I'm studying history myself. And before I forget! I'm going to start working on the lore for the religion in this setting. As mentioned, the primary faith is the Church of the Six Faces, or Hexanism. The gist is that it's very similar to Christianity in terms of structure and beliefs, focusing on the worship of the One, the one true God with six aspects, or "faces." I'll get up a lore page and put it there in a bit!

Ooooo! That could be a dragon. Maybe a dracolich? (Basically a dragon that becomes a lich, because living forever just isn't enough!)

I like that idea, what if we have some beings that are kinda scattered around the world, that are similar to the Dracolich, like ancient beings or somethin?

From what little I know, King Darius has been waging a pretty cruel and unjust war against the orcs for the entirety of his reign, a war he inherited from Queen Mabynn's father. In the past few years, he's upped the violence, currently fighting three wars at once. Queen Mabynn and the rebellion offer hope of peace for the orcs. She's interested in ending the violence, forging friendships, and revitalizing trade. So it makes sense that the Orcish tribes would favor her, slightly.

I'm working on the orcs! They have a mixture of Mongolian and Norse culture, focusing heavily on honor, strength, with a strong steppe nomad culture. A King must prove their strength to rule, and most disputes are settled by fighting. In fact, executions are face to face battles. While aggressive, they respect strength, and have built up the rebel Marshall as one of the greatest warriors from the kingdoms, the one who bested them in fair combat. So there is a good chance of peace.

Hmmm... I'd say it depends. Mostly they see them as weak and leave them out to die. Occasionally they rise up through the tribes and unite them, using their human cunning to get ahead.
