsupervised for the few minutes it would take her to reach the lockers for customers.

While she made the short walk she pulled a phone from the backpack she had been carrying around in one hand till now, clicking on one of several notifications to quickly reply. 'No mobilization needed for 18-281. And yes, I was at this establishment before the alert appeared - Come on, Moka, we have 24/7 location data shared between us. Are you really that surprised?' Ignoring the tide of responses she received, she kept her phone on mute and put it back, instead fishing for a key to plug into the lock just a few long steps before her. With a twist her long coat and purse were revealed, a sigh of relief escaping her lips as she wondered if the former had possibly managed to be majicked away alongside Satori's clothes, the Goddess's mischief sometimes a little too thorough - thankfully, though, that seemed to not be the case. Or, perhaps, the amusement had already been had.

On her way back, she grabbed one of the women she recognized, coat folded over her right arm. "Chiaki. Could you tell the boss that Satori's clocking out for the day?" Her voice was a bit monotone, but the woman didn't seem thrown off a single bit.

"Satori? Sure... Wait, Kinko. Satori? What did you-?!"

Kinko shushed the hostess with a finger to the lips, eyes narrowed. "What, so she's not available? Shame. Don't worry, I'm just going to escort her home, it's become a rough night for her and anything more is hers to say." She separated from the woman, taking a few steps away and waiting for her to start moving off before commenting to her back, "I'm hurt you thought that about me, but I just wish your boss would take a page out of your book." Satisfied with saying what she wanted, she turned and left herself, knocking on the Staff Room door a minute later. "Miss Satori? I grabbed the coat for you."

The door slowly opened a crack of light to reveal... Satori's eye-patch first, awkwardly staring at nothing in particular before the busty Succubus realized her mistake and revealed her other eye instead. "Y-You're here! T-t-thank you!" The sheer relief in her violet eye was palpable for Kinko, and after hastily taking the offered coat, Satori closed the door and gleefully began put-

... Oh.

Thus came first of many problems that Satori and Kinko didn't foresee: Satori couldn't actually put on the coat with her costume. Just thinking about how she was going to get her grossly oversized cuffs/bracelets through the coat's arms without tearing new holes was going to be an insurmountable task, and what about the spikes on her shoulders!? She couldn't fully put on the coat without poking even more holes!

Maybe she could... But that would mean...

...

octopus scariest shit ever GIF

Yeah she wasn't doing that if she could help it. But could she? She didn't see any other way she could put on the coat otherwise! Satori just about fried every braincell in her head thinking of any other possible solution to the problem she had, but no matter which way or angle she tried to tackle it, she couldn't see any solution that could work... Except for that solution...

"....Gh...Huuuuuuuuuu...."

... Looking down at the leather buckles on her "sleeves" responsible for preserving what little modesty she had, Satori miserably sighed to herself, and reached up with a hand to undo one of them...

When the door finally opened with an audible click once again, a brightly-blushing Satori hesitated as she cracked the door wide enough for Kinko to see the fruits of her labour: a Satori without her horn, wings, and tail, desperately trying to cross her arms and cover Kinko's coat over her chest... Her bare chest. It was no surprise that said coat couldn't have possibly fitted Satori and her... unique physique, but the poor girl was now in a more modest state... as long you ignored how she was two arms away from being very much not so.

The way she tried to hide herself with her crossed arms only further ignited the more intrusive and colorful thoughts in the back of Kinko's head, but it's not like she would act on them... right?

There was a certain fascination held for the physics (or lack thereof?) at play in this unfortunately comedic situation that prevented Kinko from fully resisting the urge to stare. Exercise her polite energies as she might, the sheer impossibility of what was on display deserved admiration of its own, and admire she most certainly did.

"... Ah. I didn't think..." Kinko's lips started to form words, but she shook her head and finally shook her eyes off to somewhere else with the movement, pushing Satori back into the Staff Room so that she wouldn't be blocking the door for Kinko to enter and shutting the door behind them.

"Plan C, I guess." The girl made her way to the back of the room, dropping the backpack next to her and getting to work with the plan.

Satori's face immediately had a button-up shirt covering it smelling distinctly of pears, a teasing quip of 'Unless you want to see~' accompanying the well-aimed piece of fabric. The rustling went on for a few moments, but immediately after the sound of the zipper on the backpack all movement ceased.

"... Actually, sorry. I'm running ahead on my own. Miss?" The tone was that of a child who had realized they made a mistake again, pure and sincere. There was the soft plodding of bare feet on the thin carpet, and just under where the shirt blocked Satori's vision she could see a small portion of legs that had been covered by long black slacks until now. "I've got a few ideas how we could handle this... If you'd give your opinion."

Without shoes, the girl seemed to bounce around on her feet, the little sliver of vision Satori had left being filled with nervous movement. "First idea, I walk in front of you... Not very good if you live far away. Second idea, if I get changed I can use my power to try and keep you invisible, but you'd have to dodge people who can't see you and it might be difficult to keep up if you're not close enough..." The girl's voice, trailing off a bit with whatever realization she had had, was an interesting contrast to the confident and commanding attitude that Kinko had given off until now.

"Of course, I could call a taxi, but we still need to worry about getting you in and out..."

"Huh? Wh- MRRP!" The texture of Kinko's linen shirt was certainly something Satori hadn't been expecting, let alone being smushed with as her vision became enshrouded from the rest of her known world. She almost reflexively shot one arm up to pull the shirt down, but the instant she saw Kinko undressing...

"Gh! H-H-HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

... she quickly decided that not seeing anything was the preferrable option. On another note: that had to have been the quietest scream someone could've pulled off, though Satori having her face buried in Kinko's shirt likely had something to do with that...

The fact that she was no longer alone in being half-naked did little to settle her frayed nerves; the rustling sounds of someone undressing also did no favors to Satori's sanity. The forbidden awareness that she was alone in a room with a similarly-naked woman only worsened her already erratic heartbeat into bordering a full cardiac arrest. Whoever was laughing at her from above would rue the day she set off this hellish sequence of events!

"U-Um..."

If Satori had her way, she wouldn't even be in her mess in the first place. Alas, Fate was being a cruel bitch to the Art Student, and she only saw several bad ideas that were bound to end poorly for everyone involved. At least Satori had a silver lining...

"M-My apartment is only a f-f-f-few minutes from here, s-s-so..."

"M-My apartment is only a f-f-f-few minutes from here, s-s-so..."
"So, no taxi then? Okay."

There was an extended pause as both parties said nothing, an unexpected standstill where Kinko had just wanted to hear the opinion of the person who was getting tossed up in this mess. Sympathy or not, the lack of proper response was frustrating, so Kinko plodded off and away back to her backpack and started thinking aloud to herself in case Satori changed her mind about not having any thoughts. "Alright, so... Honestly, I've never tried to turn anyone else invisible before." The sound of a zipper could be heard, and then the rustling of cloth as Kinko started to change into something.

"Now that I think about it, it'd be pretty bad if you're relying on it to go unseen and then it just stops working, or there's some complication like you not being able to see. Let's just keep it simple."

A few seconds later and Kinko snatched her shirt off of Satori's face without a care, working her arms into the sleeves in one quick motion and fumbling with the buttons - a step she seemed to struggle with as her fingers kept missing the little things - covering herself back up. She went back to pick up her backpack and stood in front of the door to the room, looking back to Satori who was standing there with a stupendously flushed face for some reason or another.

"Well, come on, stick close. And make sure to give directions, because I have no idea where we're going." Kinko, unperturbed, called back to the lady she was trying to escort home.

There were so many things Satori wished she could unsee over her agonizing school years, and so many more events she wished she could un-experience as a Hostess and Waitress... Seeing a practically nude Kinko was one of those rare sights Satori wasn't sure if she wanted to un-see, not that it stopped the heat from glowing her cheeks a brighter red than before. She was already mortified with her own state of undress; she didn't need more strain on her poor heart!

"O-Oh! Uh... A-alright!"

As it turned out, the walk from the slightly shady Hostess club had been devoid of people for the entire trip. Kinko, helpfully pointed the right way by Satori, led the two of them down empty streets and side-paths until the lights of the red light district became the sleepy sights of an out-of-the-way neighborhood close to the heart of the city. It was pleasant just being able to trade the towering skyscrapers and business offices with more homely shops and apartment buildings...

... ignoring the very pleasant sensation of Satori's breasts pressed up against Kinko's back.

"I-it's the third b-building on t-the left. The t-t-tall ap-partment..." The timid finger Satori raised obviously went unnoticed by Kinko by simple virtue of being behind, but for the most part, the woman had been unambiguous with her directions, with only a few hiccups of making a few turns a corner too early or too late that were quickly corrected. In fact, the only thing of note-

Irritation comes in many forms, and this... may be one of Kinko's least favorite.

At first, it had been fun - Kinko had about as much bounce in her step as the feeling on her back, and Satori was a fun person to mess with be around. Expressive, nervous, and very out of her element; everything got a fun reaction whether it was Kinko suddenly stopping in place to ask for directions causing them to bump into each other or her purposefully trying to take a wrong turn, followed by light laughter after she was corrected.

But, well, just like watching Satori's self-imposed stealth mission, she quickly got bored of the inefficiency being pressed so close together when she realized that there was nobody around for them to run into. She knew if they separated there'd be someone - that was just the nature of these things - but it was still frustrating. And then, the feeling on her back... Surely, she'd been on the internet enough to know people would kill to be in this situation, but...

Yeah. This is definitely annoying; no doubt about it. She was already agitated with what was supposed to be a night with Saki getting interrupted, and now she was having to put up with a sensation on her back that was frustrating in so many ways.

Ah, it'd be fun if they knew each other better, or if she knew there was something at the end of this, but even her little pranks she had been pulling so far she felt a little bad for since she didn't know the woman's boundaries. Not just that, but the scolding she had received from Chiaki was fresh in her mind, and that had given her the very clear idea that she shouldn't expect anything more than perhaps a pleasant 'thank you'. That wouldn't normally be bad, but... haaaaah.

"That one?" Kinko, who had stopped her teasing wrong turns after the second instance, pointed to the apartment building for confirmation, stepping toward it when she felt the meek nod of confirmation against her back. Perhaps due to the time of day, or simply the 'luck' that had been with them throughout this journey, they didn't run into anybody stepping into the apartment building and walking back to the elevator.

"What's the floor and room?"

Kinko continued her escort duty all the way to Satori's door, only stepping away when she had to... Unlock the door... "... You wouldn't happen to have hidden a key under the mat?" Satori didn't even have the opportunity to answer before the blonde was lifting the mat with her foot, frowning at the distinct lack of a spare key. "Nevermind." Without another word, Kinko pulled Satori to the side with one hand, other pulling a small kit out of her pocket.

'Remember kids, don't try this at home...' She mockingly spoke as she fiddled with the lock, only taking a few moments before she pushed the door open and stood up. She gestured for Satori to head in, and like it was natural, followed her into the apartment before closing and locking the door behind them. Kinko, for her part, immediately went to the closest seat of any kind and collapsed in it like a puppet with its strings cut.

For someone who lived in a quiet, slightly run-down part of the city, Mochizuki Satori made the best of her tiny abode. What should've been a messy hellscape of manga, clothes, and half-finished manga sketches was instead a pristine and quaint little apartment that greeted Kinko. Indeed, the startling array of posters, dolls, and manga neatly shelved away and dust-free was a testament to the tired Art Student, who had timidly closed the door behind her as the Magician made herself at home...

It was honestly amazing how Satori made a welcoming home in such a seedy place, but as Kinko sunk herself into Satori's only bed, the tenant had quickly ducked herself into the adjacent bathroom, no doubt to change out of her amazingly erotic clothing. The apartment didn't seem like it matched someone who would work in a shady hostess club, and as Satori returned wearing an oversized sweater overtop a t-shirt and shorts. Her lack of horns, wings, and tail left the violet-eyed girl looking much more modest (and daresay, cute) for her age and short stature.

"Um... W-Would you like some tea?"

... but some things never changed, such as the fact that Satori had what amounted to a stranger in her room...

"Ah, I'm fine, thanks..." Kinko lifted her arm and waved her hand in dismissal, murmuring a thanks for the polite offer.

In the minute that Satori had taken to change in the bathroom, the girl had switched from sitting normal if lazily to laying on the bed with her legs up against the wall, slacks drooping a little on her legs from gravity. With a small yawn and half-lidded eyes, yet another disparate side of the blonde was on display in this single night - it wasn't hard to imagine how much cuter she might look if she had animal ears twitching atop her head.

"I like juice, but it's fine if you don't have it... I'll just go to the store tomorrow..." While she didn't seem entirely tired, per se, it was hard to ignore the blinking red light above the blonde's fuel gauge. Likely exhausted from the long and tedious task of escorting Satori here, or something along those lines. "With the entire magician thing... Do ya wanna talk about it now? Or sleep on it? I get it's probably been a long night for ya." Kinko looked at Satori from her upside down perspective with a sloppy smile not helped at all by her odd pose, trying to be some comfort for the woman's frazzled nerves.

"Ah... O-Ok..."

Ducking back into her nonexistent kitchen for a brief spell, Satori rummaged through her minifridge of admittedly few things, frowning to herself when she saw the lack of groceries inside. She would have to go shopping again on the weekend with what savings she managed to accrue; hopefully there were still enough items on sale in the market to get by for the next week or two. Luckily, Satori still had a few unopened cans of juice. Sadly Satori hadn't much variety or quantity in choice, but Kinko didn't specify if she liked any particular juice; Satori grabbed two and returned...

... to see the human equivalent of a stray cat lounging on her made bed. The art student could easily imagine a set of ears and a curling tail on the blonde girl making herself at home, and the image oddly suited her lackadaisical and casual attitude. Not hard to though; the young woman clearly demonstrated that she was a Magician, and Satori didn't doubt that she could easily do whatever she want and get away with it with some measure of reason. All Magicians that showed up on the news were like that, easily forgiven and even cheered despite causing enough lasting property and infrastructure damage doing... whatever it was they did...

"Um... Here; I only have Mikan or Melon juice, so I brought both." The uneasy way Satori's hands shuddered as she set down two distinct, but small and unopened cans of juice still showed her trepidation around the girl who had been just shy of sexually assaulting her back in the Hostess Club...

"Um... So... The Magicians? You said you wanted to talk about them?"

"Um... So... The Magicians? You said you wanted to talk about them?"

Kinko watched the cans' journey to the table with idle interest, eyes closing with the sound of metal hitting wood. A low hum sounded as the blonde was thinking, only stopping after Satori asked about what she had mentioned earlier. "Right..." The girl sounded a bit reluctant as she spun herself right side up in one smooth motion. She spent a moment tracing the lip of the Mikan juice can before looking to Satori with hands back in her lap, and promptly lowering her head.

"First, an apology. I got carried away playing while you were unaware of what was going on, and caused you undue stress... I'm really sorry. It was inappropriate." With the serious atmosphere and heavy delivery of the words, it was hard to not get swept up in the momentum of the sudden apology.

Kinko lifted her head and put on a lighter expression with a gentle smile before following up, "One of the girls told me afterwards that you're a 'no-touch', so I won't do anything you're uncomfortable with... Ah, but I can be a little thick-headed, so please be clear if I'm doing something wrong." For emphasis, she knocked on her head, sticking out her tongue for comedic effect before going back to the somewhat lazy atmosphere she had before, taking the can of Mikan juice in her hand.

With a hiss, crack, and pop, the can was open and Kinko took a sip from it. "Mm. Now, Magician stuff, right... Well, I said it before, but your transformation was you being 'chosen' or 'becoming' a magician, whichever you prefer." Now, her tone was lackadaisical as might've been expected from someone so free-spirited. She leaned back a bit, swirling the can and taking another sip before continuing.

"Your costume marks you as... Nothing, honestly, but there's quite a bit of bias against Magicians who look like an anime villain. I mean, I'd be lying if I said that wasn't part of why I approached you so aggressively. The big issue is that due to that, getting you approved would be difficult at best, and approval is kinda important because you're not legally allowed to transform and use magic otherwise." As she spoke about the unfortunate circumstances around the system, Kinko shook her head with an exasperated look that told a bit of what she thought about the current set up.

"O-oh... Er, apology accepted?" Truth be told, Satori still hadn't been fully convinced that the cat in her room was being genuine with her apology; Kinko looked like she had way too much fun back in the bathroom to be completely absolved to the tired Hostess, but Satori was not in a position to really refuse. Kinko was the Magician in the room, and while she came damn close, she at least didn't follow up on her torment...

Still, as Satori pulled the small office chair over for her to sit on, she sent a mental prayer of thanks towards her coworkers in the Club. Seedy as that place and its boss was, most of the girls there were absolute angels to be around... besides how they mark her off as a walking "no-touchies zone". Chiaki in particular was always the one who'd throw the biggest fuss whenever the Hostess Club's "Team Mom" was being solicited by drunken patrons; girl was sweet and all, but Satori could do with seeing less men eating the dirt whenever they got funny ideas...

With a hiss, crack, and pop, the can was open and Kinko took a sip from it. "Mm. Now, Magician stuff, right... As she spoke about the unfortunate circumstances around the system, Kinko shook her head with an exasperated look that told a bit of what she thought about the current set up.

Satori would never claim to be the most familiar when it came to Magicians and what they got up to in society; the most exposure she had ever gotten was the casual news feeds she'd see on the internet whenever a Magician saved a city or did some bonker stunt that would send the world into a frenzy for all of about a week. Hearing tidbits of what Magicians went though straight from the mouth of one was not something she thought she'd ever experience (let alone want to), and already she decided that she wanted out.

"So... Erm; is there any way to... y'know, be 'un-chosen' and go back to normal?" She had to ask before she could ask anything else. If what Kinko did to her when she had that... "outfit" on was anything to go by, then Satori was as uninterested in being a Magician as anybody possibly could. After all: she never asked to be a Magician, let alone one who looked like they came out of a hentai series!

"It's just! Ehm... I'm already busy and don't want more stuff on my plate?"

"O-oh... Er, apology accepted?" The girl shifted uncomfortably with Satori's uncertain tone, her smile faltering, but in situations like these there was little to do except continue on.

"No." While Kinko looked slightly surprised by the first question to come out of Satori's mouth, her response was immediate. "I haven't even spoken about the downsides, really, and you're wanting out. Are you not at all interested? It's Magic, you know? The work of fiction until these last few years. The ability to do whatever you can imagine." She looked at Satori with curiosity, as though she was seeing a rare animal. The thought of someone not even a little intrigued by the prospect of a power that would let them do anything they could think to apply it to was... Well, not something she had ever expected to see in reality.

Satori's reasoning she gave was odd, too. Why would her being busy matter for becoming a Magician? Certainly, it may be a lot of stress to have such a development out of the blue and so the specific comment of not wanting more stuff on her plate made sense, but there was no reason why the woman being busy already should block her from interacting with this new side of herself.

Kinko's confusion was only evident for a second, though, before she brushed it aside to continue answering the real question at hand. "Well, anyway… No, there's no 'out'. And it is unfortunate, because it's not a perfect deal - not at all helped by the rushed and poorly devised policies around it all." The 'downsides' that she hadn't mentioned yet, of course. And much of the reason she had wanted to discuss with Satori.

"The biggest issue you're going to run into, since you'll struggle to get registered, is that Magic is like... An addiction, I guess. You can tough it out for a little bit, but it just keeps building up and up... Until eventually, you're transformed in the middle of the street, doing at best minor vandalism and at worst..." Kinko frowned deeply as she trailed off looking somewhere distant, before shaking off whatever ghost was hanging over her. "Well, you get the idea. You don't want to bottle it up or it gets nasty. And that's an issue, because you're not legally allowed to use Magic without being registered."

Already Satori was just as confused by Kinko when it came to the question of "leaving", especially after being confused by her explanation (which the Art Student thought was a perfectly reasonable and clear-cut one) when she immediately gave herself a reason to realise why someone like Satori wouldn't be enthused about becoming a Magician. Regardless, Satori visibly deflated when she heard that there was essentially no takebacks for Magicians; that meant that the night she unwillingly had her cocktail dress (which she already disliked for its risqué appearance, mind) swapped for magical bondage straps in a blink was irreversible, and she had to live with it from now on...
