Occupation: Formerly the youngest princess of the royal family. Now warrior, lumberjack and weaponsmith.

Primary/Trademark weapon: A black katana. Nothing super special.

Secondary weapons: Wakazashi short sword and a summonable great hammer for heavy duty work or attacks.

Skills: Weaponsmithing, cooking, butchering, general household duties, swordfighting, as a demon she can easily kill humans with her bare hands, dark magic

Personality: Originally, she was sweet and naive, yet still resilient. But after the betrayal she suffered, she looks down on humans. Only to other demons does she show the kindness she had in her human life. She is the kind to harm humans just because they irritated her. When hungry, she first "plays with her food".

Background: Kokoru was formerly known as Akazulia Shikurea of Izarya, 3rd princess of the Izaryan royal family. Her family paid little attention to her and she was mostly raised by the workers in the palace. She learned many skills from them such as weaponsmithing from the weaponsmith, household chores from the maids, cooking from the kitchen staff and swordfighting from an amicable knight. Kokoru thought she had a decent relationship to her parents and siblings, but the feeling wasn't mutual, at least regarding her siblings. They only acted nice to her to get her to do stuff for them. After the war in the nation had raged for over a year, the court mages had the idea to summon a great creature to save Izarya. For the summoning they needed sacrifices. The family unanimously agreed to sacrifice Akazulia/Kokoru. They didn't even give her a choice. On the day of the sacrifice, she was bound and hung by her feet over a summoning circle. She didn't see who killed her. She only noticed a blade strike the back of her neck and then she "fell" to the ground. A voice asked her if she wanted to live, to which she said yes. The voice then said she would be reborn as a demon. Before her consciousness slipped away, she told the voice that she was fine with it. Thereafter, she awoke in a green meadow wearing a red kimono. As she stood up, she felt taller. She also felt long curled horns growing out from each side of her head. Her teeth were sharp. Upon looking around, she saw there were others like her.

Motivation for vengeance: Was betrayed by her family, so naturally she wants to kill the royal family of Izarya.

Name: Higamiya Tosashi
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Appearance: Similar to pic, but with short boney horns, and sharp teeth.
Clothing: Tosashi still wears the ceremonial clothing of his sect he was sacrificed in, even though the huge ribbon coat tails and fake fur tail are totally impractical.
Occupation: Martial arts student, now warrior and low level trainer.
Primary/Trademark weapon: A bo staff
Secondary weapons: None
Skills : Basic first aid, bojustu, unarmed martial arts, qi control, increased strength, increased toughness, heat resistance.
Heat Punch: By concentrating his qi into his fist he raises its temperature until it turns burning hot and punches his target.
Weaknesses: Apathic, more likely to follow someone else than take charge, defeatist, low self-worth.
Alignment: Lawful neutral
Personality: Having spent most of his life following the examples/order of higher ranking students and masters Tosashi is more of a follower of a leader and tends to go along with what others say. Despite that he rarely goes all out no matter what he is doing and prefers to just loaf around and relax in his free time.
Likes: Training, sleeping, the sun
Dislikes: Bullies, warmongers, arrogance, the cold
Background: Tosashi was a student of a small martial arts sect and while he didn't have the most talent or worked the hardest he did well enough to not get kicked out. When the war broke out he expected that the students would be sent out to fight, but only those who had graduated were allowed to help their country. He didn't really care though since while the training was hard he at least didn't have to risk his life or kill anyone.

Eventually the war went south and the sect basically ended up under siege. Since the enemy's army had much greater numbers and the sect didn't have enough food for everyone the leaders chose for drastic measures. A tournament would be held and the 10% weakest students of each rank would be sacrificed in order to summon help.

Surprising no one, not even himself, Tosashi was among those sacrificed but he got the option to be reborn in another world. While he is obviously not happy about the whole thing he doesn't blame anyone for what happened since if he had to fight he would have been killed anyway.
Motivation for vengeance: Tosashi doesn't blame his sect for killing him, but will go after bullies, murderers and warmongers since those kind of people made the situation bad enough that the sacrifices were necessary in the first place.

Appearance

He is an intimidating figure, standing near 8’ tall as a demon. His human form was largely similar, minus the horns and tattoos, and his hair was brown and his skin more fair. His current Demon form also has flaming orange eyes that flare up in actual flames when he is angered.
Clothing: An Obsidian black kimono with flaming orange and red highlights. Beneath that, he wears loose black trousers.
Occupation: Former knight of the kingdom, now a warrior and low level general of the demon army
Primary/Trademark weapon: A bastard sword with runic inscriptions on the blade
Secondary weapons: Katana, a war scythe, a pair of kunai
Skills: Naturally skilled in martial combat, strong and intimidating, can beat down a trained human warrior with his bare hands, basic regeneration, fire/heat resistance, fire magic
Flaming Strike: Can coat his weapons in flames, or create weapons of pure fire, dealing burning pain to the target and other enemies around them.
Weaknesses: Blinded by rage, is weakened by cold temperatures and water, knows little else other than combat and killing, relies on his strength too much
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (No tendency)
Personality: Though while he was known as Derrick he was a kind, benevolent, and patient knight, following every tenet of the code with exactness and enthusiasm, as Yamato he is brash and unruly, with little too no patience. He is a “less talk, more action” kind of guy and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. But he still has that hint of kindness and benevolence from his human years.

Background: Yamato was born as Derrick Broadsword to a knight and his dame, and was taught nearly from birth the art of combat and the code of chivalry. He grew to love the life of a knight, and quickly rose up through the ranks. Eventually he was recruited by the noble family as a personal guard for them, which offer he accepted, also training a young princess by the name of Akazulia in secret. Even though he was released from his duties at the royal house a few years later he still kept in touch with the young princess. However, shortly after he left the royal house he was called up in an important battle against a rivaling kingdom, where he suffered many grievous injuries and was forced to retire. Though the knights gave him an honorable discharge, a few months later the knights of Izarya grew desperate to win the war, and so unanimously chose Derrick as the sacrifice to summon the great creature, considering he was of no use to them anymore. Hurt and betrayed by the knights, Derrick’s last words before being slain at the sacrificial altar were “May God cause then to suffer the same cruel fate I receive today.”
Hearing a voice as the blade was plunged into him, Derrick instantly accepted its offer, and was reborn as Yamato Yamagawa, a fierce demon warrior. His new body having been forged from the undying flames of the demon realms and the magma of the volcano overlooking the human-demon realm, he became uniquely suited to take down the knights who had betrayed him, and any other humans who may oppose him.
Motivation for vengeance: His knightly order turned on him in his greatest time of need. Though he is generally benevolent, he wants nothing more than to see the knights destroyed.
Servants/Companions: Valkis Youganis, an elemental from the Plane of Fire bound to Yamato through an oath and ritual. (He’s not Yamato’s companion now, but he will end up being so later on, I’m just putting it in the sheet now so I don’t forget about it)

Appearance: Manaka stands at 5'5. Her demon appearance doesn't change much from her human appearance other than the horns, red eyes and a streak of red across her bangs.
Clothing: A sleeveless dress and red skirt topped with a coat with a sash wrapped around her hips.
Occupation: alchemist and doctor
Primary/Trademark weapon: Retractable blades made from her own blood.
Secondary weapons: a sturdy black umbrella, which she normally use to protect herself from direct sunlight.
Skills: alchemy, enhanced regeneration, surgery, blood magic
Weaknesses: lacks combat experience, direct sunlight weakens her

Personality: manipulative and sadistic, Manaka takes enjoyment at controlling other people. She can be quite seductive if she wants to and wouldn't hesitate to use various means to reach her goal. Despite her wicked personality, she's a honest individual.
Likes: blood, soap opera, perfume, alcohol
Dislikes: sunlight, lies, gore
Background:
It's all started because she was born from the country that was currently invading. Growing up in a kingdom that constantly butt head with her homeland wasn't easy, but she grew a thick skin and learned how to handle the insults thrown her way. Not only that but she made it up the societal ladder through her skills as an alchemist and well-timed sweet talks here and there.

She was working her way up as a researcher in the academy when the war began. Worse, multiple poisoning accidents occured in several vital events. She didn't know why and how but she was accused to be the one who did the poisoning, a spy and assassin. She couldn't believe it, but it's like everything, the proofs, the judges, the system were rigged against her. Though rather than execution, the court decided her punishment would be to become the sacrifice for the summoning.
Motivation for vengeance: she was framed. She would make sure every single person who was involved in her sacrifice would suffer.

  Skills: His swordsmanship has not deteriorated since his transformation; once a lord, he still is experienced with any task that a governing entity would encounter when reigning over a dukedom; the knowledge and experience of proper manners of the nobility have been drilled in to him since childhood; his crave for books continues to rage, luckily his expertise in many languages has not disappeared
  
  Weaknesses: His arrogance remains even while he is aware of it; he loathes himself for having hurt and endangered his own son;

  Personality: His personality drastically changed once he found out the truth, and which grave mistakes he had done. Now all that remains of his personality, is his willingness to do everything to reach his son or said corpse. Whatever it may be, he will do everything to accomplish said goal. And while that remains true in any situation, he still possess a feeling of duty towards whomever he works with, as long as it not interferes with his single purpose. Aside from that, he still takes great joy, to his dismay, as he does not think he is allowed such feelings until he has found Tarun, in reading books. Yet despite all this his way of thinking and his actions still display his constant thinking of being superior to most others, which, while he does identify as arrogant, Ajen is incapable of fully getting rid of as that it does not interfere in his decision process.

• Background:
  Ajen's Tale is a tragedy, for his son that is. One he is himself fully responsible for. His tale is by no means an unusual one, the son of a duke of Izarya forced into an arranged marriage. Alas, a rarer element of this story is the lack of interest in any way from Ajen towards his marriage partner as well as her death during his son's, Tarun's, birth. He simply did not care. Neither when he had to marry her nor when she met her demise. All he did was act out of a feeling of duty, bound to his house and forced to continue his lineage. For that reason, he did not partake in a substantial way in Tarun's life. Any time Tarun attempted a interaction with his father, Ajen dismissed him or even threw him out, since all his son did was waste his precious time, time he could spent on better governing his fief as was his duty. And yet, over time throwing his son out seemed to become a habit, one he enjoyed to a certain degree. Ajen was woefully unaware of the consequences his actions would have, he simply could not understand, the effect his constant rejection had on his own flesh and blood. Especially since he only viewed Tarun's action as an intentional annoyance every now and then, not as a desperate cry for affection. It would take, the help of the ones who would end his life, for him to truly start grasping, how he had failed.
  
  For only in his last moments, did these fools laugh at him for not understanding that his son had suffered, not only under Ajen's negliecence but also under their treatment, they did not view him as a legitimate heir, since Ajen had neglected him. It was careless of them however to make Ajen realize, how he had failed his single greatest duty as a father: caring for his child. While his demise was certain, he still managed to strike some of his relatives down, all while ordering his most loyal guards to flee and escort Tarun to a safe place. In his last moments, before he had fully bleed out, he uttered one last sentence, regretting especially that his son could never hear it: "I failed you."
  
  But by a miracle it seemed a greater being granted him another chance, one he would not decline. As such he now has but a single mission: Finding his son and eliminating any threats that remain to Tarun's life. And if he had perished, so shall all, that were involved in his death. It was by no means an easy goal, certainly his relatives were not that great of a threat, but their co-conspirator was obvious, without the king of Izarya's assistance, they could have never dreamed nor dared to get away with their actions. And as such, the task before him was a gigantic one.

  Personality: Nyx is a strange man, for he mimics a cat in both his fighting style and regular mannerisms, he also possesses an odd trait of scratching his head hard when noticing something or in deep thought. A clear hedonistic side to him can be seen whenever he is fighting someone. For he derives pleasure from a good fight, and his honor or rather pride doesn't let him allow others to help him during said good fights, for it spoils the fun. He lives by closely following two codes "There is no dishonorable way to fight, the only way to lose honor in a fight is overwhelming the other side with numbers." and "In this world, you treat others as they treat you. Those that have treated me with kindness, I will repay that kindness tenfold. And those who treat me with injustice, that hurt my friends, that hunt me down, I shall repay that injustice thousand times over."

• Background:
  Nyx formerly known as Hans lived his life in extreme poverty in some slums from times immemorial, stealing and killing people became his routine even more so as the town he lived in was called a Frontier for the Izarya and was situated right by the borders with the invading country so skirmishes between both forces were a given.
  Growing up wasn’t easy but he perfected the trade of killing he took great inspiration from the stray cats, their agile and silent ways were something he needed to make his.
  So day after day he mimicked them from their movements and behavior to the tiniest details, he even made himself a fake tail that he sewn into his clothes.
  
  Because of his odd behavior and ability to kill he was taken into an organization run by a few noblemen from the city.
  Their task was simply to assassinate anyone that the nobles saw unfit, of course for the right price.
  Having been paired with a few throwing daggers and a pair of kukri knives Hans sent many people to smell roses from down under.
  At some point, he began to gather a posse, or should I say like-minded people under his wings, he taught them well for only he had a bigger kill count than them in the organization.
  
  But as the saying goes “Destiny can go either way.” Hans and his posse were given the biggest mission yet to assassinate a group of mages from the opposing nation who supposedly sneaked into the city and were preparing something vile.
  Well, let's just say the mission was an easy one way too easy, for when they infiltrated the building and killed the man surrounding the circle, Hans checked the men who were killed at that moment he knew it was a trap, for they were people from the slums that he knew, and as he was about to tell his men to scatter he was filled with crossbow bolts like a damn porcupine, his strength leaving him slowly he turned around and saw the faces of his posse all thirty of them holding small crossbows and all were aimed at him.
  The only words that left his mouth at that moment were “F*ck. How dare you do this to me? I taught you. I raised you. I risked my life together with you…..” Hans didn't even have time to end his dying rant for his best students began stabbing him with their shortswords.
  
  As he laid there in his last moments of consciousness before death would take hold of him he heard a voice, IT asked if he wanted to live, he said yes, IT asked if he was okay with becoming a demon, he said it didn’t matter as long as he could get his revenge and be alive.
  Then his eyes closed for what he thought was the last time, but he opened them once more and he found himself on some meadow.
  
  Motivation for vengeance: Betrayed by the organization that trained him and his own men, now he just wants to watch them die a death similar to his.

Skills: Strategist, Combat prowess, Magically proficient, Flight (in his demon form), Negotiation expert. In his new form he has the power to draw out magical contracts that are always followed through on both sides. When it comes to those who are weak willed, he can hypnotize them (does not work on other demons or children).

Weaknesses: Low tolerance for stupidity, Has a hard time accepting when there is someone smarter than he is (except of certain circumstances or areas), Refuses to eat human flesh, Let’s his curiosity get the better of him, Prone to arrogance during certain circumstances.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Personality: Arturo used to be caring toward others and served his military faithfully. Now though, he is far more self-serving. He believes that his needs should come first and that those who do not believe that are in need of…convincing. He has respect for those that fight until the end. He will not hesitate to kill those he views as cowards or those that feel being born into a certain circumstance means that they are earned something. He tries to avoid condescension where he can and is very goal oriented. He is not above sympathy in some cases. He also believes that you should never dismiss someone until you’ve at least heard what they have to say…unless experience proves otherwise. When he finds someone attractive, he will not hesitate to flirt with them.

Background: When he was a human, he was in the military as one of the top soldiers for his country. He was viewed as a kind and loyal man, coming from a minor noble house and seen by many as a person who’d likely end up serving directly under the king. His on-the-fly thinking and well thought out strategies had one many battles for his unit. He came from a minor noble house and was thus able to gain access to resources that others would not, hence his talents in certain areas. He had many friends and even a lover. He was happy until a young man transferred into his unit. The man came from a major noble family and believed that the world owed him everything. No matter what was done to him, the punishments, the threats, the reprimands, the young noble was obstinate. While it was not well known to others, the in the military knew that he actually was disowned by his family for his actions. That he was drafted into the military as punishment and had no money or power that he had boasted. Yet he was told by his superiors that he was to be the sacrifice and thus had to be put up with until the time. Like many times where he or someone else had offered a solution, many of the higher ups ignored advice, thinking that someone who didn’t have the same standing as them had no idea, often claiming that he should stick to matters not outside his purview. The soldier understood the importance of following protocol but his unit was on the verge of killing the noble themselves. The rest of the unit hated the noble and the noble blamed the soldier for his circumstance. As the time for the ceremony approached the young noble was brought forward, albeit he was struggling and panicking, aware of what was about to happen. He got free of the men that held him and grabbed one of their swords. The soldier, attempting to save one of the mages casting the spell, took the hit and would soon die. The noble ran as everyone stood in shock over what happened. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, they began the spell. The soldier was fading and soon heard a voice. He wanted revenge. He wanted to force the man to suffer after all that he’d put others through. He wanted to hurt the commanders for their idiocy in not just locking the noble up. When he awoke, he was in a new place and had a new body. He chose a new name for himself… Arturo Plateado
