Evan stepped out of the elevator and entered his lair. It was actually just an abandoned basement that he had found. It was blocked off some time ago and he had just added to it. It contained his suit as well as a workbench and projects that were in the process of construction. He walked up to one of them and took the tarp off. Underneath was a giant cylinder with a greenish yellow rod sticking up out of one end. The cylinder itself was completely smooth and a shiny silver colour. He touched a few buttons on a control pad and some machines whirred to life. He pressed a few more buttons and the cylinder started flattening until it was a disc about three inches thick. He picked up the disc and headed back for the elevator with a pleased grin on his face.

Angel with a Shotgun
After about 3 hours of training, Kestrel was exhausted. She headed home to take a shower and maybe get some homework done.
On the way home, she took a shortcut down an alleyway. Through a chain link fence, she spotted a dog chained up in a yard. Even at this distance, she could see ribs protruding through muddy fut. Kasey parked the truck, and after glancing at the curtains in the house, she climbed over the fence. There was an overturned dog bowl next to the dog. Kasey couldn't identify the breed due to the mud and matted fur. As she got closer the dog whimpered. Her tail was tuck between her legs, and she was shaking. Kasey knelt down and slowly approached the canine, glancing the window every so often. Usually, she would report this to animal control, but the dog needed help right now. It may not be able to wait much longer. Still, she took pictures in her cell phone, to serve as proof. She heard another sad whine. The chained dog was standing over a shallow hole in the dirt. Sitting in the hole were two tiny puppies, both with their eyes closed. They were probably about two weeks old. That settled it. After taking a few more pictures, she stuck the puppies in her hoodie pocket, and undid the chain. She lifted the mother dog over the fence and placed her in the passenger seat, talking softly the whole time. On the way to the vet's office, she called Animal Control and persuaded them to dispatch an officer to meet her at the clinic.

Evan donned a hoodie and left the building. He meandered down the street in an unassuming manner with the disc in his pocket and headed for a nearby bank that was a prime target for a robbery. He entered the building and walked up to an ATM. After inserting his debit card, he glanced around before quickly sliding the disc underneath the counter and putting pressure for a few moments before letting go. The disc stuck there and emitted a click noise. Immediately money started being moved into a few different untraceable accounts before going to his own. After a few seconds there was just over 8 million dollars added to his account. Evan grabbed the disc and then his card before quickly exiting the bank and heading down the sidewalk with a pleased grin on his face. The device had worked perfectly and the test was a complete success. Now for its true purpose to begin.
