"Frank, I don't think he'll listen, but I have a plan, I just need him close enough to push his Astral Form out of his physical body without getting my head ripped off of course"

The beast roared as it loomed over Kain. It's filthy saliva filled mouth dripping onto him. As it goes in for the kill, it is then sent flying by Todd. It stands and roars at the bunch, as it's wings heal back into place. It then lifts up it's tongue, reveling dirt it had picked up, and it spits a glob of it right at Kain, in an attempt to blind him and foil his plan.

Kain used the Tao Mandalas and immediately conjured a single barrier in front of him, blocking the glob of saliva.

"I guess I was terribly wrong, he does understand English, don't let him get away!"

"I've got you!" Frank threw the serum, using his portal gun to make sure it hit him, the serum made contact with man-bat-man and it took effect

HUNK raised his weapon at the black slime creature. “What the hell...” He then heard quiet footsteps approaching from behind; someone was trying to be sneaky. He swung around to the knight’s side to cover him and was greeted with two pistols pointed back at him.

Aeon wasn’t far behind. She rushed in with her machine pistol drawn. Lara heard the spy enter and divided her attention—and her aim—between the two agents. Aeon fired a single shot. The pistol was knocked out of Lara’s hand. She dove to the side and brought the other one around, but Aeon had already closed the gap. One quick flurry of swipes left the two women sans their firearms.

“Aeon...?” HUNK muttered audibly.

Aeon backed up for a moment, reporting to HQ, “I have visual contact. HUNK is here with the Knight, but we’ve got a hostile. I’m engaging her.”

Lucia was unnerved by the sight. It wasn’t Sonic at all... Playing along, the devil hunter sheathed one blade. It looked as though she was about to put away the other, when suddenly, she whipped a throwing dagger at the impostor. “Who are you, really?”

Leo intercepted the dirt-spit with his shield. “If you’re going to do something, do it fast,” he urged the lot trying to persuade the mutant. Truly, he hoped this would work; he didn’t want to kill what could be saved. He prepared for the coming assault by switching his usual sword for the Flame Sword, a perfect deterrent.

The knight slowly backed away. "Ally?" The knight said, watching Aeon run off to attack Lara. As that happened, the black slime seemed to crawl onto the Knights arm. The Knight looked at it, it looked as if it was trying to get into his armor, touching every part of his arm in a failed attempt to get inside. It then slid off of him, and slipped up to Aeon's leg, wrapping around it, feeling her leg up to the thigh...only to lose interest, for her biology didn't match, and it slipped away into the a containment room, with a door leading to somewhere else.

Cugai and Fugai watched from the monitors, eyes widening. "Is that...Lara Croft?" Fugai asked. "What's she doing here?"

"Aeon, wait." Cugai spoke. "Don't attack her, we need to explain ourselves. If she tells us why she's here, we can use that....Also, we waste time with her we lose the target."

The dagger flies past "Sonic", cutting the side of it's face, showing a bit of what looked like an anthropodic exoskeleton. "Me? I'm Sonic The Hedgehog! The fastest thing alive, and no way ATE the real one and is currently wearing his skin as a disguise to fool you, hahahahaha."

Within the darkness at the furthest part of the hallway, the sound of loud thumping could be heard. Something else was here...and it was big....

Marina's laptop made an alarming sound, something was indeed there, and from what she can see it wasn't who they were looking for. "Hey...Storm, I think I can see Go-......Oh no!"

From the sky, with ripped up gi, and an angry glare, a familiar face had made his way into the battlefield once more. "Well, look at this. You guys keep SWARMING these places like flies!!"

Man-Batman screeches as it backs away from Leo. It had ripped itself apart too many times to really face them all at once at the moment. It opens it's newly healed wings, and launches itself into the sky, before throwing another round of baterangs at the lot once more. It then flies away, grabbing the serum jar as it fell above him, and tosses it away, flying off.

Frank used the portal gun to get the serum into his hands again and shoots man-bat-man with a freeze ray, making the creature fall before he could get too far, dodging the batarang thrown at him and shooting the other batarangs with a ray gun

"Oh no dont!"

Kain conjured an Eldritch Whip one more time as it extended far to reach Man-Bat in the air, giving it a hard pull, it caused Man-Bat to come back flying fast but Kain wasn't done yet. As Man-Bat was flying back to him from the pull, he slammed his palm against Man Bat's chest when he got close to him and pushed its Astral Form out of its body


"Guys it didn't work, I'm giving you your last chance before we kill it, I'll stall time in the Astral Plane, just hurry"

Projecting his Astral form as well, he was met with the Astral form of Man-Bat. He had to be careful because Kain can die in his Astral Form if he wasn't careful, Man Bat was very capable of killing him in this plane. In the physical world, his body lumped as if it was dead with his Cloak of Levitation slowly resting his body on the floor.

Spoiler: Brief Explanation of the Astral Plane

The Astral Plane is an alternate dimension in an equivalent space to our own, where all matter is composed of ectoplasm. On the astral plane, the life energies and consciousnesses of other beings are discernible to adepts. Adepts can reach the astral plane by psionic or magical means. Powerful psychics and sorcerers astral project their "Spirit or astral body" into the realm allowing them to manipulate the astral plane e.g. turning their arms into weapons or growing in height.

Time relative to the Material Plane is slowed down to a crawl when one enters the Astral Dimension. Master Sorcerers are also able to peer into the Astral Dimension without leaving their bodies. It is also demonstrated that sorcerers can learn to make their astral forms perceivable in the material world, as well as interact with it. Sorcerers have limited effect on the Material Plane while in the Astral Dimension, as during their Duel on the Astral Plane, Mordo and Kain were able to cause equipment to move around and lights to burst. Due to the astral form being energy, if a sorcerer's body is exposed to high amounts of energy, such as electricity, their astral form becomes charged to the point that Strange was able to kill Aster by overloading his astral form after Palmer used a defibrillator on him.

One can simultaneously rest their bodies and perform other tasks using the Astral Dimension, as Doctor Strange was shown to be sleeping while studying a book in his astral form. Also, like the Mirror Dimension, the Astral Dimension is accessible without the use of the Sling Ring or teleportation methods, as it occupies the same space as the real world while still being imperceptible

Man-Batman growled and thrashed within the plane, its mind having been damaged by what it's been through. Then, in a sudden form of a miracle, it speaks. "Euuaaaaaaaarrrrrg..Abandoned! EUAAAAAAAAAAAA!" It looks at Kain. "Selenaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" It seemed to grow angry, moving to look at the sorcerer. "You...YOU DID THIS TO ME!"

It lets a loud screech, ramming it's claws into it's chest, as if it was experiencing a heart attack. "No second chance." It spoke once again, looking at Kain once again. "I...will...."

"I hope kains doing well" said Kevin "because Im pretty sure man-bat-man can still be a hero"

The serum was working to reverse the man-bat serums effects, well that was Frank's intent with the serum, it wasnt certain if it would actually work or not

Kain look in awe and fright as he saw Man-Bat actually talk and show emotions, he started to feel pity for the creature.

"No, we're trying to help you, please....don't do this"

Kain's voice began to crack, he looked at Man Bats astral and saw how broken his mind and soul were, he couldn't do anything lest he wants the problem to be even worse than before. Whatever happens here will affect his soul and mind in the long run, best to not do anything at all but stall. Because if whatever Frank did, doesnt work, he didnt know what he'll do

Just as quickly as they'd fanned out, the first 'blip' revealed itself to be a blur. A fast one at that. Instantly, all four guns were drawn onto the cobalt-colored Hedgehog, and they didn't recall Command dispatching him on the op. Perhaps the thing that called himself Sonic was present, but this wasn't it. This was something else. The sudden deployment of a tactical knife drew the team's undivided attention to the 'wound', and not only a second later into the imitation's explanation, Hailey raised her SOCOM Magnum and fired off three successive shots at its torso inching up to the head in a quick 'Mozambeque'-style execution. Surely the "fastest thing alive" couldn't outrun a 12.7mm x 40mm Semi-Armor-Piercing, High-Penetration round; not to mention three of them at once. At best, it'd be dead. At modest, it'd be wounded. At worst? Keep firing.

The ominous thudding in the farthest section of the mall relative to their position placed the rest of the team on high alert, with Jack, Felix, and Ellie all momentarily shifting their positions to ensure that the imitating ally didn't attempt to leave their line of sight while also keeping tabs on the location of the noise. Not a single word was said between the Spartans; preferring to not waste time in a pointless conversation.

"Sonic" didn't move too fast, but being shot by the first bullet did knock him back, falling into the debris. He crawls back out, the inner mouth more present, his chest leaking a thick, yellow fluid. The creature began to come into the light, large gloved hands smacking the ground as it approached. It was yet another Sonic, except it was huge, it's body the size of a truck. It had long limbs, it's joints pointing to the sky like an insects. It's irises looked like it was made of a glassy substance, the eyes themselves looked metallic in nature, even moved in a robotic nature. It's large smiling mouth showing what looked like sharpened teeth made of some kind of hardened plastic.


"Aw, don't be that way." "Sonic" said. "We were just having a nice convo, and you had to be a prick and ruin it."


The bigger Sonic looks around at the lot, it looks excited. "OOOOOOOO! Did we get new playmates!? I've been waiting for more to come around!!!"

"Woah there, slugger." "Sonic" said. "We can't play yet, says me, Sonic The Hedgehog. We gotta get some lunch fist." Drool was practically spilling out of the things mouth. The bigger Sonic drooling too.

"Yeah! I'm starvin! Hey, you guys! How about a quick game of tag?! I'M IT!!!" The big Sonic charges at the bunch with incredible speed, lifting his arm up, and slamming it right in the middle of the group to spread them out. "Sonic" took this opportunity to slip away, using access skin from his disguise to hide the bleeding as he awaits his attack.

With that, Man-Batman flew into the "sky" flying right back down into his body. Within the real world, Man-Batman shot back up, screaming once more. With his body restored, he darts away from the lot, wanting to get away, flying with incredible speed, before stopping into the deepest part of the woods, it thrashed around like it was swarming with flies, slashing around like mad.
