  The War of the Lions is fought between the Order of the Northern Sky Knights of Duke Larg under the banner of the White Lion, and the Order of the Southern Sky Knights of Duke Goltanna under the banner of the Black Lion. King Ondoria Atkascha III died due to the Black Death and his heir, Prince Orinus, is just two years old.
  
  
  One of the main reasons behind the War is the rift between Queen Louveria and the nobles of Ivalice. Queen Louveria is regarded as a power-mad queen who desires her offspring on the throne so that she may rule the kingdom. The Council of Nobles, out to stop her from asserting influence onto the kingdom, appoints Duke Goltanna as their preferred candidate for the regency.
  
  
  Unknown to others, The War was engineered by the Church of Glabados so that it may take center stage after both sides are weakened to exhaustion. The High Confessor Marcel Funebris, wishing for the Church to gain power over the land, supported both sides secretly and assisted in their plots for the throne. The Church planned to destroy the two Lions from the inside and gain control over Ivalice.
  
  
  The War's decisive battle is the Battle of Fort Besselat, in which Ramza Beoulve, a heretic hunted by the Church, intervenes by opening the garrison's sluice, bringing the battle to an indecisive halt. Mossfungus is released into the air by one of the Knights Templar, severely weakening both sides. In the confusion, both Dukes are murdered by their respective traitors: Larg by Dycedarg Beoulve and Goltanna by Delita Heiral. In order to not raise a suspicion against him, Delita blamed the murder of Duke Goltanna to Cidolfus Orlandeau, and ordered his execution. But before the execution, Orlandeau, also known as Thunder God Cid, managed to free himself and went on hiding. As originally planned, the Church offers mediators. Despite the loss of both Order's leaders, their armies are still strong and refuse the idea.
  
  
  With the two sides crippled, the War comes to an end. In lack of a leader; with the two dukes killed, Queen Louveria imprisoned in Fort Besselat, High Confessor Funebris murdered, Dycedarg slain, and Orlandeau missing and believed dead, Delita Heiral exploits the situation by claiming he rescued Princess Ovelia, marrying her to become King of all Ivalice.

  This story set 50 years after the war. The current King, Delita Heiral, managed to bring peace to all Ivalice, but the seed of war is not fully extinguished. Few notable group are: Corpse Brigade, Church of Glabados' Templar Knights, and Black Cross Pirates.
  
  
  Corpse Brigade, a band of vigilante and ragtag, once a revolutionary group consisted of peasant and soldiers that was not paid. They fought for the freedom of peasants, which were deemed have a lower social structure than Nobles. It was led by Wiegraf Folles, before succeeded by his sister, Milleuda Folles
  
  
  Templar Knights, an armed branch of the Church of Glabados led by Folmarv Tengille, which was killed in the war. The church created this group as their tool to hunt heretic, and also to stir unrest and chaos during the War of the Lions. Most of the member came from noble family. There can only be 12 Knight at the same time. During the climax of the war, most of them were killed or declared missing. The only remaining knights are Barmitz, Carrudine, Ryunet, Alfruedo, and it's current leader, Meliadoul Tengille.
  
  
  Black Cross Pirate, a band of pirates that roam around Bugross Sea, and have their headquarters at a cave near Port City of Warjilis. These notorious pirates targets merchant vessel and small fleets that make port on Warjilis.
  
  
  There were also few educational institutions within Ivalice. Most noticeable institutions are:
  
  
  Eagrose Preparatory Akademy, school intended for nobles and aristocrats. It is located on Eagrose Castle, capital of Gallione.
  
  
  Royal Akademy for the Magickal Arts and Royal Military Akademy. It is located on Gariland, a city in Gallione Dukedom.

  As stated in the Setting tab, the RP start around 50 years after the end of War of the Lions. You could become one of Corpse Brigade, Black Cross Pirates, Cadets at the academy, or member of one of the noble houses. As for the Templar Knights, I'll PM some of the interested member to be the member of it.
