Order of the Angels
The order of the angels is an impartial council of Archangels who oversee the goings of the underworld on the mortal plane. They send out lesser angels to enforce the angelic contract and dole out punishments when necessary.

Angelic Contract
A contract drawn up by the Order of the Angels and the Underworld to maintain a peaceful coexistence with humans. The OA enforces this contract and ensures that the species of the underworld do not violate their terms. If violated, the punishment varies based on the severity and repetition of the crime. The punishments range from something as simple as service, to as severe as execution.

Vampire Lore

Vampire Clans

Lasombra

The oldest and by far largest clan of the three vampiric clans. Their reach is worldwide, but they're headquartered in New York City. Lasombra's view of humankind is the most favorable of the three main clans. They act as an advocate for the human race, putting boundaries on how far the other clans may go. They consider themselves the leader of the three clans, or at least the role model. They have the most members in the Vampiric Council.

Vieru
Vieru is the most docile of the three clans. They value their independence, both from humans and vampires alike. The Vieru clan regards themselves for their sophistication and worldliness, by far the most extravagant in taste and expectations. They are the least in touch with their vampiric nature; you would be hard pressed to find one of their members feeding directly from a human body.

Assur
The Assur clan is the most innate and natural vampiric clan. They pride themselves on their instinct and ability to feed to an excess. Members from this clan tend to be overly indulgent and impulsive. They have a very low regard towards human lives, treating them as livestock to an extent. Members of the Assur clan can typically be found in the dark corners of New York City, making their money in the drug trade, organized crime or x-rated content. They have a strained relationship with the other clans, and are usually the first to jump to violence.

King and Queen

Vampires are very much indeed considered fae due to their origins. Titania, Goddess and Queen of Fairies, is a curious little goddess. She liked to experiment and test the limits of human flesh, as she walked amongst the mortals. She spotted a man, dying from hunger and thirst and knelt down beside him, piercing through her flesh and feeding him her blood. He sank his teeth into her arms and pulled at her gash until he was rejuvenated and...reborn.

He is considered the King of Vampires, continuing on with his journey in search of a wife. A handmaiden in Ancient Egypt. He loved her fiercely, passionately, and...eternally. Before her own Turning, they conceived a child who was the first half-vampire to ever live. The King and Queen were blessed with a healthy baby and they loved their family. They ruled the vampires, far and wide, and conquered many Empires. They ruled for many centuries, nearly a millennium, over the ancient lands of history, until a group of vampires betrayed them, and locked them away in Egyptian tombs.

As to what happened with their child, no one knows.

The group of vampires soon joined together and formed what is now known as the Council. They rebelled against their own Royals, Mother and Father of the Night Children, and wanted absolute control over their people, supernaturals, and humans. As well as the relation between humans and supernatural.

They either slaughtered or enslaved those who worked directly under the Royals, torturing each for information that no one gave.

Vampiric Council:

An impartial council made up of the oldest and most established Vampires on Earth. The members each claim backgrounds to the three main clans, offering a variety of viewpoints, ideals and values. They answer directly to the Order of the Angels and oversee all vampires in the world, either rouge or clan affiliated, to ensure that they adhere to the angelic contract.

Not only do they directly oversee all vampires, ensuring every vampire that ever existed or exists is identified and carried around I.D, they try to ensure there is order between each supernatural class. They hold great influence over human governments and law.

Yet, oddly, they have been slowly insisting that they start identifying all fae, specifically fairies. Any undocumented fairy is to be punished and sent to the Council for review. The Council is located in the Vatican.

Illegally Turned vampires are to be immediately reported and sent to the Council to be identified and correctly sorted into a clan. If a rogue vampire causes too much distress amongst the humans, they are to be punished. There is the option of either execution or being sent to the Coven, to serve highly esteemed families of witches. Either as a glorified butler or indentured bodyguard.

The killing of humans is highly illegal. When a vampire drinks a human dry, only a pile of dust is left behind, along with their skeleton.

The Council frowns upon the drinking of humans, but is overall okay with it if consensual. They simply do not want the Order nor human governments to become too involved in their affairs, plus desire absolute control over their kind. A large reason why most of the vampires dislike and disapprove the Council, wishing to go back to times when the Royals were awake.

Vampire Facts
- Vampires can ingest food and drink, but gain no nutritional value from it.
- All vampires commonly hold supernatural abilities that surpass human limits. Such as speed, strength, and heightened senses.
- All vampires are instinctively born from a Gift that is based off of their personality or hobbies. They're mostly mental, but there are a few that posses physical and incredible Gifts.
- Male vampires are capable of conceiving a child with living supernatural creatures, but female vampires are barren.
- Vampires are possessive by nature, by influence of the Royals.
- Upon feeling highly intense emotions, especially negative, their pupils grow to slits and their nails instinctively sharpen. When feeling highly intense emotions, especially positive, their pupils become dilated. One can easily associate a vampire with a feline.
- Blood lust is difficult for every vampire, but depending on their age or training, it's something that can be controlled. Human blood is the closest a vampire may have to pleasure when drinking or consuming. Some vampires are aware of their blood lust, thus prefer to go to the Black Market to purchase blood packs, afraid of draining a human. The most delicious of blood are a fae's blood, as they have the closest association to Titania. It is said that vampires hunt humans and fae as an instinctive way to be close to their roots. The most disgusting would be a demon's blood, as it is too acidic due to sulfur.
- Upon entering a loving or romantic relationship, the way vampires show their affection is through biting. Upon biting and drinking from their lover's blood, they are claiming them as their own. Hormones or toxins enter their blood stream, and any vampire who takes in the lover's scent will be able to recognize a warning that is placed on their blood.
- If one is Turned by the King or Queen, they are immediately cured of their blood lust. The King, due to directly tasting Titania's blood, his thirst is naturally quenched. He hunts human and animals for fun and game.
- Silver is extremely poisonous for vampires.
- When feeding on humans specifically, vampires have the ability to release a toxin located in the saliva into the bloodstream, that may cause slight memory loss and haziness for the human. Keeping their existence a general secret.

Vampire Gifts

- Theo:
Animal Manipulation. Theodore can influence any mammal to do his bidding. He cannot speak with them directly, but by simple mental commands, can control them to do things normally unthought of. He cannot control more than a handful of animals at any given time. Most animals are drawn to him or calm when interacting with him. His gift also has a positive impact on his charisma with Werewolves. There is an unexplainable level trust they feel towards the vampire.
- Mizuki: Blood Manipulation. It takes great concentration and she hasn't had much practice, but she can control people's limbs or bodies with the flow of their blood. So far, she can lock limbs and stop complete movement of a handful of people at the same time. She hasn't explored what else she can do.
- Samantha: Illusion. With her mind, she can force anyone to see anything she wishes. Not herself, though, only their environments.
- Charlotte: All Seeing Eye. She has a near 360º field of vision around herself, save for a small blind spot at the back of her neck above the first thoracic vertebra. Her vision can penetrate almost any object, allowing her to see through walls, peer underground, or even examine the contents of a person's body. Though, this only happens when she actively activates her Gift, and she cannot hold it for more than an hour. Over the years, she has trained her eye to be able to see the equivalent of one acre of land. She is thankful for her Gift, as she uses it for Maximus' benefit only.
- Francis: Presence Erasure. No matter the creature's abilities or the creature, he can complete erase his presence, scent, physicality from the person in front of him or around him. If used for an extended amount of time, he gets migraines and would need to rest for days on end.
- Maximus: Unknown. There have been many rumors flying around about Maximus' Gift, ranging between the possession of multiple gifts to no gifts at all, to a Gift powerful enough to rival the King of Vampires himself. Some say he is blessed by Titania, some say cursed by demons. Not even Charlotte knows what his gift is.
- Celeste: Shapeshift. Similar to Samantha, she can manipulate her victims to see whatever she wishes; however, only with her own appearance giving the illusion that she can shapeshift.
- King and Queen of Night Children: Gifts Unknown.

Fairy Facts

- All fairies are created from Titania, but most fairies have not seen the goddess, thus she is said to be mostly a rumor.
- All fairies are born directly from flowers. She molds her little ones and plants them in tiny flower buds, until they sprout. Their personality and the shape of their wings is directly related to the flora and fauna they were born into. Some may have butterfly wings, moth wings, bee wings, dragonfly wings, etc.
- After a fairy is born, they grow to be of average, human size. The tallest fairy ever reported is 5'6.
- Fairies are all drawn to shiny objects, and a way they express their admiration and affection is to gift their loved ones with shiny objects they find.
- Fairies are able to directly communicate with all animals, and understand their speech.
- Fairies are able to hide their wings directly against their skin. The wings lay over the arms and shoulders, and to the average human they mostly look like the markings or tattoos of the veins on wings. Fairies prefer to keep human attention away from them.
- Fairies are harmed by silver.

Witch Facts

- All witches attend schools, academies, and even higher education in their field. None go to a human school.
- Necromancy is highly illegal within the Coven, as it is viewed as a taboo art. Witches, in general, view Necromancers with disgust. Necromancer do not use wands, though. They use flutes.
- All witches are to summon their own familiars at the age of eighteen.
- Witch families, especially families of prestigious names, work with a Matriarch. Male witches are called Lords and are present to serve and assist their Matriarchs.
- All witches adhere to the rules of their Coven, but overall are directly ruled by the Matriarchs of each family, as they have the most influence and are capable of changing laws.

Angel Lore

Lesser angels who serve the Order do not have a formed consciousness when in the heavens. They take the form of pure divine energy, only transformed into human-like bodies when sent down to the mortal realm to serve and uphold the Angelic Contract. Angels with more concentrated levels of divine energy become Archangels, all others scale down in various forms of lesser angels. Just as how energy cannot be destroyed, angels cannot be killed. The only way of "killing" an angel is to revert them back to their form of divine energy, effectively deleting the human form and consciousness taken up before. They cannot be sent back to the mortal plane immediately after this transformation, divine energy takes time to recharge and purify. When sent back down to the mortal plane, the consciousness is once again reset completely and the new human form may vary from the last.

A trademark feature for the underworld creatures to immediately recognize an angel are through their large expanse of white, dove-like wings. They can use these to fly, though some more powerful archangels have the power of levitation and do not rely solely on their wings for movement.

When angels use their divine energy, their eyes fill with a pure white light. Staring into an angels eyes during this time is like staring into the sun. Stare for too long and it will cause permanent eye damage.

Common Angel Powers
-Divine element manipulation
-Flight
-Salvation
-Purification
-Healing
-Resurrection
-Emotional manipulation
-Mental manipulation
-Light manipulation

Sorcerer Lore

During the Dark Ages, when culture and art churned stagnantly, a growing group began to form surrounding the idea that the tragedy of the black plague and the death that followed was the work of witches and dark magic. This group later formed into a guild of Witch hunters, who, the further into the underworld they went, the further they expanded their list of prey. Eventually the guild hunters targeted any and all types of underworld creatures, vampires, werewolves, fairies, demons etc. No underworld creature was safe. To keep up with the natural powers of their foes, the Sorcerers began their own manipulation of nature and chemicals, using fallen underworld creatures as their test subjects to understand how their powers worked.

A large, prominent threat to the Underworld for many years, the guild began to dwindle over time as tales and shouted rumors about creatures of all kind began to slowly turn into empty whispers and half baked fairy tales. Originally Male only, the guild opened its doors to women in order to strengthen their dwindling numbers.

Unable to keep up with the modernization of the world and the cold, black and white rationality that it carried, the guild was on the brink of extinction. Desperate to stay in touch with the underworld and the supernatural feats they achieved from taking part of it, the Sorcerer guild enacted a truce between the underworld for protection. They shared their alchemy and potions and did not hunt, so long as the underworld creatures agreed to not take revenge.

Modern time sorcerers can be found as professional scientists or black market alchemists.

When swearing allegiance to the Guild, members had to pledge celibacy and solitude to devote their lives to the hunt. Relationships and any offspring were strictly forbidden. As times changed and the guild grew desperate to maintain members, Sorcerers were allowed romantic partners and families. Subsequently it became common, even honorable, to have familial lines of sorcerer origins able to be traced back two generations or greater.

Blood Bonds:
To account for the disparity in strength between supernatural creatures and human sorcerers, the Guild began a tradition of forming a blood oath between two sorcerers. The bond is meant to bind two souls together permanently, allowing them to share their enchantments/spells between them and to gain an enhanced connection in combat. If one side of the bond dies, the surviving sorcerer cannot re-bond. Bonds range in strength due to a number of factors, be it the humans affinity for the supernatural or the chemistry between the two souls. Most bonds result in a decently effective power boost and like minded combat tactics. In rare occasions, two sorcerers with a strong affinity for the supernatural and seamless chemistry between the souls can result in a powerful bond that amplifies their use of enchantments far past what is expected. These bonds allow the sorcerers connected to sense each others feelings, presence and intentions. The practice of Sorcerer bonds is still carried through into the modern century, however it is not as popular or necessary as when The Guild hunted and fought supernaturals regularly. Most sorcerers shy away at the commitment such a bond requires.

The Academy:
Founded in the 1930's, the academy was the last grab of hope for The Guild to maintain membership. They scouted the world for children of or relatives for ex members or children who simply had an affinity towards the super natural. Once boarded at The Academy, they undergo education about underworld and training for combat and the use of enchantments.

The Archive:
A large collection of old, sacred documents dating back to the founding of The Guild reside in what they call The Archive. It is similar in looks to an old, dated library. Many powerful enchantments and centuries worth of research are preserved, studied and stored in the space. There is a dark side to The Archive, however, one that only the most elite members are aware of. The Archive still keeps artifacts from its Supernatural hunting days stashed away in a secret space. There is a large collection of fairy wings, vampire fangs, werewolf claws, tails and paws, Orc and ogre tusks, mermaid scales and tails, etc. The building is secured with powerful enchantments, set by the Head Sorcerer herself. Only approved parties may be allowed access.

Black Market Lore

The Black Market was rumored funded by Marianne Bonnefoy, a witch who specialized in Demonology. She was known as the black sheep of the Bonnefoy Household due to her choice in specialized magic. Though, she was highly respected, highly feared, and was the Matriarch of the Bonnefoy family until she disappeared mysteriously.

It was said she fell in love with a demon, and the demon took advantage of her love, meeting her ultimate demise. However, there was not a single trace of her home nor her familiar. It was as if she simply disappeared out of thin air, leaving behind the Black Market she had spent years working on and building.

The Black Market was originally made of white porcelain and gold. Trees ran alongside a complex water system, where the water and the fruit that hung low from the trees were enchanted. To lift the spirits and help regain the energy of weary travelers. It was all to be free and no one was allowed to make capital on such features.

Now, the Black Market is located under the Brooklyn Bridge. Its usual and permanent location is in New York; however, once every three months it shifts to another area in the world to pick up customers, before moving back to New York.

The Black Market is revealed to be a veritable bacchanalia of mythological, fantasy, and supernatural creatures from all over the world and from multiple cultures. As it's name implies, it is a marketplace of significant magnitude, containing hundreds of booths and shopping centers for the strange and fantastic beings of the world. Many different items and goods can be purchased there, be they: food, clothing, items, and more. It is built both out of supernatural structures and cannibalized pieces of the New York sewer system; many pipes can be seen lining it along it's outer walls. Like most marketplaces it is a place of extreme activity, with pedestrian choked road ways and narrow streets.

The variety of creatures and beings that shop and loiter in the Black Market are too numerous to count, but among the ranks there can be seen: trolls, goblins, ogres, dwarves, witches, elves, and even Lovecraftian Old Ones. Faries can be seen fluttering above the heads of the crowd.

The Black Market was divided into two parts. For the most part, it is dedicated to every day shopping, where creatures and supernatural far and wide came in search for a place to rest, a place to eat, and a place to shop. Generally, it is safe. Though, there is a hidden section that is rumored to hide within the shadows. One would have to search far and wide throughout the never ending space to slip through the cracks within a sector run by demons. It is dedicated to general trafficking of illegal substances and body parts. As well as the trafficking of creatures. No one approaches it, and fae had to be deeply cautious of such an area. There were rumors that the Council were heavily involved with the Demon Sector, though there is no proof. There were also rumors that the Boss of the Black Market was a demon.

Thankfully, there are currently no reports of demons hunting within the Black Market. As to where they get their products...who knows.

Demon Lore

Not much is generally known about demons.

It is known that they generally serve under a King, and the King made seven Originals who are known to be a representation of him and his sins.

Not all demons are sinful or violent, though a lot do hold resentment over the witch community as they believe witches are cruel for enslaving a good portion of their population as familiars.
