Family Disappointment

"Alright, is that everyone?"

This had since become one of the most commonly uttered sentences for many heroes in today's society. An abnormally large influx of villainous activity had begun to wash over Japan, almost as if it were a tsunami, meaning that more and more heroes were called in each day to assist civilians -both with and without Quirks of their own- in escaping capture. After the disappearance of the notorious All For One, it would have seemed as if the League of Villains had fallen off of the radar alongside him- until now. Each day, villains more powerful than the last rampaged the city, quickly exhausting all available resources and heroes in their attempts in defeating Izuku Midoriya, the successor of All Might, the number one hero.

It was this exact desire that had brought several heroes to where they were currently standing, post-battle in the middle of the city. Several pawns from the League of Villains had taken hostages within a nearby building. It was only when the pro-heroes arrived that they began to rampage, setting things alight with flame, crashing into buildings, and calling all-around chaos. Luckily for the public, and for the heroes that had responded, the majority of their nefarious counterparts were low-level, proving them to be less of a threat than they had previously been perceived. However, that had not stopped them from exploiting every weakness they could find- fire, exhaustion, an overwhelming instinct to protect citizens first.

Helping another civilian to medical services, a young woman clad in black slid the limp arm from around her shoulders, ensuring the other's safety before turning to survey the scene that had been left in their wake. Police and heroes were rounding up captured villains, dragging them into armored vehicles to keep them from escaping back into the public and causing more damage to anyone or anything. Innocent bystanders- men, women, and even children were being taken to hospitals, the catastrophe having worn on their bodies, minds, and underused quirks. And those who did not make it, who could not keep up their fight, were being taken away from the public eye to where their families could say their final goodbyes in peace.

"Todoroki," this same young woman began as she turned to the hero known by his given name, someone she had known since her days at U.A High School. "Have you ensured the safety of the building? There is no one else left inside, correct?" Turning her gaze back to the smoldering remains of what had once been a business complex, she grit her teeth slightly.

"Yes," the aforementioned male confirmed as he walked up behind his fellow peacekeeper., Uraraka assisting him in getting another injured civilian transferred into the care of professionals. "And Bakugou is assisting in making sure there are no villains left around the perimeter." These words calmed the female, and she visibly relaxed. The large black wings protruding from her exposed back disappeared, sparking out of sight.

"Besides," Uraraka chimed in, her persona as uplifted and bubbly as ever- how she managed to remain in such a state after fighting numerous villains and seeing things most people would not be able to bear intrigued her. And, if she were being honest, she was a bit envious. "You need to get checked out as well, or at least by Recovery Girl. Those villains really focused their fire on you, literally. I know how fire affects you, Raiu,"

"I'll be fine, but thank you, Uravity." Waving her hand dismissively and addressing her by her hero name rather than her family name, the female dismissed any notion of needing assistance. "You two should go rendezvous with the others and get status reports. This was a rather large moment for us, and I can't help but believe that there was something that we did not see. Call it intuition, but..." She trailed off, giving a small motion with her hand to emphasize her point. She felt that whatever had just happened was not the end of their battle, not by a long shot.

If the other heroes were to be honest, many of them had the same intuition at the blonde woman. After everything that had been occurring as of late, this battle seemed too easy. Yes, many people and heroes had been severely injured and experienced some very difficult opponents, but they were weak compared to some of the monsters that they had been tasked with facing as of late. This was too easy, almost as if they were simply the minions for the final boss battle that they would have to fight their way through if they wanted to survive.

As her two comrades separated from her side and went to their respective positions, with Todoroki following public officers with the intent of assisting in moving a villain to their vehicle and Uraraka hurrying over to where Iida was doing his job, the woman relaxed more. Her name was Raiu Munakata, or better known as Impundulu, a lightning bird of legend- a sign of bad luck. She had a particular weakness to fire, as the heat restricted her ability to draw breath and hindered her flight. It was common practice now for her to require at least a breath of pure oxygen after a battle- after all, these days she very rarely got involved in battles where the villain did not know her weakness and use it to their ability- and nine times out of ten, her partner would see to it himself that she got it.

"Raiu!" A rough, curt voice cut through her thoughts. Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Snapping out of her trance, Raiu looked to her left just in time to see Katsuki Bakugou, her partner, stomping toward her. The look on his face could only be described as frustrated, as if he were being forced to approach her, as if she were only a menial chore. Of course, Raiu knew that this was his default look, but that understanding changed nothing of its appearance.

Taking a mental note of Bakugou's appearance, Raiu took one step closer to the blonde male decorated in green, orange, and black. He looked horrible, as if he had taken one mean shot to the face. He had a very deep laceration underneath his left eye- superficial bleeding, of course, but it seemed to be rather deep. She would have to look at that first. "Are you insane? Why the hell did you run in like that? We told you to stick to the air, where you thrive the best. I swear, you're begging to get killed!"

Sighing, Raiu took Bakugou's chin in her grasp and turned it to the left, allowing herself to get a better look at his injury. Paying no heed to his struggling, she wiped the blood away, eliciting a hiss from between his lips. "He had a child in his hold, and from what I saw, everyone else was preoccupied with other villains. Nobody would be able to get to them, except for me. Now, shut up and let me look." The two fell into silence for a moment, before Raiu mumbled something under her breath.

"You bastard. You're going to need Recovery Girl here soon. It's deep, you may need stitches. I'll patch it up for now, but there's nothing else I can really do. I don't having a healing quirk like she does." Releasing him, she watched as Bakugou rubbed his jaw, not realizing until then how tight her grip truly was. Mumbling an apology, she put her hands on her hips before re-materializing her wings. Using this to her advantage, she pulled him towards her and briefly pressed her lips to his, hiding this interaction from the press with the large feathered appendages.

Releasing him once again, she began to lead him over to where the others had begun to gather. "Alright, everyone. Let's give our mission details and get out of here quickly before we attract more villains. I'll start us off- Looks like we had a total of 9 villains to deal with today, three of which were high class. Unfortunately, this means that those three were the ones who managed to pick out our weaknesses, but it also means that we're getting stronger day by day. We're working around their own villainous quirks and figuring out how we can use ours without playing into their hands. So, good job everyone." She offered the group a small, rare smile.

As she spoke, the paparazzi flashed around them, all trying to get an audio recording of their classified meeting. They had questions, wanted statements and interviews, and would not stop at anything to get what they wanted to increase their views and popularity. In a way, they themselves were villains as well. Ruthless, cunning monsters of the media. Just as despicable, self-preservationists that would do anything for a scoop.

"We lost people, three of them. But that also means we saved 35 who sustained minimal to no injuries," Bakugou spoke after receiving a sharp hit of "motivation" to the back, in the form of a lightning jolt from his girl. "Jeez, can you cut that shit out? That hurts, damn it!"

"Not until you learn to work like this on your own, Katsuki. Become a bit less self-centered and make me stop having to shock you, or face my voltage again." Giving him an innocent smile to accompany her cold words, Raiu focused once more on the group, listening to the next speaker.

CRASH!

A loud crashing sound shook the area around them, causing the paparazzi to scatter and duck for cover as buildings quaked and debris fell. Raiu had since pulled several towards the ground, extending her wings to offer as much protection to the group as she could spare.

At the same time, Bakugou remained close to his fiancé’s side, attempting to keep her nearby in his own form of protecting her. He’d practically thrown himself in front of her, his arm carefully keeping anything away from her middle, shoulders and torso protecting the rest of her.

"What the hell was that?" She heard Bakugou yell, over the sound of her abilities charging, preparing herself for a fight.

"We aren't alone anymore. It would seem as if the party is just getting started," came the cool tone of Todoroki's voice.

"Those bastards. I'll kill them all!"

"Wait!" A hand shot out, hitting his chest and stopping him. "Not yet, we need to see what it is that we're dealing with here. IIDA! Think you can run fast enough so that they can't see you?"

Looking out from her wings as the debris ceased its descent, she folded them carefully as she called out to the other.

Iida Tenya, or more commonly known as Ingenium, breathed a sigh as he lifted up another piece of rubble. His eyes, sharp as steel, looked over the small area before sighing again and dropping the large chunk of building. The didn’t seem to be anyone trapped over in this area of the battlefield.

Currently the young man was set on rescue duty as well as search and rescue. With his speed he could get anyone in need of urgent care to the hospital faster than anyone here. Despite this however, the blue haired man looked worse for wear to any other bystander.

The signature glasses that he was always wearing were gone. Crushed during the fight most likely. Tenya couldn’t remember. This fight had been such a blur that he barely remembered who defeated who.

Along with the glasses, the knight-like helmet that matched his hero costume was gone, leaving anyone to be able to inspect his handsome face. A large gash traveled across the top of his forehead and up into his hair, which was speckled with dirt, sweat, and other crap that had gotten into it during the fight.

Shaking his head, he turned around with a frown as he heard someone approaching from behind but immediately relaxed as he saw his old school mate come up behind him. “Ah! Uraraka. How are things going on your end?” He asked with a smile, wincing slightly at the pain from his forehead.

Uraraka Ochaco. Her and Midoriya Izuku were both his best friends back in U.A. . Nothing in this world could have kept the three seperated for long and he was going to make sure that wasn’t going to change.

“Iida-kun! You’re bleeding!” She worriedly spoke, approaching him like a extremely worried mother. She puffed her cheeks slightly and crossed her arms. “Make sure you get that checked out before we’re done here, okay Iida-kun?”

Tenya chuckled good naturally and gave the girl a mock salute. “Yes ma’am! So, what brings you over to my search area?” He asked curiosly. His hands went stiff as he made the classic “Iida Tenya hand signatures” emphasizing each word.

Uraraka smiles once again, her bubbly personality showing. “Ah that’s right! We are to all meet in the center of the field. Everyone is gathering there.”

Iida nodded as he dust himself off slightly, his usually stark white armor now dirtied with mud and small amount of blood. It wouldn’t look good to the paparazzi for him, Ingenium, to look so messed up. He wiped his forehead and got the blood off of his brow as he followed Uraraka to the meeting point.

Once there, Bakugou’s wife...err scratch that, fiancé, began to speak, explaining the mission report to everyone who had made it to the small meeting. He hadn’t talked to her that much but demmed her worthy of respect if she could tame someone like Bakugou.

Iida glanced back at the reporters who were still taking pictures and writing down notes when suddenly, it hit him. It was too...quiet. They were currently standing on a battlefield that was roaring with fighting minuets ago. Why was it so...!

CRASH
Suddenly (once again) Iida had his guard up, eyes darting back and forth between the civilians, heroes, and debris caused by the crash. His eyes transfixed on Raiu as soon as he heard his name.

“IIDA! Think you can run fast enough so that they can’t see you?”

Iida nodded with a serious face before teaming up his legs. “RECIPRO..BURST!!

Nemesis
(Kyogoku)
A moments hesitation, that's all you'd need to be cast into a creeping darkness. Heated metal screamed in contention as the weight became too much, the building itself crumbled and collapsed. Whoever was within, well that didn't matter now, at the rate the destruction was coming it would be unlikely for them to come out safe without intervention. An escape route for any who wished to flee the combat, and an entry point for the newcomers. Beneath a black mask smoke funneled out, it mixed with the dust from the destruction to form a horrifyingly beautiful mixture, A mixture of chaos. The flames raced through the building, now being severed from their waterline had left minimal options for the unfortunate souls trapped within. The girl of ashen hair cared not for lives she would take, after all. Each of them were a stepping stone, with each step another door to unlock. Nemesis intended on taking many steps.

As cement, glass, and other materials rained from the building she remained vigilant. For the most part she was looking out for heroes, but she kept an eye out for villains all the same. Each dangerous in their own respective right, however she knew what she had done. A test of morality, and a right of passage. Panicked screams rang from those in the building, it had toppled over and destroyed most of the lower and uppermost floors. Numerous injuries at least, the floors between hovered between life and death, supported only by an adjacent building that held them upwards. Once more the smoke flowed out in a quick burst, it took sky-bound before blending into the surrounding chaos.

A child's fearful screams drew the bored gaze upwards, glowing amethyst eyes pierced through the scene to discover that this child was clinging to a window-frame. Crying desperately for assistance, the same assistance that the interior of the building now lacked. A secondary blast, from within this time. This would be her doing; a gas generator had caught flame in the center of the building. Debris flew from the sky and smashed into the Earth, the screams were drowned by this but for a moment.

A sharp inhalation was drawn through Kyo's nose, her eyes shutting for a millisecond before returning to view the landscape she laid siege to.
"Should I take another?" her voice seemed to echo slightly within the hollowed mask, an empty tone came across. One lacking enthusiasm, one which seemed devoid of any emotion. For now she kept her eyes open, both for any allies or enemies who made their presence known.

Shimae and Todoroki
17126864_1850668691880912_6619637710967537664_n.jpg

"Here's another, Shimae." the cold as ice voice of Shouto Todoroki called out to the green haired woman who was using her quirk to stop the bleeding of many civilians. Her hazel eyes met the hot and cold user's for a second before going to the injured, taking the woman and setting her down onto the concrete. "You're going to be alright, ok? I can't heal you, but I will keep your bleeding at bay." she spoke softly and calmly, smiling at the woman to give her the most comfort that she could provide in situations such as the one that they were faced with that day. And to think that the day was going well.

Today was supposed to be Shouto Todoroki and Shimae Noboru's off day. One that was rare and hard to come by. Shimae had planned to spend the day with her significant other traveling to the countryside and staying at a small bed and breakfast like inn. But, as the profession they chose, an off day was never really an off day. With the uprising of villains and attacks, the two were always on call no matter the time of day or occasion. Luckily, for them they were able to respond to the large scene that they found themselves in now.

When they arrived on the scene, there was no time to talk or strategize. Todoroki jumped into battle with Shimae protecting the civilians on the ground and getting them to safety. Shimae was on the defensive as always and Todoroki on the offensive to get the civilians from the burning building and fight off and who opposed him. The raging fire from inside the building would be hard for firefighters to control, but for the half hot and half cold hero, it was bearable. Usually, Shimae would accompany him, but fire made her quirk impossible to use.

Though the two arrived late to the scene, Todoroki couldn't help but find it rather strange that he didn't encounter a villain. It was like they set the building a blaze and left. The fire seemed to look natural, most likely caused by a gas leak, but he knew better. A gas fire wasn't going to have the building spitting fire like this.

On the ground, Shimae assisted in finding those civilians that didn't make it out in time. She carried limp bodies to ambulances, helped keep those who were still conscious awake, and prevented the bleeding out of others. In times like these, she was glad Thirteen taught her how to properly rescue others and how to use her quirk to help until the medical professionals arrived. Even though she was hard at work with her own task, she couldn't help but look into the building that her partner had rushed into. She knew he would be fine and escape before the building collapsed, but there was always that little part of her that knew he couldn't handle the smoldering flames for too long. She had to keep her mind on her task though. Todoroki always told her that in a crisis situation each hero plays a very important role and you can't worry about others more than yourself. Her attention was caught when she heard Bakugou and Raiu speak and then Iida and Uraraka.

All of them were her seniors and she watched them grow into the heroes they were today back from their time at UA. She always looked up to them and would continue to do so. Thankfully, Todoroki rescued all of the civilians from the burning building and was now on his way to her. Shimae couldn't help but smile brightly and hug her partner.
"I'm so glad your safe. Are you hurt?" her voice just as soft as when she spoke to the civilians. Todoroki looked at her and shook his head slightly, "No, I'm fine. How about you? Are you okay?" Shimae smiled and pulled him away from the prying eyes of the reporters and lifted her arm for him to see the rip in her costume. "Just cut myself on a piece of cement. No biggie." she grinned and heard Recovery Girl's voice. "That's good. What about the civilians?" he looked behind her and could see the long line of those who were injured. Shimae's features hardened.

"In all there's about 35 injured and there have been three pronounced deceased." It was never easy giving a report like that to anyone, but it was part of her job. "I finished gathering everyone and now I'll leave it to Recovery Girl and the medics." Shimae looked up to see Todoroki's breath wasn't cold as usual, but hot. "Your breath." she said and reached up to put a hand on his face.

CRASH!
The loud sound and shaking of the Earth beneath them caused everyone to panic yet again. What was left of the buildings would shake and shatter with windows bursting and shouts of terror filling the streets. Shimae did the best she could to keep those around them protected with her bubble shield.

At the instant of the loud crash, Todoroki had grabbed Shimae by the waist and pulled her beneath him. He used his own body as a shield, quickly forming his infamous ice wall. Todoroki's brows furrowed and he looked up, hearing Bakugou's yell.

"We aren't alone anymore. It seems as if the party is just getting started." he said in his icy tone but Shimae could feel his breath on her neck and it wasn't as cold as it usually was. She looked up to see Todoroki standing with his arms still protectively around her. He was looking around though, trying to find the source of the threat.

"Shimae, get the civilians and everyone out of here then come find me. Understood?" he spoke without looking at her, his grip loosening. Shimae nodded and pulled his hands from her waist, standing on her own and seeing the frightened people. "You all have to go now! It's not safe! Load the vehicles and get moving!" she ordered, her own voice catching a bit of the icy tone her other half normally used. Todoroki grinned to himself and was getting ready to join his comrades. "Todoroki!" When he turned to answer, he was met with Shimae wrapping her arms around him and kissing him. He was surprised and caught off guard, but reciprocated the action. When they broke apart Shimae grinned and pressed her forehead to his. "Go kick some ass. I'll be right behind you." Todoroki smiled and closed his eyes briefly, pressing his head against her with a bit more force. "I will. Now go!" he said and pushed her away allowing Shimae to use the force to assist Recovery Girl and get everyone away from the fight that was about to take place.

"Shimae is helping Recovery Girl evacuate the area. We don't know who this villain is and worrying about the civilians will only make it harder for us to concentrate." Todoroki joined his companions with fists ready. "Now, let's end this quickly." and with that, Shouto Todoroki released some of his magnificent flames ready for part two of the fight.

Kano Nakatsukasa

Hectic couldn’t even begin to describe the recent influx of villainous activity. Although many were skeptical, a decent amount of civilians viewed the disappearance of All For One, and subsequently the League of Villains, positively. Maybe all the bad people just went away. The sentiment couldn’t be more wrong. Now villains were coming out of the woodwork, each stronger than the last. Resources exhausted and more and more heroes became decommissioned in the villains attempts to take down Izuku Midoriya.

Due to the frequent occurrence of large scale crime, the need of heroes increased. With more being hospitalized or worse, the reduced numbers led to those remaining to strain their quirks. This included Kano Nakatsukasa, the hero known as Natural Disaster. Since he was needed so often, and the villains got more powerful by the day, he found it best to arrive on scene having already accumulated some power. He also stayed transformed for longer periods of time these days, constantly crushing leftover debris in his hands during downtime in order to prevent his quirk from timing out. Even though he had trained to reduce the drawbacks of using his quirk like this, the fatigue would catch up soon enough. He wasn't the only hero that had been straining themselves, and he wouldn't be the last.

The current climate of villain activity is what led Kano and several other heroes to their current position, standing post-battle in the middle of the city. They had responded to reports of a hostage situation within a nearby building. The scene itself was relatively calm, till the pro-heroes arrived, sending the captors into a rampage of arson, building destruction, and chaos. Although these particular criminals were low-tier pawns of the League, they pulled out all the stops they could to win: hero weaknesses, fire, fatigue, and a heroes gut instinct to protect civilians first. Having left his suit with a support squad, Kano arrived on scene with only his helmet on. Since many of the areas top notch heroes were present, the group didn't have to use too many of them for directly dealing with the captors and hostages. Impundulu, the chosen commander for the heroes, saw it best Kano help deal with debris and the structural integrity of the building. If anything got more serious, he'd be more equipped to assist since he'd be stronger.

Now at the end of the conflict, Natural Disaster had grown noticeably in size and changed in appearance. He increased the size, length, and width of his hands and arms to help cover citizens and handle debris. With his job done, the hero assisted in moving civilians and captured villains to their proper places. Not soon afterwards Kano was approached by the infamous Katsuki Bakugou
. "Disaster, get with me and help secure this perimeter. We have enough people with transport," he said firmly. Kano saw no problem with the request, even though it was more of an order. "You got it, chief." The two heroes went on their way to complete their new objective. Once finished, Kano joined with the rest of the heroes while Katsuki approached his girl, Impundulu. He relaxed for a minute, waiting for the two to seize flirting so she could go over mission details.

So, good job everyone." As usual, various news outlets and countless other paparazzi swarmed around them like vultures pecking for a meal. Bakugou spoke shortly after Impundulu finished. "We lost people, three of them. But that also means we saved 35 who sustained minimal to no injuries." Understandably the mood was a bit down, so Kano spoke to help encourage the group a little more. "So raise those chins a little guys, we did good today," he said smiling.

CRASH!
An almost deafening crashing sound shook the area around them, causing the paparazzi to scatter and duck for cover as buildings quaked and debris fell. Kano covered all he could with his humongous appendages, with Impundulu covering as many people as possible with her wings, Poppy protecting with her bubble shield, and Todoroki creating his familiar ice wall.

"What the hell was that?!"

"We aren't alone anymore. It would seem as if the party is just getting started."

"Those bastards. I'll kill them all!"

"Wait! Not yet, we need to see what it is that we're dealing with here. IIDA! Think you can run fast enough so that they can't see you?"

Kano looked up to see the hero Ingenium stand up and yell one his signature moves,"RECIPRO..BURST!!", and take off.

Todoroki stood up himself and proceeded to speak to the other heroes.
"Shimae is helping Recovery Girl evacuate the area. We don't know who this villain is and worrying about the civilians will only make it harder for us to concentrate. Now, let's end this quickly."

Now that civilians were quickly getting taken cared of, and Ingenium was on reconnaissance, Kano shook of any debris on himself and released the people he protected to Poppy as he raised on his feet. To hasten others standing up, he removed and crushed some surrounding debris. He responded to Todoroki while he removed debris. "Couldn't agree with you more, comrade," he said behind his battered helmet.

Dammit…Dammit dammit dammit…

Almina had taken the day to go back to her hometown to help train the Hero interns at their Gym. Before she had gone back home she had gotten information from a friend of hers about a possible attack in a city away from where the Dylandy gym was. She couldn’t disclose all the details, but what her friend was able to tell her was that the police were planning out evacuation ideas. Why? A villain threat. Whether they were the League of Villains was unknown, but her friend had told her to be on standby because they weren’t 100% sure when it was going to happen. Seeing the chaos on the news meant that the villains either decided to act now, or it was something else entirely. Whatever the case was she had rushed out of the gym, leaving her friend in charge of taking care of the interns, and jumped onto the first train headed near the disaster.

While on the train she searched up multiple news outlets on the web to see what was going on. They were reporting on the mass casualties, and also the heroes on the scene trying to do as much as they can. She had seen a few news outlets praise the U.A. prodigy’s that had shown up like Todoroki Shouto, and Tenya Iida. The press really doesn’t waste time in giving some heroes the extra spotlight… A few other U.A members were there helping out as well as a few people she knew like Raiu, and Shimae who the press also decided to give attention to.

*beep* “May I have your attention please. We are sorry to announce that the next stop, Platform X, will be the last stop for this route. This is due to unsafe conditions on the routes ahead. Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause you. May I have your attention please…”

Almina cursed under her breathe as she heard the conductor of the train make the announcement once again. If she had not decided to go back home, then she would have been at the scene by now. As the train stopped Almina ran out of the train, and up the stairs onto the busy street. Even if the train had stopped this far away from the chaos the effects of it were felt. There were people either running away, or stood in one spot watching all the destruction going on up ahead. There were ambulances going toward the chaos, but also away from it carrying many injured people inside. Some ambulances didn’t even have time to close their back doors, so they were left open for people to see. For any human being it was a shock to see this, but Almina was used to being in terrible situations. She ran in the direction where smoke rose from the fires that were ablaze.

Even if she was agile it was still a good few miles to the site, so she did the next best thing. Stop an ambulance and hitch a ride with them. It wasn’t as easy as she thought because they were not only speeding up the road, but also had no intention of stopping since they needed to get there as fast as possible. One ambulance almost ran her over as she tried to stop them, but she was determined to catch the next one. So, as the next one approached she braced herself by stretching, and then hooked her arm onto the side mirror of the ambulance. Both the driver and the passenger looked at her with pure shock on their face as she tried using the wind that already existed to fling herself on top of the ambulance without missing. The car started to swerve from lane to lane making it difficult for Almina to control her momentum. The driver rolled his window down and practically cussed her out as he regained control of the vehicle. “I’m a Hero!” she yelled over the sirens. “I need to get to the chaos site!”

The driver slowed the car down. “I’m sorry ma’am, but we don’t have any extra space in here!”

Almina shook her head, “No,” she tried pointing to the roof of the car. “I just need to get on the roof of your vehicle please!”

The driver nodded without thinking twice about the situation and continued to drive as Almina flung herself up on the roof. “You can drive as fast as you need to,” she yelled from the top. “I can hold on.”

The vehicle picked up speed, so Almina held onto the lights up on top. I should really add goggles to my Hero outfit…

As they started to get closer to the red zone of the disaster it became more difficult to maneuver through all the debris on the road, so the driver stopped the ambulance. “I apologize ma’am,” the paramedic opened the door, and got out. “We can’t go any further. We’re taking our medical supplies and going on foot.”

Almina nodded, and jumped down from the vehicle. “That’s fine. Thank you for the ride,” She smiled to the paramedics who were grabbing everything they needed from the back of the car. “Thanks for the ride!”

Turning away from the paramedics she took looked over the area they were in. It was chaos as expected…Glass was scattered all over the streets, chunks of buildings, and there was live fire burning from inside some of them. What exactly happened the moment of the attack was well written in the scene in front of her, so her first mission became to look for civilians in hiding. Because it seemed to be a surprise attack it was only logical for people to still be in the area. Also from the looks of it was that the heroes were focusing on the worst part of the chaos. Almina took a deep breath, and then began to look for people who were too scared to leave their hiding spots. Throughout the 30 minutes of scouting out the buildings she found groups of people in cafes, stores, restaurants, and housing areas that were in danger. As she found them she told them where to go, and instead of tending to the injured herself she would leave it up to the otherwise healthy to help get them out of the danger zone. making her way back to where the ambulance was parked she was glad they had stayed near their vehicle to help the people she was aiding in escaping. “Hey, guys!” she called out to them.

The female remembered her and waved. “I’m glad there were still people alive,” the woman said as she stood up from bandaging up a civilian. “you’re pretty quick.”

“Thanks,” Almina said without giving much enthusiasm. “Can I ask where you guys were headed?”

The woman was a bit confused as how strange the question was considering what was going on. Before she could answer Almina asked a different question, “Were you guys told to go to that area?” and pointed to where the disaster was at its worse.

“Yes ma’am, since that’s where the most casualties are.”

Almina nodded, “Naturally…” she then thought for a moment. “Can I get you to radio the other paramedics?”

The female hesitated but decided to trust her. “Yes, what is it?”

“Can you tell the paramedics who aren't in the red zone of the disaster at this point that they need to focus on the outer areas of the disaster site? I understand the red zone is top priority, but people will continue to leave that area.” She paused to let it sink into the woman's head. "If you guys keep going in then you guys will also get hurt."

The paramedic, realizing this, nodded. “I’ll let my team, and the others know.”

Almina nodded, and let the woman go back to her team to tell them what she had told her. Waving bye to them as they looked back at her Almina started running to the red zone. Pulling out a 2-way radio from her obi she tried to turn it on, but it wouldn't turn on. Turning it over, and open the back that was fairly easy to open she discovered why it wouldn't turn on. No battery...and broken at that. Pretty cheap, so it wasn't used for long-ranged communication... putting it back into her obi she would see about looking for an electric quirk type to charge the thing. Maybe we could get something out of it.

She had never thanked her agility more than she did today. It would have taken longer for a normal person to make it to the disaster zone, but boy was she glad she made it in time. She approached a few heroes who were aiding in evacuating civilians to ask them a few questions . They only gave her bits of information, but anything would do.

Instead of going into battle she looked for a building that was still intact, and when she found one she began making her way to the upper floors. Almina needed to see the full scale of what was going on even though she had seen some news outlets cover the area from afar, but It wasn’t enough for her to see the bigger picture.

After finally making it to one of the higher levels Almina was able to go into an office with wide glass windows, and a view of the streets below. She looked around at the other buildings, looked down at the civilians, and looked up at the sky to make sure no one was getting 1st tickets seats of it all. the 2-way radio wasn't anything fancy, so the person on the other end had to be nearby. Not exactly in this area, but close enough to get a good view of what's going on. "My guess is they have a ranged quirk..." she murmured to herself. "Ranged, 2-way radio, ranged, 2-way radio, come on Aldy..." she murmured again. "Wait,-

!Crash!

The ground started to shake as the glass began to crack in front of her. She stumbled out of the office as the glass broke and the walls around her shook. She heard metal from inside the building structure rattle, and creak which made her book it to the stairs. Luckily the building didn’t fall, but Almina wouldn’t take her chances as she continued to run down the stairs onto the busy street. People were starting to evacuate, and heroes were gearing up for a fight. Almina decided it was time to jump into the chaos as well. So far, she had gotten good information that clearly told her this wasn't just a random attack. From who though? She had no idea, but she wanted to know. Villains who had caused all this destruction were no low-ranked villains like some of the media reports had stated. As she yelled for people to keep running she had caught sight of Shimae helping people escape the danger zone. “Shimae!” Almina yelled out to her. “Shimae, hey!” she made her way towards her. Almina needed someone else to help figure this out before it was to become even worse.

The brute of a villain powered through Hiroji's LRAD, his bleeding ears not enough to deter him from trying to sock the musician in the face. Hiroji--Amplitude, the musical hero--saw the punch coming from a mile away and leapt out of the way, the villain punching through the concrete wall behind him and causing the already-devastated house to collapse just a little bit more.

He knew this type of villain at a glance: A big, musclebound type who preferred to solve problems with his fists and didn't care who got in his way. This particular one, however, was dressed in a nice suit, even wearing a monocle like a sterotypical British dandy. Hiroji personally didn't know this guy in particular, but the villain soon corrected that problem.

"I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself!" he said in a polite tone even as he picked up a lamppost and attempted to remove Hiroji's head with it. A swing that Hiroji barely ducked, only to be caught off-guard by his low sweep, after which the villain straddled him, brandishing the lamppost threateningly. "I am known as the Bloody Baron, and I do not take kindly to so-called 'heroes' acting as you have. Your entire hero career is one giant advertisement! You even load up your songs..." he trailed off as he noticed that he couldn't hear his own voice. In fact, he couldn't hear anything around him. As he prepared to swing the lamppost, sure that this was just a trick of the hero before him, his thoughts of panic were interrupted by Hiroji yelling in his face.

"OH GO CHOKE ON A HAND GRENADE, YOU SELF-RIGHTEOUS BLOWHARD!"

The scream was so forceful it threw the Baron's 2000-pound bulk directly off of Hiroji, thirty feet in the air, and sent him tumbling onto the roof of a parked car which bent into a U-shape from the impact. The Baron got up, groaning in pain as his ears rung. He could barely hear what Hiroji yelled next as he the hero towards him, his armor chipped in several places and slightly bloodied from a few of the Baron's punches.

"YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU ATTACKED THE CITY AND PUT MILLIONS OF LIVES AT RISK BECAUSE OF THAT IDIOT, STAIN?! THERE'S A REASON I HOLD A MUSIC CAREER ON THE SIDE, AND IT SURE AS HELL ISN'T BECAUSE I'M A GREEDY SELLOUT!"

Hiroji was upon the Baron now, who had collapsed under the sheer force of the sound and was lying there inert. His monocle had been blown off of his face and was lying on the ground, the plastic lens popped out. Obviously this guy preferred not having shards of glass in his eye to proper authenticity.

"YOU WANT TO KNOW THE REAL REAS--Oh, he's unconscious. Or deaf. Nevermind."

Hiroji quickly moved to cuff the guy with his paralyzing restraints, and some time later, was standing with the rest of the heroes as the Bloody Baron was being led into a specialized police van. He hated post-battle situations like this. His Quirk couldn't do much to help rescue survivors or stabilize the injured or generally help people. He made things quiet and yelled really loud. That was about it. He of course made himself busy escorting injured civvies to the paramedics and telling people where to go, which took up most of his time. He didn't even get a chance to talk to the others, including the UA prodigies he looked up to, before he heard a loud

CRASH!

What the hell was going on!? He had to get over there now. He moved to sprint, but stopped himself. Charging into an earthquake zone would do nothing more than get him killed. Saving people and fighting villains could come later.

Still, he gritted his teeth, his frame shaking. "I hate just standing here and doing nothing, but Raiu's right. We have to wait until we know what we're dealing with before we go charging in." He then created a silence field a few inches from his skin. Some of the buildings were still collapsing. He could at least use this opportunity to build up one hell of a sound charge.
