Ezra prefer's the more modern styles compared to the old. The lack of ruffles making her extremely grateful. Though she still finds way's to lose the hat's forced upon her, which seem's to grow larger over time, and prefers the more simple shorter dresses. She never wastes a chance to wear breeches. Sneaking some on when riding and refusing to take them off until their noticed. She enjoys the flexibility offered.

Free spirited Ezra prefers riding her horse through the grounds, chatting with the servant girls about changes in the world, napping in the stables, or secretly practicing her archery over having tea with other ladies, gossiping about the newest scandal in some far away family, or fending off suitors at her father's business dinners. She is a very independent and intelligent girl that often clashes with the expectations around her. Sneaking into her fathers study often to study subjects others wouldn't teach her or questioning everything. Often she has fought with her tutors about subjects and sent them running to her parents.
Ezra takes joy in surprising others. Either with her intelligence or stubbornness. Whenever forced to go to a party hosted by another family she acts like her mother expects but doesn't hold her tongue on important opinions or when insulted. She refuses to keep quiet about her views and is often looked down upon for this. Few admire her bravery.
Biography (2 paragraphs, at least):
Growing up Ezra was a difficult child. Often sneaking away from her nannies and parents to go play or seek something more entertaining or being nosy. Often clashing with her mother. The other families found her rather distasteful, and kept their children away. So Ezra became friends with the servant children and would often play games with them. When the other noble children began to try and pick on her she could count on her older siblings to save her. Only once did her servant friends defend her, when a vicious noble boy tried to hold her down and cut her hair calling her a boy. Her siblings defended them, but the servant children where still punished for it and the noble boy got away free. Ezra made them promise not to ever defend her again.

When first introduced to dresses at the age of eight Ezra rebelled. Often stealing her brothers old breeches and wearing them beneath until her parents simply burnt them. She was no longer allowed to wear her hair down or short and had to keep herself clean. Not play in the dirt or trees. Ezra hated it. Feeling confined to one image that wasn't herself she eventually ran off while her family was at the market place. Trading her rings for a set of boy clothes from a low class boy and cutting her hair into a bob. Ezra managed to disappear for two weeks.

Living on the streets was different, much harder but also much more free. Ezra kept her identity and gender a secret and joined with some homeless boys to steal for food and survival. She was finally caught by an officer who she had ran into. He planned to arrest her until he saw the birthmark on her wrist that Scotland yard had been warned to watch out for. Ezra was returned to her parents and further attempts were foiled. Many nights she told stories of what she had done on the streets until she was commanded to stop putting ideas into her siblings heads.

After that her father forced her mother to be more lenient with their free spirited daughter. Ezra would speak to her friends from the streets when they visited the market and slip away often, dressed as a boy with clothes her father had provided her. But with her new freedom she would come back. Always. In return for the freedom to go be herself, even if she was dressed like a boy, she was to do better in school and be polite and respectful in social events. Ezra readily agreed.​

Quite a tall figure standing at 6ft 4 with an appearance of a person once strong fit basically turned to pot due to age and seditary life style. His body is also covered with scars of service in the military service, particularly a damaged right legs forcing him to use a cane and walk with a limp. There is a certain unique expressiveness in his facial features, able to give a kind warm expression of trust to intimidating glare to goofy face to make anyone laugh.

Clothing Description (1 paragraph, at least):
Not much to say her, wears the standard suits and taxedos as is traditional at the time, preferring brown and dark green in his casual suits. He is very casual in his dress around family, usually happy to wear just trousers and a shirt with the sleeves rolled up when not entertaining.

Personality Description (2 paragraphs, at least):
Edmund is a private person, preferring the company of his family and only a couple of true friend. He is a man of few words and as a result not a great socialiser leaving it to his wife and others. Get past that privacy and he gets used to you though, he is good natured with cheeky and slightly goofy sense of humor (if you get past the dad jokes.) He is person who rarely gets angry or strong emotion in general but you know when he is angry and disappointed with someone. Do not mistake his quietness to shyness of weakness he is a fighter and has the scars to prove it.
Dedicated to his family and estate, he is hard and intelligent with no fear on getting his hands dirty when he needs to. He knows the value of tradition and service but also knows that sometimes change happens and it is unavoidable. However he is not one to blindly follow either progress or tradition, trying to find what is worth keeping in both. He tries hard to keep up but he is getting on in years and his experience in times of war are pressing down on him as he slowly down and starts think back on his life.
Biography (2 paragraphs, at least): The second son of the previous duke of Singleton, he was never expected to to inherit the title from his father. The focus towads his older brother by his parent's meant he was pretty much free from expectation and little starved for attention. This mean he was a rebellious and hidomisric young growing up, enjoying his family wealth and courted ladies whenever he could. This eventually got him into trouble and almost caused and embarrassment to his family. The family used it's influence to damage control and dealt with their rebuctious son by handing him into the army.

Edmund's family connection meant he was made an officer immediately and was send to South Africa. Despite an initial rough start he took to soldier life well and was a capable officer at the time of the British-Zulus war. There he saw his first battle and later owned a commendation as a survivor of the Defence of Rorke's Drift. He later fought in the first Boer Wars where he was injured and as result discharged from the army. Upon returning to England he was told grave news, his elder brother had died from illiness and so was next in line for the duchy. A changed man but this point, he settled down, starting a family and taking over the running of the duchy and Ebbington when his father passed.

Clothing Description:
Byron is usually seen wearing smart, formal and expensive suits. He favours blacks, greys and dark blues, sometimes with a smart tie and always perfectly polished shoes. If he isn't dressed in a suit, then he's either dressed down for his morning jog or walking around in just his shorts/underwear. He loves his own body so much he doesn't mind showing it off!

Personality Description:

Egotist:
Byron can often come across as egotistical. He knows he's intelligent, physically attractive and successful so often feels the need to remind others of the fact. People have called him a narcissist on occasions, to which he simply agrees. He admires anyone who looks good and works hard, even if it's himself!

Elitist:
Byron can sometimes be rude and dismissive to those of a lower class than himself. There have been a number of occasions where he has had to apologise to lower staff members for upsetting them. When he makes an effort to be appreciative, he soon forgets and reverts to his natural pompous manner.

Sarcastic:
Byron has a sharp sense of humour. By now, his family is used to it and most of them have come to realise his sarcasm can actually be quite funny and when used with them it isn't intended to be directly offensive. He simply struggles to make light or silly jokes. With outsiders, his sarcasm is more cutting and at times offensive.

Passionate:
Byron is passionate in many different aspects. He's passionate about his interests, achievements, hobbies and family. For someone who comes across as a horrible person to outsiders, he genuinely cares for his parents and siblings. Although he has often come to blows with some family members (particularly his father) he still appreciates them. Though he has struggled to find a woman he wants to commit to, he has been very passionate in his past relationships and is a sucker for an attractive woman.

Intelligent and Hardworking:
Although he has been accused of living off his family's name and wealth, Byron is very intelligent and a driven man. Whether he's entertaining aristocracy/politicians, training or indulging in his hobbies, he always works hard. Whilst at times he may take advantage, he has earned most of his achievements.

Biography:
Byron wasn't always a difficult child. For the first few years of his life he caused very little stress for his parents and their staff. It wasn't until he began to understand the concept of being a Duke's son and heir that he became more difficult. As a teenager, he studied hard and passed every test that was given to him, but he went through a number of tutors after some couldn't handle his sharp tongue and belittling nature.

When he was 18, Byron began dating a judge's daughter, Abigail. The Duke and Duchess approved of the girl, and her father approved of Byron. She was sensible, wholesome and kind to all. By the time they had dated for a year, their families began to drop hints about marriage. Byron realised he wasn't ready for commitment and Abigail was too prudish for him, so he abruptly ended their relationship. From then on, he sought out attractive women who were less uptight and shared his desire for noncommittal intimacy. Despite sleeping with a number of attractive and passionate women, he has yet to find one he would consider committing to in the long term and he knows, as his father's heir, he can't put marriage off forever.

Byron has learned how to switch on the charm and businesslike attitude when entertaining the family's guests, making him very popular amongst the wealthy and powerful. Which makes it hard for his family to criticise him as a representative for the Covingtons. It's his attitude towards the lower class, their servants, that leaves much to be desired and often causes rifts between him and his father. In more heated disagreements, Byron has accused his father of growing weak, but deep down he knows it to be untrue and he does respect his father.

As well as his parents, Byron cares for all of his siblings, though some of the relationships are more complex than others. He has come to blows with Moira on a number of occasions due to his tendency to belittle the staff and her affection for them, but he also respects her for her intelligence and passion. Where James is concerned, Byron wishes his brother would grow a backbone and often teases him in hopes of helping him develop a thicker skin. Byron mostly gets along with Evra, especially if she's being challenging towards others, but if she disagrees with him he has been known to indulge in petty squabbles with her. Byron has a soft spot for his little sister Amelia and due to her innocence and childlike nature he couldn't find it in him to be cruel or cutting towards her.​

Appearance Description: Charlotte is short. She stands at only about five feet and two inches. She is also skinny. She always wears a corset, though she never ties it too tight, as it would be harder for her to put on and take off. Charlotte has fair skin, and her cheeks are slightly rosy. She has long brown hair that reaches just about the middle of her back, it is curly and rather hard to control. However, when she is working, she keeps her hair in a bun and kept hidden with her maids cap. When she is asleep, she wears her hair in a braid tied with a ribbon.

Clothing Description: When she is working, she wears her maids uniform. In the day, she wears a more casual uniform, and at night, she changes into a more formal black and white uniform. When she is not working, she dresses more casually. She wears simple cotton blouses and shirtwaists, and long skirts, and simple coats and hats when she is out, all in the simplest of fashions.

Personality: Charlotte is quiet. She doesn't talk much and she much prefers to keep to herself. She is quite shy, and sometimes has a hard time talking to people, and often gets nervous when she has to talk to people for the first time. Even in the servants hall, she tends to keep quiet and keep to herself, though she is a bit less nervous around them. Charlotte is an introvert, she does not like talking to people when there is really no point. She simply cannot have a meaningless conversation. They tend to bore her quickly.
She has a tendency to let her mind wander and she can sometimes lose herself in daydreams, though it seldom happens while she is working, which is a result of coming from a very creative family. Charlotte knows her place, and she has never questioned it, she has only accepted it. She knows times are changing it, and he intendeds to start questioning her position when it is safe for her to do so, now, however, she feels that it is too early for her to do so.

Bio: Charlotte is the youngest of three. She has one elder brother, Timothy, and one elder sister, Martha. Her mother was a factory worker, and Martha and Charlotte both joined her at a young age. Her father was often unemployed, jumping from job to job, taking Timothy with him. Even though the family was poor and hardworking, they were close and alway made sure to spend at least a little time together at least once a day. One by one, Charlotte and her siblings left the house for service and they each send bit of their wages back to their parents, to help keep them provided for.
Charlotte was employed at Ebbington. She became a laundry maid, however, now she works as a house maid, cleaning all around the house. She enjoys working as a maid, as it seems to be a step up from working in a factory, as she hated the conditions of the factory, always thinking that they were unsafe.

At work she wears the standard black dress and white apron of female staff in the house. Out of work she wears dresses and blouses often as colourful as she can find them or afford, most of them second hand and faded with signs of constant repairs.

She has a calm and soft spoken manner rarely showing any strong emotion like anger and or fear, seemingly always smiling and happy go lucky. She is not unemotional just good at hiding her emotions. She is self reliant and not one to ask for help even in the deepest of trouble. Hiding behind her gentle manner, she is no weakling with a strong wit and a lot of fight in her, particularly on matters like woman's rights, homosexuality (hint hint) and she is not one to just take abuse even from her bosses. She dedicated and loyal to friends and those that treat her right with a protective mother hen manner to them with a strong sense of humour with a slight mischievous side.

Parentage unknown, Margaret was raised in an orphanage in Edinburgh. The orphanage was a small and poor for the children in its care and the owners were cold and selective with the treatment of their charge. Those that seemed the more likely to be adopted were given best treatment and the rest were left them basically on their own devices and treated cruely. Maggie was considered an unadoptable expected to be either living in the street or be a ward of a factory owner to be used as labour. However that view of her was found to be wrong as she was picked for a adoption by Evelyn at age ten.

Maggie was unsure what to make of Evelyn, a saviour or someone else who would abuse her like the orphanage. She therefore was a distant and quite for a time before slowly warming up to Evelyn only calling mother at forteen. Growing up she knew that something was different about her than other girl, find an interest in other woman than men and ,despite the trust build between Evelyn and her, she kept the feelings a secret knowing stigma in. When she became of working age she took a few odd jobs but nothing stuck, due to he disinterest and Maggie argumentative nature getting into trouble. With few other options Evelyn persuaded the Duke of Singleton to hire her as a new lady's maid.​

Her lips are a pretty shade of pink, and she is often seen with a beaming smile.

Clothing Description: Amelia, still being rather young, wears dresses that are shorter, going down a little after her knees. She likes wearing light colors and pastel colors, like blues and pinks and lilacs and yellows. A lot of her dresses are sailor style dresses. She also wears long stockings, usually in white, with all of her dresses. She likes wearing clothing which are pretty and feminine. She likes clothing with little bits of lace, finding them to be pretty.

Personality: Amelia is a rather excitable and energetic girl. She sometimes comes off as looking like an over-eager puppy. She is a generally happy girl, and quite the optimist, always choosing to look on the bright side of things, and often choosing to ignore the negative side of things. She is rather good at adapting to things, generally being able to take things as they come. Amelia tends to have a lot of energy and therefore, she tends to dislike being bored, and she has a tendency to get restless rather easily. She is also not a patient person, preferring immediate gratification. When she had to wait too long for something, she tends to become rather unpleasant.
Amelia is a bit of a romantic. She had grand plans for her life, including getting married to a handsome nobleman and having lots of children. She loved children and babies, and hopes to one day be a mother. She is rather naive and had a rather innocent view of the world. She is generally a very sweet and king young lady. She tends to be very sensitive. Amelia is someone who dislikes confrontation and likes it when everyone gets along.

Biography: Ever since she was a little girl, Amelia knew that it was expected of her to marry a nobleman, and have children with him. She's never had a problem with that. On the contrary, she has found it to be rather fun.

Maternal:
Having not had children of her own, Eve is quite protective over Maggie and the female staff she supervises. She always finds time to show interest in their feelings and offer them any help she can. She likes to think she can help them succeed and be the best at their job.

Outspoken:
Although she knows her limits, Eve is not afraid to speak her mind when she deems it necessary. Whether it's lecturing one of the maids about the quality of their work or complaining to the Duke/Duchess about what Byron has said this time, she will be frank with her opinions.

Even if entirely innocent, she enjoys indulging in playful flirting and teasing from time to time. She's very rarely embarrassed or coy around men, having enough self-confidence to match their manner.

Biography:
Eve has worked for the Covingtons for two decades, starting off as a general house maid. An ambitious woman in a society that discouraged it, she was always very focused in her work and soon set her sights on improving her skills. Outside of work, she lived with her soldier husband, Roger. With him away quite often, Eve took on more work to keep busy and earn more money to supplement what they already had. Working for the Duke and Duchess for so long meant she'd been around the home since the eldest son was a still a child. This also meant that she gained the family's trust over the years and became one of their best staff members.

12 years ago, Eve received the news that Roger had died in combat during a mission in South Africa. The news devastated her and though she kept working to distract herself, she spent the following months keeping to herself and speaking very little to those around her. When she eventually overcame her grief, she became stronger than ever and more determined. After a couple more years, she was eventually promoted to the Housekeeper role. Ever since, she had proved herself to be an effective supervisor for the other female staff and also finds herself concerned for them on a personal level. From this, her maternal needs were awakened and she made the decision to adopt a child of her own. The orphanage had prepared some of the children for adoption, but Eve demanded to see all of them, including the ones they deemed unadoptable, and that's when she met Maggie. When she brought Maggie home, the girl took a few years to finally trust her, but Eve remained patient the whole time.

With her position as a higher staff member, she spends more time in the presence of the Duke and Duchess, both receiving orders and giving her own feedback to them. This helped her talk the Duke into letting Maggie work for them as a maid. Although she keeps it well hidden and tries to ignore it, she has over time developed personal feelings for the Duke.​

A smattering of freckles sit comfortably on her upper cheeks and the bridge of her nose, a personal favourite feature of hers.​

Truly Moira is not much interested in what she wears and far more interested in what she 'clads her mind' with.​

Moira Covington is an enigma even to her siblings with many facets to her personality that some people may never see. On the surface she is a pragmatic and slightly aloof woman, not usually involving herself in disputes, however this is not all there is to this young woman. Moira is incredibly intelligent and is unapologetic about it. Passionate and occasionally ruthless, Moira will use her favourite mental weaponry to fight relentlessly.

To the servants of the household, Moira interacts with a civility and palpable respect. Though she is not friendly with anyone particularly she certainly has an affection for the staff she grew up with and dislikes when they are not treated with due respect. Amongst family she is more warm and her sharp and dry sense of humour surfaces more often. She will discuss her latest reads with those siblings that will listen and has a special affection toward her father who she admires. Unfortunately, Moira is very aware that she is ahead of her time and her erudition is not entirely welcome. He prefers to wear comfortable and casual clothing, so is usually found dressed in casual trousers, a shirt and jumper or cardigan. When he has to dress up he opts for a generic black suit and tie.

Personality Description:

Humble
James doesn't consider himself more important than anyone else and sometimes forgets the distinction between his family and their servants. During formal events or visits from officials, he has to force himself to dress up and try to act like other members of his family. Even when he has worked hard on a project he is very modest about his achievement.

James can be quite shy in larger social situations and thrives better with one-on-one interactions. When his family is all together, he can often withdraw into the background, especially when things become more vocal or rowdy. He does still try to share his own opinions, but isn't as forceful with them as he should be. He much prefers everyone to be calm and relaxed.

Biography:
As a child, James never really spoke unless he needed something. His silence concerned his family for a while, until they realised he was otherwise perfectly healthy. Most of his siblings were outgoing enough that he didn't feel he had anything important to say and they said enough so that he didn't have to. It wasn't until one of his tutors unlocked his interest in science that James began to talk more. The more lessons he had, the more he began to come out of his shell. His family soon realised he'd always wanted to talk to them, but in smaller groups and about shared interests, rather than small talk or politics.

Rarely venturing away from home, James' friends consist of either his family or the staff he has befriended. Admittedly, that's enough for him as he only attends social events because it's his duty to, otherwise he'd sit out a party in favour of reading a physics book.

James is probably closest to his twin sister, Rosalyn - though they are very different they still have the special connection from being born together. James' biggest hero is his father, who risked his life fighting in wars and came back injured, only to then raise eight children. James worries that he could never do his family proud in the same way or follow in his father's footsteps. Although James doesn't show the insecurities Byron has ingrained into him, he does feel like no girl could ever be attracted to him and that he'd always be too weak to defend himself, nevermind his country. A quite individual rarely speaking to anyone unless spoke to and rarely beyond the matter of business at hand. As one would expect he has little friends and little interest in making them or most other to try and make him one.

Still the man is loyal and a gentleman would stick his head out for anyone he finds in need of protection. Thought not particularly intelligent he is strong and intimidating when he needs to be and has a serious temper he constantly attempts to keep in check. For those who try to break through his tough exterior will have a touch challenge but certainly worth the attempt.

Born to a respectable middle class family, the only child of a doctor father in London and her mother a tavern owner. Stephan had a life most will envy, comfortable with considerable education and his father's contact open a wide range of possiblities for Stephan. Stephan had all intention to take advantage wanting to follow in his father's footsteps. At 18 he was accepted in university and had a woman who he was planning to marry.

That changed though when his bride to be and her secret lovely were found murdered. As the spurned lover, Stephan was quickly under suspicion and was soon charge. He claimed innocent but neither his parents or the court believed him, he was found guilty but his father's influence saved him from execution. He was imprisoned and was a model prisoners insuring his release eight years later. He was on his own, his family gave him some money but wanted nothing more of him. She lived on the streets for a few years, and she feels that has helped her master the art of survival.
Ginnie sometimes struggles to keep her share tongue in check. She does not want to risk her place in the house by mouthing off to her superiors. She has no desire to go back to living on the street. She is quite a hard worker, not wanting to risk her place in the house. She has had a tendency to be a bit sharp-tongued towards some of her superiors, however those have been relatively minor instances.

Biography (2 paragraphs, at least): Ginnie was born in the slums, to poor parents. Her father left her for another woman when she was only about a year and a half. After that, her mother had to work as a prostitute. Ginnie's mother was barely able to pay the rent each month. There were a few nights when she went without food. When she was eight, her mother died and Ginnie was forced out onto the streets and lived there for two years. It was hard for her to her find work as she could not read. It was hard to find food and often had to resort to stealing food to keep herself from starving, though she was never caught.
She finally took a job as a laundress when she was ten. She worked at that job for three years before leaving. During the time that she worked, she lived at a boarding house, paying rent with her wages. She left being a laundress at the age of fourteen, when one of the boarders, Sarah Monaghan, at the house that she was living at had a sister, whom was the laundry maid to the Covingtons died. Sarah told Ginnie of the opportunity of living at a great manor and working for a great family. Ginnie jumped at the opportunity and applied for the job. She was hired and has worked there ever since.​

Instead, she wears dresses that don't draw attention to her flat chest, but instead show off her legs. Perhaps not ladylike for different reasons.

Talkative
Laura loves to talk to anyone and about anything. This works in her favour as she finds it easy to make friends with her peers and can be very welcoming to the Convingtons' guests. Her chatty and gossipy nature can also work against her, with her being berated on a number of occasions. She's never malicious or rude with her gossiping, but she sometimes forgets where she is.

Playful and Sassy
Laura loves to joke and have fun, which makes her popular amongst her peers as she can often be relied on to cheer them up or brighten their day. She has a lot of energy and spirit, which she loves to share with others.

Idealistic
Laura doesn't like the idea of social and class divisions. She knows she isn't rich or intelligent, important or wealthy, but she doesn't see why it should make her any less of a person than the Duke himself. Whilst she never resented her sister, Laura did often feel invisible and useless to the family.

As soon as she was old enough to work, Laura's parents demanded she found a job to support herself, no matter how menial, whilst they spent most of their own earnings on Clara's future. When she found work at Ebbington, she accepted the job and couldn't leave her parents fast enough. Although she knew she would miss Clara, she knew her sister would quickly move on and make a good name for herself.

She has a large closet, filled with clothes for every sort of occasion, and often changes clothes multiple times a day. During the day, she dresses usually in white blouses made of silk with lace detailing. When going out, she has face jackets and coats. She is warm and kind and is an excellent listener. She also always tries her best to offer people advice when they need it. She is quiet, but kind. She was the third of seven children. Her parents had three girls and four boys. She was close to her elder sister, her parents second child and first child, Margaret, who was four years her senior. She was also close to her mother, and Rose said that Clara was her favorite child. Her relationship with her father, on the other hand, was rather strained, as most of his focus was put on his eldest child, Harold, nicknamed 'Hal' so not to be confused with their father.
Clara was presented at the age of eighteen. At the time, she was one of the most beautiful ladies presented that year, as well, as one of the most eligible. She knew that she had to marry well, preferably a marquis or a duke. Despite having full dance cards at every ball she attended during her first season, about half-way through, her mother took ill, and Clara rushed home to their country estate with her. Clara attended her mother dutifully for the next five months, before her mother died. Clara was distraught over her mother's death, and she spent the next two and a half years in mourning. Like all the other ladies, Ro's skin is unmarred and milky white in complexion and she rarely goes outside without some sort of hat or sun umbrella to protect her skin.

Just like her younger sister, thick light blonde hair the color of honey cascades down her back in waves. Whenever she puts her hair up, a few strands always escape to frame her heart shaped face. Plucked and thin eyebrows perch above her cerulean blue eyes. A straight. small nose flows down to pink lips usually curved upwards in a smile.

Clothing Description:

Rosalyn prefers simplicity over anything else. Unlike many young ladies of her age and of her class, the young woman detests the long and lengthy ordeal when it comes to getting dolled up for various social events and balls. A simple dress is the key to her heart. For the most part, you can see Ro in a a-line day dress that reach her ankles, the only design usually a simple ribbon at the waist to tie the dress back or a few little ruffles at the hem of her skirt or a few layers at the bottom or minimal pieces of lace. For the most part, her closet is made up of whites, baby pinks, pastel purples and faint reds.

When no one is looking. Rosalyn will slip on a pair of breeches she stole from her brothers and go riding with her younger sister Cat. For the most part, Ro wears low heels even when she rides/

Personality Description:

Introverted, for those who don't know her all that well Ro is soft spoken and quiet. Because of her introverted nature, she doesn't enjoy speaking to others and rather prefers taking a back seat at social occasions or blending in with the wallpaper at events. On the outside. the young woman is perceived as feminine and Ro isn't so bold as to openly resist her parents the way Cat does, but rather, she keeps her audacity hidden. Instead, she continues small, minute acts of rebellion like keeping her hair down, sneaking away to ride the horses without a side saddle.

Contrary to her hush, the blonde is about as stubborn as a mule. When it comes to her stances and morals, she absolutely will not change even if you try and trade her the world. Her beliefs are what she holds onto the tightest and unless you can prove her wrong with sound and logical evidence, you might as well spend your time arguing with a rock. A little bit like a sponge, Rose has an insatiable sense of curiosity and she will literally soak up everything the same way a sponge would with water. As a younger child, she used her time to curl up, tucked away in the family library reading various novels. Whatever she could get her hands on, she would read, and like Amelia, the young woman has a little bit of a soft spot for romance novels, though she keep that a little bit of a secret.

Determined, and resilient, Rosalyn will do absolutely anything she sets her mind to and once she gets started, she won't give up very easily no matter the obstacles in her path.

Logical to a fault, Rosalyn has trouble processing the complexity of female emotions and prefers honesty. However, honesty doesn't always sit well with the other ladies, so she has learned over the years, and really, through trial and error, to shut her trap when the situation calls for it. But in this sense, coming over to her for sympathy is a lost cause. Whatever is in her mind, she will speak it to you, and if she thinks your issue is stupid or an absolute waste of time, she will tell you.

A bit on the judgemental side, Ro has a bad habit of judging others based on appearance on a first meeting basis, and will usually have pre-notions of their being before even speaking to them. Arrogant, Ro will judge others and then decide whether it is worth the time and effort to interact with them. While she doesn't necessarily think of herself as being better than anyone, she won't talk to anyone she deems as being less bright than her.

For all her faults, she is quick witted and always the first to laugh. It is rare to find her without a smile and rather than brooding over grudges, Ro is always the first to forgive and the first to laugh when the situation is appropriate. A bit more on the naive side, Ro trusts easily, but it can be a bit misplaced at times.

Biography:

There really isn't much to Ro's childhood. For the most part, she stuck to herself up in the libraries, but she is close to her whole family. As a young girl, Rosalyn was constantly sick but it never stopped her from doing anything, but it did mean she spent more time with books and family than other girls her age. Even from a young age, Rosalyn always knew she would end up betrothed, married off and then expected to have children and she's always been torn about it. For the most part, she wouldn't mind becoming a wife and mother, but she would like to do it on her own accord, not through the hushed and backstage arranging of her parents. While she never avoided her etiquette classes, the young woman adored her other classes much more.

When she turned ten, she ended up falling in love with the sport of fencing. However, it was a male sport only and so, under the nose of her parents, she sneaks off at various times each week to head down to practice at the academy where an older, more progressive gentleman has agreed to teach her. But perhaps because of Ro's mannerism and good behavior as well as her old history of being sickly, she doesn't think her parents suspect anything. Like Catriona, riding is one of Ro's favorite past times and when no one's looking, she'll take her favorite mare down a trail, hike up her skirt if she's not wearing breeches, and ride bare back with her hair streaming wildly behind her.

Their family, as big as it is, is certainly close knit. For the most part, Ro does get along with all her siblings, save the few usual squabbles they all share, but out of all of her siblings, she is probably closest to her twin, Jimmy, despite the fact that they virtually look nothing alike. ​
