Lacey Abbadelli
soft smile.jpg
The woman let Aquila order whatever her little heart desired as she watched the girl get excited over what she was going to have. Lacey was distracted at the moment, her thoughts trapped in a whirlpool of soft voices capturing her attention and keeping her from staying within the real world. She had been looking at Aquila but her thoughts were getting so loud that she didn’t hear the young woman exclaim. Lace was quick to snap out of her trance, actually finding what Aquila had to say far more interesting than the usual voices in her head. It was rare that she chose to ignore them, only a few people were blessed to have her complete attention.

Raising a brow as the girl lowered her voice, a smirk formed on Lacey’s lips. Lacey never cared about what others thought of her crazy side…and that’s what set her apart from the rest of the room, from those who deemed themselves crazy. Lacey knew nothing of consequences because they didn’t matter to her. Limitations and boundaries don’t exist in her world and she has no conscience to hold her back from her deepest and sickest desires.

Lacey nodded her head firmly as Aquila said Angelica gave good advice. That’s what most people said about Angelica. The side of Lacey that was one that most people trusted. Sweet, kind and compassionate towards others, Angelica aims to please others. Taking care of their needs before hers, she is has always wanted children but Lacey always argued against it. Looking at Aquila, Angelica was practically leaping, seeing her as a youngster to take care of. Lacey had a soft spot for the girl as well, and although she knew she could easily fight control over Angelica, she allowed her to join the conversation.

”You will live a happier life if you ignore what others thing.” The brunette said smoothly, her normally sweet tone taking on a sort of warmth to it. She watched Aquila closely before the bartender set their drinks down in front of them. Lacey nodded her head in thanks before lifting up the first glass, Angelica’s favorite: Manhattan’s. Lifting it to her lips, she took a slow and deliberate sip as Aquila changed the subject back to what Lacey had been saying about the contour stick. This caused a small smile to form on the woman’s lips mid drink, finishing her sip before setting it down. ”Well I would love to teach you. I always thought it was unfair that Danny got a protege and i didn’t,” The shift between Lacey and Angelica was clear to those who knew what was going on in the crazy woman’s head. A small pout formed on the woman’s lips. ”Can’t have you looking like a chimney sweep, that’s just not in anymore, love.” She teased the girl. Angelica made a return, wanting to easy the girl’s worries as she reached out and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. ”When I was your age, I use to apply my eyeliner so thick…I looked like a raccoon! My daddy was so frightened he tried to shoot me in the house!” This of course was not the real reason behind that story, but that was something for another time.

Sophia nodded her head lightly as Emmett told her not to worry about her little rant. It was understandable to be stir crazy but Sophia knew that she shouldn’t be, not after being with the family for so long, having gone through this every year. When Emmett revealed he was as adjusted as he was going to get, Sophia smirked at that answer. She understood the feeling well, once again, she’d been with the Biancardi’s for almost 5 years and yet she couldn’t find herself ever truly adjusting. It was uncomfortable being placed in such a situation, like this, even if they were all trained for it.

Sophia envied Emmett for a moment, imagining that it must have been peaceful in the shop, unlike the obnoxious and loud lot she was left to deal with up in the higher levels. Believe it or not, when Antonio and Dan get together, they don’t know how to shut up. On that negative thought, Sophia huffed out a sigh. ”I’m jealous I must say. I would rather spend my time in the presence of cars than in the presence of Tweedledee and Tweedledum,” She nodded in the direction of the bar, where the two men had been standing at for quite some time.

”What I wouldn’t give for some silence once in a while.” Sophia chuckled lightly before shrugging her shoulders. Her eyes looked towards people in the next room before saying, ”This mission shouldn’t take long now. If they haven’t sniffed us out now, there’s really no way they will in the future. They trust me therefore trust you lot.” Now she just needed to make sure everyone got out of this alive this time. Clearing her throat lightly, trying to not think so negatively now, she spoke again. ”How do you like Xirena?”

Zane Williams

1550872592786.pngZane had been at Biancardi Tower for some time already, but he hadn't yet made it higher than the ground floor lobby. He leaned on the reception desk as he continued to flirt with the hostess who had greeted him when he first entered the building. The blonde was an attractive woman and was certainly pleasing on the eyes, but the entire exchange was a well-practised act for Zane. Most of his life nowadays was an act, all in the name of working undercover for the NYPD. "I should probably be getting myself up to my boss' fundraiser, as much as I'm enjoying our conversation," he said, feigning a sigh after his last word. He stood up straight and smoothed over his suit jacket. "Be honest. Do I look smart enough for this party?" he asked her.

"Of course you do. Such modesty, Sir." The young woman giggled and shook her head in disbelief. "As if you even needed to ask!"

"You're too kind... It's been lovely speaking with you. Don't work too hard down here!" he told her, before making his way to the elevator. His eyes continued to study and memorise his surroundings. The whole time with the blonde had been to disguise the fact he was studying the building. The exits and entrances; the people arriving and leaving; not to mention brief glimpses of the nearby limited CCTV footage on the screen behind the reception desk. He wanted to be as aware and knowledgeable of his surroundings as possible.

When he eventually reached the higher level of the building, Zane stepped out of the elevator, now mentally prepared for the evening ahead of him. Despite it being his duty to the NYPD to work undercover, if he was being honest, he often felt at home when working in the casino and getting to throw his weight around on behalf of the Biancardis. He took to his role like a duck to water, finding it easy to do what was expected of him. However, even he couldn't help but feel a little out of place as he approached the lavish party.

Zane passed Sophia and Emmet - his real colleagues - and sent the pair an acknowledging nod. "Having fun?" he pleasantly remarked. They were all in the same boat but he figured it would look less suspicious if he joined the main party rather than sit around with two of his fellow rats. Continuing on his way, he made a beeline for the bar and immediately ordered himself a brandy. As he waited, he observed his surroundings and politely nodded to those he recognised. He soon noticed Marianna sat nearby at the bar and so sent her a friendly smile, but remained standing where he was as he awaited his drink being served to him.

Marianna was relieved when the short class was set down in front of her, spheres of ice and cool amber liquid filling it with an orange and cherry garnish. She swirled the glass a bit, watching the contents mix together slightly. Taking a sip, the warmth from the whiskey and coolness of the ice refreshed her, keeping her on her toes in a loud room full of both familiar and unfamiliar faces. Were something to happen, she didn't want to be caught off-guard. There was no relaxation or safety for a person like Mari.

She felt the familiar prickle of someone's eyes on her. She briefly glanced over the crowd at the bar, her instincts causing her to assess for any enemy parties or concealed weapons. While Mari was sure a lot of the people at this party were carrying, her included, for the moment it didn't seem as though anyone was about to open fire. Relaxing ever so slightly, her stormy blue eyes finally met someone else's. Finding Zane's friendly smile, Mari offered one of her own in return. They worked together at the casino in her off days. She remembered seeing him as a bouncer or security or something while she tended to the bar.

Feeling as though she should probably make conversation at this party, Marianna stood from her stool and walked over to Zane, drink in hand. "Hot-headed, flirtatious, and sarcastic," Marianna commented, a light smirk playing on her lips, "If my bartender skills are correct, and they usually are, you seem like a brandy man." Even though bartending for the Biancardi's casino was her cover, she was still rather good at it. "I prefer a nice Old-Fashioned or Manhattan myself. Did you just get here?"

Emmett let out a low chuckle at the nicknames 'Tweedledee' and 'Tweedledum.' He knew exactly who she was talking about without her even having to say their names. Emmett had a few interactions with the two men, finding them to be a bit...over-the-top to say the least. Antonio had a personality that could drown out everyone else's in the room and Dan... Well, Dan probably should have started seeing a therapist a long time ago. "Honestly, I don't blame you," Em responded with a grin, "They seem to be quite the handful."

There was a moment of silence before Sophia spoke again, and Em could detect a bit of urgency in the low tone of her voice. On one hand, he was relieved that soon his life wouldn't be a complete lie anymore. On the other, Emmett didn't really feel as though he had contributed much to this mission as he should have. While he had learned a bit about the routines of the Biancardi family, his insight into their lifestyles wasn't detailed enough for his liking. Simply nodding as to not bring anymore attention to the statement, Emmett leaned back casually on the stairs. He looked up as Zane passed, rolling his eyes. "Fun is subjective."

At the mention of Xirena, Emmett let out another low laugh, glancing over at Sophia. "She's a wild one, I'll give her that. Fiery personality that shows she's a survivor. And she knows more about cars than I could ever wish to, so I have to respect her for that," he replied, shrugging one shoulder. He had talked with the Biancardi's mechanic a few times, since he worked underneath her. She was guarded and careful, but he picked out a few things about her from her demeanor and word choice. Maybe those behavioral profiling classes at the academy had paid off after all. "She doesn't seem too keen on me just yet, but I'm working on it." After a brief pause of consideration, Emmett asked, "How about Marianna?"

Claudia frowned when it became evident that the cop wasn't yet dead. However, as Antonio went on to remind her that the guy deserved a slow and painful death, her features softened and she nodded in agreement. "Of course, you're right," she told him. "It's not often you're right, but I'll let you have this one," she teased. "Let's hope Lacey gives him a fitting death. But just remember, this lady right here," she said, pointing to herself, "needs to be pleased before any others." She couldn't help but smile as she noticed how her husband seemed more alive by the thought of power and that in turn made him somehow even more attractive than he already was.

Claudia softened when her husband told her they should be enjoying the party. She closed her eyes for a moment and leaned in to the kiss he placed on her forehead. Her eyes sprung open at mention of drinks and a crooked smile occupied her lips. "Darling, you read my mind. The kids don't stand a chance against us when it comes to drinking."

Before they managed to reach the bar, they were intercepted by Mr. Adler. Claudia had smelled the man long before seeing him and she had to concentrate on maintaining a friendly expression rather than visibly turning her nose up at his stench. "Good evening, Mr. Adler," she pleasantly greeted him. When he made his comment about Antonio making eyes at her throughout their previous meeting, she let out a humoured laugh, still playing along. "That's why I married him," she said, placing her arm around Antonio's waist. "I knew from the day we met that I'd bagged myself the kindest and most generous man possible," she said, sending a loving gaze into her husband's eyes. "Not that I don't keep him on his toes, mind you!" she joked. She was a good actress and it was so easy to play along with men like Adler.

Claudia brought her attention back to the topic of the donations, her face now serious and concerned for the plight of the sick children. When Adler admitted he might not be paying into the charity this time, Claudia sent Antonio a glance before fixing her eyes back onto Adler. "Oh, that is a real shame. I know how interested the press is in covering this event and publishing a section spotlighting the donors. From what I'd heard, they were hoping to catch a little of your time too," she informed him, hoping the information would make him feel compelled to change his mind. She then let out a soft laugh and dabbed the corners of her eyes a little as if to catch rogue tears. "I was just reminiscing with Toni about when I gave birth to my youngest daughter. Due to complications, I had to stay in hospital for a week and I met some very brave people in that time. It still breaks my heart now to think of how so many innocent, young angels have to suffer and have their lives cut so terribly short." She gasped for air, trying to contain her feigned emotions. "The hospital really needs that new wing. It's upsetting to know that those sick kiddies can't be suitably accommodated for in what remains of their short lives."

Zane watched as Marianna made her way towards him. Though he had partly expected her to do so, he was still somewhat surprised. Regardless, he knew it wouldn't hurt him to make an effort and be open to the imminent interaction. The more he could learn about Biancardi's closest members, the better. As it happened, the blonde worked as the casino and so he could only conclude she would be a great place to start. It helped that she was easy on the eyes, so he was sure he could take some pleasure from the situation even if it didn't benefit his duties to the NYPD.

He turned slightly in his spot so he could face Marianna in time for her to address him. When she made an assessment, seemingly of his personality, he raised his eyebrow in curiosity. "Wow, I guess you think you've got me all figured out, don't you?" he sarcastically informed her. Zane accepted his brandy from the barman, intentionally choosing not to acknowledge she'd been right about his choice of drink. He proceeded to taking a sip of the brandy, enjoying the sensation as the alcohol burned slightly down the back of his throat. Eventually, he shrugged his shoulders and opened up his posture, apparently accepting her accurate judgement. "Usually I'm a big fan of foreplay, but it seems you'd rather get straight to the action," he teased. "I'm partial to a simple brandy, but I can't deny your choice of drinks are also good ones."

When asked if he'd just arrived, he took another sip from his glass before nodding his head. "Yeah, I just arrived to the party," he informed her. "I mean, I did get held up in the lobby for a little while, though. One of the employees down there was far too talkative. I didn't have the heart to interrupt her mid-conversation. It wouldn't be the gentlemanly thing to do," he remarked. He took in Marianna's features for a moment, once again acknowledging how attractive she was. "How about you? Have you been here long? I'm not sure how long these parties go on for... do they usually end up messy?" he asked, before finishing with short, mischievous laugh.

Dan's attention was briefly drawn away from Xirena and Luci as he saw Lacey approaching the bar. His eyes locked onto hers, as they often did. There was a fire in the woman's eyes and he knew it was a crazy-ass inferno that would destroy anything in its path if given half the chance. Still, his awareness of her volatility did absolutely nothing to deter him. If anything, the danger encouraged him further and gave him a longing to let that woman have her wicked way with him. Lacey was seriously unhinged, but Dan had been called erratic and unstable himself. As a boy, his old man had brought him along to work on many occasions. Work wasn't an office or anything remotely above board. Instead, the child version of Dan had watched on as his father beat, tortured and murdered men in the name of 'business'. There was never going to be much chance of Dan growing up to be a normal and upstanding member of society.

Dan licked his lips and allowed his eyes to remained fixed on Lacey, even after she'd brushed against him and continued on her way. He suddenly snapped out of his gaze and brought his attention back to the two ladies whose conversation he was still a part of. Luci announced she was going to return to her friends and Dan looked over his shoulder in the direction of where the group was. He nodded his head and turned back to his cousin. "Just remember to go easy with the drink. Don't do drugs. And definitely don't do anything your cousin Dan wouldn't do. Or should that be don't do anything I would do? I don't know. Just be sensible," he lightly lectured her. He only watched the girl walk away for a few seconds before turning back to Xirena. "They grow up so fast," he said, pretending to wipe away tears of pride.

"So, Ren. How are things going in that garage of yours? You've got yourself a nice little plaything working with you, right?" he asked, referring to Emmett. "I hope you get more fun out of him than I get from Sophia. I'm sure my Uncle Toni was punishing me for something when he chose her as my protege," he remarked. He took another long drink of his pint before setting the glass back down on the bar. "Fuck me, that woman is boring. If she could even talk a man into joining her in bed, I imagine she'd have the lights off and just lay there while he does all the work." He then grinned in a devious manner. "Mind you, I get a real kick out of winding her up. She makes it too easy."

Marianna rolled her blue eyes at the sarcasm in his tone at her assessment of his drink preference. She was a firm believer that you could tell a lot about a person by how they act at the bar and what they order. Brandy was historically the drink of explorers, and is still enjoyed by those that seek adventure, those that love the rush of adrenaline. Zane was probably one of the types of people, having a "do and worry about the consequences later" mentality. He stood tall and turned his body towards her. That lead Mari to believe he was confident, maybe even egotistically so, and loved the game of flirting with women.

When the barman set a glass of brandy down in front of him, a small smirk played at the corner of Marianna's lips. She watched as he took a drink before acknowledging her again, noting how he relaxed a bit and seemed to accept she wasn't entirely wrong. As the daughter of a detective, Mari was taught from a young age to keep a watchful eye on those around her, to look for tells and signals of their mood and intentions. It was a skill that benefited her to that day. At the mention of foreplay, she chuckled dryly, turning back to her own drink to take a sip. At least she knew she wasn't entirely wrong about the egotistical part.

At the mention of the woman in the lobby, Marianna smirked again, remembering the lady behind the counter downstairs. The receptionist had been checking her phone rather persistently, and her eyes had been tinged slightly red as though she was crying recently. On the inside of her wrist was a faded, poorly done butterfly tattoo and she wore a bit too much make-up. "I've been here long enough to have a few drinks and make some rounds," Mari responded, shrugging one shoulder as she took another sip from the Old-Fashioned. "Messy? No, not really. But if you want messy, that receptionist downstairs wouldn't mind. She's a bit desperate, just got out of a relationship, is on the rebound, and has some daddy issues. Seems like just your type."

Zane Williams

1550872592786-png.544269
Zane could tell Marianna was looking him over and possibly even analysing him. He spent much of the time doing the same to those he was investigating, so it stood out to him when others were doing so in return. Was it the fact that working for a criminal family made her suspicious or was she just trying to suss out someone she believed to be chatting her up? Her dry chuckle at his foreplay remark made it clear she wasn't open for such flirtations and that secretly amused him. In all honesty, he quite liked it. He knew he was attractive and with a small amount of effort someone would be sharing his bed by the end of the night, but they wouldn't be women who would be interesting enough to spend more than a night with. The fact Marianna wasn't throwing herself at him was kind of refreshing.

Zane nodded his head when she told him she'd had a few drinks already. He didn't have much else to say on that matter, his question merely being for the purpose of small talk and returning her own question. What he did find interesting were her next words about the blonde receptionist from the lobby. He almost spat out his drink at what he perceived to be an intentional sting in her words. He carefully set the glass tumbler on the bar and didn't try to hide the smirk from his face. "Well, now I am interested in her. Desperate, daddy issues AND on the rebound?!" he echoed. "No doubt she'll be up for anything, then. I wonder what time she clocks off..." he played along. "Poor woman, though. I'm sure she doesn't appreciate her private life being gossiped about," he remarked, pulling a sympathetic frown.

"You're pretty sarcastic yourself, I have to point out."

Ren almost choked on her drink at Dan's comeback, stating that he'd give it a good go. She thought nothing would surprise her anymore with him, but it just took her off guard. She was busy nodding her head at Emmett who had caught her eye a few minutes ago. He worked under her in the garage and she thought he was okay. Sometimes kind of a nuisance because he didn't know as much as she, but a cool little student nonetheless. With her attention brought back by Luci's departure, she shook her head at Dan. "Maybe if Lacey doesn't mind we can try it out." She joked, having picked up on the way they were staring at each other. Ren could always feel the sexual tension between Dan and all of Lacey's personalities and always wondered why they didn't just get it over with. It could be a fun adventure, she thought and was ready to hear the stories about each and every encounter.

At the mention of her garage, she shrugged her shoulders. "Pretty great. Got more scars and burns now." She said, showing him her bandaged middle finger and a smug grin. "Emmett? Pisses me off sometimes with the questions, man. Sometimes I wish he'd just be quiet and let me work, but I know I'm supposed to be training him or whatever." She shifted a little against the bar, leaning her back against it with both her elbows behind her. Her head was cocked to the side as she continued her conversation with Dan. "Although, it is very enjoyable to see him perplexed when we get complicated cars in and when we strip 'em." She chuckled to herself just thinking before she listened to him talk about Sophia. Ren hadn't worked with her much before but whenever she was around, she found her interesting. They seemed like they were very similar when it came to working at least. "I don't know, I kind of like her. She gets straight to the point and doesn't pussyfoot around like everyone else." Ren took another sip of her drink before asking for a refill, then snickered. "Daniel, who don't you love to wind up?"

After his reponse, Lyle had took out his phone and scrolling through some coding jobs. On the side, he would take on little jobs doing design work in order to make a little extra cash. Usually after he would give a response like this, they would call him some obscene name like jerk or asshole but this guy hadn't. In fact, he seemed amused with such a bold and rude remark and stuck around. He even had his own retort, to which Lyle slowly looked up and narrowed his eyes. What did this guy want, he wondered. With a deep breath, he pushed his glasses up and tapped the side of them twice, a habit he had developed years ago. "Well, I for one don't need any alcohol to interact with people. I don't like them, therefore don't find it necessary to." He shrugged his shoulders before taking a sip of his drink.

To say Carlisle was growing uncomfortable would be an understatement, as he wasn't use to talking for this long. He shifted his weight from leg to another, before responding to Everleigh again. "You can stand there, sure. But don't expect me to respond." Again, he turned his attention back to his phone hoping his continued "disinterest" would finally make him go away. In fact, a small part of him was hoping he would stick around so he could collect some sort of data on him and fill his file. But again, the introvert in him was not going to let that happen so he remained on his phone, leaning against a while with his ginger ale in hand.

Sophia nodded her head in Zane’s direction as he passed through, ”How nice of you to join us, finally.” There was a hint of irritation in the woman’s voice and she knew that Zane wouldn’t give a crap less if she was irritated with him. Her eyes followed him as he made his way towards the bar and Sophia couldn’t help but feel like she was going to have more of a hard time with him than any of the others. The brunette didn’t have the patience for difficult people, so it would be interesting to see how it all worked out. But like she had said, the mission had its end in sight…she hopefully wouldn’t have to deal with him for too long.

Sophia listened with interest as Emmett talked about Xirena, nodding her head lightly as he spoke about the woman’s fiery personality. Sophia didn’t like to admit it, but she enjoyed the woman’s company from time to time. She didn’t like to admit that any of the people working for the Biancardi’s were human. ”Working on its good.” She confirmed with the man before there was a brief pause between the two of them again. His question about Marianna caught her off guard and she had to think about her answer for a long moment. ”She’s…alright.” Sophia murmured lightly.

”Its hard not to think of these people as nothing more than criminals if I’m being completely honest.” She said, though her and Mari seemed like they would get along a lot better than anyone else in the family. She had a similar personality, similar background. ”She’s better than the others.” Sophia said after another moment before shrugging her shoulders and standing slowly. ”I’m going to get another drink.” Her eyes glanced to the window, able to see the city below and her eyes widened ever so slightly at what she saw. Several police cars moved into the round about of the building, lights flashing and sirens blaring, though she couldn’t hear from this height to be sure.
Suited up .jpg
Sophia wondered what the hell they were doing here, last time she had heard from them, there had been no decision for any sort of arrests yet. Sophia turned from the window and looked to Emmett. ”We’ve got company.” She said before nodding her head for him to follow. Sophia didn’t hesitate as she made a beeline for Antonio, who was chatting it up with some of the richest men in all of New York.

They laughed and chatted away happily but Sophia was quick to interrupt. ”Excuse me. Mr. Biancardi, you are needed for a moment.” The man turned his attention to Sophia with a goofy buzzed smile. ”Can’t it wait till later Sophia? I’m just having a wonderful chat with my wife and Mr.Ad-“ ”No.” Sophia interrupted, her face clearly showing that now was not the time to fuck around.

Antonio let out a low sigh before nodding his head, ”Forgive me, I shall return in a few moments. Duty calls.” He told Mr. Adler. Figuring Claudia would want to be in the know, Antonio led her from the conversation and followed Sophia over to the window she had been looking at. Not a moment, his phone began to ring. Upon answering, he was informed that officers were waiting in the lobby, wanting to question the family on the disappearance of an officer. This made the man tighten his hand around the phone before proceeding to tell the lobby woman to send them up.

Turning towards, the two of them he sighed. ”We’ve got a rat in our basement, the rest of his little clan seemed to have sniffed out his sent. We need to throw them off.” This was all a surprise to Sophia, having no idea that there was a police officer being kept in the basement. She didn’t show the surprise on her face as she nodded her head. Understanding what she needed to do. Grabbing Emmett a bit roughly, she pulled him back towards the party, her thoughts racing about how they could get the officer out of the building now.

Antonio stayed near the window, his hand holding Claudia's as his other went to pinch the bridge of his nose. After a long pause, he spoke, "I need you to take the children back up to the house. I don't want those pigs questioning them if we have a choice...and I want you to stay up there with them." He had seen most of his kids at the party, except for one. Klarion. Normally, he didn't care what his son did but with the cops sniffing so close now and with the cop missing...if he wasn't hear it would look suspicious. "Get Klarion here. He's only going to raise concerns if he isn't here."

Sophia pushed pasted people roughly, not caring as people protested and hissed profanities at her. ”You think you can distract the cops? I had no idea they were keeping one of our own in the basement. We need to think quickly, get him out…he has to know something crucial to the case if they are holding him.” She spoke quickly, hoping that she was getting through to him as they pushed through the crowd towards Dan and Ren now. ”Cops came to crash the party.” Sophia didn’t waste any time informing the man. ”We need to clear the party. They are wanting to question the family.”

Marianna took in the smirk on his face, recognizing she was correct about his egotistical nature. Her eyes glanced down to the drink he carelessly sat on the counter before returning to his face, taking in his features. She couldn't deny that he was handsome, with a strong jawline and symmetrical face. He reminded her of the type of guys her father always had warmed her about as a kid: hot-headed, flirty, and good-lucking. At the time, it had seemed rather funny. But now that she was an adult, she could definitely understood.

But there was something about his eyes and his demeanor that Mari couldn't quite place, but it disconcerted her. Mari had the weird feeling that she shouldn't trust him completely. But then again, Mari didn't really trust anyone. After everything that has happened to her in her lifetime, Mari had built up too many mental walls to risk trusting people. She hated the idea of being vulnerable, and did whatever she could to avoid it. But then, Antonio had sentenced her to training Zane eventually, and Mari couldn't let Antonio down. The Biancardi family had done too much for her.

"Everyone at this party is being gossiped about, whether they know it or not. The people here don't miss anything," she replied with a shrug of her shoulders, taking the final sip of her Old Fashioned before setting the empty glass on the bar top. "Sarcasm is my second language, but I'm still rather fluent in it," Marianna responded with a playful smirk, a slightly flirtatious tone to her voice. There wasn't any meaning behind it. It was just one of the ways Mari could learn about someone: their body language and word choice. But before she could gauge Zane's response, Mari noticed Antonio and Claudia standing by the window, faint flashing blue and red lights reflecting in the glass. Mari immediately tensed, hand moving to the gun in a holster on her thigh, the slit in her dress tall enough for her to reach it. "Son of a bitch."

Emmett didn't like to admit that he cared about anyone in or working for the Biancardi family. But Mari was different. He had promised Detective Rossi to look after her if he ever found her. While Emmett had avoided mentioning the trouble Marianna was in the last time he visited the detective, he couldn't let his mentor down. He was happy Sophia said Mari was alright. That let him know there was still a bit of humanity left in the girl. Maybe he could pull herself out of this whole situation after all.

Emmett nodded as Sophia stood, mentioning she was going to get another drink. He stood to go with, also needing more alcohol to make it through the night. That's when he noticed ever her tense ever so slightly, looking out the window. Emmett glanced out the glass as well, seeing multiple police cards lining the street below. "Shit," he cursed under his breath, turning on his feel and quickly following Sophia back into the rush of the party. He didn't say anything as Sophia spoke to Antonio, simply watching the scene unfold out the window.

After Sophia grabbed him and pulled him back towards the party. He let her, knowing that she was the one in charge of the entire operation. "I used to do negotiations. If I can get them to question me first, I'll try to stall as long as I can," Emmett responded to Sophia lowly before they met up with Ren and Dan. Nodding at Ren tensely, Emmett stood behind Sophia, waiting for more order if there were any. He watched the elevator closely, waiting for the cops to arrive.

Dan couldn't help but grin when Xirena suggested they both "tried it out" if Lacey didn't mind. "I'm sure Lacey wouldn't mind at all. Granted, she'd want to join in, but I'm game..." he trailed off. By now he didn't deny any kind of attraction to Lacey. He was far from shy about such a topic and even if nothing ever came of it, it was still no skin off his nose. He often liked to live in the present. There was no use dwelling on the past and he knew a man involved in the shit he was tied to meant every tomorrow would be a bonus. He was under no illusions about living a long and peaceful life.

When the mechanic showed him her injured middle finger, Dan placed his hand on his chest and feigned offence. "Bit fucking rude, that, Ren," he remarked, accusing her of flipping him the middle finger. He then grinned. "You should get your apprentice to kiss it better," he said, referring to Emmett. He listened and maintained a thin smile as she spoke about how Emmett was getting on in the garage. His smile faded when she defended Sophia, but he didn't fight it. He didn't really dislike his protege, he just found her a little uptight and square compared to himself.

When asked who he didn't love to wind up, Dan spent a short time giving the question some deep thought, before shrugging his shoulders. "I'm stumped, love. I suppose everyone's fair game."

Soon enough, the woman in question approached the bar and informed them the cops were there to crash the party. "You've got to be kidding me," he scoffed, grabbing his pint and taking a long drink of the beer. "Any idea what we're supposed to have done wrong this time? Pretty sure I've been on my best behaviour all day," he fibbed.

Regardless, Dan knew it was time to switch to his serious mask and help to get the party cleared, for his family's sake. He wasn't afraid of a few cops, but he wanted the guests gone and to know none of his family were going to find themselves in trouble.

”Well apparently there’s a rat in the basement.” Sophia said to Dan. Biting her lip, she looked around the room, before sighing. ”I’m going to go get the rest of the crew together.” She announced before nodding her head for Emmett to follow. Sophia made a beeline for the bar, towards Zane and Mari. The expression on her face made it clear that something was up. She needed to get Mari away from Zane long enough to fill him in on the plan. That would be easy. ”Party’s over. Seems like the pigs don’t appreciate a good time.” Sophia informed the pair, her face serious as she looked Mari’s way. ”Antonio said we need to clear the party, Can you make sure all the guests get into the elevator?” She asked lightly, hoping the woman would be able to do as she asked. This plan of hers was going to need to be executed swiftly and carefully if they wanted to get the officer out of the basement. ”There’s a rat in the basement that the others need back and Antonio wants to make sure he’s not found. If you are questioned you need to make sure you know nothing...which you basically don’t.” Sophia said to the group. After a moment, she watched the party go on before turning to Zane and Emmett, ”You two, follow me.” She simply ordered, not giving any time for arguments as she turned on her heels once more, moving to find Lyle in the crowd of people.

She was going to need the security cameras out if this whole plan was going to work. It was a dangerous task and she hated to ask the kid for this type of favor but he was the only one who could do it...at least the only one she trusted. Once finding him, she was quick to speak, noting that Everleigh was close by. Addressing him first, Sophia said, ”Your mother is looking for you, I’m going to steal Lyle real quick. K? Thanks.” Sophia was quick to grab Lyle before turning and walking towards the opposite side of the room, hoping that they would follow she started to guide the men towards the front where they would first help lead the people out of the building.

Before much could be done however, there was the familiar ping from the elevator and Sophia turned to see the men in blue moving into the foyer. ”Oh fuck me.” Sophia cursed before turning to look at the men quickly. ”I need Lyle to knock out the security cameras in the building. Emmett, stall them as long as you can….And, Zane.” Sophia turned to her second in command with raised eyebrows and sighed heavily, ”I need you to come with me. We need to retrieve the officer from the basement and get him out of the building, out of sight of both the security and the officers.” She then looked between all three men, assuming that they were willing to do this, she nodded her head. ”Good. Let’s evacuate the party and get to work.”

Everleigh hadn’t Gotten the reaction he had expected out of the guy but he seeing as how he was standing by himself he should have known he would make him uncomfortable, if the shitfting was anything to go by. He stood there for a bit just waiting. When he was about to start talking again Sophia walked up to them, Zane and Emmett trailing behind her.

He pushed off the wall. He knew something was off and didn’t question or ask what was going on when she informed him that his mother was looking for him. Not that he would have time anyway. She was there and gone, taking Lyle off with her. He watched them leave until he couldn’t see them anymore. Guess that ends tonight’s fun.

He walked quickly, looking for his mother. He had seen her, along with his father earlier so he headed over that way. Once he found them he slowed before stopping in front of them and asked cautiously “what’s going on?” He could see just past them and out the window and noticed the flashing lights. He walked a bit closer to the window to get a better look. Fuck. They always had to ruin the fun.“Why are the cops here?” He turned back to his parents.

Zane Williams

1551402693942.pngAs Marianna told him everyone was being gossiped about, Zane looked around the room and slowly nodded his head in agreement. "So, what do you think they might be saying about you?" he curiously questioned her. He noticed the blonde seemed to add a little playfulness to her demeanour, with what he was sure was a little flirting in her voice too. His smile became a softer one, wondering if there was hope to break through the closed wall she'd been building between them so far. He was very curious about the young woman, he knew that much.

The flashing blue and red lights soon created some distraction, causing Zane the groan slightly. He hadn't been expecting police presence and wasn't overly keen on having to deal with them during his fine evening. He nodded his head at Marianna's "son of a bitch remark". He casually shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I know I'm innocent," he said, flashing a knowing wink being that he was apparently involved in the gang's business.

As he took a sip of his brandy, Sophia arrived on the scene and made it clear she was taking the police presence seriously. "That's a shame," he said, placing the empty glass tumbler down on the bar. He listened as Marianna was given some orders and he then followed Sophia, alongside Emmett. Soon enough, Emmett was given orders of his own and so Zane was to stay with Sophia to retrieve the officer. He hated to think of another cop being killed at the hands of the city's gangs and thugs. Hearing the officer was in trouble reminded him of how dangerous the Biancardis were and that they needed to be stopped, regardless of how tempting some aspects of their lifestyle may seem. "Of course, Sophia. Let's get him out of here and back to safety, before it's too late."

Marianna removed her gun from the holster, holding it loosely down at her side as she eyed the window wearily. She was never a fan of dealing with the cops, especially since she used to have a close connection with them. Though most of her interactions dealt with officers outside of her father's old precinct, Mari didn't really enjoy the idea of possibly being recognized and subsequently her father finding out what she's been up to all those years. It was easier if he was kept in the dark, not having to worry let alone think about her. The last thing she needed was him to go on a suicide mission, trying to "rescue" her from this life.

Marianna holstered her weapon as Sophia approached with the Ren's apprentice in the mechanics shop in tow. She knew there would be orders, and waited patiently for them. Sophia seemed serious, probably as worried about the situation as Mari was. She had heard talking about the rat in the basement, just in case she needed to clean up Lacey's fun later, and knew that the cops couldn't find out about it. As Sophia told her what to do, Mari nodded and turned to the bar. She lifted herself easily on top of it, carefully avoiding breaking anything as she did so.

Placing her fingers between her lips, Mari let out a loud whistle that could be heard across the party. The music cut, and the crowd all but went silent, turning to stare at her. Marianna hated being the center of attention, her job generally requiring that she stay in the shadows. But Mari chose to ignore those feelings and follow orders. "Party's over, everyone get out!" she shouted, pointing towards the elevators. She felt like someone busting a college party, but she chose not to care for the time being. Mari jumped back to the ground and began directing everyone to the elevators, using her resting bitch face to intimidate people into doing what she said.

Emmett followed Sophia loyally, eyeing the other people at the party. He wondered if any of them were the snitch, calling in the cops for some petty reason against the Biancardi. Because their assignments were undercover, most precincts didn't know about them. Which means that they didn't know their so-called "bust" could ruin months and months of work on the detectives' parts. At the sight of Mari, he remained indifferent, not wanting to tip her off to any recognition he had of her. Instead, he nodded once to Zane, his eyes following them as they took off on their own mini mission. Emmett hoped they could get the officer out before anyone noticed.

Once they were out of sight, and Mari had started to clear the party, Emmett blended in with the mass of people going towards the elevators. With that many people needing to exit the building, it would stall the officers down below for a bit. But not long enough, Emmett knew. He shoved through the mass of people, murmuring polite 'excuse me's' and 'sorry's' as he did so. Somehow, Emmett made it into the first elevator downstairs, packed against people like sardines in a tin can. Emmett hated not being able to move much, and the older lady next to him had her hand on his ass. He hoped it was an accident, but when he glanced down at her face, he knew it wasn't.

Emmett shot forward out of the elevator as soon as the doors opened, happy to finally be out of that situation and away from that lady's groping hands. His eyes scanned the lobby, finally resting on the front doors where a group of officers had just walked in. Putting on his best anger face, Emmett crossed the room to the officers. "It took you lot long enough!" he shouted with faux anger, crossing his arms over his chest as he stared them down. "I called like 30 minutes ago and you're just now showing up. The guy is probably halfway to Virginia by now." The officers gave him a confused look.

"Um, sir? What are you talking about?" one of the officers asked, obviously not a rookie but still pretty green.

"My car! Some asshole stole my car! It was parked right out there!" Emmett responded, forcefully pointing to the empty curb right outside. The officers turned to look, and Emmett secretly hoped that the time it took to file a false police report and give a statement would be enough for Sophia and Zane.

The conversation with Mr. Adler was interrupted when Sophia showed up on the scene. It appeared to be for reasons of concern, but in that moment, Claudia was just glad to get away from the smelly rich man she'd been buttering up. She walked with Antonio to the window, tightening her jaw as they learned the cops were downstairs in the lobby and wishing to question them about a missing police officer. "Fucking pigs..." she hissed, directed at the law enforcers' being present.

As she held Antonio's hand, he was clearly unhappy with the situation. She nodded her head when told she was to take their kids up to their house. "Of course, love," she said, reaching her free hand up to caress his cheek and send him reassurance. She released her hand from her husband's and turned just in time for Everleigh to join them and ask what was happening. The lad soon found the answer for himself as he saw the flashing blue lights coming from outside. "What's going on is you and your sisters are coming upstairs with me," she sternly told him. The blonde then softened and placed her arm around her son's shoulder. "The cops want to ruin our evening - nothing new there. Apparently they've lost one of their own and are getting desperate," she remarked.

"Now, could you do me a favour and take Aquila straight upstairs with you? I'll get Luci," she told her son.

Soon enough, Claudia found Luci and the girl's group of friends she'd been drinking with. "Sorry, love. Party's over and I need you to join me upstairs," she informed her daughter. Claudia looked to the other girls and smiled. "If you ask the receptionist down in the lobby, she'll get a driver to take you all home," she offered them.

Lyle was super grateful to Sophia when she pulled him away from Everleigh. She didn't know it, but she had just saved him from a night of uncomfortable and unnecessary party talk. As well as the cops for showing up to the party. It was a good thing they crashed the party, but at the same time possibly the worst thing that could have happened at the moment. He shook his had at the mention of their oblivious counterparts. "It's too bad the cops don't just stay to themselves for once." It was supposed to some sort of joke, but Lyle was bad at making them. He cleared his throat as he was given his own assignment to take out the cameras. It was an easy enough job, as long as he could do it while making it look like some sort of outage and not deliberate sabotage. "Take out the cameras. No biggie."

Once they all parted ways, Lyle managed to slip out of the fire exit stairwell and made his way down to the security room. This would be where anything technical would be held, including their fuse box and the security to the cameras. The only problem would be getting through the two guys standing near the door. Lyle looked IT enough, but not a hundred percent. Besides, they could be familiar with all the IT people. Lyle muttered a curse then a prayer to himself before taking his chances with it. With a tight lipped grin, he walked from behind the corner and raised his hand for a wave. "Hey guys! Wonderful night, right?" The two men looked at each other before nodding in agreeance and asking what he was doing. "My boss sent me down here to check on some things. Nothing to concern yourselves with." As he tried to walk past them, the stopped him. "We weren't told about anyone coming through here. Where's your badge?" Lyle had to think of something quick and managed to sum up his inner actor, playing out a scene from a movie he saw. "Excuse me, would you like to tell..." He rolled his eyes, regretting having to use this one, "I'll just let Biancardi know that his internet isn't working because two goof balls wouldn't let me in."

It wasn't much longer before Lyle was in the room, looking around for a way to shut things down without it all being so obvious. He opened up a nearby computer and booted it up, accessing all types of on and off switches. "Let's do a whole rolling black out type deal here, Lyle... Hotels like this run on generators which the cameras aren't hooked up to. Reset the grid, takes thirty minutes to boot back up." He said, talking to himself as his fingers moved across the keyboard. "So when we knock shit out..." He said, pressing the enter key as everything went black. The room he was in came back to life as well as everything else in the hotel as the generator kicked in. He quickly texted Sophia, letting her know she had 30 minutes to do what she needed.

Sophia wanted to make this as quick as possible before anyone noticed they were gone, hopefully the presence of the police would be enough for them to sneak out of the room and head downstairs. Biting her lip lightly, she nodded at all three of the men before watching Emmett and Lyle get to work. Sophia watched the show Emmett put on with slight amusement in her eyes before turning to look at Zane. ”Keep up, alright?” She said firmly before turning back towards the scene Emmett was creating. Sophia knew that she couldn’t just leave the room without notifying someone of their disappearance. Figuring he would be the most laid back about her heading to check out the lobby, she head towards Daniel once again. ”We are checking on the security downstairs, making sure the guests get out without any trouble. Pigs won’t even know we are gone.” Without waiting for his approval, as she was learning that in order to be a right hand man, she would have to follow her instincts and majority of the time, they were right and Daniel didn’t have any problems with them.

Heading away from the foyer where the elevators were held, Sophia went down a shallow hallway that lead to the emergency stairwell. They would take that for a few flights, making sure to avoid any police before taking the elevator the rest of the way down. Sophia took one last look at the scene of the party, watching as the police looked at Emmett with confusion, beginning to argue that they were not there to help him. After a short moment, she slipped through the door, hoping Zane was close behind as they headed down the first flight of stairs.

Heading down the second flight, the lights suddenly shut off leaving them in the dark for what seemed like minutes as Sophia slowed her steps slightly. They flickered on again and the woman returned to her normal speed, wondering how the hell she was doing it in heels. Her phone vibrated but she couldn’t chance looking at it at the moment. Once they hit the fourth flight of stairs down, Sophia turned to the door waiting for them at the bottom of the staircase leading to where the Elevators would be. Opening the door slightly, the woman poked her head through, looking right and then left for any officers running down the halls.

They were in the clear for the moment, but as she opened the door and moved towards the elevator, she prayed that they wouldn’t run into them there. Patiently waiting, the woman didn’t say a word to Zane as they waited. DING! Sophia jolted slightly and looked at the elevator as the doors opened quickly. She huffed out a breath of relief as no one was in it. Stepping inside, she pressed the button to the basement and moved to check her phone, reaching into her clutch a moment as she checked her messages.

30 minutes, that was plenty of time…it had to be. She set a 30 minute timer before placing her phone back in her bag. She snapped it shut, wincing as she finally noticed the pain coming from her feet. ”Fucking shoes!” She hissed as she bent over to slip the straps off her ankles, kicking them away from her as he looked to Zane. ”Bring a gun? If you didn’t I’m sure you could use one of those as a weapon.” She nodded her chin towards the heels on the red and gold carpet. She then patted her thigh lightly, feeling the medium sized knife that rested in its sheath.

Finally, the doors of the elevator opened to reveal a long basement hallway, flickering florescent lights gave the place a spooky feeling as Sophia stepped out, placing her bare feet on the cool concrete. No security? How odd. Did they depend on the cameras that much? It was a rookie mistake, one that she didn’t expect the Biancardi’s to make. Biting her lip, Sophia stepped further down the hallway, her eyes squinting lightly in the uneven lighting. At first, she heard nothing, but then a sound she thought she wouldn’t ever hear a building basement such as this one, barking? Sophia turned her head as she looked to Zane, her eyes reflecting curiosity as she wondered if he heard it too.

It was becoming clearer and clearer as they moved down the hallway. There was other hallways, the basement seemed to be built like some sort of maze with many doors leading to rooms that had who knows what in it. But the door that they were looking for seemed to be down the first hall, the door at the very end. Sophia didn’t waste any time as she reached for the door handle, twisting it and finding that it was locked, as expected. This is what she had brought Mr. Muscle for. Turning to him, she nodded towards the door, the barking having gotten louder and more erratic now as the dogs behind the door seemed to know that people were outside of it. ”Think you can kick this thing down?” She asked, backing out of the way to give the man space. ”The man’s got to be behind this door…I’ve never been in Lacey’s work area…but I know she has dogs that she keeps here.”

Antonio was grateful for his wife and smiled softly as she reassured him gently. Trying to keep on a light expression for more than just her benefit, Toni cleared his throat and watched as the party was being cleared. His eyes saw Emmett step in, trying to diffuse the situation by diverting the pigs attention to the lie he was making up. Toni had to give the kid credit, but it wasn’t gonna work…it never did. The NYPD had it out for him and nothing was going to change that. He was convinced that even after they lock him up or kill him, they won’t stop until every single one of his closest family and friends suffer the same fate. Sighing softly, Toni loosened his tie before looking over to Daniel, who was talking to Sophia and Zane. The man began to walk over to them but before he got there, Sophia and Zane hurried on their way… he didn’t pay attention to where they were heading, assuming they were just helping with clearing the party.

”Its useless, we are going to be questioned. Damn shame, I was having a really great evening.” Antonio said to his nephew before shaking his head. ”Claudia is heading upstairs with the children, and I would have offered for you to join them…but at this point you are just as caught up in all of this as I am.” Toni couldn’t be blamed for such a situation, knowing that Daniel’s childhood was to blame. ”Let’s go help Emmett out before he get’s himself arrested.” With that, Antonio made his way over to Emmett, placing a hand on the man’s shoulders as he smiled widely. ”Now now, I’m sure you just misplaced it. Its so easy to do so you know , I can’t tell you how many cars I’ve had to by after I’ve misplaced mine.” In reality, it was more that he destroyed them on jobs, bullet holes weren’t professional. Antonio knew he wasn’t making any sense, but it was just something he did to throw off the pigs.

He held out his hand to the few officers in front of him and smiled even wider, ”Hi how are ya? Names Antonio but you good gentlemen can call me Toni! Now what has you crashing into my home this time?” His words were pointed as he looked to Emmett for a moment. ”Surely its not for this poor man’s car. You would be more polite to him right?” The man still held out his hand as the Officers simply stared at it.

Clearing his throat, Officer Morgan looked at Antonio’s hand with disgust on his features. Please, no handshakes…we are here on orders of the chief…suspicions that you might be holding a missing officer.” This caused Antonio to laugh. ”Suspicions? Last time i checked you can’t simply barge into ones home on the basis of suspicions?” This caused Officer Morgan to pause for a moment before the man shook his head with a sigh. ”We had an anonymous tip.” This caused Antonio’s eyebrows to raise only slightly but his expression remained neutral. This was certainly new to him but he knew that he had to play along for now, address the matter late in private.

”Well then, I guess I can’t argue with that. Shall we set up this interrogation in the other room? Can we get you anything? Water? Coffee??” Antonio nodded his head, the room now cleared of guests and all that was left was his staff. He waved his hand for them all to follow them into the sitting room where they would all be questioned.

Zane Williams

When Sophia told him to keep up, Zane didn't acknowledge her words with anything other than a glare in her direction. Clearly, she was just trying to throw her weight around when he knew for a fact he could outdo her with no effort at all. He followed closely behind her as they made their way down the hallway. Despite her typical disdain towards him, for reasons he had yet to question her on, he knew his duty and that meant ensuring the safety of his colleagues. When the lights shut off, Zane reached out and placed his fingertips lightly on her shoulder blade to ensure he didn't bump into her or anything equally clumsy. Soon enough, the lights came back on and he immediately pulled his arm back.

When they reached the basement, Zane watched on as Sophia removed her shoes, wondering why she'd bothered to keep the footwear on for as long as she had. Still, he smirked as she swore at the footwear. The woman then asked him if he'd brought his gun and he slowly nodded his head. "I'm at a party in Biancardi Tower. What do you take me for? Of course I've got my gun," he informed her.

As they neared the room believed to be where the officer was being held, Zane could hear the sound of barking dogs, causing him to raise a curious eyebrow. "Hey, now I love animals..." he began. "But if that's what I think it and that psycho-bitch's dogs come the fuck near me..." he trailed off.

Sophia asked him if he could kick the door down and Zane didn't immediately answer. He first tried the handle and assessed the door-frame around the locked door before eventually nodding his head after deciding he could indeed tackle the door. "I'm sure I can," he confirmed. After waiting for her to back away, he repeatedly slammed the base of his foot against the door, next to handle. The man never skipped leg day and took great pride in his physique, so he was able to put a good deal of weight behind his foot. After the door-frame around the lock had been caved in enough, he then slammed his body against the door, using his body weight to seal the deal and force it open. He quickly recovered and grabbed his gun, still conscious about those barking dogs.

"After you, Your Highness," he drily remarked, outstretching his arm to invite her to enter the room first.

After Marianna had shuffled everyone into the elevators and out of the residence, she let out a breath of relief that she didn't realize she had been holding. "At least the party is over," she murmured to herself, glancing around the mostly empty room for a moment. It was nice to be in a quiet place once again. She stepped behind the bar and poured herself a shot of whiskey, downing it. She savored the warmth it gave her, finally calm for the first time that evening. But that calmness was short lived when the elevator doors reopened with Emmett and the police in tow. That was the last thing Mari needed at that moment, and turned to silently escape before anyone could notice her. Unfortunately, Marianna wasn't so lucky.

Just as she was about to slip into another room to take her leave, Mari noticed Toni wave for them to follow him into the sitting room. The officer apparently in charge made her more than uncomfortable, and it took everything in her not to shoot every uniform in the room. She knew she had to be calm, cool, and collected, as though nothing was actually happening underneath the Biancardi's roof other than an innocent party. With that in mind, Mari relaxed her body and gracefully glided across the floor, following the group into the sitting room.

The blonde woman with the stormy blue eyes took as seat on one of the luxurious couches, crossing her legs so the slit on her dress revealed them, but not enough to show off the weapons she was armed with. She hoped the distraction might throw off the officers a bit, and finished the look with a playful, flirtatious expression. Unassuming as she was, everything about Mari was always calculated and strategic. Her eyes followed Emmett as he offered to go first, still muttering about a stolen car she knew wasn't real.

Everleigh obeyed his mother and went to get his younger sister. He was lucky to find her in the crowd of people who were now kind of all over the place getting onto the elevators and out of the building.

"Come on, mom wants us upstairs like yesterday." He wondered where Luci was but that wasn't his problem now. His mom had said she would handle that. He grabs Aquila by the arm, not giving her any room to argue, and leads her upstairs staying clear of as many people as possible. The lights go out for a second and he stumbles on a step. "fuck" he exclaims before catching himself and continuing up.

Once he returned to the room he lets go of Aquila and goes to have a seat in one of the plush chairs in the room. He looks around at everything wondering what he's going to do. "What does mom want us to do just stay here?" He asks more to himself. He remembers the people being ushered out and how everyone seemed to be doing something. He wanted to know what exactly was going on but he wasn't sure when his mom would be back up with Luci and if she would notice him missing. Yeah, that would not yield a good outcome for him. It's best if he just stays put for now. He gets comfortable in the chair laying his head back and chuckles lightly "Some party huh?"
