Fantasy Warriors of Asador: Protectors of NYC (IC)

Killerclown

Two Thousand Club
The scarlet-clad warlock fell to the ground with a hardy grunt. It had been a long, violent battle, but it finally seemed that you had finally foiled the foul warlock Gravesbane's plan to summon his master to the realm. The leader of your group, a lion beastkin named Leonidas, puts his sword back in his sheath and says to the warlock," Foul one, your evil scheme for this world has failed. Prince Crainthius will not be summoned." The warlock, who at this point bleeding out, looked at the lion with a defiant sneer as he suddenly pulled out what looked like an obsidian dagger out of his robes. The man then raises the dagger into the air and plunges it into his chest. As the man cried out in pain, he suddenly yelled out," Prince Crainthus, I offer my soul to you! In exchange, i want you to strike down my foes so that i may enter into Oblivion with joy and not anger." The Warlock then removes the blade from his chest and finally stops breathing, the blade obviously finishing the job you started. Suddenly, your vision is suddenly obscured by a bright light which seemed to growing brighter by each minute. As the light grew more intense, you hear Leonidas chanting holy prayers in a attempt to dispel the demonic curse the warlock gave you before you died. However, before you could react to these developments, you lose consciousness with the last thing you hear being a demonic laugh.

The Bronx
Leonidas woke up with a groan. The last thing he remembered doing was desperately trying to dispel the demonic curse the foul warlock Gravesbane subjected to him and his companions. Obviously, he had failed. Leonidas was about to cry out in rage at this though when he noticed something about the area he woke in, it was not the Warlock's tower. Looking around it appeared to be an alleyway of a major city. However, it looked extremely off. The first thing he noticed was that it was night time in the city and the area was well illuminated by strange, long looking lamps. As Leonidas struggled to get up to his feet, he managed to get a closer look at the lamp and, to his confusion, saw that it was not lit by fire, but by a glass container containing pure light. Leonidus looked at this container for a few moments then finally said to himself," This city must've invented a type of light magic that allows it to be contained. Now, i must find my companions, no doubt they have been scattered across this city by the Warlock's curse as well. Then, we will try to find out where we are." Before he could do that however, a woman's scream filled the air, Leonidas immediately snarled, some fool no doubt was harassing a young woman. He then immediatly charged towards the source of the scream, forgetting about the task of finding his companions, who were about to come to in the same area.

The sound of metal piercing concrete rang through the air. Wordlessly, a dark-haired woman clad in armor lifted herself off the ground with the help of a large sword that had been impaled through the ground. Lumina blinked a few times before looking around at her current surroundings. Large structures were on both sides of her, so it appeared that she was in a large city. Despite that, she didn't see anyone for the moment, nor did this place seem at all familiar. The architecture was unlike anything she'd ever seen before. For all the time that she had spent adventuring, this place was completely unrecognizable to her. This was why she hated fighting magic types. One never knew just what they'd get up to. Curse that warlock.

...Or rather, he'd cursed them.

A heavy sigh escaped Lumina as she heaved her sword out of the ground, resting it over her shoulder. Wasting time standing in this alley wasn't going to lead to anything productive, so it was about time to move out and see if she could find the others of her party or anything that pointed to where she'd been taken. It was about then that she finally heard the first sign of life in this place. A woman's scream. That generally spelled trouble. The blank expression on the dark-haired woman's face didn't change, but her swift movements despite her heavy armor and sword said it all. The duty of an adventurer called. Time to move.

Alexa
The ground was hard and cold. Wincing she got up "Where am I?" she said to herself. Feeling dizzy and summoning herself up and off the ground, she realised that this wasn't the tower.in fact, she didn't recognize her surroundings at all surrounded by large stone structures and lamps "Pure light? How is that even possible?" The street was fairly well-lit when she managed to get down from one of the structures."The last thing I remember is fighting that warlock so he must've done something. Odds are that I'm cursed. Great." A scream filled the air and she sprung back into life bolting towards the direction of the scream.

Bo groaned, slowly raising herself off the rocky ground. She streched, did a check for her gear, and then looked around. She frowned then, noting the odd structures around herself. She seemed to be in a street, but one of a large, advanced city. She stood up, cracking her back as she moved further into the middle of the street, having noticed a yellow line. Bo knelt down, dragging her fingers against it.
"Just a line? Whats it mean?" Her head shot up as she was bathed in light, something loud having turned a nearby corner. She rolled forward, out of the way of the creature.
"Get off the road, druggie!" Bo stood up, watching it roar further down the street, curious about the two red lights following the beast.
"Must be magic light, it was so bright." She muttered, but was distracted by a screech. Her ears perked up, twitching as she pin pointed where it came from. She didn't have to question long, seeing Leo cross the street running a little aways. She took off, bounding forward on her hooves.

As Leonidas approached the source of the scream, he noticed he was approaching a more "greener" area of the city, judging by the grass and trees and occasional bush. Leonidas then thought to himself," This appears to be some type of park. Not as nice as the one in Cratholme though." He then paused when he saw a row of nine odd looking objects parked right next to each other. He then curiously approached one of the objects and touched the bottom part of it, only to recoil his hand with a gasp of pain, the ruddy thing had burned him. He was about to knock over the strange object in anger when he suddenly heard a raspy voice say," Pay up what you owe us or you will get a beat down, like your boyfriend over here." This statement was followed by the sound of a woman crying and begging to be let go. Leo let out a subtle growl of anger and slowly stalked over to where he heard the voice.

He walked up to what looked like a slab of rock that was holding two big metal poles with what appeared to be holding baskets on them. What really grabbed his attention however, were the people standing on the slab. There were nine men standing in a circle around a woman and the prone form of a man. Leo immediately hid behind a nearby tree and took a closer look at the men. They appeared to be members of some kind of guild, due to there matching uniforms, which was comprised of odd, blue looking leggings, a white shirt and what appeared to be a black, leather coat. As he took a closer looking at the men, he could make out a emblem of a rabid-looking Coyote on their jackets which read, "Raging Coyotes MC". Before Leo could ponder what MC meant, the leader of the group, a significantly shorter man wearing what appeared to be dark eye-ware smoking a cigarette approached the woman and said to her in that same raspy voice while blowing smoke in her face," For the last time b..., pay up or else." He then violently shoved the woman, causing her to fall down to the ground.

Leo had seen enough. With a roar of anger, he came out of his hiding spot and charged towards the gathered group of thugs. The Bikers, who were startled by the sudden loud noise, turned around and immediately gaped in horror at the heavily armored lion man approaching them. When he got close enough, he stopped his charge and said to them in a voice that had a hint of a growl in it," Leave this woman alone, you knaves, or else." The bikers said nothing, they were too afraid to even comprehend what this freak in front of them just said. Suddenly, a bald, bulky biker pulled out a pistol and started to fire at Leo, with the rest of the gang shortly following. Leo started to sprint, his naturally high stamina saving him from being turned into Swiss Cheese. He then started to chant a prayer, a pure ball of light forming in his hands as he did. He then flung the ball at one of the bikers, who was blinded by the light. As he let out a scream of pain, Leo took the opportunity to punch him in the face, knocking him out. After this, Leo continued to sprint in circles, trying to avoid the bullets, hoping that his companions would show up from all the noise that the bikers were making.

Alexa
"There seems to be fighting nearby she muttered to herself" she picked up her pace going from a brisk walk to a feverish sprint. Turning the corner she noticed one of her comrades which was being attacked by some men. She quickly drew her bow loading in three arrows and firing them into the guy with the gun "Leonadis!" she shouts. One of the bandits spun around with a knife but was struck by her bow to the face. Picking up the dropped knife she launched it into the palm of another bandit."What happened here? Whos that lady?"

Leo turned around when he heard the voice and smiled slightly when he saw Alexa. This smile was cut short when he heard a scream of pain and saw that one of the thugs was impaled on the hand with a knife. He also saw that the thug that shot at him in the first place was riddled by arrows, no doubt by Alexa. Leo then said to her," Lady Alexa, good to see you. This vile scum have been extorting this young lady here and I decided to bring them to justice." He suddenly let out a row of pain when a other biker slashed at him with a pocketknife, having run out of bullets, cutting Leo slightly on the face. Leo then turned towards the man and slashed out at him with a broadsword, cutting off his hand. As the man fell to the floor crying in pain, Leo yelled to Alexa," Where are the others?"

Lumina slammed the flat of her sword into one of the men from behind, her strength allowing her to do the motion one-handed. It was entirely possible that such a strike would still be deadly, but if those strange projectiles dealt serious damage then it wouldn't be safe to allow them to continue firing. With her other hand, she grabbed one of the men and slammed him into the ground with force so monstrous his nose had been flattened. So they'd been extorting the woman, and likely had beaten up the one man who wasn't a part of this Raging Coyotes guild. Making full use of the element of surprise to get one more sword swing in, she knocked one of the men entirely off his feet.

"Here," she responded to Leonidas plainly.

Bo kept a fast pace as she ran, growing closer to the screams of pain. No doubt her comrades commanding the fight. She slid past a building, seeing a greener area of the city, as well as a group of figures, some she recognised. Swinging her Lute from her back, she grinned as she rushed forward, her hands expertly exploring the strings as a tune rang out. Suddenly, she stopped, slamming her hoof down and pointing to a man she didn't recognise. Her voice turned dark as she weaved her vocal magic.
"There is nothing here for you, not with you lily livered, spineless nature." The man froze, shaking in fear. Bo, back on her lute made a face, grinning.
"Boo!" The thug turned and ran, dropping anything he had to get away faster. Bo snickered, gauging how her teammates were doing in the battle themselves.
