Realistic or Modern Willow Creek Equestrian Center - Charas

Hi,

I'll re-post the rules here as well as in the other threads, just to keep them in mind.

I've actually managed some rpgs on other platforms and I've come across somethings tat caused quite some conflict, so here are a few things I'd like to note (some of these might be close to the forum rules):

+ It's an equestrian themed roleplay, so I'd be please if it wouldn't venture to far away from the horse theme... whilst it's totally okay that your characters have a live away from horses as well, and whilst we can have them live it in the rpg, I wouldn't be pleased if this ends up to be a crime story or else.

+ This is an open RPG, so nothing too violent or too graphic please... romance is fine with me, same as kissing, just keep the bedroom doors closed please

+ Please don't start picking on other charas outside of the rpg...
If your charas don't get along that's fine, they can actually fight when they want. It's totally okay if you think someone elses chara is a complete moron, just please don't start picking on other charas in the chatter. It has already caused quite some trouble in another rpg and I wouldn't like to have that again...

+ Please don't use your charas to pick on other players (I hope you won't)... so please don't leave a player hanging if your characters are doing sth together and you get in a fight... log in an write please so the rpg doesn't freeze completely.

+ I'd appreciate it if you'd post rather regularly and in not too short posts (so try and make more then 1 sentence at the time...) It's okay if breaks or 1-line-posts happen sometimes, but I'd appreciate it if it wasn't the normal case.

Aiden "Lucky" Weslake​

Age: 23 years
Gender: male

Appearence (pic is okay): Aiden is an average athletic, rather dark black guy. He's physically fit but no muscle man. He's got short, curly black hair that he keeps styled in some mohawk dread style and he's got big, espresso coloured eyes.
Aiden is about 1,80m tall and prefers a practical style of clothing. He goes nowhere without his blue jeans - even wears riding jeans instead of normal english riding pants. He adds unicoloured shirts in bright and poppy colours to his jeans and prefers black accessories.

His normal riding attire contains: blue riding jeans, some normal solid coloured shirt, a black body protector, black gloves, a black, rather athletic styled helmet and some rather rough looking allround leather riding boots.
His competition wear is styled "back to the roots": elegant boots, white riding pants, black hunter jacket, a black leather helmet and white gloves.

Character: Aiden is a rather quiet guy who prefers listening to talking. Some say he gets around with horses better then with people - but that's just hearsay.
He believes in some "code of honor", basically saying that you sould be honest, loyal, relieable, hard working, generous towards those in need, friendly, patient, compassionate, live a frugal lifestyle, be punctual and care about other people as well as about the environment and the animals.
Aiden is truly determined but not competitive - he gives everything to get the perfect round - not to be better then his competitors.

He is very disciplined and keeps a steady daily routine: He gets up at 5.00, gets dressed in some athletic outfit and then starts feeding all the horses. After he's finished he runs into the valley for about 15 min, finds himself a nice place and does Yoga. At around 6.30 he returns to the stable, gets a shower and gets dressed for daily work. He takes a short breakfast at 7.00 am and then starts working. Bedtime is usually at 10 p.m.

Aiden earned his nickname as he survived some bad riding accident as a teenager, leaving him with some brain damage. He has troubles focussing on anything for a longer time - horses do affect him as some kind of external impuls generator, helping him focus on stuff whilst riding.

Strengths: Jester never gives in. He's a temperamental competitior and a meddlesome pensioner.
Weaknesses: Jester gets nervous rather easily. He's not always to be trusted and can get really annoying if he wants treats.
Story: Jester was Aiden's great and successful Hunter/Jumper. For some years they've won practically everything there was to win.
During their 2nd world championship participation they had a pretty bad fall over an obstacle. It left Jester unrideable and Aiden badly hurt. Nevertheless they both made it somehow and whilst Aiden got out of it almost okay, Jester enjoys the rest of his life as a pensioner at the stud.
Except for his leg troubles (front left) he's totally healthy and fine.​

Strengths: Thyme is absolutely relieable. He does everything he can for Aiden.
Weaknesses: Thyme hates the vet and he hates flying.

Story: After Aidens accident he hadn't only had to recover, he also had to keep riding stud horses for a while. The same time of year, Thyme was born on the farm. Aiden took to the colt and started working him by teaching him how to be led by people. Ever since him and the stallion have formed a deep bond.
Aiden has practically completely trained Thyme.

Other Horses: Aiden is a horse trainer so he will ride some NPC-Horses for the job. I'll introduce them ingame and put them in the Orga so you'll be able to look them up.​

Devin Murphy​

Appearence : All of 5'3" (1,6m), Devin's small and lanky. He's fair skinned and very freckly, with big blue eyes and shoulder length brown hair that's sometimes loose, sometimes tied back in a bun. He has very calloused hands and a snub nose. He typically dresses in an eclectic combination of formal and informal attire--t-shirts, hoodies, suit vests, and tailcoats are all staples of his wardrobe, in many combinations. At the barn, he's usually in jeans and beat up paddock boots, and probably half-chaps.

Character: What Devin lacks in size, he makes up for in personality. He's loud and flamboyant and confident, and likes to be the center of attention.

Devin's also very hedonistic and lazy--while he's not opposed to working hard if he feels it's going to benefit him, he's also going to find lounging around and drinking wine more enjoyable.

Relevant family background/NPCs: Devin was adopted when he was fairly older, and spent much of his later childhood and teen years traveling with his adoptive father, a diplomat, through the Middle East and Central Asia.

Strengths: Dereivka's a hardy, sure-footed horse with good sense. She's also incredibly reliable.
Weaknesses: She's very stubborn and irritable, and prone to all sorts of naughtiness just because she can.
Story: Devin's had Dereivka for years, and is the first to tell you all about his mean mare's faults. He would trust her with his life though--and has, on more than one occasion. They've never competed before, and Devin's starting to train her in dressage and eventing more to give her consistent exercise than with any real hopes of competing.

Ezra Talmond​

Appearence (pic is okay): Ezra is a tall (1,85m) man who sits in a wheelchair. He's got sandy bright hair that is styled in dreadlocks, he keeps them out of his face with a bandana. Some say his face looks like a hawk - with really defined features, a big hawk nose and alert eyes.
Ezra has green eyes and some nasty burn scars on his entire left side.

He prefers to wear old army nay clothing, mostly in olive green and sand beige. He never goes anywhere without his dog tags, his dog (see below) and his guitar.

Character: Ezra is an Afghanistan veteran - and as one he's somewhat an army guy who prefers to keep things tidy and regulated. Nevertheless hes an arty and compassionate guy who's paid a high price for his time as a soldier. Ezra is someone to whom people come to talk and get advice. He normally keeps secrets and is very cautious and responsible.

Ezra is a musician so you will see him play guitar whenever he finds the time. He's not a patriot anymore - but he's neither a radical opposition member - merely someone who thinks that politic shuld care less about any high political ambition or aim and more about the people it actually affects.
Ezra never talks about his family, never shows pictures or else - it's to be assumed he's all alone.

Another thing: it's to be assumed he's gay - but he never really seems interested in any form of romance with anyone so there's no way of really knowing.

Job: Ezra is a groom. His main priority is tidying and maintaining the area and the stalls. He also grooms the pensioner horses whose owners don't come by daily.

Strengths: Sanchez is a loyal guardian and passionate companion to his owner. He loves swimming.
Weaknesses: He's mistrustful towards strangers, he hates rain.

Story: After he came hoem from war, Ezra had to fight his deamons. In the process he worked part time for free at a dog shelter where he met Sanchez the puppy. The Schnautzer would not be allowed for breeding due to colour reasons and was therefore dropped at the shelter.
Ezra adopted the dog to give him a 2nd chance in life.
Sanchez is not an assistance dog - he's just a companion to Ezra. Sanchez runs around the stable freely as he does not stray away from the property he protects. He's mistrustful towards new people, however he's only aggressive (majorly growling and barking) during the night or at times when the stable gates (between road and parking lot) are closed.

Special Advice: Do not pet Sanchez unless Ezra has officially allowed you to (he practically introduces you to the dog officially so you're no longer a stranger in Sanchez Eyes.)

Appearence (pic is okay): Standing at 5'4" Rory has an average body type. Her hair is long and brown which goes down to the middle of her back, but her keeps it in a ponytail so it doesn't get in the way. She normally wears a black pair of breeches, paddock boots, and an under armor t-shirt to keep herself cool. However, she has many colors and types of breeches and shirts, but the attire she mainly wears is her favorite.

Character: Growing in a struggling household, she is very outgoing and loves to lend a helping hand. Since no one had helped her, she is determined to help others in hopes someone would do so in return for her. So, being apart of the farm makes her feel like she isn't useless and always makes sure everything is in tip top shape. Rory is also ready to learn, actively listening while she is doing other things and retains instructions well. Even though it might be the first time doing something, she always tries her hardest to make it right the first time. This is always her demise for when it isn't perfect a few times, she gets frustrated and her patience runs out faster and faster the more she messes up.

Relevant family background/NPCs: As a child, Rory grew up around wild horses galloping through her back yard and had always wanted to ride one. However, due to her family's financial issues she had never gotten on the back of one. She is excellent on caring for them since a nearby farm from where she had lived allowed her to help out as a necessary way to earn a bit of cash, but they too didn't let her on the back of their prized stallions. Rory didn't mind for caring for them was enough, however, she had to move away and eventually had found Willow Creek where she was allowed to help around to care for the horses.

Weaknesses: Freaks out when he sees a whip and/or feels spurs

Color: Thunder is a gray color in the body with red speckles all around it. His mane and tail is also red along with having red socks on all four legs which go from hoof up to his knees.

Strengths: Excellent endurance and jumps anything
Weaknesses: Knows how to push other rider's buttons and doesn't listen to anyone but Rory

Appearence (pic is okay): Sven is a slightly stout guy - but he's not plump. He's physically fit even though he doesn't look like it. He's got clear blue eyes and always looks a wee bit curious and meddlesome. He has short to medium, sandy blonde hair, some say it looks like a surfer's hair...He is about 1,90m tall.
Sven is into fashion - so he tries to look his best wherever he goes and whatever he does.

His normal attire contains: black jeans, some normal solid coloured shirts, a black body protector, black gloves, a black, rather athletic styled helmet and some rather rough looking allround leather riding boots.

When it comes to competition, Sven is really into detail, he prefers the classic stlye - so his dress is limited by the idea of the style: grey top hat, black dresscoat, white riding pants, london-brown harness gloves and bicoloured jackboots (black with london brown trim). He also uses a true black woolen driving apron.

Character: Sven likes to be the center of attention... he tends to be impatient and loves action - that's why he's a competitive team marathon driver... Nevertheless he can normally judge the risk he takes really well, so the risk of accidents is relatively low.

He is a bit arty and sometimes a bit sloppy, discipline is not one of his strengths... someone once noted he wouldn't be that successful in driving it he didn't like it so much. He was a rather lousy student and dropped out of college due to lewd behaviour. Unproven rumours say he was into drugs... nevertheless he's clean now.

Relevant family background/NPCs: Sven is a team driver - so he's got 2 grooms to join him during training and competition:

• Annika is Sven's sister and joins his love of carriage driving - even though she doesn't have the courage to be a competitive marathon driver herself. She's a great groom and knows tons about horses and driving...
  
• Lucas is an old friend from school - and by now Annika's long term boyfriend. He's a designer who works from home office.

Strengths: Allegro is a great follower - he's friendly and gets around with basically every other horse. The same goes for team driving: he doesn't mind positioning or team members as long as he's with the team...
Weaknesses: Allegro tends to be a bit lazy - he's difficult to motivate and shouldn't be the leading horse...

Strengths: Lucuius is a good horse... he's plain average but has a good heart and is very loyal to his owner.
Weaknesses: He's plain average... there really isn't anything else to say... except for the fact that he hates the farrier.
Story:
Sven's parents were mistrustful about their sons love for driving since they knew he doesn't like discipline... but when he started to be succesful and had kept the sport for a while, they decided it was time for him to get a pair of driving horses themselves. They stumpled upon the already trained young pair of Allegro and Lucius and bought both of them for their son. A decision that proved right.

Strengths: Bard is a fast and truly competitive horse.
Weaknesses: The gelding is rather nervous and needs a leading horse to guide him. He tends to be careless in the marathon course and needs to be controled gently and carefully by the driver.
Story:
A year after gifting their son the horse team Sven actually got his hands on a sponsored horse: Bard's breeders wanted the gelding to be a competitive horse and found a proper driver in young Sven. Him and the gelding needed a while to bond - in the first years the gelding was merely an extra-horse in case the team couldn't make it to the conmpetition... but over the time Bart has proven himself to be a good team horse.

Strengths: Victor is smart, brave and a natural leader. He knows his way around the competition course and has a good feeling for difficult terrains.
Weaknesses: Victor is not very social - when Sven bought him, we was aggressive towards any other horse (no matter what gender). It took Svend a while to train him and by the time he accepts both mares and geldings. He's still difficult to handle, especially when stallions are nearby.
Story:
For his 18ths birthday and as a reward for graduating school , Svens parents gifted him the Friesian breeding stallion Victor, making their sons team complete. Victor was already 9 and fully trained by the time - the last years him and the entire team, including Svend and his grooms, have bonded... right now they're ready to join the big ones.

Appearance▼

No matter where she goes, Jayla's eccentric appearance makes her stand out in a crowd. Standing at roughly 5’3” at 102 pounds, she is noticeably a bit shorter than the majority of her friends. The most distinct feature of the girl would be her wild bleach-blond hair, which has gone through phases of blue, green, and grey. The girl's hair reaches a little ways over her shoudler and is layered so that shorter strands frame her face. Jayla can be seen with a variety of hairstyles and rarely wears her hair the same way two days in a row. Her hair is most commonly worn wavy or simply brushed and thrown between her shoulders. For special occasions Jayla can be seen with her hair in a bun, milkmaid braid, or fishtail braid. The teenager has a heart-shaped face with pale skin. Her eyes are a light hazel; the color of sunshine falling over an oaktree or the color of the soil in the springtime. Her eyes tend to stand out against her skin tone and are often times framed by long black eyelashes, brown eyeshadow, and eyeliner. A rosy blush can be seen coloring her cheeks, under her eyes, and over her nose. The most prominent attribute of the girl’s face is her lips. Her lips are arguably her favorite characteristic of her body, as they’re fairly large. They're almost always painted in a smile. Jayla has a slim build and for the most part, can be seen wearing dresses, skirts, and cute tops. However, on the rare occasion she’ll wear sweat pants paired with flats and a simple black T-shirt. Overall, Jayla seems to radiate her own confidence and tends to make a statement with her hair and makeup.

Personality▼

Upon first meeting Jayla, it isn’t hard for one to figure out that she’s a friendly and spunky girl. The teenager is a free spirit and has a personality as diversive as her constantly changing hair color. She’s a social butterfly and typically very outspoken and willing to make friends. Jayla is fun to be around; she is constantly making jokes, telling stories, or doing something silly. She can also be loud and has a tendency to talk a lot, which can come off as annoying to some. Furthermore, the girl moves as much as she talks. Jayla is always flailing around, playing with her hair, or tapping her foot.

It takes a while for a person to get to know Jayla on a deep level and get past her fun and quirky exterior. It’s hard to sit down with her and talk about personal things and only close friends know how to navigate that conversation. While she’ll willingly listen to someone about their problems and offer advice, she tends to isolate herself regarding her own problems. The girl rarely tells her friends what she is struggling with which can lead to her hurting herself in the long run and broken relationships. It takes a true friend to bring out the personal and vulnerable side of Jayla. Her secrets are buried deep inside of her heart and she doesn't let anyone see them. Her cheerful exterior hides the damage resulting from being raped.

Titles Won: Kay has been showing since age sixteen and typically partakes in local shows or Arabian competitions. He's won a few champions and reserve championships from regionals and a few top tens from nationals. At age nineteen he won reserve champion at an Arabian Nationals.

Kay can appear intimidating; he's the branches of trees that reach the heavens and the biting air of a mountain. His height and physique can frightening. The male stands at just a little over six feet and features a muscular build. He's well-built as a result of his constant exercising and working out. Blond hair rests on the top of his head and occasionally falls over his forehead. Typically his hair is shaped with gel and spiked up, but on occasion can be seen unstyled. Kay has blue eyes that contradict his sturdy appearance; his eyes are a gentle blue, the color of the sky in the springtime or the shade of the Caribbean waters.

Personality▼

For the most part, Kay is laid-back and nonchalant. He has an easygoing vibe about him that puts others at ease. He makes friends easily and doesn't have trouble talking to others or navigating new friendships. To new friends, he appears friendly, concerned, and genuinely interested in their lives. In conversations, he skillfully balances talking and listening. Kay pours into his relationships, especially his close friendships, and constantly supports, encourages, and helps his friends. He knows how to prioritize the things that are truly important.

However, Kay can easily become self-serving and self-centered if he is tired, anxious, sad, or angry. His focus on others quickly shifts to himself. Furthermore, the boy is stubborn and adamant on getting his way. He'll fight, argue, and persuade until his goal is achieved. This often leads to negative results.
