Extra: Ashley left right out of high school to go on a three year archaeological dig/study abroad program. She ended up staying an additional two years though. In that time she married one of her colleagues, a man named Michael and got pregnant. Michael died when she was only a few month pregnant though. They had opened a new tomb and he went in first. Inside was unstable and he had been gravely injured. Even doing all they cold he didn't make it. By the time Ashley had her baby and they were both fit to travel, her high school reunion was also coming up. Newly widowed and a new mother she went home. She opted to stay home too with her single mother, she needed help and she wasn't able to stay at the dig site. Her 'boss' had ensured that after she had a maternity leave of sorts and had time to properly grieve that she could have a job at the local museum. (Byrne is her married name)

Extra: She is Ashley's mom. She had Ashley when she was 19 with her childhood sweetheart. They got married shortly after. Her husband was in the military and when Ashley was 15 he went MIA. Margaret's best friends happened to be the parents of Ashley's best friend and she couldn't help but to notice a lot of similarities to Ashley's life and her own. She liked Ashley's husband but a part of her had always thought Ashley and her childhood friend would end up together.

Extra: Demetrius fall in love with his best friend in high school, and for years tried to bring it up, but part of why he loved her was how lost in conversations they got. Just out of High school, she left and he tried to figure out where to go from there. Now, he is a doctor, starting his residency and just getting himself back on his feet. After college, he started getting into trouble, drinking and being fired several times, while he was starting medical school. From then on, he tried to isolate himself as time went on and he started to settle in on what he planned to do with his life. After starting at the hospital, he started to sleep around starting with the director's daughter and ending with the nursing staff. It wasn't until he was into his second year that he got transferred out to another hospital, just when he got the invite to his high school reunion. For the first time since after high school, he is trying to straighten out, just to see his best friend, who he hasn't talked to since he was started medical school.

Extra: Helena has been best friends with Maggie since they were in high school. Her son was a good guy, when Ashley was around, but he has always been a trouble maker. She loved Ashley like a daughter, and still talks to Maggie about it, since their children went their separate ways. Maggie and her made a promise not to tell their children about what was going on with the other, so there was no guilt between them. But she always believed the same as Maggie, about them.

Extra: Helena and Fernando meet shortly after freshman year in college and he has been in love with her since. Maggie and him don't always get along but no husband ever gets along completely with their wife's best friend. When Maggie lost her husband, who Fernando got along with just like Maggie and Helena, Fernando did his best to help were he could and were she would let him. He stops by sometimes, even now just in case Maggie needs the help, handy work mostly. Fernando works is ass off to make sure his wife and son can focus on what they need to.
