ABYSSAL BLADE — AZMIS OURANOS
Azmis Ouranos, the Empress of Calamity whose vicious malice knows no bounds. The tales of the horrific catastrophes surrounding the legendary character were once thought to be no more than a myth, rumored by the tyrants to stir up problems for the galactic politics to create fear in the Calvalon Imperium. Their strength nigh unthinkable, allegedly powerful enough to destroy solar systems several times over. How such a godly entity could exist in the plain of reality was astonishing—and so, was considered to be nothing more than a myth born from the superstitions of sentient lifeforms.
It had been nearly 35 years since the Imperium was able to locate and verify the existence of the Empress of Calamity, putting an end to the fictional tales across the stars. An intergalactic decree was sent out to the allies of the Imperium to spread awareness of Azmis Ouranos' existence, along with the authoritative empire known as the Rythen Tyranny, ruled and indoctrinated by the Empress of Calamity's twisted ideologies. Once the decree was sent and heard by the intergalactic civilizations, plans were rolled out to protect the inhabited worlds from the Beast of Apocalypse, until it carved its very fangs into the heart of the Imperium—the divine sphere, Sierra Noctis.
The Calvalon Imperium prepared their armed forces with their greatest capabilities, their clairvoyance having predicted the arrival of the Rythens decades before the initial attack. Their blades sharpened and cannons loaded with the intention to smite the unholy demon loyalists of the Empress, they fought bravely and held off for months on end—until the Final Battle of Slayn, where the decisive battle of the war was destined for one of the two sides. With the Godslayers and Worldbreakers all united in one place, they prepared themselves for their fiercest battle yet, against the Empress of Calamity and her Remnants of Ouranos, who boasted immense strength of their own.
Alchyris honed his sword clean from the demon blood that had stained it prior to their arrival. He had just defeated a several greater demon with the aid of his partner, Satella Cetacea, and had made their way to the Arcadian Throne, where the God-King had ordered for the gathering of all Godslayers alike—to issue a decree to finally end the conflict once and for all.
The order was to eliminate the Empress of Calamity once they arrive to the throne, baited by the Ataraxia Orb that had been treasured throughout Elerian history for thousands of years. They had no plans to give their most precious treasure to the monster, but choices were limited. As their resources quickly became vacant as the war continued, the God-King ultimately unlocked the greatest treasure for the world to witness—a transparent orb of glowing particles from within—supposedly the rarest material in the entire universe.
As they waited for the Empress to come striking down from the atmosphere, Alchyris held onto Satella's hand tightly, mildly shaking in fear—something that was more than unusual for the unfaltering Godslayer.
"At least Vladilena was able to evacuate." Alchyris sighed, again tormented by the thought of having to say their last goodbyes to his only daughter. "I'm certain that she'll lead the rest of the Elerians into a new era of peace, far, far away from here. To make absolutely certain that happens, it'll be our duty to slay the intergalactic threat that had been causing chaos across the stars. It was our duty from the beginning, and as our last, I'm more than prepared to-"
Before Alchyris could finish his sentence, a flash of his daughter's honest smile crossed his mind, putting an end to his courageous statement as his eyes formed another drop of tears. He gritted his teeth in a mix of anger and sorrow, wanting to hold her once more in his hands, and caress her innocent soft hair.
He wanted to cry and let it all out before the battle. There was no certainty that any of the Godslayers would make it out alive, as taking down the galaxy's most powerful entity meant sacrificing their very own soul to pierce through the heart of a primordial god whose existence even shook the fearless God-King into uneasiness.
Alchyris was not afraid of death nor the afterlife that was awaiting for his end. He was more afraid of his daughter becoming a victim of the battle that was about to occur, as Sierra Noctis was destined to be destroyed in order to defeat the Empress of Calamity, a plan authorized by their benevolent leader, the God-King.
